That’s never a red. Except when it’s Arsenal and you need a good, long proper look at it to make sure. Can anyone else from Arsenal be sent off? Let’s take a look around!
Palace fans are raving about Nketiah in a game he didn't even score. Who would have thought...
"Nketiah you didn’t score today but you’ve changed my life young man"
"Nketiah is unreal, we need to pick up more deadwood from top 6 clubs"
"Nketiah i apologise, i was not familiar with your game."
"Nketiah looks a level above when it comes to off the ball runs. Some excellent movement that we have to learn how to find more often"
"Watched a lot of the woke foreign striker signings from this summer and Nketiah is better than all of them."
That's coming after that 32 yo CF West Ham's idiot director bought for £27m couldn't get a start when healthy and is currently out injured.
And after the £40m £85k pw Bournemouth splashed for Evanilson missed a penalty and cost his team the win. Fella is 25 yo that scored 11 non penalty goals in Liga Portugal and 4 goals in the CL versus Royal Antwerp - 3 in one game (1 penalty goal ofc), 1 in the other.
All of that when a CF ready to kick it off right from the get go was available. A nearly complete CF about to shine in an environment where he's made feel valued, respected and loved.
They made the wrong choice. Why? Cause that's what happens when you bring people that don't know how things work in the PL.
I thought the dimwits would have learned their lesson with Haller (£45m sold in a year for £18m) and Scamacca (£35m sold in a year for £25m).
They've been trying to upgrade on Antonio for what feels like a bloody decade. And now their choice was a 32 yo for almost £30m to lead their line with 0 PL minutes to his name? Put him on £96k pw? Absolutely unbelievable. Their German director obviously pulling the strings there but dearie me the answer to their troubles was just 6 miles west and they missed it.
A lot of clubs slept on the Eddie deal. They would have completely stopped thinking about the CF position for the next 5-6 years. It would have been settled. Arsenal sold below market value cause the clubs just decided to shop from abroad. A big mistake on their part.
Glasner wanted him the whole summer. He didn't show his interest early on not to show his cards yet. Because Arsenal wanted at least £35m, he let other teams bid first, waited it out, saw Arsenal agreed the offer from Forest. Boom. Matched the fee and got the player. Beautifully done. But just because the competition was Forest. If it was West Ham, Fulham, Brentford, we would have gotten a bidding war.
Glasner started Eddie in the first possible game. Obviously.
Good comment, problem I believe is that fans generally only watch their teams play and have very limited knowledge on other players. I said before that Eddie was a starter in 6 or 7 premier league teams yet he was called dross. I know he's only played one game for them but even to me he looked the part mainly coming from the right side forward to accommodate Mateta. Once he's moved centrally he will be very dangerous. Palace have a forward
Good comment as well but the part where fans generally watch their teams play. While agreed on that as well, a lot of fans don't even watch the team they support play, and those who do, don't analyze other than - he stopped a goal (Saliba), he scored a goal (Saka), he's got a big heart (Ramsdale), he does the fancy moves (Jesus), he stopped scoring (Martinelli), he's so slick and smart (Odegaard).
It doesn't explain why Chavs fans were so happy to sell us Havertz, who's now a top 5 CF in the world, while they're balling it out with Nico Jackson. Havertz could have been a contender for the best CF in the world if he had better finishing but it is what it is and I'm more than happy to have a top 5 CF here. Young, hungry to succeed, with a point to prove and on a fantastic deal.
It doesn't explain why Arsenal fans were furious at our directors when they declined the laughable Marseille offer for Eddie.
Or how Sancho is called a flop when Ten Hag had absolutely no clue how to use him - aka possession type of football, well structured.
Arteta and Edu have been shopping mostly from Premier League clubs or players that have been in the PL before.
- it started with Willian and then White, Ramsdale, Jesus, Zinchenko, Trossard, Jorginho, Rice, Havertz, Raya, Sterling... even Odegaard was on loan first and Merino has played for Newcastle.
You don't need to look further than the better players of a mid table club or the cast offs of a top team to get quality players for reasonable money. You know what you're getting way better than shopping from abroad and if you want stability, it's the best strategy.
Now, if you can allow yourself a bit of freedom, a bit of a wild card transfer that you don't necessarily depend on, buying from the continent is perfectly fine - Tavares, Lokonga, Tomiyasu, Vieira, Marquinhos, Kiwior, Timber, Calafiori... It doesn't have to mean cheap, it means the squad is fine even if said player doesn't light up the pitch cause we've got other options in their positions. It's a calculated risk. The idea is to get the next Martinelli or Magalhaes.
Jhon Duran's goal was a ridiculous screamer. He has impressed me with his abilities to score goals out of nothing everytime I have watched him. One to keep an eye on as we try to solve our CF position permanently.
Why wasn’t he on Bayerns radar? Liverpools radar? Man City’s radar? PSGs radar? Leverkusens radar? Barcelonas radar? Inters radar? Etc etc etc etc. Because those questions don’t fit your agenda. Full stop.
Tides of fortune ever changing. DCL..terrible miss 1 v1 with Keeper nearly a minute to shoot. . then Watkins scores his 2nd just minutes later. Then he scuffs a near sitter.
Love these kind of matches though for tv viewing pleasure, styles make the fight as they say. Wow nice shot... by Duran.
I thought I had signed up to le grove and gave my card details. How exactly do you sign up.
Do you need to create an account on patreon first?
What a fucking performance!

As a follow up.

Reading this on the toilet
We're going to beat the shites down the road, Cyril.
And we'll do it The Arsenal way.
Victoria Concordia Crescit.
The Arsenal... we love you!
Pub Quiz Question.
With Sterling about to debut for Arsenal tomorrow, name the one other player to turn out for Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool and our mighty selves.
Yep, it's him.
People often forget he was at liverpool, but yeah, he played for everyone it seemed
Oh ya.. Anelka of course .. he played for just about everyone at some point or another.
It has to be Anelka isn't it?
I was gonna guess Yossi Benayoun but don't think he played for City ever.
Jhon Duran's goal was a ridiculous screamer. He has impressed me with his abilities to score goals out of nothing everytime I have watched him. One to keep an eye on as we try to solve our CF position permanently.

This is quite obvious isn't it. We go for proven players more times than not. Villa can take those risks because they aren't at our level.
Or Villa can take those risks because they have competent manager who has ability to make his squads punch above their weight.
Emery is where he is supposed to be.
Above Arsenal? 🥶
What a bunch of horseshit. Odegaard, Saliba, Martinelli, Gabriel, all signed for under 30m.
The word you need is ‘chequebook’….not checkbook. Basic, simple English.
Betting on Mikel to adjust, attack, and prevail. The purpose of depth is to continue belief throughout the squad. Go gooners

I hope the NLD is a lot more boring then that.. to be honest. 1 or 2 nil to the Arsenal will do me.
Another miss by DCL off the bar.. unreal.
Will be a great day if Everton can hold on.
Who cares about Villa though.
Kai Havertz on if he has spoke to Timo Werner after his move to Tottenham:
“I don’t speak to Spurs players.”

"Nwaneri again wearing a lower number in training today, which could suggest official promotion but nothing confirmed."
Dyche Ball is putting the beatdown early on against the Emeryista's.
2-1 now, Good match.
Your way of eating humble pie. How admirable
What you talking about? Oh I forgot you love you some Emery.
Forest are very good this season. They were good offensively last season and have made improvement defensively this season.
