Arsenal 9 Slavia Prague 0

Yep that’s my prediction, we lost our record to a pedestrian Liverpool side last night, it has to be the shortest held record in Champions league football, our kids will want it back, where better to do it than in Prague.

Okay we need to get the team right first and this is the team we should go with.

Sagna Hoyte Gallas Traore (with Clichy and Gilberto as options)

Walcott Denilson Diarra Diaby (with Gilberto and Eboue as options)

Bendtner Eduardo (with Ade as an option)

I know I have Gilberto in two possible roles but that’s because I really, really don’t rate Song. Is it me? What do you people think?

I believe this team will get at them from the off, is young enough to go for it and good enough to get the 9 goals we need to have any chance of addressing the ‘great’ and ‘lucky’ balance once more.

When we got 7 everyone said ‘yeah but look at the team we played’ I haven’t read one article this morning that said that about Liverpool, I can’t call them the scousers any more as red nose said they weren’t.

We did Fergie yesterday and the simple way to sum up his criticism is he himself isn’t English, so cannot have an opinion. Wenger makes his stand on the matter very clear here.

Liverpool and Spurs planning new grounds irritates me a bit, as Liverpool will have the option of 74.000 seats, I hope we have that too as we could most certainly fill the ground, getting in and out though is another matter.

I think Wenger has a real problem with Rosicky as he always seems to be injured, maybe we should get a left winger in January as I’m not sure Rosicky will ever be a regular, shame as he’s so gifted, but we can’t play him, lose him for 2 then wait three more for him to be good, then he gets injured again.

I sincerely hope Wenger doesn’t get tempted to buy English as he feels under pressure, there really isn’t an English player I would want, save maybe Joe Cole, but then he’s like Rosicky and besides Chelsea would never sell him to us.

I hope we use our third kit tonight as I really don’t like the white kit, if it was red and white (pardon the pun) maybe, but I never liked the red current kit, when we had white shorts against Sheffield it grew on me a tad, but I prefer red or yellow.

If we can get through tonight without any injuries we should get 6 points from the next two and then be ready for the Chelsea game, and for the first time since Abramovich came I think we can do them.

Happy blogging Grovers.

So Fergie can’t keep his mouth shut, well there’s a surprise! Banging on about his English spine, well let’s take a deeper look at that shall we?

Out of his squad he has Scholes, Neville, Ferdinand, Rooney, Giggs, Brown, Fletcher, Carrick and Hargreaves that he would call home grown, forgive me if I missed one out.

From that lot Scholes is 34, Neville is 30 and Brown is shit. Giggs is Welsh, Fletcher is Scottish, Hargreaves is Canadian/German. The other three cost £30mil, £28mil and £17mil and if I’m not mistaken bought with foreign money, as they are in fact owned by foreigners.

So if you’re going to complain at foreigners ruining the English game you have to start with foreign owners, which in my book inflate the transfer market and take away all the good English players to the clubs that foreigners own, like ManU, Chelsea, Man City, Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Chelsea, which if I’m also not mistaken make up the whole English side, Mrs Robinson excluded.

Only Arsenal are fighting foreign ownership, Fergie on the other hand opened his anus wide for their big bag of silver dollars.

We are top of the league, have brought over kids for nothing and who everyone including the red nose drunk said last year were not good enough, and now he complains.

That’s the problem with drunks, they have no memory, and the memory they have doesn’t have brain cells attached.

Getting back to his and the Canadians comments about our goals being scrappy, I watched MOTD last night again and their first goal was a massive shove on Hleb by Brown, a foul whichever way you look at it, their second an error by our goalkeeper, if that’s not scrappy, I don’t know what is.

Our goal on the other hand started with Cesc in his own area where we turned over their throw in and ended with Cesc scoring, who incidentally had five ManU players in between him and any other Arsenal players, goal of the month for me.

The second may have looked calamitous but Gallas had scored before the melee went on, and their cheating goalie new it was a goal, but kept whinging long after the game had ended.

So carry on making an arse out of yourself Fergie, the world will hate you even more.

So in summary, you can’t complain about foreign players if you are owned by foreigners with foreign money buying your players, that what we call an oxymoron.

The players that ManU bought before they sold their arse to a yank was a PLC, which in turn got the likes of Rooney, Ferdinand and Veron and that put the club into £750 million’s worth of debt and priced good English players out of the market.

Finally you red nosed drunk, if you really want to set an example to anyone, try chewing your gum with your big mouth shut, you bad mannered pig.

Good blogging yesterday chaps, we are being read, we got the top story on and thanks to the bloggers still chatting until late last night.

Have a great day, tomorrow we talk football!

He’s not even English!

Hargreaves the plastic Englishman has the cheek to slag us off, the most boring midfielder to come across the pond with his Lederhosen still warm and have a pop at our beautiful fast, free flowing football, ok that’s the Canadian, German, boring, defensive, midfield player done with.

Ferguson the mad drunk has been charged by the FA, or so the rumour mill reckons, so justice is done there.

We emerged as the moral victors and remain unbeaten and let’s not forget they got beaten by the team that got stuffed 6-0 by the chavs, so they ought to stop gobbing off.

Cesc is saying we never give up, king Billy is banging his chest and leading by example and Gilberto is denying any rift and being the consummate professional, so well done men.

Although I really like Almunia and much prefer him to mad Jens, I think a top, top goalie is essential for us to win the Premier and Champions League, you may not all agree, but there’s still something of the rash nature inside our plucky Spanish stopper that makes me nervous in the big games.

I was heartened to hear the leader saying he got it wrong with the 4-5-1 system and will address that in the next game, which is Slavia on Wednesday, then a rest until Reading away on Monday evening, so we have time to get back on track.

It’s a shame that we drew Blackburn against the kids, as we know they are capable in the cups, and our kids can still be a bit fragile, but what the heck, we have to play all the big sides in this cup and at least we missed Liverpool and Chelsea, and all those teams will use their best players and that will help us in the league.

As I keep saying this team will get better as they get older and that bodes well for the games ahead, the other teams won’t improve as much as they have more of a finished article type team already.

I think it’s important to rotate players now as we have some hectic months coming up, I think we could have 9 games in December and most of them away, so we’ll see a lot more of the fringe players I feel.

I just hope he doesn’t start putting out reserves against the likes of Reading away as they are all capable of getting results against us, keep the core,

I was heartened that we had a good blogging day yesterday and thank you all for taking the time to chat.

Until tomorrow.
