Very happy with that line up. I am glad Gabriel is back. Although Kiwior is good at passing at times, he doesn't bully attackers.

I am very happy to see MLS too. The balance will be much better in those fullback areas with him at LB and Timber back on the right. Watch out for that left channel pass from him. He got us the first goal in the UCL game. He also did the same for Nwaneri's first Carabao goal by assisting sterling.

I am also happy we have rested Partey. We are tempting fate by playing him the amount of minutes he is playing right now. He is also our only alternative for Timber at the moment. So I am glad he has been rotated after two 90 minutes back to back.

I am intrigued to see how midfield we have started works. Rice is going to help us squeeze Everton up the pitch.

Really nice to see that MLS got rewarded with another start!!

And I agree that this looks like a really strong line-up.

Figured MLS would get the call today-- after an impressive appearance mid-week, and coming off at 60'.

Love the look of that team. We'll crush them today.

Big Gab seen on Arsenal bus but who knows if he will play today. Kiwior has done good job replacing him so why not give the Brazilian a few more days of rest because we should easily beat the toffees today with or without Gab.

Can see argument either way. Always happy to see him play but get your point.

I find it incredible that Gabriel, or any other player, didn't train yesterday but is passed fit today, how healthy can he be?

Enjoy the match, we going to tune in early to hopefully see Campbell ceremony.

Gather he did train yesterday after previously doing individual strength training in the week.

Arteta has spent 200m (not including wages) on full backs (White, Timber, Calafiori, Zinchencko, Tomiyasu, Taveres), but we are rolling out MLS before Christmas. You can't make it up.

*KSE has spent 200m...

Sorry. It's much less the hot-take than yours, but-- somewhat more accurate.

So you don't think MLS is a fantastic prospect. I am extremely happy to see him start, he's on a level with Nwaneri. Sometimes circumstances allow for the emergence of young talent, it happened with both Saka and ESR.

Don't be so miserable, even if you have a point, why focus on the negative?

Sunny for the first time in ages which will add to the atmosphere at the start of today’s match, at the very least!

If we didn't have the CC match on Wednesday I'd definitely start MLS again. As it is I'd be surprised if wasn't earmarked for a start then.

I hope we are in a position to take off some key players around the hour mark but again the match on Wednesday will no doubt be considered when deciding who needs a rest. For example, Nwaneri ought to start on Wednesday so there is less of a need to take Odegaard off today.

The FB positions appear the most difficult to juggle but I guess Timber and Partey share the right and MLS/Kiwior/Zinchenko/KT? share the left.

Gabriel with a 60/70 min run out today seems reasonable, Saka the same.

LW- take your pick.....

Reading Arteta's comments re injuries, it does sound like Gabriel will be back today.

We do miss him and his headers!!

For me Timber should be playing RB once Calafiori is back from injury.

I really feel that Partey gets completely wasted at RB despite doing an OK job so far. The only issue with Partey at RB is that he is providing zero assistance to Saka. But with so many LB injured this was the only solution for now.

It will be interesting to see whether Arteta would trust to have MLS at LB so that we can have Timber at RB and allow Partey to go back to where he plays best: in midfield.

I really think that this is worth trying vs Everton today.

But once Benny is back, Timber should be then moved to LB as I think that this will make for our strongest back four line-up.

We should not be wasting scarce resources (money and time) on another LB, whether we shift Tierney or not this Jan (he was not trusted the other night and a 17 year old preferred in his place so we

can assume he is not really a squad member now anyway)

All resources must now focus on a CF and / or a LW. Whichever one we don’t get must be our Summer priority. These 2 needed signings will be first choice places. I hope we get Williams for the 11 role.
