Arsenal transfer news is light on juice.
There’s a great big monstrous elephant in the room that we can’t talk about, but at a base level, what you can say is our best player, for whatever reason, is not with the squad on tour in Germany. There does appear to be movement on Youri Tielemans. If I were to guess why things have been slow, it’s fewfold:
- The player would be due back on July 14th with the rest of the international players. Clubs tend not to want to take on wages until players are working.
- Tielemans only wants Arsenal, so there’s not much chance of being gazumped by Todd Boehly, Newcastle, or Manchester United.
- Arsenal don’t want to pay Leicester a massive fee.
Frenkie De Jong is rumoured to be costing about £65m with bonuses going up to £80m. The wild part of the story is the deal is being held up because Barca owe him £17m in deferred payments. Quite something for a player that tanked.

Europa League IS a great place to learn about young players, so hopefully, we get a bit of excitement there, but at the same time, I hope the best young players don’t lose out because they stayed for the 6 European games, versus opting for the 4500 minutes they might get elsewhere.

Jack wilshere sadly never learnt to ride a tackle, and that has been his downfall..
We have a lot of young talented players guys like Saka imo overplayed last season he was running on gas from March.
Wilshere to play only 125 PL games in approx 10 years at Arsenal a travesty 2010/11 35 PL games his only season where he featured heavily and with cup games probably too much.
Injuries can happen to any player but I really hope we learn from managing young players minutes.

Yep, it was part of his technique. He tended to draw the player in for the tackle and then pop the ball off late. It’s brave but you’re going to get caught especially in the PL. It’s instinctive though, hard to break habits like that. Great player but got clobbered a lot like most Arsenal players tended to do under Wenger.

With you about the technique. Messi dribbles like that too same with Maradona. The aim is to give the opponent as little chance to keep up as possible. It wasn’t really wilsheres fault imo he wasn’t just lucky and also the Pl Is a biased league for dribblers. If you aren’t a diver like jack,Zaha etc you’ll get clattered a lot

It was awful really. Quite often tackles come in from angles that you just can’t see let alone ride. Used t happen to Ronaldo when he was young. Joe Cole was another. You can’t blame Jack for arse holes hacking him down in spiteful fashion

I am no fan of Arteta, but maybe that’s what he is doing. Having a large team allows him to give time to every players without sacrificing their fitness nor risking injuries (except Tierny who is made of glass anyway).

Sinner gave him a bit of a challenge and he is somebody I like a lot, much more grit about him than the other newgen. A 20 year old pushing Djoker to 5 sets on grass is mad impressive and he is an all-court player, been to R4 at each of the 4 Slams.
