That’s the big news. Arsenal are 100% fit for the NLD this weekend. What a game this is.
Nuno started strong and has faded.
Arteta started so badly it made eyes bleed, but now there’s a glimmer something good might be happening.
Both fans are waiting to see if their season can get a massive boost from a mega performance this Sunday.
Arteta went for the heartstrings. He said there’s a difference between a fan and a supporter, and ‘supporters’ is what he’s had this season. I agree. The fans in the ground have been amazing.
‘It’s a privilege to play in front of people that have the knowledge of the history of the club, and they are fully behind the team’
Tomorrow is a huge one for us. We need to show at the ground. A massive atmosphere for our young squad will go a very long way. These players need Arsenal supporters in the down moments, if we give them what they need, they’ll be better for it.
Arteta gave a big pointer to the midfield starting 11, stating that ideally Xhaka would have more minutes under his belt. I think it’d be really rough to give him the nod after all the nonsense he’s given us so far this season. Let’s see what Odegaard or Sambi can do there. Reward the change. Since Xhaka was absent, we’ve won three on the bounce. Simple stuff.
Tell us about Tomi:
‘I’m impressed with the way he has gained everyone’s appreciations. Against Burnley he was exceptional.’
Tell us why you have no injuries:
‘Everyone wants to be involved and we have fantastic physios and sports science department.
Tell us if you need to sell Lacazette:
‘He’s a phenomenal character that is always pushing’
Tell us about Auba’s form:
‘We need to get him more chances, he is in great form’
The positive outlook has continued. He’s pumping players, giving a little more insight about them, and radiating confidence. It’s a small thing, but the reality is, the leader in the dugout controls how the fans feel.
We need a win though. The team need a proper performance. There will be no spoiler tactics tomorrow or dry grass to bemoan. Spurs will come to The Emirates, sit deep, and spring counters that we have to be sharp about.
Harry Kane and Son are Arsenal kryptonite. We have to have an answer tomorrow.
Everyone needs to do their part.
A great result and life is better for everyone.
A bad one? You can’t even think about it.
On that note, take a look at the latest video/pod that we recorded yesterday… and I’ll see you in the comments.
Goddamn if only there was a way to do a pogba w emi but its too late unless we buy half the argentina squad…
Plus ramsdale deserves his place atm
Sooooo harsh.
Antonio was a fullback. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a transformation in a player. Players go from being strikers to defenders but hardly the other way.
Happy for the lad not like I know him 😉
My hammers friend is looking much younger these days. the dude looks like he just returned from Istanbul -hair transplant
Westham fans used to be the most pessimistic of all fans, until now.
Some on here were turning up their noses when we best Burnley 1-0 away from home. They went away to Leicester and scored twice.
Diss
Apples and oranges. Arteta does not dictate to the owners, they don’t need to ‘curb’ anything they agree to. The buck stops there. If u dont think KSE bought into the willian deal or any other of the bad ones its just not realistic. I can easily see our board thinking that getting willian on a free entitles him to excessively high wages only to see the multiple problems a few Months later.
*beat…. bloody autocorrect
Raheem
Theres that welshan at real madrid (?)
Radio Raheem
I hear Antonio is one of the most approachable premier league players. He’s the type that reminds you of the nice bloke you grew up with.
The AFTV people used to seen him out, never seems to decline interviews from them.
Zacharse
We disagree then
I think the policy is a half measure to correct the dubious approach that got us an Auba extension, Mari extension, Saores deal and Willian contract in one window
I think they didn’t have the cojones to fire him but decided instead to confine him with some restrictions.
Safe to say Leicester have had a poor start to the season.
But fuck Leicester, their two full season’s under Brendan has been their most consistent (arguably best) since forever.
They shouldn’t even be in the top 10 ordinarily. That we and any other so called big side is contending with them is a sign of our failure.
Leicester having problems defensively and people kept telling me Sonyuncu was the absolute deal.
Their problems defensively coincided with the old boy Evans being eased out and Sonyuncu given the senior role in central defence.
Unless their defence starts gelling Leicester to drop out of the reckoning at the higher end of the table but always someone else to come in and take that place.
If brentford and pool draw and brighton wins monday 🤞
Brentford have nothing to lose.
I see loads of goals.
Brentford 2 Liverpool 4 or something like that.
Tony against VVD will be interesting.
Brentford v Liverpool.
F. Thomas v J.Klopp.
Toney v Van Dyke.
x 2 proper and very charismatic managers who believe in entertainment and goals.
no Jdp here!
Diss I understand why you might think that, but that sort of punitive attitude you assume exists btwn arteta/edu and kse is not realistic. You really think the people who stand to gain or lose hundreds of millions of dollars based on our results really want to hVe a situation where they have to put restrictions on a manager because they don’t like what hes done? Why wouldnt they get rid of him? Especially unrealistic seeing as KSE have proven themselves beyond naive w buys like pepe- why would they dictate to someone who they know knows better than they… Read more »
“ Tony against VVD will be interesting”
YES. Will be a big day for toney to prove himself and show something. Cant remember who theyve played already but you’d think going head to head w VVD would be a major rite of passage
Leicester City stans quiet today,
Top 8 is the new top 4
Don’t think Arsenal will make it this season though
Got some good teams/coaches up there
Trust the process
No Pedro, it was clearly an awful performance and result only beating Burnley 1-0 at Turf Moor, look how Leicester ripped them apart to score twice!
Liverpool to tear Brentford a new one. Salah to score a brace.
BenD
Vardy had an own goal today.
Burnley away was a test of character for sure but 2 points from 18 doesn’t exactly make them a powerhouse does it.
As if stands Arsenal beat two worst teams do far.
Ben, you are right, huge Leicester fan club on here telling us about their amazing transfer policy. Veeery quiet
A club the size of Arsenal cannot lower standards to compare themselves with leicester
Leicester is a midtable club punching above its weight, Arsenal are a big club thats underachieving
Diet Pep fanboys will applaude if we finish above Brentford and Brighton
Pedro, posters are probably hesitant to say anything Leicester related seeing how your delete key is hair trigger like.
Interestingly, Maddison has been quiet this season……. a would be transfer hangover or was he way overrated by some
Brentford already on the back foot.
They showed us no respect.
Malinovskyi with a belter to match Martinez’
Malinovsky doing his best Roberto Carlos there.
Game on Radio!
Leicesters CBs are worth less than Benny Bianco
Game on Radio!
*******
Thankfully, it’s living up to my pre-match hype!
Canonovsky.
Zacharse
True about Bale but everyone and their dog said he’ll end up upfront when he played as a fullback. Not quite the same as Antonio who was playing fullback, CB etc. in his 20s.
Dissenter
Yeah he comes across really well.
Atalanta doing Atalanta tings
Brentford playing with intent and no fear
Wish we could say the same about artetaball
Which word would capture all the trimmings of arteta ball Pedro
Insipid
Timid
Clueless?
Arteta is crap, but this game is a must win no matter what. Fuck spuds.
If we beat spuds I’m interested, signs of life and all. Anything less and all you can say is that we’re better than the two worst teams in the league. Literally damning with faint praise. mike would be cooked. And the Xhaka-Leno choice. The kind of stupid unthinkable and unforced error that we’ve now seen about a million times with mike. Anyone who thinks either player couldn’t possibly end up in the starting 11 hasn’t been paying attention. That said, as frustrated as I am with mike, as much of a hole as he’s dug in the bottom of the… Read more »
Amazing
Brentford improving by the game
#Coachingmatters
I lookk at these Brentford forwards and can’t remember the last time our two played like that.
Captain Tierney needs to get proper.crossing lessons
That cross was inch perfect
Very astute buy Jota
Pinnock from 6th tier to premier league
Read that Arteta prefers Xhaka for the NLD because he adds steel to the side. The only steel I’ve witnessed is him kicking lumps out of the opposition collecting yellow and red cards regularly: it’s the one constant with Xhaka. That and giving needles free kicks away in dangerous area and he loves testing Leno giving away penalties. He’s quicker than Prince Phillip (RIP) now so that’s a bonus and he’s just below Harry snd Megan in the popularity charts. All in all the way Arteta loves to keep us guessing about line ups Arteta will be the comedy in… Read more »
Janky
Of course he won’t start with Leno and Xhaka……………..or will he?
Surely no one here believes that the Brentford squad is better then Arsenals, yet they play beautiful flowing football, then what is the difference, of course it is they have young exciting manager and Arsenal has the putrid saucy one. It beggars believe that AKBs can’t see that.
How we need a striker like Toney, he would fit so nicely in our team, that’s the kind of striker we desperately need.
Something is going to be coming in the future that some of the miserable cretins on this site will have to answer for…. The hate that went on here, week after week for Ramsdale. The underestimation of his quality by the know-it-alls here, who think they’re football scouts. I remember saying here, that I have noticed Ramsdale is a good shot stopper in the past. Hadn’t watched closely enough to speak on his distribution and strength coming for high balls. Then I said here that it’s a good sign that’s he’s been around the England squad, playing for teams with… Read more »
You ban certainly see an easily discernible style or play from Brentford .
You don’t need a 50 million ball playing. defender to play your style coherently.
Any haters around these parts ?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
been enjoying the football today, very interesting.
Villa dominated Utd today. Should have scored 3 or 4. Love to see it.
As already mentioned the NLD is only of interest to those two club’s supporters and makes no difference to the rest of the teams, that is what defines mediocrity.
Barella one of best central mids in Europe, constant high quality of ball going forward.
MD, really insecure people care about what other fans think of the NLD derby. It’s mediocre to behave like that
Imagine being given £450m to spend and still being a donkey like OGS.
Nigel you savage.
Grrr!
The relegator looks the business. Don’t think you’ll find loads who don’t want him between the sticks.
As for our inerrancy in scouting, its an Arsenal tradition, we’re just trying to keep up.
Nigel Tufnel It’s obvious why some have queried the Ramsdale signing . It’s all to with the sale of an excellent keeper in Martinez to keep Leno as no.1 and then 12 months later come to the conclusion that Leno isn’t up to scratch. And yes, Martinez would have stayed if guaranteed the no.1 spot as he should have been after his exploits in the FA cup run. Is Ramsdale as good as Martinez , of course not , so it would probably have been better to keep Martinez , give him a long contract and sell Leno and then… Read more »
Pierre, no keeper at Arsenal should be guaranteed the #1 spot at a club. Martinez should have stayed, he was 95% certain to start first game, but he bottled it.
Ramsdale is 23 years old, he might not be at Emi’s level, but he’s further ahead than Emi was at the same age. So hopefully we’ve landed a gem.
Salah scores again.
Raheem
Lets see if any big hitters go in for antonio. Could see him eclipsing bale in the CL if given the opportunity.
NLD will be a tough affair
Tottenham had a good first half against Chelsea and beat city
Midfield will determine the outcome
Kane and son always dangerous
If we have a positive approach we should get a win
Pedro
Think emi is a certain personality type and he wasnt going to risk the national team spot. Spurning arsenal probably gave him some steel sadly
I think it will be a draw tomorrow.
Atalanta will no be denied.
I have to believe Ramsdale starts. Almost not even worried about it.
Also believe Xhaka starts. Very worried about it.
Relitigating the goalie situation is pointless, mike can’t turn back the clock. What he can do is move forward with a team that doesn’t include mistake-machine and faux hard-man/Swiss agricultural appliance Granit Xhaka. That’s a move forward that he shouldn’t make. Go with the team you’ve bought/built. Do it!
Janky
Yes please
Zach, good for him, his goal wasn’t Arsenal, it was Argentina… but he would have been our #1 if he’d stayed.
Janky, Arteta said that he didn’t have the minutes he’d have liked. Not sure he’ll be rolling with Granit.

I guess there is a difference between a fan and a supporter.A fan wants what’s best for the club, whereas a ‘supporter’ will blindly cheer whatever the club does. Pedro, you used to be a fan. You no longer are
What a load of bollocks this chat is
2-2
Mr Serge, absolutely agree. I’ve always been a supporter. Always had idea for a better Arsenal. I think we’re on a good track now. Hopefully we can smash Spurs in the worlds greatest derby day event.
3rd cheapest squad against the 4th most expensive
Hope you’re taking notes Pedro
#coachingmatters
Apparently Ben white is the only defender Toney bullies…
Fans vs supporters discourse is horses..it
We just want to see Arsenal competitive not forming cult like manager obsessions
If a coach can’t show what he’s worth in 6 months to a season he should get the sack
Not to much to ask is it?
Raul, not sure Ben White getting bullied is a narrative after Burnley.
Sly, Arteta won an FA Cup inside 7 months.
Ivan Toney has won 6 of 10 aerial duels against Liverpool today as an FYI
True Pedro
and all downhill from there with no discernible identity and mediocre playing style
Martinez did the same with Wigan and was relegated in the same season
Don’t hear anyone singing his praises
3-3 fucking hell
VVD is not the same as before.
Fair play to Brentford.
Great spirit and never say die
Pierre
One eye open, the other eye shut.
You can see why emi wanted to leave but you can’t see (or refuse to see) why Arteta sold him.
#Coachingmatters
Lets see if any big hitters go in for antonio. Could see him eclipsing bale in the CL if given the opportunity.
***
Tongue in cheek? Nice.
Antonio is done well from where he has come from.
I like the spirit of the Brentford. team. Arteta’s team gave up against Chelsea and MC with no fight.
We will never see Arsenal playing a top 4 team with such gravitas under arteta
If AKBs can’t see this they can’t be helped
Calum Smith with a BRUTAL knockout
With Leno starting in midweek surely that means Ramsdale starts tomorrow.
Diesnt it……..?!
We are on a winning run ffs.
Feels like a spirit and confidence is slowly being built.
If he brings Leno and or Xhaka in then what sort of message does that send to the boys who have scrapped to those last 2 league wins.
Arteta’s team selections tomorrow tell us if he has learnt anything at all. Reward good performances or play his favourites no matter what.
What a game this is. Look at that fucking save.
Brent Ford
A team built from 2nd to 6th tier part time footballers
@Pedro
“MD, really insecure people care about what other fans think of the NLD derby. It’s mediocre to behave like that”
You totally tried to spin that and make it personal, I said doesn’t matter to other TEAMS, whoever wins the NLD will hardly impact the table and definitely not move into top 4, therefore midtable mediocrity. .
Any links for the boxing?
Sign Thomas franks up, proper manager
What a result and finish to that. Epic.
VVD is not the same as before.
He’s still a monster defender.
Sly, let’s see where it goes. Plenty to be excited about if you truly do want the best for Arsenal.
I say is early days yet
Nobody should talk about title winners and Top 4 at this point of the epl
Can’t remember the last time we played such attacking football, both teams are miles ahead of us in terms of fitness, don’t know if it’s a German trait but their teams level of fitness is very high.
Honestly guys, you have to pick it up, all the preNLD negativity, it’s such poor form
Told you on the first day of the season Brentford were no mugs.
Not newly promoted cannon fodder
