Arsenal's transfer business is worrying.

We offload unwanted players such as Lokonga and Tavares on loans to Spanish and Italian Clubs

who plead poverty. Yet when it comes to buying players on the Continent we are required to pay

top dollar for players of similar ability/potential.

However, the major concern for me is how we handle players in the U21s. Last summer we lost

Omari Hutchinson because his contract was allowed to expire. He has just left Chelsea one

year later for a massive profit albeit that we receive a small payment.

This summer we have lost Walters and Cozier-Barry in similar fashion. Okay we will receive a

small compensation package, but when I see that Aston Villa have sold an U21 player to Chelsea

for over £20 million you have to ask serious questions about how contracts in our Academy are

being managed.

We are yet to learn what is happening with negotiations with Obi-Martin who is in similar situation.

Also I have to ask serious questions about how Nanweri is being handled. As a 15/16 year old he

was rated one of the best talents in Europe. Some were taking about him in similar fashion to Yamal

in Spain.

Yet Yamal is now playing regularly for Barcelona first team and he was also in Spanish National team.

Nanweri can play in a wide range of attacking positions and is a regular goalscorer and provider of

assists. Yet Arteta and coaches seem reluctant to include him in first team squad.

Arsenal need to build a pathway between Academy and first team so that young players are

being provided with opportunities to play in first team. That has not been the case in last 3 years.

Saka and Rice fuck off to some beach resort now please and get your well deserved rest.

At least this one didn’t go extra time to do more damage to Arsenal’s season coming up.
