I don't give a monkeys about England. All our players need as much rest/ recuperation as they can as Arteta does not rotate his best players. This tournamentis a joke and I'd prefer they all have "sudden injuries" as Fergson's players used to get before internationals. COYG.
Not one single person likes the shitty ass international football breaks. But who cares right..
Surely it's not that hard to make the club football end a month earlier, then have the qualifiers played right before the big event - European/World Cup/whatever. It's not rocket science really.
Maybe it's a tougher job for say Africa to host AFCON in the summer months but we've seen it being done before.
It would even make international football watchable as the players and coaches would have an extended continuous time of working together. Not the start, stop, start, stop spread throughout the year.
But that's my two cents obviously. Surely the masterminds at FIFA know much better.
