Ivan the terrible keeps on giving – Ramsey ducks with HUGE win

by .

It’s not often I’ll concede and take a fat L, but today, I must.

Aaron Ramsey’s agent has only gone and done it. £140k a week NET fam… which works out at around £280k a week GROSS. That’s good cash. Baldwin, you’re the British Raiola, and we’re proud to have you raping the game for all it’s worth.

Well played.

As for Aaron, it’s over. The much-loved Welshman is ducking out with a huge win. He’s going to one of the most prestigious clubs in the world, he’s playing for a top 3 manager, and he gets to live in Turin.

God speed.

This goes down as one of the worst episodes in a long line of Game of Thrones like transfer catastrophes. Arsenal could have tied Rambo, Ozil and Sanchez down to longterm deals 4 years ago after we’d just beaten Villa in the FA Cup final. We dithered, wouldn’t pay out wages that outstripped Wenger, and the rest is history. We let one go for £35m, lost one on a free, and stuffed ourselves with the one that cared the least for £350k a week.

What a disaster.

It was the right decision though. A Europa League team cannot keep on dishing out £150k+ a week deals. We’ve made a total hash of those sort of contracts already. Ozil, Lacazette and Mikhi spend most of their time on the bench. Aaron is a good player, but I don’t believe in him as £300k a week player. If he’d been Pep trained from 20, sure, but he’s been schooled in the woods for 8 years. I also don’t think we can afford that sort of luxury anymore. We need Torreira players. £25m in fee and £65k a week in salary.

The big fear that I have now is how we get out of this absolute mess.

Our wage bill is fucked, we have no saleable assets, our youth players are good but there are no Cesc’s bubbling up, we have an ageing defence and most importantly… there’s no fucking money to pull ourselves out of the problem. Oh, and we also fucked our managerial appointment.

The pain is real.

We’ll have to unfuck ourselves first, then we’ll have to reset, then we’ll have to pray for diamond eyes to come good.

It very much looks like we’re going to be out in the wilderness for a long time.

Such a shame we spent the banter years hoarding money, buying shit players for big money, as well as sheltering an utterly dross coaching staff.

Anyway, needed to get that out my system.

Onto more positive tones tomorrow.

Listen to the damn podcast.

Homelessness is an issue in any west coast city. The climate brings over alot of the homeless from colder climates out east.

Why be in -30 in Ontario and Quebec when you can be mild Vancouver/sf/la

Has Napa recovered from
The forest fires ?

Guns of SF

Napa is recovering. Takes years for the earth to get back to normal. But we have had lots of rain last 2 years so things are looking good.
Problem is a sudden outporuing of vegetation with the rains and then drying in the fall with our Indian Summer winds and warm temps make the area a tinderbox.
Its a real problem and no easy solutions. You cannot just cut and entire forest down to prevent fires. Our firemen are great- how many have lost their lives fighting to protect lives and property. Such a noble job. Everyone loves Firemen

Joe

We’ve been having big issues with forest fires here as well. Nothing like Cali but still
Massive.

Bc is just a big smoke cloud come August.

Cheers, thanks. Will give it a shot one of these days.

Fires have been very bad this past year. Know several families that needed to evacuate. A good friend of mine is a firefighter with LAFD, was working nonstop for awhile.

Homeless is a public health issue. It just doesnt happen. Many homeless are mentally ill and or have a substance abuse problem. many are educated, many have families, but what most all of them have is a lack of hope. new studies have found that getting people off the streets now means giving them a home first and foremost before even rehab begins. usually its been the other way around. When people feel that they belong, have a place to call home, they tend to want to take care of it and not lose it. Its motivation. I know SF… Read more »

Same shit different day! Values – History and Traditions is this in making profits or playing football and challenging for the highest honours? Because if it’s the latter, I haven’t seen it since 2006 and 1994 since winning a European trophy. Seems they (Vinai, Sven & Raul) are all kow towing to Kroenke to keep their nice big salaries and positions safe. Musn’t rock the boat to god forbed want money to buy players to dig us out of the hole Kroenke was happy to see us sink deep into. “And we’re really confident we can be successful with this… Read more »

The snow whistler has been getting this year is insane. To be fair, the winter so far here has been brilliant for the good powder days!

Watch the football early doors then up the hill for a good old shred on the board. Cannot fathom how people would want to live in the mountains and yet not really enjoy winter sports, lol. Being from south london, we had snow like this back home, it would come to a standstill, haha.

Canada what a country! Unreal place to live.

Have I stumbled on a travel blog or something?. Here’s an idea for y`all. “Visit Rwanda”!!!!!

Joe has a pet tiger and rides a dinosaur to work and his dad’s he-man 🤪😂🤪😂

PhD
Mwooah there!! Looks like you’ve got a hard on for me too!!?

University education is overrated in many cases
Mum has a degree
Missus has two. Both earn far less than me

Will be mortgage free before I’m 40 and am in the process of buying into my third property this year.

I’d love to send you a link to our customer review page but for obvious reasons it would be an extremely unwise thing to do given my popularity among the resident lefties.

Un na naai

Oh and joe

Although I’ve never once lived in a council estate I’d like to know why you feel it’s so shameful?? Very un-PC

mysticleaves

Un na

Education is not only about money. it refines you, the way you talk to people and chat with strangers on a football blog and all that.

how comical you accuse Joe of “lying” about being a millionaire fireman and yet you “lie” that you are about to buy your 3rd property. See what I did there?

If I were you, I would take a course or two on public behaviour and communication or something like that

Tony

UnDon If what you’re saying is real, good for you. I find self made people far more interesting than the siver spoon brigade. One of my closest mates out here is the president of one of the largest Asain MC clubs. He left school at 14 being told he’d never amount to anything above a road sweeper and the army would be his best bet because he’s one seriously hard bastard now and throughout his life. He’s just 50 and worth around £3.5+ million from Thai property and ownwd an oil & Gas support company, which he sold 15 years… Read more »

I watched Chukwuezes clip on YouTube and I was left wondering how we didn’t sign him when we had the chance. He’d be the new Salah if he keeps progressing as he is…

Are Xavier and Saka close to that? haven’t caught any kids game this season so I don’t know how they have played

Un na naai

Mystic

It doesn’t matter wether you believe me. And PhD’s and monzorla’s and bamford’s “education” hasn’t stopped them from insulting others on a football blog.
I’m not pretending I’m loaded but I’m young and I’m on track.
The third property isn’t being bought alone. There are three of us.

Either way. Most of what I say to joe is just winding him up. I’ve nothing against the fella doing well or making a nice life for his kids.
But I do enjoy a little wind up now and then.

“There is an increased belief among the Arsenal coaching staff that Mavropanos is ready to play in the first team and is in contention to be involved in senior games when he’s fully match fit.”

Could be why we’re not linked with many CBs, seems to be highly regarded by the new coaches after just a week back in full training. Maybe wise to wait for summer to get a top CB and keep Mavro, Sokratis and Holding.
Get rid of Chambers, Mustafi and Kos.
