Isak, Bissouma and Dumfries and bring Saliba back and kept willock, would have been my preference last window, with the sale of Lacazette, Aubameyang, Xhaka, Bellerin, Elneny and cedric. And playing Partey as the only holding midfielder really minimizes his effect unless Odegaard drops to central and defensive midfield. He could be marked like when he was against Burnley. I thinks he needs freedom to be an all action player. Not just a holding midfielder. Playing ESR and Odegaard ahead of him seems like a good idea but in practice, it minimizes Partey’s effect and makes us less threatening because he is tasked with only the Defensive part of the game.
