The BIG Story: Ozil gaming revelations

by .

I’ve been called racist, a c*nt, and a ‘double melt on toast’… but look, when it comes to the big stories, I’m going to chase them down and ignore the shrieks of the Oziltoligists. Yesterday, a quite incredible theory about Ozil and his back spasms landed in the comments from BacaryIsGod.

Arsenal destroy Spurs in electric NLD

by .

Arsenal swatted Tottenham aside in one of the best North London derby days of the last 5 years. We didn’t have to bet on Spurs dropping their level. We didn’t win on luck. We outfought one of the best teams in the league and dished out a deserved destruction.

The game had everything you could have hoped for. The atmosphere in the ground was venomous, the players were hyper-charged, and some of the goals were sublime.

The most important test: North London Derby

by .

The big one is HERE. Arsenal take on Spurs in the battle for bragging rights in North London. Unbeaten in 18, this is a huge test for Emery. For Spurs, this match is really about whether they have the minerals to be championship fighters. They’ve started to perk up of late and they certainly put in a boss performance against Chelsea.

Much is riding on this from an optics perspective for Arsenal. Lose and the pattern of top 6 struggles will continue for Emery as it did for Wenger. Lose, and United will start to look a lot more difficult. Lose, and the klaxon of progress will start to sound a little meek.

Emery makes it 18 with the kids

by .

Come on, admit it, you bloody loved that. The kids are back, Arsenal reserves are finally an interesting group of players, and this feels very much like the youth sides of peak banter years.

Smith Rowe scored one and had a second disallowed. The goal that stood came after Nketiah chased down a lost cause, his strike against the keeper fell fortuitously for  SR who placed his shot past the last man on the line.

Ineptitude of the Wenger-era exposed

by .

What the bloody hell is cracking friends?

Arsenal’s game in Vorskla looking extremely precarious. The home team were at one point saying they might not be able to attend. It appears they relented in the end and accepted a kind of neutral venue. It’s going to be a lot better for the Arsenal players. A nicer hotel, a nicer pitch and less aggressive Ukrainians shouting at them. It’ll probably look a bit like a closed doors game. Emery had this to say.
