Guys let people have their opinions.

Stop abusing people just because they don’t agree with you. Especially when comments are not directed at you personally.

Everyone loves the club dammit. This childish bickering is tiresome … damn I can’t wait for kickoff so we can have real games to talk about instead of all these Male Karen’s getting triggered by attention seeking comments.

You see this is why I'd never consider giving money to Pedro. You just get people saying all kinds of wild horrible shit and nothing gets done about it. Like what do you pay for?

I think me personally we should be able to deal with Spurs even with the players out and shortness in some areas. It's after that there's a slight worry. Like odegaard is a big miss but we should be able to mix it up and deal with it.

To remain relevant, we have to improve our open play goals and make sure our setpiece conversion is as good as last season or better.

Lets hope Raheem improves our open play goals.

My fear is that the last two seasons might turn out to be a missed opportunity. I was upbeat about the season last year than I am now. Partly because I don't think it will be easy to go toe to toe with city three years in a row. Klopp could not. But the two seasons he challenged the city juggernaut, he won the ucl the first time and won the league title in the second season. He was exhausted and left. Arteta would have done the impossible should he challenge city for the third year. For us to have any chance at all, we need to match city next week. This year may witness city take the title without much challenge.

My other fear is if we don't win a major title this season, it will be difficult to keep the squad together for another push. Saliba and saka mainly. Odegaard too if city feels he can replace odegaard. This season is the most important season of all.

BBC Sport (Mark Chapman) is suggesting Ethan Nwaneri could start the NLD! The only comp for this is Cesc Fabregas (age 17) making 3 appearances in the league cup during the Invincibles season (03/04) - and 46 appearances the next season. Is it too early for Ethan to play in such a massive game for a team with aspirations to win the league? Personally, I think give him a chance, he's surrounded by experienced players and the only natural replacement for Odegaard. If this was Lamine Yamal ...

In normal circumstances I would expect Havertz or Trossard to play AMF role as replacement for Odegaard.

The left midfield position would be played by Rice with Merino as his back up. Partey

would operate in central midfield role with Jorginho as backup.

However, with three midfielders missing with either red card or injuries Arteta will

have to consider very carefully his midfield options this weekend.

Nwaneri's expectations this season would normally be to come off bench and/or

perhaps play in a Carabo Cup game against a team like Bolton. That would be a logical

starting point.

First of all congratulations to the club on offering Arteta a three year contract, which I am glad that he has accepted as indeed most genuine supporters will be also pleased to see.

Sadly there are always a small number of people who like to criticise and are never satisfied.

Let's be analytical.

Arteta inherited a squad which was not fit for purpose when he arrived and included a number of

players who were frankly toxic. It took two years to clear out those element and build a young and

inexperienced group of players into a "competitive" team/squad which we see today.

In the last two seasons we have finished second behind the strongest team possibly in 21st Century and we qualified for Champions League. We are the second best team in EPL.

Last season we scored a phenomenal number of goals despite lacking a prolific striker and our

defence was the best in the league. Okay we did not win a trophy, but that should not detract from

our achievements.

This summer the club did not go overboard in the transfer market chosing to focus on strengthening our squad rather than buying headliners. Merino, Calafiori and Sterling is smart

recruitment and provides more experience and depth.

Apart from the lack of a goal scoring striker my only gripe is the turnover of goalkeepers under

Arteta's watch. Recruitment of a goalkeeper should be a "long term investment". I have yet to

be convinced that Raya fits that bill and I am concerned about Neto as a replacement for Ramsdale. However, that is detail in the overall picture.

What I do know is that Arteta and Edu are building a very strong and competitive team whatever

the negative critics post on here.

Neto is just a loan. So, we are technically still on the look out for a back up keeper.

I am wondering whether we are secretly hoping on landing on the 2nd coming of Ederson.

the desperate bitterness of a blatant spud Andy Dunn in this article is hilarious

He’s literally FUMING that Arsenal loaned a player from Chelsea and he could score against spurs but can’t face Chelsea. As tho he’s never heard of a loan before

He literally describing as undermining the integrity of the PL 😂😂😂😂😂

If some of you are wondering why pussies like Ciro and Mystic are so depressively negative and pessimistic, it’s probably because they are poor and have little money in real life. Wasting energy being cunts about this kind of shit is poor people activities.

I half agree but wouldn’t you think they’d be too busy trying to make ends meet then?

For me it’s relatively simple and like I said the other day. There are two factors that determine every spurs result

1) did the opposition defend well?

2) did the opposition take some of their copious number of chances down the other end?

If either of the above are a ‘no’ spurs get a result. If both are a yes spurs get wrecked.

They are entirely predictable and are frankly a very poorly coached team. If you don’t make silly mistakes or get flustered by all the noise they make, they’re only really a mid table team in terms of actual quality.

But that’s the thing. Teams do allow themselves to get flustered by all that hot air from them and when they get flustered they make mistakes both defensively and offensively, which gifts spurs points.

Purely from a quality perspective, our lineup this weekend should frankly shit all over them. But without rice and Ode, that question of if our lads will still keep their heads and avoid getting flustered remains to be seen. Especially in midfield and CF positions where there are changes in the lineup

I have a feeling we are going to beat spurs. What I am worried about is the Man City game. But Rice will be back for that too. I am not losing my head like some fans. I am happy with the squad we have and I believe they can handle it.

We have the squad to manage these games, I’m also hopeful for Sunday. Everytime I need a slight confidence boost Hab is there! It’s good.

City will be an entirely different nut to crack but lets go game at a time.

Agreed; there will be many games where key players are missing ; the reinforcements should be higher quality this year to step in when required

I am absolutely convince that we can and will the league this year and I also convinced that we were the best team in Europe at least the last season, I would start Nwaneri on Sunday, that would be a statement of confidence, I understand it may be too hot for young man to go the Den of our enemies !!
