NO DRAMA

by .

OK LET ME RUN THIS BY YOU REAL QUICK.

Last season, I said that things aren’t what they seem at Liverpool, and if the wheels come off, they’ll really come off.

I WAS WRONG. BADLY WRONG. LIKE, DELETE YOURSELF WRONG.

But, but, but… where are we now? At the point where I can remind people that I was wrong for a year, but in the end, I was right?

Maybe.

King Klopp is a God at Liverpool. He’s moved on Michael Edwards. The rebuild is in his vision. It could get messy.

  • Mo Salah looks like he’s drunk on that £400k a week deal.
  • Trent looks like he’s taking edibles before the game.
  • VVD looks old and pissed he’s not on £400k a week
  • Even the keeper looks a mess
  • Darwin Nunez not even starting games after a £100m move

Am I shooting my shot early here? Absolutely. But I will dine out on this failure until he wins the league, then I’ll delete this post.

Chelsea looks like they are about to make a GOOD decision in hiring Graham Potter on a 5 year deal. He’s a top coach, he’s worked in difficult environments before, and he absolutely deserves his shot at the big time.

But, as we saw with Arteta, if you want to succeed in a JdP world, you need very specific players, and you need the luxury of time to get things right.

Will he get that with an owner that thinks he’s a technical director? I’m not so sure. Potter ball doesn’t work when you throw Neymar and Cristiano into the squad.

Arsenal go away to Zurich tonight, they’ve taken a BIG squad out there, but hopefully, we don’t go crazy with reckless starting 11s.

The big mission is the beat Everton on Sunday. They aren’t that bad and they have a lot of powerful runners that could make tired legs and minds second guess themselves.

Ideally, we can limit who starts from the first team. Xhaka, Martinelli, and one of the first-team centre-backs will likely get the nod. Lokonga should be getting a runout. Then it can be a lot of the players gagging for a look-in.

Bob Holding, Cedric, Kieran Tierney could all make the defence. In midfield, it’d be great to see Fabio Vieira given a chance to posture as a #10. Eddie is certainly going to be upfront. Then maybe we see a Marquinhos in the mixer?

This game needs to be no drama. They are 2nd bottom of their league. We should be dominating them. Hopefully, the levels are really high and we put on a good show.

Short one today, we’re going to record our first AFTER THE WHISTLE/BEFORE THE WHISTLE SPECIAL for the Patreon mandem. Then we’ll be on for Sunday ON THE WHISTLE for the freeview.

Have a good one.

Get your point but I’m as pleased as punch they aren’t going. Last thing we need is important players getting crocked before the October games. Now we need Ghana to do the same, he shouldn’t go anyway even if he is fit.

Naija+soccer

Tite done caught the Arsenal fever. Helping them in their quest for champions league return and maybe secretly hoping they go for a whisper it, Title challenge.

again, naive, professional athletes gain that extra half yard through conditioning,
bulking up may not be the correct term, but whatever the fuck they call it when you sprint with a parachute attached to your back, plenty of other techiniques… definitely aiming to gain sprint speed… see NFL training … conditioning in portugal i imagine a bit different than in EPL

“Mykhaylo Mudryk on the left with fellow Ukranian Zinchenko feeding him passes. Very exciting.”

already hyping a player that none of have actually watched for more than 90 minutes to know if he is even better than Marquinhos. People here always see any player linked to Arsenal as better than who is already at the club, Imagine almost trying to even compare Mudryk with Martinelli.

izzo

Mudryk plays for Shaktar and he scored in the last round of CL games where they spanked everyones favorite Leipzig 4-1. Dude is a baller. Would be happy him coming in January with other signing in midfield.

izzo

Everyone talking about Viera bulking up and fail to back it up when they overlook the game he played against Liverpool where he bossed them. His tiny frame didn’t seem to stop him. You weirdos think every PL player should look like Adama Traore. Why don’t you go and add more muscle mass to your limp dicks. Lol…

A paracute on your back won’t help you ride and evade tackles, that is a skill and an ability that you are born with..

Nigel Tufnel

Pierre,

I see what you’re saying, but we are not the same team without Ødegaard. That’s what’s worrying. If he were not playing, we wouldn’t be dominating opponents all season as we have been….. Leading the press and creating.

Obviously Zurich shouldn’t have been a problem, but we didn’t create enough good chances despite having so much possession.

To be in denial about Ødegaards importance and to try and find tiny defensive faults seems petty and super biased to any normal fans watching the games.

zaco

I know he plays for Shaktar and i know he played in the last UCL match they won 4-1 that’s why i said none of us here have watched him for more than 90 minutes apart from Highlights.
Truth is if Tavares and Balogun weren’t already at Arsenal with their recent performance in France, most on here would rate them above ESR, Martinelly and Nketiah.

‘already hyping a player that none of have actually watched for more than 90 minutes to know if he is even better than Marquinhos’

That’s what we do here. We get excited about potential signings, particularly ones with talent that jump out at you. Try not to be so joyless. By the way, I’ve watched waaaaayyyyyy more than 90 minutes of him. There was the 95 minutes against RB Leipzig and another 20 minutes of highlights. I’m a damn expert on him at this stage.

Venga, Dani

Pedro have you also postponed blogging due to the queens passing? Where’s the new post mate? lol

Pierre

Saka has that extra pace that doesn’t stop him getting hacked endlessly by opponents. Grealish has calf muscles the size of many men’s thighs and he’s one of the most fouled players too.

The important thing is that now he’s with us, he should be given time to settle in and reach his full potential. Odegaard was written off too quickly also and they are similar players. Arteta is clearly excited about him and he’s closer to him than any of us (yes, I know Arteta was excited about Willian too…..)

Venga, Dani

Anyone chiming in here with their hot take on Viera should stfu frankly. No patience ffs

Nigel Tufnel

I can’t get the people getting too negative or too positive about Vieira after 1 game and 1 sub.

I made sure to point out that he was most responsible for our first goal.. a real highlight pass to Eddie from the game. Aside from that I didn’t see anything to complain about.

I’m actually surprised how much Arteta has been gushing about him recently.

It was completely different with Willian.. we all had seen him play in the league for years.

Topside Northbank

Vieira give him time before anyone judges. Seen Pires, Bergkamp, Henry all written off opening months of their Arsenal career’s Edu the technical director had over a year in the wilderness. You will always have a chance to suceed with great technique Santi, Cesc if he’s 80% of the player they were we qill have struck gold. Modric we were the 1st PL club lined with him and just it seems for once AW wasn’t sold he could mix it in the middle of the park, big mistake, technically sound on the ball a step ahead in the mind as… Read more »

That’s their problem, i could point to players like salah and Olise , players who glide past the full backs who are not hacked endlessly

I’m not knocking Vieira, far from it , people are talking about him bulking up , whereas i say we should wait until he is fully fit and he may gain that extra yard of pace.

Nigel Tufnel

Bacary.. . I’m getting the feeling that buying a player from a weak league and just praying we get lucky is more in the past for us. With Edu’s contacts in Brazil for 3 million is fine.. and Marquinhos wasn’t bought to make an impact on the squad this season. It’s why we went for Raphinha and Neto.. just didn’t have enough budget. They were meant to come in and play a lot to have quality depth, because ESR can’t be depended on. A guy like Mudryk didn’t seem the level we’re aiming for now A media link doesn’t mean… Read more »

To be clear if it wasn’t before, I think Vieira has amazing potential and I am very excited about him.

Just is concerning how slight he is at the moment. For those saying it’s a bad idea to add lean muscle mass, nonsense.

Look at the difference it has made to Nketiah.

Guns of SF

And Martinelli
He has bulked up, clearly in the upper body. Is able to take the heavy challenges better than before.
I dare say Saka has also put on some muscle too

Rich

Pierre cracks me up, one minute he’s talking about Vieira replacing Odegaard, because he’s got the killer ball. Even though I suspect he’d seen very little of Vieira. Now after 1 performance, which was his first competitive start for months, playing in a new team. He’s now concerned about his frame and ability to evade challenges…. Vieira is 22, hasn’t played a full season yet, he’s likely seen as the medium term heir to the left No8 position. I expect we’ll see more of him as the season develops, there’s no guarantee he’ll adapt to the intensity + aggression requirements… Read more »

Another slight of build is Neymar.
Dont need to say anything about that.
It about fight and grit, getting back up.
Neymar dont roll around so much now. He manning up

WengerEagle

Neymar is 5″9 and 68kg.

I don’t think people understand just how light 58kg is. That’s less than most British women weigh. He wouldn’t need to cut to make the UFC Flyweight division for context.

Nigel

You might be right but can’t help but feel there’s something a little special about Mudryk. Either way, if he’s really got the goods, you can be sure Zinchenko’s telling Arteta that we should be grabbing him in January provided our talent analysts are also sold on him.

Jonko

This postponement is unfair because teams that played at Home last weekend get to play their next match at home too. This can help them build momentum. Teams that played away, like Arsenal, will play away consecutively which is unfair as away matches are always tougher. At this point in the season momentum is everything. Really stupid decision.

Guns of SF

Speaking of UFC WE

I think Diaz shocks and beats Khamzat!!!

Guns of SF

I hope Stockton homeboy puts a beating on this fella. Talking shit so much

Mysticleaves

When I was making a case for Torr to stay with us here people like Nigel were too quick to talk about his slight frame as not suitable. Now people like Nigel are making a case for Fabio. Guess what, Torr is at least 2kg bigger lol.

Ride and die with Artz lol

Mr Serge

Guns as much as I wish you were right Diaz is not beating chimaev the guy it’s gonna take him down and finish him

Mr Serge

We is correct it’s like 9 stone well small

Mr Serge

New post

Zacharse
