The problem when facing Manure has always been that when playing us they ALWAYS raise their game.Tend to treat it as a cup final of sorts. They & their fans hate us.Unless we adopt the same attitude we won’t match them. And too often in the past even when facing a weakened manure side we’ve not matched the effort.

We need to go for the jugular & not let go & do some srerious psychological damage tonight, that will set them back years.

About Saka and how well he doing -

"He needs three more goals or assists in the Premier League to hit the 100 mark.

Saka will surely achieve that by April and in doing so he would become the fourth youngest player in Premier League history to reach 100 goal involvements.

Only Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney and Robbie Fowler will have done it quicker - but Saka will be ahead of both Cesc Fabregas and Ronaldo.

In a dream world, Saka could reach the 100 landmark tonight on is what the 500th competitive men’s fixture at Emirates Stadium."

Game is too late for me and I’m kinda glad. Feeling a little nervous about this one and not fancying it

Usually my gut feeling is wrong so go bet big on a great Arsenal win, because my head says good win but my gut says very disappointing defeat tonight. Kinda glad that it’s too late so I don’t face the initial disappointment if I’m right

Meanwhile there’s a good article on sky sports about city’s decline being tied to their poor recruitment, not only rodri’s injury.

I agree with this. I don’t think they’ve been good at replacing attacking players for the most part. Yes Haaland has been a big success, but Sterling, mahrez and Sane is now Doku, Grealish and Savinho. Savinho might come good but none of these 3 have any end product so far unlike the former 3. They have combined something like 3 league goals this season. Martinelli alone probably has that many and we have all been very disappointed with him this season…

Meanwhile I said in the summer (to much derision) that resigning Gundogan was a desperate move and doesn’t move the needle for them. People imagined the player of 2 years ago driving them to the title, ignoring that he was older and coming off the back of an underwhelming year at Barca. He’s looked a different player

That’s not to say city won’t probably recover and challenge for the title. Would be dangerous to bet against it. But I do think their era of total dominance is over because this simply isn’t a team of the same quality that they used to be and their recruitment leaves a bit to be desired so no direct indication that they’re about to get back to a 100 point season in the short term

Mancheaty can't money launder any more, Pep has bought some players that are questionable the past few seasons, and now he has to rely on his coaching ability to win matches which he has never had to do before.

Kovacic was another meh player at Chelsea. Not even sure why city wanted him

We've blasted teams in the first half of the last three games. Hope to see the same tonight.

Will be reassured to see Gabriel starting. I thought Trossard was much better on Saturday but would go for Martinelli, with his greater pace and defensive recovery runs.

The Man Utd always have it in their locker to cause us troubles. We should be strong enough to win against them at home, but the most important thing to not left shaky scoreline for the last 15 minutes. 2 goal lead and we can see out the game.

Very much for Gabriel's availability. He gets really riled up in the big games and sparks up everyone around him. This attitude is something we really need today.

Rashford scores against the mighty Ipswich and Everton so now he is reborn?

We can see what you are up to.

Anything less than a win vs Man u is unacceptable.

I truly enjoy the FA Cup regardless of how the FA has diminished it's status!

My hottest of takes is; I say throw it this year.

Mikel needs to figure out what he wants, and go from there.

On earth, 4 competitions is an amateur take. Not even $h*tY with all their billions won 4 trophies in a single year.

And in my universe, it would be a pushing the boundaries of reality to win 2 trophies this year.

Rest our best players when we can, that means Saliba, Partey, Saka and a few others, here and there, and even just not play them in a game that won't push them into the land of the lost for the year and the season is kaput.

That means leads of 2-0 with 10 to go against teams we should shut down, and total blow outs.

The manure game, means score a goal and shut them out with the possession squeeze.

Would appreciate a 1-0 to the Arsenal if it means we get our defense to being close to the best in the league.

Side note, slot talking stuff about $h*Ty, even in jest he is playing with fire, and enZo saying chavs can dominate the league for years, priceless false bravado.

Anyway, AFC, let's stuff those guys.

Pedro, when are you guys coming out to the Best Coast, I mean West Coast, to do a podcast live in futbol crazy CA??

If we get into the Carabao final, we can play only reserve in FA cup. For sure we won't manage to have a serious run at three competitions in spring.

"Mikel Arteta inherited a worse team than the one Amorim has at United"

You mean the same team that won Arteta his only career trophy?

You mean the same team YOU said should be aiming for 3rd in Emery's second season?

You literally said something along the line of "this squad is good enough for top 4, Emery has no excuses" 2 months before Arteta got the job.

But after Arteta finished 8th twice with the squad, you suddenly changed the goalpost and said the squad was shit.

Olumide, I mean... Amorin inherited a better team than Arteta did.

Simple as that. No need for your drama today.

"Sky Sports put up an outrageous stat yesterday, trying to push us towards the very boring idea that Liverpool cannot be caught"

It's not boring if it's never happened.

It will be a great achievement of Arsenal wins it.

It is a bit of a silly stat tho

You can’t compare with previous years because said points gap this large between first and second place would’ve been between two different teams and a different stage of the season

Also piles the pressure on Liverpool instead of the media tying themselves in knots to pre-label Arsenal as bottlers.

This is actually a good thing, right?

Pedro — we have to laugh at our continued bad run of fixtures luck. Drawing MUFC in the 3rd round while LFC draw Arrington Stanley — (surely that is a pub team). Sum consolation that our FA Cup game is at home. When we win silver this season we will have done the hard yards to earn it.

The bookmakers seem to be setting Arsenal up to fail.

I'm sceptical about the high odds of Manchester United winning. Seems like of of those odd games.
