Absolutely loving the continued United meltdown.

It warms my soul.

Shame we lost to them in the cup, big shame

Bournemouth in 5th are only 1 point behind city but their next 3 games are wolves Brighton and spurs

Hard to say but if they did manage to take 9 points from those 3, they’ll quite possibly be in 4th.

I find it very unlikely but imagine if in the CL next season we have forest and Bournemouth… unreal upset

Depending on final performance of all English clubs remaining in the 3 European competitions (coefficient), as it is, PL likely gets another CL slot ie 5th could get into CL

Bournemouth will be battling relegation next season, if the make it to the champions league

The demands of playing high quality midweek games [that they can’t rest players for] will decimate their players.

I hope Bournemouth fans are enjoying every moment because it’s unlikely Iraola is still there in 12-18 months.

Fine with me. That would make it quite amusing having a small club battling relegation whilst hosting Barcelona on Tuesday nights

I know it's only half way and on match day but surely Gabriel or Raya will be winning player of the season for us right? Personally I want Raya to win it because it may well be the first time a GK wins player of the season but gabby has been immense both at the back and in the front. Does he deserve it more?

Pedro said very well, but I would differ with on a couple of things. For me it's still very difficult to think that Arsenal can win the league. The title, to me, slipped away from Arsenal long ago. Yes, Liverpool are looking jaded and they're going to drop more points for sure. However, truth is that Arsenal are strikerless and injury stricken they will drop more points as well. Liverpool will feel some pressure, but Arsenal aren't in the kind of form they can mount sufficient pressure on Liverpool to the extent the Reds collapse.

For Manchester City, I don't think they spent big on players in January primarily because of this season. Delay can be dangerous! City are planning ahead and that's what Arsenal have failed to do. In a couple of seasons people will understand why City would spend big in January.

Not a bad take. But I feel you misunderstand City's January strategy.

City aren't loading up with players to become resurgent in the PL.

City are acquiring players on high wages--who will stick with them-- once they are relegated to the Championship Division.

(Short-range forecast: Next month-- Arsenal might become back-to-back PL champions.)

I like that ...hahahaha...

Pressure can cause some interesting things to occur. Despite Pool having the best forward in the Prem. None of that team have really done the business over the years against City. Apart from the year of course when they walked it in Covid lockdown.

Liverpool have buckled before so it’s not impossible that it happens again.

For us of course there is zero wriggle room. But if we do go and take 9 points of the next 3 games. Players will start coming back.

Our very presence will be causing Liverpool headaches.

Quite true. But I just can't think enough that could happen...

It would be unacceptable if Emery goes further than Transactional in the CL.

why do you feel the need to insult our manager in every post? Really tiring

If Liverpool can beat Madrid so can we.

Let’s focus on west ham first please. Much bigger fish to fry at the moment.

Not sure about the ‘ high’ likelihood , Diss, but Leverkusen are undefeated vs Bayern last six meetings , and Atleti hold an edge over Real with 2W’s and 3D’s in the last six between them.

Pool got the in form PSG who can rest everyone in their league games since it’s as good as won already, or what raps and Pedro call Slot’s generational luck train rolling on.

Anything less than a win is unacceptable

Such an incel view point

Incel? That's high compliment Don.

This one? Is some type of under-the-bridge gremlin-- dispensing obvioties!

Or even some plaster-cast f*cking garden gnome come-to-life.

You know it though Un…Sidney is an incel.

Thanks Sid. I was struggling with what might be acceptable this weekend.

Figure you’d be happy with the journey.

Expand full comment

It’s not a ‘journey’. It’s just life. Using ‘journey’ to describe everyday happenings is searching to say the least. Grow a pair you oik.

Enjoying the journey is akin to saying “top 4 is a trophy” or “ id take 2nd place for the next 20 years”.

I understand that- I’ve been patronised by far more intelligent people than you.

I don’t use journey. It’s the one using “enjoy the journey “ to excuse what’s happened the last couple of seasons.

There's high likelihood that Atletico will beat Real and Leverkusen will beat Bayern, over two legs. neither of those result would be a shocker.

If those two domestic rival ties go that way then the CL will be wide open this season.

Who knows, a magical run can get us to the final and break that glass ceiling for us.

PSG been scoring for fun recently too . Gonna be fun

Pool with another easy draw getting PSG, when does it ever stop.

It's a shame we don't have the squad we deserve cause I'd like to see us give a team like Real a proper go and not have to field half injured or half inept forwards against them over 180 minutes.

If we go past the QF's (don't think we will), we would be one of the favorites to get it done though.

Don't fear any of them at all past that.

Would be typical to do just that & meet The scousers or villains in the semi.
