There are rumours all over the internet that the BIG MAN Zinchenko ‘might’ be out again with a calf injury. The news has come from Ukraine national camp. Do NOT doubt Ukrainian intelligence, amirite?
This news could be one of THREE things:
- He’s injured
- He’s slightly injured and Arsenal are taking precautions
- Arsenal are going FULL on dark arts mode to protect an important player
I hope it’s the 3rd. We lost our season on friendlies, if we’re to be accurate and slightly dramatic about things… Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney didn’t come back the same after their international breaks last season. Our season went to shit.
Teams like Liverpool engineer rest, especially for players that have guaranteed squad places.
Zinchenko doesn’t need to be on friendly duty. There’s no World Cup. So Arsenal should do all they can to stop it.

Yeah, might be the case. It never felt like there any true excitement or conviction about him. Always came across as more of a business decision (“PL ready peak age midfielder for 20M”). I still think we shit the bed by not bringing in a midfielder but I’m not sad that we passed on Tielemans.
What a goal.. Conte teams are so well drilled in sitting back, so hard to get through. Frustrating, and horrible to watch. Leicester winning every duel in midfield. Bissouma can’t break into this team?
