It is being suggested that Man United have booked a medical for Ayden Heaven with a view to signing the player. This will be the second highly rated player that Man Utd have signed from us.
What is surprising is that Transfermarkt have not disclosed who Heaven's agent is despite the player being 18 years old.
My suspicion is that the agents are Elite Project Management Limited who are the same people
who acted for Obi Martin.
Over the years this agency recruited many of the Nigerian/African players in Arsenal's Academy.
Most of the players represented by them have left the club.
The only one left on our books of any significance is Saka and that has to be a concern. It would
not surprise me that this Agency is now working closely with Man Utd.
Oliver is a disgrace to football as far as I'm concerned. Sadly, the PGMOL doesn't seem to see anything wrong, or personal, about what Oliver has been doing to Arsenal all these years. Anybody that looks at the record - reds and yellows Oliver has issued to Arsenal in his career- knowis it isn't normal. There's definitely something unethical about Oliver's actions.
I hear there is an ongoin investigation into the threatening text messages fans directed at Oliver and his family members following the Kelly red Saturday. I will never ever condon such reactions for whatever reason, but I'd have loved the authorities to use such power of swift investigation of theirs to investigate Oliver for the record cards against Arsenal.
Unfortunately, there's a collusion against Arsenal. Already they've made it impossible for Arsenal to win the league this season again looking at points already lost due to bad decision taken against Arsenal.
I ask, don't EPL teams, especially in the case of Arsenal Vs Oliver, have the right to reject a referee they see him to hold something personal against them? Don't teams have the right to apply that referees they suspect of bias be investigated? The authorities may not want to bring up a report damaging to the referee, but the mere fact a team has written to complain about a referee will send a strong message. Football is now a commercial business, such controversial decisions are costing teams millions and millions of dollars.
If it goes to appeal, and the club must take this option now the PGMOL have doubled down to protect a cheat and a coward, and they stick to this ridiculous shite the PGMOL are talking about tackles above the ankle being violent conduct and red card offences, I hope the club show them any number of unpunished tackles on Saka well above the ankle, and at speed , as proof that the PGMOL do not enforce this law/ fantasy/ get out clause on any other club . The appeal committee won’t be made up of just PGMOL.
The PGMOL have seriously fucked up here and have shown the world their bias/ incompetence, they will be back tracking, the club should embarrass them to the max, bit have Arsenals legal dept ready to take on the inevitable repercussions.
It would galvanize PL fandom-- without the requirement of backing by 14-of-20 PL clubs-- to institute changes. As it sits, there will always be some cabal of clubs who are happy enough with the status quo to keep change from occurring policy-wise within the league.
While this type of suit doesn't guarantee change in and of itself-- it will focus an intense light and heat on PGMOL (and the PL), to a degree that can't be swept under a small rug-- as happens almost every week of the season.
The PL, nor PGMOL, will make referees accountable, and the systems equitqable on the merits.
I almost wish we weren't desperate for points and we ended up losing yesterday's game just so the outrage would be multiplied by 100x.
Now that we won, you'll always hear "well yeah but he still showed a red card to a Wolves player and you lot won the game in the end so no harm done". Sure buddy, say that to the other 5+ times we lost points because of refs this season alone.
I wish it was a one time error of judgement. It really isn't.
“18 - Aged 18 years and 121 days, Myles Lewis-Skelly is the third-youngest player to receive a red card in the Premier League, older only than Wayne Rooney v Birmingham in 2002 (17y 63d) and Michael Owen v Man Utd in 1998 (18y 117d).”
Yep the media are now reporting Oliver as the victim. Its all about the ‘ supposed’ abuse him & his family are getting. They ( PGMOL) have NO intention of backing down on this clearly.Their aim is to stick the knife in regardless.
The ball is going to be in the FA / Prem court in this,if Arsenal push it.
If I were Arsenal I’d push for the Court of Arbitration for sport if this can be done.It would put the cat in amongst the pidgeons that’s for sure.
How true.Conspiracy,unlikely.But an ‘ agenda’ most definitely I & many others would say.Of course there will always be those will defend the indefensible despite the growing catalogue of evidence.Indeed the club( Arsenal) are reputed to have a file if believed.
Let’s get it out in the open.once & for all & put an end to it.
Let’s hear from the PGMOL their explanations to these once in a lifetime set of rules foe Arsenal we appear to have.
Predictably our appeal on behalf of MLS is going to be compromised by PGMOL doubling down on that ludicrous decision and crying "Oliver is the victim" of online abuse. Their determination to ensure his and England's decision and the red card stand will almost certainly include back channel pressure on the FA panel to uphold the red card and the three match ban.
Your post is superb and your recommendations for reform are excellent. However the only thing that will stimulate change will be a perception by the PL that their income is beginning to be threatened because their reputation for hosting a fair play competition has been trashed by such decisions having more impact on the outcomes of matches and the league table positions than the efforts of the players and managers.
100%. I would only add that if you want the UEFA coefficient to mean something, you have to have the best teams in your league getting through. Refereeing shouldn't even be an input. And I also wouldn't mind a VAR check of yellows- which seems to be the workaround for them to give reds sometimes.
Don’t want to speak too soon, but how come Fulham seem at least to be much better at keeping ESR match fit than we were? Coincidence? Just luck or something else or have I got that wrong? Long May it continue BTW , always a player I had a lot of time for
I loved him as a player. But seeing him tonight, we did the right thing selling him when we did. He drifts in and out of games. And we need better than that. Fulham fans are impatient with him at the moment, some of them calling a flop already.
Without getting into tinfoil hat territory. It’s very interesting to see PGMOL launch a narrative of poor Michael must be protected and that Police are investigating. The reality is nutters will say they are going to kill you etc. You then turn it over to the Police and some form of investigation takes place . If the people making threats are UK based they are thick as shit.
It’s a classic case of trying to change the narrative to cover the total inept blunder
I guess investigation into Havertz family harassment was also just a distraction from his perceived goal drought.
Both seem pretty straightforward reactions by authorities to crank behavior by lunatic fringe.
What’s next?
Lambasting Trumps America for invading Greenland for its $trillions in untapped minerals, when it’s obviously, just like Russia’s invasion of Ukraine , a national security matter.
Anyone threatening Oliver should be dealt with by the law, but he still has a case to answer when it comes to reffing Arsenal.
Know the PGMOL have tried to stop things in their tracks with their ridiculous statement quoting some law that they never referee to , but hope the club appeal, and make em squirm. If Arsenal do and are successful, watch them blame Darren England rather than their star boy Oliver

Never mind asking “have we signed anyone yet?”
I’m wondering “why haven’t we put in an appeal against MLS red card yet?!?!”
What are we waiting for?
I like this Oliver talk a lot.

@Pedro, how can we ensure that everyone agrees on unwritten rules? Why not formalise them?
We’re already 23 points ahead of spurs. St totteringhams day will arrive by the start of March at this rate…
WILD
why wild they suck this season
if you have to ask, no point in explaining

A class action lawsuit, by fans, against PGMOL.

Only PL fans can make this happen.
Pedro, that's a well thought out and brave post. I fear it will be lost to forces not wanting to rock the boat.
I almost wish we weren't desperate for points and we ended up losing yesterday's game just so the outrage would be multiplied by 100x.

He’s in good company
PGMOL shifting the conversation is so cynical

Internet abuse makes victims out of villains
When you chat shit about conspiracies, crazies get activated.
