Anybody fancy a bit of Bruno penandes ? No way he’d be anywhere near the captains armband so no need to worry about that. However he’s an incredible chance machine and could likely be whipped into shape and stop whinging when he’s not having to deal with dross.
Nice to see some of the Le Grovers on this thread hope s lot more of the lads switch over. As for the new contributors on here I can assure you I am not one of the nut job fans.😜
The left side of the field has Martinelli and Jesus. Nothing to fix there, in my opinion. Trossard can and does a job there in a pinch, like Sunday. Once the left back situation is sorted out hopefully by preseason's end, normal service can resume there.
For so long we have been these wimpy little nice guys (Wenger signings post dean) and now we have some proper dirty fuckers and are partaking in some dark arts. I love it.
Great move to SubStack LeGrove. Much cleaner interface.
What are we going to do next season for striker?! According to Amy Lawrence, Havertz (7 goals and 4 assists in his last 10 games) has Mikel and Edu reconsidering what to do with the striker singing in the summer. I'm kind of with them in that regard. Do we go for a fox in the box (penalty box merchant) type to play up front with Havertz (as a No10)? Do we just play Kai up front (as the 9) and put all the money into a big signing next to Rice and Odegaard?
Havertz has made himself undroppable. I suspect that any striker bought will merely be a Nketiah replacement, and therefore a co-challenger [with Trossard and Jesus], not a first-team colleague. Not up to me, but I feel the priorities should be a speedy right/central forward, as well as a defensive midfielder. Jesus at this point is best as challenging [to Martinelli] left winger and [to Havertz] striker.
I wrote last week that we needed to start fast, score early and keep after them for the entire game. It was entirely possible that Trossard could have been called for a penalty on Kulusevki and it would have let them back in the game. Raya's error only encouraged them to come at us hard and then, after the unfortunate penalty from Rice, they came even harder. Putting on Richarlison who seems to be always spoiling for a fight with someone didn't help us. I want this team to show composure, not get rattled and power through these games without gifting chances to the other team. We are a superior team, we need to get ahead in games and strangle the opposition as they try to come back into it. We need to win all the remaining games for us to have a chance. You don't do things right every once in a while, you do them right all the time. Vamos Vamos Baby!
Hello I managed to migrate over here. Guess I need to get used to it. I though yesterday's tactics were not so good to be honest.. but it worked. We employed a midblock pressure to try and limit them progressing thru the midfield. Rather than the usual high intensity/ high press and dominate possession we usually employ. I get why we would do that .. to save legs and because Spurs were coming in fresh legged. But giving them so much possession almost backfired. In the end though our set piece domination was awe inspiring.. our corners were all darts that looked dangerous every time and Ben White was amazing in his Keeper blockading abilities. So just keep winning and hope for a City slipup for 3 more games. We can do this!
End of an era rip legrove. Although I totally understand Pedro's need to make this not a drain on his finances, I have the feeling it won't be the same on here, especially when it all goes behind a pay wall.

Wow this all looks Greek to me
There's a conundrum with the attacker that we need.
Saka desperately needs a back-up but he's very hardy and holding his own so I suspect the club will take a risk and not spend money on the right side.
They may very well decide to use that money to fix the left side of the field.

It will be huge if eventually we win the league,a lot of disrespect out there on Arsenal
To shut them up for real

I hope Arsenal uses the same first half tactics against Manchester United.
Hello everyone. Great win yesterday. I hope Man City drops points soon.
What is a restack
