Question is, When last did Ramsey play as a CM & actually do well. I’m thinking last season. Spurs sounds like a bad time to experiment him there I think..
tbf to play two flaky waifs in both Ozil and Miki together in a game of this nature runs the big risk of getting over-run. All well and good to see these two start together against the EPL fodder teams but a game like this one flaky waif too many if both started.
Whether the first XI as a whole will be good enough will be seen soon enough.
Ramsey and Mkhitaryan have to get in the box to get shots on goal. Lacazette is a class player, but he doesn’t generate a high amount of efforts on goal. Very efficient though. Not feeling confident about our back four. Can see us conceding two in the first 45.

Bottomline, it’s a good thing we have options during games.

You don’t create at Wembley. You strong-arm your way to chances with strong runners and physical power. Not that Ozil creates jack shit anyway.
Frost, true, but Ramsey knows these games the most in that line up and always plays well against Spurs. I just think Ozil should have started as we have no creativity in the middle and Spurs’ full backs will nullify our wide players in MK and Iwobi.

The only problem I have with the starting XI is Torreira not starting over Xhaka who tends to be a liability in games like these where he can’t keep up with the pace and just hands the ball over time and time again.
Has to be a reason for it though, maybe he’s not at 100% fitness? We have a lot of ames at the moment so I guess we have to rotate a fair bit to get results, today is not the game to leave out Torreira if fully fit though imo.
