Alex Iwobi has SPOKEN.
‘I always had that youngster tag at Arsenal, so hopefully with this move I am able to make a name for myself in the Premier League and create history with Everton.’
Football often imitates normal business.
You climb the ranks at an agency as a young whippersnapper, your title might jump, but your pay often doesn’t. People still set your stapler in jelly, wedgie you in the toilets, and remind you of the time you vomited in a plant pot outside a Covent Garden pub.
You have to leave to earn that BIG money and RESPECT you deserve.
I feel you Iwobi. Fuck the system and fuck Craig in IT… he has no right to do that to you in the bathroom.
The legend of Jeff continues… the enigma of a man we all loved for no other reason outside his superb name… has moved to Lyon for UP TO £28m deal.
Unreal business from Angers.
‘HE’S SHIT HE’LL NEVER AMOUNT TO NOTHING’ has a great ring to it, but I’ll be honest, I think Lyon has a pretty good record of unearthing value in the market, so one would suspect they know what they’re buying here.
I’ll have no complaints about this miss if we sell Mustafi to Monaco. Surely the German can’t love his deal so much he’d be willing to sit on the bench for a season? Have a bit of pride.
Burnley is the next HUGE game that is up. I am interested to see whether Emery continues with Callum Chambers who did a decent job against Newcastle. We had a bit of a wait last season before he moved onto the new boys. Petr Cech had to land an injury and it felt like a while until Torreira was acclimated to the first team.
My personal view is we should push for David Luiz in the first team ASAP. If we don’t, he’ll not be fit for the BIG games that we have coming up. Really wouldn’t fancy Callum rolling against Spurs and Liverpool.
Hopefully, Pepe and Ceballos can ramp up their fitness as well. We’ll need to put in better performances over the next few weeks if we’re to come out the other end with a mighty fist full of points.
Check out this tweetstorm on Arsenal’s summer. Epic and very complicated.

Hi
Barnes need to keep an eye on him.
We should win 3 nil this weekend
3 points, clean sheet, and goals for Auba and Pepe.
I feel that Chambers is not brave enough to challenge the opponent’s strikers head on. He tries to play the position and retreats. He’ll have problems against strong physical strikers or fast strikers who can score if you give them a feet of space..
‘The legend of Jeff continues… the enigma of a man we all loved for no other reason outside his superb name…’
Err, Jeff showed flashes of brilliance in some of the games he played for us. On occasions he showed amazing ball control and beautiful touches. He was physically a lightweight and perhaps why he faded away. But he deserved the hype he got early on. One of the most exciting if not the most exciting Arsenal youngsters in recent times.
Pierre
How’s your thesis on “competitive sport” coming along.
Remember you said I “needed educating”
I wait with bated breath.
Pepe with a double this weekend.
Assist Laca and AUba
Swiss Ramble. is epic. I always suspected he may be SurferX of Le Grove fame..
No proof of that other then the convo I had with him one time about FFP and it’s impact on the Premier League. Similar thought processes and writing style.
The problem is Pedro talked them up, banned people arguing against them and him all because he chose to ignore their past and agenda and simply focus on the fact they were saying the same things as him.
CA you little slut.
New post bitches…now go forth and pollute this one with your arguments…
One of the most exciting if not the most exciting Arsenal youngsters in recent times.
TR7 this has got to be a joke right? One of the most exciting youngsters in recent times but he couldn’t make it past the Emirates Cup. Come on man. Saka alone IMO absolutely shits on whatever potential “the Jeff” had
Marko you little slut 🙂
As for Burnley Luiz, Torreira, Ceballos and Pepe absolutely need to get some serious mins in before the Liverpool and Spurs games
Swiss Ramble doesn’t do anything epic. Most of what they write is very preliminary financial analysis.
Most exciting youth player of modern times surely has to be OX no? Just didn’t work out… Injuries and Wenger playing him all over the park killed that one off.
Jeff barely registered on the radar for me.
It’s epic by my standards as I can’t count past £40m + 1.
Lol Tr7 ok… dude.. I’m sure you could do better . Its not the basic financial data it’s the ability to communicate it in a affective way and organize it that makes it epic.
We’ve hit a real low when I’m having to explain a really over the top comment.
Lighten up chaps.
No matter how over the top a comment in the blog may be someone in the comments will use it to support their agenda.
Marko
I have not watched Saka play, so can’t really say. But Jeff was a special player. He did not make it past Emirates cup because he was too lightweight and physically weak to impose his game. But in terms of skills and technique he was the most exciting.
Mid
I am not considering Ox as a youth player. because he kind of straightaway made in to our first team and was playing first team football at Southampton too if I can recall correctly. He sure was very talented though.
My team for Burnley:
……………Leno…………….
Niles–Luiz–Sokratis–Kolasinac
…………..Torreira–Xhaka…………
……Pepe–Ceballos–Auba
………………Lacazette……….
Subs on: Nelson, Martinelli, Ozil
Pedro Football is not an exact science. Arsenal have made a lot of mistakes in recent years including the sale of two or three youngsters who might have made the grade in first team with club. Realistically Messrs Reine-Adelaide, Bennacer and Gnabry would not get into the starting X1 of our current team. So the only issue that I might have is that the club might have generated more transfer revenue from these players than we did. Let’s be honest Arsenal’s financial and performance failures are well known to all and sundry. What we need to do now is be… Read more »

‘No matter how over the top a comment in the blog may be someone in the comments will use it to support their agenda.’
Are you referring to Pedro’s comment on Jeff ?
Emirates, it’s not an exact science, but Gnabry was player of the year at Bayern, Jeff has just moved to a very smart club for £28m and Bennacer is player of the tournament at AFCON and off the Milan.
Not small misses.
My newest agenda is to get Pedro off his Vegan diet.. You all need to support me in this. I blame oat milk and hummus or whatever the Diet Wokeness of the day is… he has been slightly bi-polar ever since.
A good steak and a shot of bourbon will cure just about anything… I have scientific data to back it up.. as soon I do a few google searches.
‘his’… really Midwest? So disrespectful of my pronoun prefs.
TR7
I meant more the Mourinho thing from the other day, the Jeff thing really doesn’t register for me.
Whatever the player’s ability while at Arsenal was, he really was known most for his name over anything else.
I’d add Laca to your list of players needing minutes Marko.
Lol Pedro.. You saying you been kidnapped and forced to eat soy puffs?
Agreed Luteo, ‘release the Jeff’.
I’ve got no problems in saying those chickpea crisps ‘hippeas’ I think, are scrumptious. Lay off Pedro’s diet haha
Chris I just fear this is like that one time Pedro got on this kick that he wanted to train to run a marathon.. and was trying to run a 4 min mile on his treadmill..
It won’t end well and in the meantime we get moody posts..
Appreciate the support, Chris.
Anyone else gonna watch the Super Cup or whatever they are calling it.. the one we should be in..
I’m a vegan. There, I said it.
Ahh I gotta say I support healthy eating. Oat milk is nice, but take it a step further and get into some fermented foods. Find yourself some Kombucha and kefir cultures if you are into healthy living. You can ferment oat milk using milk kefir grains, although it takes a bit of attention to get it right.
Gonna try to catch some of the Super Cup. Looks like both are fielding strong sides. If Chelsea get spanked again can’t imagine Frank’s honeymoon period will last much longer.
Bayern must be in a terrible state if Gnabry was voted player of 5he year.
Speaking of terrible state, what does it say about our team when Luiz can walk straight into our Midfield and be it’s best player.
Sancho –
Probiotic fermentation is where it’s at. Top man.
I can not support a herbivore diet ….. strictly carnivorous … with an occasional dive into omnivore territory for me.
Jamie/Mid
It’s not for everyone but the health benefits cannot be denied. I’ll still eat a steak whenever I want but just trying to be proactive about my gut health before I start bleeding from my anus and I have to come ask you guys about it. That’s just a complete hypothetical by the way, not a reference to anyone at all.
Speaking of Ox.. looks like he is getting a start for Klopp.
Sancho –
Haha, who was that again?
Sounded rough.
Is anyone else mesmerized b y the Super Cup opening ceremony.. its like a scene for Ali Baba and the forty thieves.. we don’t get good stuff like that over here.. jets flying over at low altitude is about it.
All female referee crew… there is something you don’t see everyday..
“I’ll have no complaints about this miss if we sell Mustafi to Monaco. Surely the German can’t love his deal so much he’d be willing to sit on the bench for a season? Have a bit of pride.” Mustafi shouldn’t be getting close to the bench this season. There’s no need other than for minor cup matches or unless we have a massive injury crises. We have Sok, Luiz and Chambers with Holding back soon, we then have Monreal as oh dear back up. We should strip Mustafi of his shirt number and give him 93 to make clear where… Read more »
“Speaking of Ox.. looks like he is getting a start for Klopp.”
Soon to be followed by “and he’s out for the season with …..”
Luteo
Christ everyone’s being a bitch tonight!
Lampard playing konte as a CAM???
Looks like 4-3-3 to me.. Kante on the right side of the midfield 3 but he is getting forward.
One can at least see what lampard is trying to do, his play pattern. I still don’t know emery’s though
Marc
Me? Not sure what you’re referring to but yes I tend to get bitchy once in awhile.
Lol at the assistant referee asserting authority on the Chelsea corner. Gotta be taken seriously.
Good to see Giroud is still slow as ever.
Luteo
Yeah right making comments that aren’t a reference to anyone else at all!
Chelsea hits the cross bar
Liverpool look slow and tired at the moment.
Chelsea moving the ball quickly in the middle and using the space between full back and CB well.
Pedro though still pretty quick for an older dude.
Hahaha Pulisic will learn.. Giroud isn’t getting to those crosses. Chip it up to his noggin.
Pulisic is no Hazard, far from it.
That fucking tongue
Midwest
Don’t call Pedro old – he’ll only slip into despair and cry, then we won’t get a post for days.
Kepa is sharp up to now.
Oh damn my bad I meant Chelski Pedro.. Our Pedro is a nimble young technical master of course.
Be great if Liverpool play this team and like this against Arsenal
Marc
Never found you to be such a sensitive one haha.
Chelsea really love to hit the woodwork. If even half of those efforts went in against United it would have looked a different match. Still can’t get over how much they paid for Kepa. They’ve had some good chances today. Feel like Salah will catch one though.
Girard scores
#Giroud
Cannot argue.
Well deserved.
Liverpool look totally off the pace
There he is Captain.. Europa.. Geeerooo..
That pitch is a patchy mess… ball is hopping all around … has to favor the cloggers.
Giroud scores from a Pulisic pass.
Strange game as Liverpool does not look sharp.
NIce goal.
It must have taken lampard some years to bed jn his pattern cos emery’s pattern is still unknown. You can’t watch chelsea’s two games this season and still be wondering what has changed
Liverpool’s midfield is nonexistent
vickingz

“One can at least see what lampard is trying to do, his play pattern. I still don’t know emery’s though”.
I have no idea what the pattern is called but you can be sure it doesn’t prevent 4-nil drubbings. But it may well help them win the game tonight, who knows. 1 – 0 to them already.
There is what my boy Pulisic can do… Why he has to play for those bastards though..
Pulisic is playing very well
Offside goal. Chelsea wants it more. Pools players don’t seem to care that much.
Chelsea Pulisic ruled out for offside.
Liverpool really look lethargic.
Chelsea run behind them at will.
This is what I was saying yesterday. After watching the City game the way you get at Liverpool is the gap behind their press, particular when the full backs go forward and when there’s no CDM sitting in.
City did it to them again and again.
I would give Luiz a start at the weekend to get him sharp, those long balls into the channel could be the one for us.
Well taken goal by zpulisic. Notwithstanding the offside
Adrian is a shite keeper Liverpool better get Alisson fit or else they’re gonna have to start out-scoring or lose games. I don’t see them getting close to City this season. They really should’ve spent this transfer.
Liverpool as well as having a quiet summer have to play in the club world cup and coupled with the lack of a back up LB for example and possibly CB if Lovren goes they might struggle as the season goes on
I’d imagine Pool will make some adjustments and play better second half.. Did Ox even touch the ball? He might be getting subbed off.
CA,
That works because Chelsea has Kante and ManCity Fernandinho. Both tenacious defensive midfielders who can also release quickly for through forward pass.
We have Xhaka…
I have no idea what the pattern is called but you can be sure it doesn’t prevent 4-nil drubbings. But it may well help them win the game tonight, who knows. 1 – 0 to them already. Yeah, I don’t expect you to know what’s called since it’s not in existence at arsenal. Only the blind can’t see what lampard is doing with these players which if it were to be that these were the players emery inherited, we would be hearing they are shit because they ain’t emery players but wenger’s. This is emery’s second season and we still… Read more »
And even in the 4-nil drubbing, they were obviously the better side
_______
Say what? lol no they were not.
Liverpool playing like they did in the second half against Norwich.
Slow and lethargic.
Chelski on the other hand look very good.
Pools got Adrian for free. That’s what you got for saving a few dollars.
Adrian is obviously of not the same quality than Allison, but he is a decent goalkeeper. At least he is better than Mignolet and Marius. He is less likely to commit howlers like the previous two.
While watching the football at the weekend I was saying to some people I didn’t think Liverpool will be the same side as last year.
Tired legs, tired minds.
Never agree with not adding to your squad and Liverpool’s midfield certainly needs additions.
I actually think Spurs will finish 2nd behind City.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Liverpool had a shockingly bad season, by that I mean 4th so obviously not that bad.
Chelsea were by far the better team for 60 mins against MU.
Anyone could see that.
I still think that Liverpool will finish second, but not as close as last. A few team may decide to have a go at them. And if they lose the fear factor, I don’t think that their defense is as good as people make it to be.
Spurs have a good first 11, but they do not have the squad for an extended run in the premiership. However they may again reach the Champion’s League final and even go one better this year.
MidwestGun
Sorry mate, you’re wrong, Chelski were the better team for long periods at OT.
Having your pattern of play doesn’t automatically shield you from drubbings though
Lucky Pool.
