After the Sporting game, we have a series of 14 games when we only leave London once, away to Brighton. Weird how the fixtures work out!

We all want to see Nwaneri more and I trust he will be getting much more time on the pitch; I read that he’s been promised that as the season progresses. He is such an obvious talent. Even though he hasn’t played much there can be no doubt that his teammates must recognise that he deserves to be on the pitch with them. Odegaard is brilliant but with Nwaneri now, we’ve got an analog replacement for those times when Odegaard needs resting, whether that’s like yesterday for the last 10 minutes or before long when Nwaneri could start with Odegaard starting on the bench. With the number of fixtures coming thick and fast, we need to keep players at the top of their form and not overplay them.

I don’t get the point about ‘not leaving London once”

How is that an advantage?

It’s not like the UK is Canada or Russia, in-terms of geographical spread.

Do you think well catered traveling on executive jets is why we are struggling?

These are professional athletes who’ve been playing on the road since they were in elementary school ffs.

In any case the two games that cost us in the last season’s December games were against London clubs; Fulham and Westham.

The stuff that bounces around Arsenal echo chamber is so annoying, now it’s not having to travel.

Did I say it was an advantage? I do think it makes life marginally easier for the players.

Glad to see you backtracking very quickly from that ridiculous suggestion.

Weird how logical thinking clears away all that feeble theory about proximity of games.

Happy to be of service .

Read it I again! I did not comment on whether it was an advantage.

‘Ridiculous suggestion’ really? Your response is ridiculous.

‘Happy to be of service’ wtf?

Nwaneri has no right to have output this good and consistent at this level at his age. Genuinely prodigious talent

For a 17 year old you’re just happy if he comes on and doesn’t look badly out of place. Not so with him. Almost every game he plays he makes decisive goal contributions and he looks totally fearless. Kid is a monster talent and needs to be looked at very seriously to grow the minutes we give him this season. He’s not a kid, he’s an important squad player. If we’d signed him for 40m in the summer and his passport said he was 23, we’d expect him to be a serious rotation option right now. That’s where he’s at. Long May his growth continue

Long time Grove hope all living dreams and best life scenarios.

Gotta give Ange his flowers that was momentus even if Spurs wielded the hatchet.

Pep is bleeding and in all the karmic glory of the EPL City now faces Livarpool at Anfield to keep the dream alive. Bizarre twist seeing this implosion minus a few players, feels quite familar.

Regarding the Arsenal today if you can't or wont grasp Arsenal with and without Ødegaard in its current form its time to take a long break in a dark closet of your choosing. Yes not inventive to say Saka is a great player but make no mistake he is a greater player with Martin in the side (not inventive either). Agendas are so dull, TR7 had one against Ø stating ESR was miles ahead (the quotes were special so special we should revisit) yet here we are. Plowing thru a form team for 3x points with Ødegaard spearheading.

My comments

First half officiating was appalling as usual. Aside from the crap ref decisions left and right, the goal being ruled out for offside was pathetic. They spent 5 mins desperately looking to prove something that was CLEARLY inconclusive, the finally drew the lines which appeared to show him onside/inconclusive and they still give it offside. WHAT FUCKING OFFICIATING NONSENSE IS THIS 🤦‍♂️

re our performance

First half was perfect. Loved it. Second half I did feel at 2-0 we had a period where we again retreated a bit and going forwards our passing got lax. Those second half periods have been costing us our lead all season. Thankfully we didn’t give up any good chances and finally got the third. We do need to avoid that unnecessary second half retreat tho as better teams can and have hurt us for it

All in, very happy. 3-0 is what the doctor ordered and with city losing by 4, we don’t only take 3 points off them but get a +7GD swing on them which is crazy.

Lovely day

Hey Pedro are we now supposed to take the law into our hands here since no one is willing to check Low IQ individuals who contribute nothing to the conversation here except abuse to go Scot free? Is this what we are on now?

Hey if it’s okay to be a free for all then I’m all for it … just letting be out there

Please rest with the whole Odegaard rhetoric,it's becoming boring, even an unborn child can see the important of the captain except you

What Ozil is to Pierre is what you're to Odegaard howbeit in the opposite

Enjoy the win please

I'm very happy. I even got the result right.

Plus Man City got trounced.

When rodri went down I told everyone here that it was no longer between us and Man City this year, not just because of his injury but because of other things hanging over the club I do think they're going to be sanctioned I also think that the players moods over the situation are not great and hopefully Pep with his fake extension won't make much differenceit .....

It is between us and Liverpool.

I'm hoping Liverpool season will be a little bit like ours 2 years ago when we had that incredible first half and started to show our weaknesses in the second half. That's the hope at least

Very excited by Nwaneri’s cameo. He looks so confident and with the level of skill - why not? The move and shot before the actual goal showed incredible control. I know Tets wants to bring him on slowly but this lad has everything. He’s going to be world class. Can you imagine when Max Dowman also pushes for a place in a couple of years?

Expand full comment

Some players are simply head and shoulders above their age group and must not be held back arbitrarily

I don’t expect or ask him to be an automatic starter or anything silly, but if you look at his average level this season he looks class.

Players like that need to be unleashed. Yes in a controlled manner, but unleashed.

It happens very occasionally. Did with cesc. Did with Saka. Has with Saliba too. Some players are just PL quality when they’re fresh out of diapers. Appreciate them and let them kick on. It’s very rare but such players do pay real dividends. Just need to avoid doing anything silly like overloading him unreasonably or kicking up a fuss when he inevitably makes a mistake here or there.

Come on mate. Surely you can see that Øde is the engine of our team.

With out him there is no spark in our midfield.

That much is obvious.

1.66 xG yesterday.

We had 2x that against Southampton.

We had 4x that against Leicester.

Wonder how we did that without the engine of our team and without a spark in midfield.

Ethan Nwaneri is like a combination of Odegaard and Foden. He has that Foden control and spin, he's also not shy about going for goal... We've got a special talent on our hands here. PS, well taken goal as well
