The other way to read this is with “Big Ange” staring at a sacking early into next season. He rouses his Spuds into one last show of early season Spuds. Son has a field day and they hold Cheaty to a draw.

I think if Arsenal could win the title it’ll be by City drawing rather than losing.

“You know what is going on [with my emotions],” Arteta says, when asked how it has been to watch City. “You just want to win [the title] and to win you need others to drop points and you are hoping for that to happen"

So do I want to see The Arsenal win. Let's beat Bournemouth and keep the pressure on Cheaty!!!

Adebayo goal for Luton mean Raya wins golden gloves for this season, Pickford can't overtake him now.

Assist for Sambi as well, hopefully he has a strong end to the season, and attracts suitors.

"The home shirt will go on sale on Thursday 16th May exclusively by Arsenal and adidas."

From gooner twitter, we can't wear new shirt for last match of season if we still competing for title because the league wants all photos, images of them wearing this year shirt and also many fans would be cranky if we win title and then collect trophy in unfamiliar shirt.

Daily Mail -

"Arsenal will pay a tribute at their game against Bournemouth on Saturday to a 14-year-old supporter who was murdered in a samurai sword attack earlier this week.

Daniel Anjorin, a boyhood Arsenal fan, was killed on Tuesday on a suburban east London street in Hainault while on his way to school."

Samurai sword attack to kill a child? What the actual fuck is wrong with some people??? What the actual fuck

Expand full comment

This shit happens in London every week

You not heard of zombie knives?

Expand full comment

I have but it still blows my mind. How mentally ill does a person need to be to buy an actual sword and then use it?

Expand full comment

This shit only happens because the British legal system is so soft on violent crime

Try walking around with a sword in Singapore, let alone using it and it’s going to be the death penalty even for a kid

Drugs as well. Give life sentences for those caught dealing or moving drugs and weapons into the country and see how quickly these scum bags sort themselves out.

I LOVED seeing Ange lose his $hit on the sidelines yesterday...especially after his quiet behavior during the rest of the season. Oh and did you see the his interview with Sky? Ange was boiling mad. He's pi$$ed at the team that HE built and that home game against the Oilers is going to be a big one. The Tiny Tots need to make a statement to their home fans that they can still play well at this point in the season - add to that the Oilers terrible record at the Toilet Bowl. It going to be a big game that could help us. We need to run the table and win the rest of our games and maybe we'll get lucky. Vamos Vamos Baby!

By the way, is this some sort of record that our whole squad is available for selection? Surely if Ange can get 'London manager of the year', we can get some sort of award for this? I'd rather PL obviously!

Nketiah + Nelson for Olise- Deal or no deal?

Expand full comment

Apparently, CP have asked for permission to talk with Nelson so maybe a deal including Reiss and a bit of £££ to get trade done.

Expand full comment

Yeah if there’s money on the table 20+m would be welcome

Not for me Bob..

Olise has played just 1,014 minutes this season, had 2 biggish hamstring injuries over the last 2 seasons.

For a position that requires a lot of intensive sprints, and taking into account how often our wide players get kicked.. That should be a red-flag.

Would rule Neto out for the same reason.

Strong possibility that Eddie, Nelson, Smith Rowe all depart this summer though, providing we get permanent offers.

Rich who would you target then? There are bare wingers that are up to that level. We don't want to replace Nelson with a player who is slightly better.

Sometimes you have to compromise a bit. City with Ilkay Gundogan and he turned out to be one of their best investments in recent years. He was injury prone before then. The idea that you can have 23 players who are all fitness monsters is unrealistic.

I am not advising to get Neto who is just a pure risk at this point. But Olise was pretty fit before those two hamstring injuries the past two seasons. We need to have quality options besides fitness too.

Rodrygo.

Would be expensive, but we could potentially offset some of that through departures.

Expand full comment

Is he going to be available though? People are just thinking he would be the one to leave because Endrick and Mbappe arrive. But the most likely out come is one of Arda Guler or Brahim Diaz leaving.

But if we can get him, I would be on board with that. But it isn't likely. Olise though, 50 to 60 mil and he is ours imo. I am thinking realistic targets.

The media love to hate, it’s always a problem when Arsenal do the things that the rest of the elite clubs do. I do suppose it’s a bit of a different way of play but this isn’t something new Ben’s always been a bit of menace, good coach’s would prepare for that and ange didn’t. Get better spuds

But I do like Postecoglou realizing at half time that putting a body on White at corners might be a good idea.

He and a few other managers as well extremely slow to react to this more than obvious Arsenal ploy.

Expand full comment

Putting someone on white means taking someone from somewhere else, where players like Gabriel like to attack and exploit

It’s why I’ve always found it folly to double mark someone. That only works if you can afford to go lax in another position. If you double marked Henry, pires and Ljungberg would have a field day in the freed up spaces for example

It only works against teams who have a single focal point

So long the EPL refs allow White’s shithousing at corners then who cares

From today press conference -

"Mikel Arteta has admitted that Jurrien Timber could make his long-awaited return from injury when Arsenal take on Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend.

"Yes everybody is fit and available," the Spaniard said when asked about the team news for this weekend. "So now it's the headache to make the right selection."
