I think a win is getting closer... as multiple players have returned from injury, not yet 100%, Partey can play in midfield again, the back 4 can stabilise (I saw a stat that said the back 4 has changed like 10 times already) and with the captain coming back.... happy days.

The guy incharge of fitness at Arsenal must be going through the same things as Edu.

"Three victories and an away draw with Sporting sounds very realistic. Girona have lost at home to Feyenoord and got thumped 4-0 by PSV"

The 6 points against Girona and Zagreb are believable, but getting results from 2nd and 3rd in the table plus being undefeated, is a stretch. We have an attack that produced the grand total of 2 goals in the one game against PSG. What makes you think we score goals against Sporting and AS Monaco? Two 0:0 draws are the best we can hope for, that gives us 15. Therefore be prepared to play 2 additional games and hope for progression and no injuries. A tall order indeed considering our manager in training.

I think Monaco points should be considered in the context of their opponents: Bologna, Dinamo Zagreb, Craven Zvezda and win against Barcelona, who played with 10 men for 80 minutes. For a home game I believe we have enough firepower and drive to secure the win.

Sporting is a tougher case, I agree. But:

a) they will lose their head coach by the time we play

b) they would be happy to split points given their current points and upcoming calendar.

Your points are well and good, however at the moment we play so as to prevent the opposition from scoring, NOT to score and beat the opposition. Our attack is in total disarray because of under performing players, or in positions that they are not comfortable with plus teams sussed out how our wingers play the same way over and over again, thus have adapted much better in rendering Saka and Martinelli ineffective.

Again I ask, where are the goals coming from?

Here is me hoping it will come soon! Performances go in cycles, they go down but can also go up.

No doubt that we have missed Odegaard. Top class players can usually be covered for four or five games but the grind after that means that team performance inevitably drops which is what has happened. Apart from his excellence on the ball, he is our "press leader" and is important to enabling the team to get on the front foot more. than they have been doing.
