Merry Xmas to the Gooner family. As always,Arsenal make things difficult for ourselves. Its in the history of the club. But then we’ve always fought against the odds & somehow been triumphant in the most impossible situations. This looks like one now.Lets see if ‘special sauce’ earns his Moniker.

Merry Christmas everyone! Given I’m 8 hours ahead of the UK I guess I’m one of the first on here who Santa has visited? Unless we have ourselves some aussies, Japanese, Koreans/m, kiwis etc??

A quick tldr of the article is blah blah Arteta thinish squad blah blah not his fault and something about what if Liverpool or City lost this or that player. Basically excuses and absolving blame for what is basically an imbalanced squad put together by Arteta. Here's the thing maybe if he didn't put together a team that goes through one player and one side then maybe that player wouldn't be worked like those mistreated donkey you see in ads.

Sort out the left side and have a balanced attack and Saka either goes down less or the effect of losing him is less.

Our players will step up and cover - as much as is possible - for the absence of our star man.

It's a team game, and we're definitely a team rather than a bunch of individuals.

Hope everyone has a great holiday period.

it may sound silly but I think saka‘s absence is less problematic for us compared to odegaards. I don‘t want to argue who the better player is but truth to be told it isn‘t down to the greatness of one particular player but rather our capabilities of compensating the loss. so what does saka offer us? he goes for goal (and hits it often), going down the line and getting good balls in. he has real good output. but honestly he doesn‘t have too much influence in getting us in good positions - his play in midfield isn‘t noteworthy. we will feed our player in the right side around the penalty box - he may not have similar output but I am not too worried here to be honest. sure it looks like he will miss spurs, villa and city and he may very well have made a difference in either one of those games but we have seen in the past we can cope in big games without him (eg city home last year)

***What did we do? Arsenal won 10 games on the bounce to secure the league. That season, Thierry scored 32, Freddie 17****

Barely 2 weeks after you told us theres only one player in this team capable of doing things the above players were capable of doing

When did I tell you our players couldn't score goals?

I honestly don't believe we need to sign anyone in January. Even with the injuries we have, we have enough players available to keep the heat on Liverpool and Chelsea.

45% of our play goes through the right side, the highest in the EPL.

We are the lowest EPL team in playing through both the left side 31% and the middle 23%

Interesting Sid.One dimensional with Saka. But you can see why.Over reliant on him.Now we have a huge problem. However when he was out briefly, earlier this season, the side played with a lot more variety.Of course that only works if said players we already have step up or return to form.

Gooners on twitter saying we can't do a loan in Jan window because of epl bylaws.

Apparently the rule is that epl team can only have two players on loan at once - Sterling and Neto - so there is no space for new loan player unless we send one of those two players back to their original club.

Overseas loans are allowed.

How is everyone solving the Saka crisis in fantasy football - thinking about buying Marti or Ode but are we ever going to score an open play goal without Saka? It feels wrong to sell Saka and not replace him with another arsenal player but I want decent point totals as well so I just don't know.

Kudus is great. In the summer, I was all for signing right sided players. I wanted Olise in particular. But now with the emergence of Nwaneri and the complete crap being served up by Martinelli and Trossard on the left, we need a left sided player more than we do a right sided one. Kudus's worst position is left wing. He would come in and start for us on the right immediately, but we will have a problem in a few months when Saka returns.

I want us to look for left sided players. The dream for me would be Rodrygo. Madrid always stack up talent and someone will always want to leave. Offer cash and see what falls out. We also have brazillians to tempt him and he wants to play on the left which he won't because they have Mbappe and Vini. if we are looking at loan options though, Brahim Diaz is the way to go.

Eze isn't a natural winger but he would be on my list too. Our creating ability would definitlely improve if we play him left wing.

Semenyo, Adingra even Williams aren't ready to carry this attack. They are all potential and we won't see their best this season.
