I'm looking for other Arsenal blogs now. I used to do only Arseblog and Le-grove. Before I just focused on LG. Needless to say if LG remained as objective as it was during the Wenger and Unai era, I would have really considered subscribing but being objective these days could get you a 24hr suspension. It's not really worth it.

I would take Onana if we miss out on Guimares

No thanks

Spurs level player

Now we are looking to add pure quality on the ball

Game changers

I was thinking the same. I'd rather Sambi than Onana and Sambi isn't good enough

Tbh tho the biggest test of this summer is for edu

We know the clubs recruitment is generally really good but fact is our sales are garbage

Last good sale we had was ox for 40m to pool and Theo to Everton for 35m. How long ago was that?

If Nelson were a city player they would not struggle to get 25m for him

It’s imperative as well that we start making acceptable numbers on our sales not just for the money itself but because we have to change the narrative that we undersell or pay to leave. Teams have been walking all over us in the market and we need to set the record straight that our fringe players are quality players worth paying the market rate for

£35m for Balogun? £40m for Iwobi?

England under 17s lose 5-4 to Italy on penalties, Nwaneri’s penalty was emphatic.. Top bins.

So too was his goal - curled into top left corner. He needs to be in the squad next year. Dowman and Obi will also be knocking on that door very soon

Arteta needs to give elite youth a chance next season

Nwaneri under wenger would’ve already made 15 appearances. He needn’t be considered anywhere near the starting 11 but he should be a genuine option off the bench, for occasional rotation and in the lesser cups.

League cup he should start every match next season.

Dowman is 14!

Expand full comment

Yep and poised to beat Nwaneris record youngest appearance. I wasn’t however referring to next year. He and Obi will be in u21s next year and possibly the squad the following year

Little early for me

Yep.looks like it’s The Sesko kid.Hope so.Was my preference in amongst the strikers we are linked with. Now get Guimaraes in & I may just cream my pants!

I have to say that interest for Sesko indeed does look very serious from us.

Here is the link, which gives a very good account of where we are at with chasing Sesko.

https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/transfer-news/arsenal-make-huge-benjamin-sesko-29263793

A particular interesting section is from Fabrizio himself.

He said:

"Staying with Arsenal, I’m also aware that there have been new reports about Benjamin Sesko becoming their top target up front.

"However, I have no substantial update on Sesko yet. What I can say is that he rejected two proposals from Saudi, while he also has a proposal to sign a new deal with a salary increase at RB Leipzig."

Some of you have rated him and so does Arsenal by the looks of it. So this does look very promising that we are working hard on getting him over to join The Arsenal.

This Nwaneri kid is special. He needs a bigger role next season. Move Viera out of here and give it to the kid. Get a RW that can play CAM aswell for insurance like Olise or Brahim Diaz.

A beauty as well!

We’re being linked again with Amadou Onana. I know Pedro wrote him off as just a destroyer but could he be a destroyer in the mould of Rodri? Offensive stats not as good but in a better team and better coaching…..?

Potential price of £50m so half that of Bruno.

He is in the lower end of my preference. He isn't the most gifted player technically. He isn't the best passer. So he doesn't fit our team.

Teams can adapt to the players available.

For what it's worth, I was very impressed with Onana in our last game of the season.

I've said 'yes' to Arsenal too!

Sesko would be a great signing and even better if we can wrap this up in substance if not in form prior to Euros (why did the fuckwits in UEFA make the TW open same day as Euros?)

Multiple sites are beginning to report the same thing.

Trouble is one 'reputable' source mentions it and then it gets repeated. Multiple sites not multiple sources.

My mate in London heard third hand - originator of gossip is solid source tho - and he says Nketiah has already been sold but doesn't know who to.

And about a month ago, the Brazilian journo that Jesus camp use to leak info to said he been informed that Arsenal were enquiring across Europe if anyone interested in our no 9.

Come to think of it, the reason we struggle without Saliba could be, our threat at setpieces is lower.

There’s an extra 2 CL group games next season, could be 4 if we don’t qualify directly and go into the play off’s.

Be interested to see how this new format plays out.. The old format was an absolute chore.

Hopefully this new format will inject some fresh energy + excitement back into the early rounds of the CL.

I will keep an open mind on this. You might be right but I personally can’t stand the constant meddling in the game from FIFA and UEFA who keep fixing ‘problems’ that didn’t need fixing and we end up with a worse result. eg VAR and offside rules.

I like the idea of 8 different opponents. Should mean that there are far fewer meaningless matches. Also like the fact that there will be no parachuting into the EL.
