Matteo Guendouzi has been dominating the news cycle because he went after Maupay after the game risking a suspension, then the story carried on when it turned out he was basically calling Brighton players peasants.
That is Matteo I’m afraid. He’s a bit of wally. However, I can’t knock it. If you’ve played football at even the worst level, you know that it is standard to tell a forward you slipped their mum one at half time. It’s just what happens. Being precious about sledging is very Arsenal. Broader issue is this unpleasantness isn’t just on the pitch.
Still, the FA don’t care about the words and they’re fine with the shove after the game. So he lives to fight another game.
Next up is Southampton. He’ll start because we have basically no other options with Torreira and Xhaka out injured. It’ll no doubt be another slog of a game unless there’s a magic 17-year old that can dominate a Premier League midfield that we’ve had hidden away.

We’re also being linked with a swap deal for Mikhi and Kluivert. Again, the young Dutchman was exciting a few years ago, but a bit of a worry that they are willing to get rid of a player so young for one so average.

Pedro but he did have great performances on the pitch when he first arrived here, Many games where he was very influential, played with more belief.
Something happened with him, he was Arsenalized if you ask me. It’s for the sake of these young ones we should desperately rid ourselves of certain characters. If Guendouzi had serious senior midfield partners, I really think he can be great. I can see a lot of talent in him. I am sure three young players can have great careers. And Him along side Saka and Martinelli are those players. A 21 year old shouldn’t be expected to be the finished article. Pedro, You have a dislike for Guendouzi admit it. What I like about him is he plays on edge and he is naughty. He is arrogant and Confident. That will make home a good player.

Theres a massive player in Guendo. And hopefully Arteta can bring him out with his coaching.
He should be developed in the Fabinho/ Fernandinho model imo.
Tall , good engine , good dribbling , good passing and first touch and a fierce attitude which if develop correctly can be a real asset for the club long term.
His positioning which was his biggest flaw has improved a lot.
Needs to get better at heading , releasing the ball fast and control his temper and we’ll have a real player on our hands.

Brighton’s 19 yo RB looks a real prospect. He’s already completed 2 or 3 good dribbles today in the first 30 mins.
All sound bites till we see exactly what his style of play is, as for now Arteta is yet to establish exactly what he’s trying to do or at least a part of it,our play feels all too familiar.

Not sure you’ve watched a lot of Ndidi. His primary role is DM and the stats prove he’s the best in the league at what he does, better than Kante this season. He doesn’t need to be silk on the ball, he has other team mates to do that for him but he’s damn good at his job.
It’s that Arsenal thing and wanting everyone to be good on the ball and have every team we play against stroll past our midfield every game because the place is filled with ball carriers and no tacklers

I have watched enough of Ndidi before coming to that conclusion. If he goes to a top top club , its very likely that he will have to be comfortable on the ball as well as being excellent defensively. See Fabinho , Rodri , Casemiro , Kimmich , etc.
He is definitely a monster off tbe ball but on the ball he is average.
What im saying is the media and pundits have overhyped him. It happens when an underdog team defies expectations.

Wasi Ndidi is not poor on the ball, he has a good pass on him and has a good shot on him too. He doesn’t have to be exceptionally good on the ball as long he does his primary job brilliantly. Guen is a headless chicken not good enough for an arsenal team but better than we have at the moment we need a midfield overhaul like Partey and a proper string playaker alongside we need to sell the dross and take advantage of the lower teams financial issues

I don’t mind Luiz on a one year deal. He is a massive help against lowly teams and a Backup. But we are going to have to put up with an occasional fuckup from him. N’didi isn’t world class because he’s been excellent for Leicester and has good stats.
