New to this site having been on Teamtalk since 2005, but that's a joke now with one regular poster who cannot stomach any dissent and two or three other irregulars. My take on last night. Good win in the end although in the first half, I thought we were far too open and a better side would have punished us, for example Jackson chossing to protect his face instead of heading the chance in. I think City will win all their games now and the Villa debacle might haunt us. Would like to differ with whoever said Raya is a great addition. No, he isn't and is not an upgrade on Ramsdale which presumably is why the latter was jetissoned. He is unreliable in so many games, especially high profile ones. He has been responsible for goals against Spurs, Chelsea, Lens, Luton ( 2), Porto and his stupid dash from goal against Bayern cost us when we were in the ascendancy. His supposed great distribution has also gone amiss. No, the two keepers are on an equal footing, whatever Inaki Cana might think and whisper to Arteta. ( Remember he was the guy who recommended Runarsson to us!)
Raya has added a calming influence to the entire team, especially in defence. Ramsdale was too excitable, immature maybe, and that nervous energy spread through the team. Hopefully he will learn from the influence Raya has. Raya is always available and prepared to play higher to support an option when we play out, which he is asked to do. Risk reward. He helps us overload against the press & is always an option when we are under pressure. I don't think enough people realise what an influence he has had on the structure of our team. We have 9 clean sheets in our last 14 PL games, have scored 45 goals so I'm not sure why your first comments after the 5-0 win is to moan about Raya. Unless you self-identify as Ramsdales Dad?
Well said, San Sebastian. One cannot overemphasize the implications of that "calming effect". Everyone can play their game to the max without nervously looking over their shoulders when the ball hurtles towards our end. So glad Raya has won the Golden Glove.
Apologies didn’t know that you set the rules for what to post or not. What a stupid comment- Ramddale’s Dad!! I said Raya was no better than Ramsdale. No comment I see about the goals he’s let ion which he should have saved . But he’s “ a calming influence!” Great.!

Ever considered the problem might be you? I was very polite but as a Chelsea fan I can see why you are all wound up today.
Is this Le Grove or not? You are in my email box and I don’t want that. If you are a Chelsea fan what do you know about Raya?
You're the Chelsea fan, clearly. I'm a proud Gooner with a team that is starting to frighten the life out of rival fans.
