South did the right thing by starting mainoo. But he needs to go a step further by instructing the other players to always look for him. It is a joke seeing Rice see more of the ball than him. If they are not gonna give him the ball then what's the point starting him.
"The more you watch them operate this window, the more convinced you become that half the games they play are just about being in the media news cycle every 48 hours. Very Elon Musk-ish." [@Pedro]
Laughable that average players like Cristante (DM of 6th placed Roma) and Fagioli (banned for sports betting missed the whole season) were picked ahead of Jorgi.
Spallletti's been past it for over a decade. Yes, massive achievement with Napoli in 22-23 but that's about it for the last 15 years. The title with Napoli was probably more about the players and a perfect storm of crisis in most Italian grands, than Spalletti giving a masterclass.
Weakest Italy I've seen in a while. They won the Euro 4 years ago. Mancini, a capable manager, levels above Spalletti.
He couldn't figure out who to play, where to play, kept changing lineups he has no clue. Di Lorenzo played in every game. That's all we need to know.
The Italian players couldn't string 2 passes together. Jorgi on the bench though. Laughable. They shouldn't have gotten out of the groups.
I’m disappointed they lost because IF we beat Slovakia they won we’d face them. And this Italy team is gash and definitely preferable to the Swiss who I’m honestly not that confident we will beat
We have better players than the Swiss left right and center but they just have this really genuinely decent lineup of players who are very calm and stable and consistent. Which irrespective of how good the England players are is the EXACT OPPOSITE of how I would describe their performances.
Foden out, Jude scores interesting

England are absolutely miserable to watch FML
Saka is once again the only England player who looks good

More like Meghan Markle-ish :)
I'm happy for my boy Kai. Was one of the best players on the pitch.
New post!
Archie Gray has agreed terms with Brentford as well from Leeds, they now just need to agree a fee with Leeds.
Smart move, should have a chance of game time at Brentford, always a risk taking a big move too early.
Newcastle signed Minteh for £7 million last July from a Danish team.
Sent him on loan to Feyenoord, only played 1,991 minutes… Scored 11, with 6 assists.
Selling him to Brighton for £33 million.
If this lad is that good?.. Have to wonder why Slot didn’t get Liverpool on the case, considering he worked with him last season.
This can only mean one thing then; Chelsea will be buying Minteh for €90m next transfer window on eight year contract
DB10: "Well he has hardly played at all this season. No decent national coach takes a player that has barely played football for the entire season."
Spalletti did that with this Fagioli fella. Two games played since October but there he was, in Italy's midfield.
Spalletti just said how he changed the players like everyone wanted him to do and that didn't help either.
Clueless, spineless, full of excuses. Said there was no way they could have performed better... Holy moly...
Well that panned out well for Italy, didn't it?
He did tell his players before the game vs Spain they were inferior, which I thought was a real men management gem and a confidence buster.

Well done Switzerland for eliminating Italy out from the Euros.
I don't think Italy realised that Switzerland are no longer a walk in the park.
Xhaka was imperious in this game.
How awful were Italy, Jesus.
Oooof. What a goal by Vargas from Switzerland. It's now getting harder for Italy. Lol!
That’s been coming.. Italians have been far too passive.
Swiss need to take advantage of their superiority while they’re dominant.
Italy surely can’t be this passive all game, and Swiss could struggle to maintain this intensity in the heat.
