Rumours of interest in Nketiah from a few PL clubs. Not from best sources, but decent. Definitely someone who should leave if he gets a chance.. even if its a small paycut. At this stage of his career, if he can go be a bigger fish in a smaller pond, he should do it.
The player I'd most love to move on is Jesus. Not likely though.
I don't believe those Hutchinson numbers. You know for a fact Chelsea throws money around to Journos, personalities like Fabrizio Romano. They allegedly have paid him over a million to stoke rumours for them. There's a lot of benefit to them.
The sell on % I saw also, sounds a bit fantastical too. Must be lower than stated.
Hopefully we'll hear some facts on the transaction if it happens. Ornstein type facts.
From what I can recall , the majority of posters were against Toney, not for. There were a few whom thought a battering ram might work (and probably would on the right occasion) but frankly who cares?
He is linked with Tottenham which wouid be a perfect match - a classless player who bets against his own team being employed by a classless club whose fans supported the other team
People who made fools of themselves on some of our players ... now conveniently like to "forget" about those days.. it was not a one-off .. it was daily screeching.
People like you are the reason the 65 million song exists. Ironic, no?
If you hammered Havertz, White or Ramsdale DAILY online, from the very moment they were linked, I can imagine why you'd find the subject "boring" as you say....
But they've become loved by the fanbase, and esteemed by better judges than you. You just regurgitate things you read online. Never an original thought.
You should be able to handle the same treatment you give to our players online.
You would prefer the glowing treatment you give spurs players, I'm sure.
...yes, not just the reactionaries online... but a lot of posters that I like including Pedro were on the wrong side of the Toney dreams..
A move like that and we'd be a lot poorer, and stuck with a useless, aging, expensive lump. I gave stats and reasons why it made no sense.
I notice Tottentom didn't mention my faith in Havertz being right against the large majority who were ripping the deal and price.
Renewing Arteta at a title winning, world class manager salary ... I was the only person saying we should do it regardless of where we finished the season.
Tom's famous calls were Conte and Richarlishit being world beaters and great business.
The reason I didn’t mention it was because then I would also have to mention you were against it before you were for it, and even though I was the only one here who was truly for it before it happened …..I am soooooo utterly bored of the whole Havertz subject and anyone who brings it up.
But I will make you a deal, find that quote of mine liking Richarlison and I’ll PayPal you $1k which should more than enough to compensate you for time spent fumbling around the archives.
Pedro - Apparently Wenger treated the money as if it was his own. Personally I always had the same question. If you are getting such amazing returns why not buy?
That was all obvious before ES- Chelsea still managed to steamroller us. All logic points to us - stable club- on verge of trophies- in CL whereas Chelsea a basket case. But sometimes money talks when you have a club with more access to money than sense. Maybe PSR this time can’t be ignored though and no 8 year contracts to get around the rules
Frankly if I was given the choice between these two and factoring in the cost of the transfer and wages I would opt for Sesko.
Osimhen is I am sure a very good player, but his goalscoring performance last season was very similar to Havertz. He is not for me a game changer and his costs are frankly prohibitive.
Sesko scored last season a similar number of goals in Bundesliga. If the reports are accurate his
transfer fee and wages will be significantly less.
More importantly if Sesko joins the club he will arrive initially as a replacement for Nketiah and/or
competing for starting lineup place with Havertz.
On the other hand if Osimhen comes to the club he would need to be guaranteed a starting place
in the team.
Osimhen's cost would also impact on Arsenal's transfer business in strengthening the team and
squad.
I do not consider him a strategic buy or good value for the £105 million + wages that he is likely to cost.
If you are spending money on that scale you want an upgrade and/or match winner.
ES - I agree with all of that. I think also you have to factor in that although Seskos goal record was similar he had like Kai to start with a new club and was on the bench for nearly half of RB’s season. So his goals were mostly in second half of season.
He has only just turned 21 and the attributes he has re height, build, speed and two footed control give him a massive chance of succeeding in Prem.
Just hope Chelsea don’t succeed in doing a Mudryk again on us. Sesko seems to know his own mind though and shouldn’t be bullied into a decision. He will also have noted how Mudryk move turned out
Anybody who would choose the Chelsea "project" over us, deserves what they get. I don't want them.
Even in the case of Murdick who I mock... the kid was pushed to Chelsea by corrupt people around him.. the pressure was immense, and he wanted to escape Ukraine. I give him a pass. He really wanted us.
Any other player would be either overly greedy or just plain thick.
Either way, I wouldn't want them.
It's also true... stories of Chelsea hijacking our transfers are the easiest clickbait.
Agreed Emirates.Plus people have to ask the question as to why the chavs pulled out of chasing him & have turned their beady eyes to our target of Sesko,(other than the fact they love trying to nick Arsenal targets )
Bissouma is really a douche bag, strutting around Cannes with a 300,000 euros wrist watch.
Does he think any of the truly famous and wealthy people there care about someone half baked Spurs player?
How many orphanages and charities is he supporting in Mali?

There will be some chaos if Chelsea succeed in selling Omari Hutchinson for 20-30 million this summer
That will be as bad as Barca selling Auba after we paid his wages for 6 months
There’s a post on X stating we have a 50% sell on clause.
If that's the case, then Bravo but we have to do better in the future.
The lad didn't play a single game for them, same way he wouldn't have played for us so why are they making a penny off him?

Toney and either Spurs or Chelsea, seems like a perfect match.

How come I can still post ?
Why wouldn’t you - the posts are accessible by all and the paywall doesn’t affect that
You do have a substack account don't you?
There you go I can't reply to the new post

I offer to be the intermediary for 10% which I will donate to Pedro's substack to sponsor membership for any two posters that Pedro chooses

Northbanker & Postive Pete
I am not remotely concerned about Chelsea's potential intervention.
Arsenal are second in EPL and qualified for Champions League. Chelsea finished well below us in
EPL and are not qualified for CL.
Arsenal are more than able to compete with Chelsea in transfer market. Obviously we are not going
to pay grossly inflated prices.
Chelsea are run by a bunch of cowboys with more money than sense and they like to interfere with
decisions making. There is no evidence of stability in both management, coaching and playing
personnel.
Contrast that with how Arsenal are run.
That was all obvious before ES- Chelsea still managed to steamroller us. All logic points to us - stable club- on verge of trophies- in CL whereas Chelsea a basket case. Great to see Nigel back and taking credit for predicting so astutely Arteta extension and bump in pay was the move, while signing Toney wasn’t.
Only he …………and about 90% of posters got that correct.
Did Nigel predict Elneny and Soares departures?
I still have a soft spot for Toney at say £50m……steady Nigel!
Well, that makes you either a clown or a dinosaur.
You pick.
Tough choice......I'll go dinosaur!

It could simply be that Osmihen insisting on CL football.
Pretty sure Sesko wants to play CL and not conference league for midtable Chelsea, who are not stealing any transfers from us this time around.
Hoping Arsenal can sign a really top midfielder, who’s ready to bang straight off the bat.
Yep.Guimares( who the dippers are now sniffing about) OR Fofana a cheaper ,slightly more risky option would do.
If we sign Fofana, we still need an EPL proven midfielder to be on the safe side.
If we sign Fofana it unlikely we sign Guimares, they are similar.
Amadou Onana. Strong and has top speed for EPL midfielders.
Onana Sid?
Aim much higher for talent if we're going to buy someone for this squad.
We won’t be buying 2 CMs.
We might if one of them is versatile and could cover a FB position.
