Any "winning" project that lasts 5 years in the making is a "let's wait and see" project. A hopeful one at best cos eventually, even a bad clock can be right twice a day.
If you aren't winning by year 3, at least, it's probably just gone to shits.
At this point it's getting clearer and clearer that Arteta IS the problem. Either he can't buy well or he's not good enough to use the players well.
He has not been a failure by any stretch of the imagination but he has not been great either. Far from it. This season end, if I would be saying thanks and goodbye regardless...
Pedro thought Chelsea were dead in the water for 5 years
Pedro thought Liverpool couldn't replace Klopp (I remember the barrage I took for suggesting Liverpool had found a coach within a week of Klopp resigning)
Pedro thought all Arsenal needed to dominate was pray for Pep leave. Like every other team will stand still lol.
To all the silly fans always asking who better than Arteta or who will replace Arteta, what jokes did you make when Slot was appointed? Or when Maresca was?
The coach may be important, but not as important as y'all make it. They are probably 150 coaches right now that Arsenal can select from.
Just focus on the cups and if he fails as well this season, get Arteta out of the damn club!
Coaches abound. That's probably what I meant to say. Maresca was poached from a championship club for example. Kompany after 1 relegated season in the PL. Arteta himself was poached from city as an assistant. He didn't have any body of work. Brighton's coach is 29 and I didn't even know him before this season.
There's really nothing special about coaches. 70 percent or more of their successes are fueled by the club, environment and players they work with. Including Pep.
Fulham knew where the threats were on the right hand side. Disrespected us by leaving space on the left hand side knowing we were impotent as an attacking force down that side. A quality striker and left winger are must buys in January for us to have a chance of winning the league. We won't do it of course. Kroenkes only happy with top 4 and increasing stadium capacity to grab more matchday revenue. Surely I'm not the only one seeing how this pans out...again.
The sight of Jesus looking up in exasperation at the heavens is one of the most annoying sights in world football
Stop asking god to help you and start taking responsibility for your own mistakes. Look at yourself to work out what you’re doing wrong and work on it rather than hoping good will suddenly gift you some form
The Gabriel Jesus fall has been quite spectacular, literally every aspect of his play has collapsed. To think start of last season he had Dalot sliding out of the stadium before slotting home and now he has all the panic shakiness of prime Chamakh on or off the ball.
No easy fix - £45m transfer fee on a 5 year deal, 2nd highest earner I do believe.
Tierney is not the answer to any problems at Arsenal. He’d come on for 30 seconds and go off injured. He’s also the most basic player we have in the squad
If you want to move Timber to RB (good call) utilize MLS rather than Tierney. One is the past the other is supposed to be the future
Also found the corner fc jokes a bit on the nose as well, I mean it's great we've finally gotten very dangerous at them but we're maybe not creating as much and relying on them and that's absolutely not going to win you any trophies.
Love Mikel and how far he's brought us from when he took over but this far down the line and the squad still needing a quality striker and wingers is criminal negligence, matter of fact he's been quite bad at buying attacking players at least in my opinion, hopefully next summer we actually go all out and get one, you watch say an Isak and see his movement up front and watch our main striker and he does try his best but goodness me the movement is almost non existent and the option off the bench is just sad really.
Very appreciative of what Arteta has done but this was a drab first half performance. And with all respect Pedro, are we now in the phase where we have to wait for Slot to leave Liverpool to have a chance at the title?
So we fucked up again. Against Fulham. Seems like we’re not learning. Same old Fulham and Newcastle. Can’t buy a win against these teams. Hope Pedro doesn’t carry on with his best team in the league gibberish. Clearly not. At this rate, clearly 3rd best. And for all the talk about wanting to be the best at everything, of how scoring goals isn’t a problem, well it clearly is. Take set piece goals out, and check our league ranking. Okay granted it doesn’t work that way, but if one is aiming to be the best at everything, then you can’t be 10th best at scoring open play goals can you. And as supporters we are then completely within our rights to criticise our lack of goal scoring options. Also, what TF is our record with Partey as RB. I know he didn’t fuck up in this game, but why that guy at RB again and again when clearly the team has just a horrible record with him in that position. Why not rice. Why not 3 at the back ? Why not a back 4 of timber, saliba, Kiwor and Skelly ? Why mess two positions ?
This past summer we fucked it up. We had room to bring in two top players in attack and for whatever reason we didn't. It might be related to PSR.
But now the gap between us and Chelsea is closer. They signed felix, Sancho amd Neto just in one summer. They have a better collection of attackers right now and we have the better set of defenders. Midfield, I still think we are ahead.
Yep and galaxy brain unbalanced the team switching Timber to left back and Partey to right back all because Zinchenko yes Zinchenko was injured. Last season for Arteta if we are a serious club
Can't keep missing chances to take up ground, now put ourselves into position where we need an incredible run like last season coupled with Liverpool having to drop many points. It's not over but it def has vibe of getting WAY down the road. Was pretty convinced we'd go on major run until new years, still might no crime in dropping points away to a very good Fulham its just that we've let the gap go so far every moment feels momentus and its just early December.
Nwaneri only player on bench that really feels like he can offensively impact in positive ways, along with Martinelli if he's not starting i'd never gamble against him but man is he on some wretched form. As for the rest, pretty dire.
Edu must be on the blower shopping Jesus all over Italy looking at replacement's.... WAIT.
Agree the start felt like a hangover from going to last day for me, side looked leggy out of gate and w/ too much weight of being favourites burdening them. Red cards and key injury's didn't help obviously but thats football. Love how far we come defensively but think its definitely cut into our attacking prowess. We now play this version of Mikel smother ball that does wonders at suffocating opponents but once / if they breech like today 1 goal from 2 shots overall we lack the ability to turn it on. Our season will live or die with ability to get CF more involved at moment its all Saka. We are living from his output.
Against the many deep blocks we'll face Mikel needs to be more brave with starting XI, that may involve Nwaneri and Ø on at same time, less handbreak.
This place is so utterly predicatable after a poor result. Its like someone left the gate open at the cunt farm.

Salah going to sign for 2 years, no drop off this year!
There goes that angle.....
Will AFC sign a striker, a winger or a left back that can actually play in the window.
Betting odds say no, unless it is a cast off on loan.......

150?????????????????????????
Probably more than that.
Stop being harsh mate. Be fair.

I have got fed up with Jesus and his worried look he puts on everytime he comes on.
He doesn't inspire confidence at all.
We really need to get rid of him as he is now become a real waste of space.
Arteta did his best in trying to boost him this summer but the payback has been really subpar.
We need to get rid of him.
That worried look is criminal running around the pitch like 😣. Frankly I’d rather see him pull this face as it would be more fitting 🥴
Jesus has been toast since the World Cup for Brazil.
Came back broken........

My heart sank when I saw Jesus coming on for harvetz. As bad an all as Havertz was, that was a ridiculous substitution.
And my feeling with Martinelli coming on was hardly much better,
Shocking bench options up top. 😟😟😟
Yep
Surely tierney was worth a try a left Back, so we could keep timer and Partey in their favored positions.
Tierney is not the answer to any problems at Arsenal. He’d come on for 30 seconds and go off injured. He’s also the most basic player we have in the squad

Sal, I was expecting us to get out of the starting blocks kicking at the atart of the season and we just didn't.
The meek summer TW has not screamed game changer at all, has it?
