Ramzzzzzzey agent tweets some stuff + Alexis goals per minute update

by .

The penguin was the Arsenal contract. Shortly after this was taken, his agent booted it out of his hands

I can’t get enough of watching Jose Mourinho spill his career down a toilet he’s been well and truly soiling for the past 3 seasons. Managers like him are a relic of the past. Stale ideas, a nasty approach to man management, and a horribly negative vision of what football should be.

My hope is United fire him and line up another washed up hack, the worry would be if they went hard for a real talent in the shape of Pochettino. I’d be very worried to see what a man like him to could do with a squad that needs some love and excitement. Personally, I’d send Ryan Giggs their way, and I’d pay for the train ticket.

There are also some very boring rumours that Arsenal might go back in for Alexis Sanchez.

Errr… guys… he earns £26m a year for some reason.

We packed him off for a £35m that now looks like a clear case of misrepresentation of goods. They could literally sue us for what we did. Outright revenge for that special signing they dropped on us years ago…  yeah, you remember the summer of Silvestre.

Anyway, I wouldn’t want a rancid personality like his near the dressing room. He went to United and was truly exposed for what he is… a talented individual incapable of playing as part of a team. That’s why Pep binned him the first time. Why United thought they’d get anything out of him playing in a criminally dire system like Mourinho’s… well, I have no idea.

Still, we’ll always have that piano visual. Those embarrassing commentaries about ‘how big clubs unveil players.’ That’s one of the archives. Embarrassing, start to finish.

Also:

HE HAS GONE 1000 MINUTES WITHOUT A GOAL LOLOLOLOL

Petr Cech is out for longer than we thought, up to 4 weeks now. That’s a shame. Hopefully, Leno plays so well he won’t return. Harsh, but so is the circle of life. Not sure if you’ve seen Lion King, it explains a lot.

Aaron Ramsey’s agent is attention seeking again, talking to fans, then deleting the tweets. I’d be majorly hacked off if I were a player and my agent just blew a deal for me, I’d be even more annoyed if they were making things worse on Twitter.

Here’s the thing, if Ramsey really was committed, he’d have signed in the summer. Whatever his agent was doing with the deal tipped the club over the edge to invest elsewhere and forfeit a transfer fee. Good riddance. I’m sure reuniting with the blandest CEO of all time is exactly the jump start his career needs.

Finally, there is no Mikhi on Thursday in Baku because of political nonsense.

Right, now we’re done here, how about you jump on the podcast and gorge yourself in Arsenal goodness?

Really, stop digging the hole deeper
Juventus is a bigger club that Arsenal.
The only one on the universe that believes otherwise is you.

Joe – “Pool have man city next. Dropped points for someone. As long as don’t wenger the next match b Fulham we could be looking very good in terms of league position”

Absolutely this btw! Every game should be treated as a must win as far as possible.

Will we or won’t we wenger it rofl ;))

UTarse

Is vic vic the 12 year old squared ?

raptora

Jardim is probably in danger. 1 win in 8 games in Ligue 1, 0 wins in 2 games in the UCL. Too modest of a manager for Manure but they could definitely do worse. He didn’t show consistency though. It’s not the same when you don’t have the hottest prospects in world football now is it?!

Champagne charlie

*Not the same when you have your entire first XI purged in 2 years

No matter what the heathens of this blog say

Without a doubt, Spurs and Liverpool fans have gone home happy tonight having witnessed ‘exciting’ performances from their sides. Excitement is far more important than picking up 3 points. Formation, selection and tactics spot on.

Emery Out.

VicVic

Just to let you know it will take Arsenal many many years of winning trophies (not social media followers) to be considered anywhere near as big as Juventus.

Not only head and shoulders the biggest club in Italy, but one of the biggest and most famous clubs in world Football.

They don’t need to have millions of followers from the African continent to justify this.

It’s just a known fact.

Joe

Since when did money and social
Media followers determine how big of a club you are?

Juventus is a much bigger club than Arsenal when it comes to what actually matters.

End of discussion.

How many CLs have all those Nigerian followers won us??

I should be in the UK with the rest of you buggers right now but a massive fuck up from my flight booking agency has screwed my plans. So I’m taking the family to Thailand instead. Every cloud I guess…

I’m worried about the Fulham game

Goonerbone

We have to get Matias Vargas! Speed and technique! Crosses like Jesus Christ A lifelong fan! 21 yo. We don’t need a replacement for Ramsey, we need wingers!

Carrierbag come first.

Worry about them and then concern yourself about “the Fulham game.”

Samesong

I’m worried about the Fulham game

Why?

Samesong

Fulham have 4 players that will try to hurt us.

Sessegnon
Cairney
Seri
Mitrovic

Their defence is gash.

Samesong

No doubt Fulham will give us a good game but I don’t expect them to come out of the game with anything. Auba to find his scoring boots again in this match.

April 9th 1980, Highbury. Arsenal 1 Juventus 1. Cup Winners Cup semifinal, first leg.

I was there on the NB.. Just 17 years of age.

Clockend taken over by Juve fans. Great atmosphere.

Juventus had nine players from Italian national team playing for them that night.

Went on to win 1-0 in Turin with Paul Vaessen(RIP) winner.

Fudged it up in Final against Valencia.

Heartbroken.

Sanmi

Was Jardim not one of legrove special managers?
Alongside Mourhino, Conte?

Pierre

Michael
Remember it well ,I went to Belgium for the final at the crappy Heysel stadium .

That was only a few days after we lost in the FA cup. Final to 2nd division West ham who I have to say outplayed us on the day .

They were 2 of many cup finals I have been to that I have walked away disappointed hence the reason why I value winning our recent 3 FA cups as no final is a certainty.

Pierre

I would imagine you had a smile to yourself at Joe trying to talk golf last night and getting it completely wrong …bless him.

The FA Cup back in the day was competitive and the only live game on the box.
Now it’s just an outing for fringe players..

Tight schedule, early kickoff, plus expectations that Arsenal will pick maximum points…

It rarely ends well with Arsenal

Emiratesstroller

We have seen over last two days that EPL Clubs are nothing special when competing in Champions League for all the money invested in transfer fees and wages.

It seems to me that some of the Continental Teams are recruiting much better
than our clubs and get better value for money.

Arsenal have learned clearly that spending inflated wages on players unless
they are mega stars is not the solution.

Jamie

Pochettino last night after Spurs conceded 4 goals at home to Barca:

“To concede after 1 minute against Barcelona, I think our players were heroes.”

Deary me.

Jamie

And from the hack Phil McNulty:

“Spurs […] still showed the heart and guts to come out swinging and land the counter punch.

It was a tribute to their character that they remained in the hunt for an equaliser until Messi appropriately had the last word to seal Barca’s 4-2 win.”

Heart and guts, tribute to their character.. What a fucking clown.

Michael24

Pierre Yeh, very amusing. What were those figures Joe was highlighting? I didn’t get it. As for the Cup Finals, I have been to three. 1972, aged 10, with my Dad.Losing 1-0 to Leeds. Cried all the way home. Lost to WH 1-0 in 1980. Actually got spanked on the day. No energy left after the twenty games against Liverpool in the semi’s! 2003 Final, Southampton with my son who, at the time, was eleven. PIRES!! No goal fests, but wonderful times. The atmosphere at the 72 final was unbelievable. Maybe it was because I was so young. All I… Read more »

I’m in agreement with RT.

The FA Cup has lost it’s magic and winning it is no longer the experience it was.

Sad but true.

Emiratesstroller

Frankly I would like Arsenal to start playing Smith-Rowe in the first team to see how he performs.

If we are going to lose Ramsey either in January or at end of season I would like to see if he can fulfil a similar role. Based on the two cameo performances that I have watched him play I think that might be a good replacement in Central Midfield, because he has pace, technically is gifted, prepared to track back and tackle and can also score goals. He looks like a very useful all-round player.

VicVic

Spuds are Spuds but imagine this Arsenal team go down to Barca after a minute.
It could easily be 5-1.

Nothing has changed.

VicVic

‘The FA Cup has lost it’s magic and winning it is no longer the
experience it was.’

Yeah, it lost its magic the moment Arsenal won it three times almost in a row under Wenger.

raptora

TallestTiz: “Tight schedule, early kickoff, plus expectations that Arsenal will pick maximum points… It rarely ends well with Arsenal” These traits developed under Wenger, no?! Well, he’s gone. So maybe we see a change in mentality. Because the team is a reflection of the manager. Vic: “Spuds are Spuds but imagine this Arsenal team go down to Barca after a minute. It could easily be 5-1.” You mean Wenger’s Arsenal surely?! Because this Arsenal team went 2:0 in the first 20 mins vs the chavs away and you saw what happened. Nah, we are currently living a charmed life.

If we played Barca now, Messi will be out injured after Mustafi mistake him for the ball and we will win off a fluky own goal.

VicVic –

Why do keep mentioning Wenger’s 3 ‘almost in a row’ FA cups when you could be crowing about our social media following and finances?

How many new Facebook friends have we picked up so far this season? That’s what ‘real supporters’ want to know.

raptora

I mean taking any colored glasses off and I can see that so far this Arsenal team, and what I mean one of the traits that are showing a lot, is that they keep fighting till the last minute, they keep trying, they show good mentality to win tight games in which not everything that they try turns to gold.

Pierre

I know what you mean about the Leeds fans ,I went up to Elland road ,early 70’s ..not a nice experience,we just about managed to get on the train home in one piece. On to today’s game news: Aubameyang was sick, he can’t play. Aaron asked me if he could stay in London because he wife is pregnant and they are waiting. Mkhitaryan can’t travel here. I wonder when it was obvious that Mikki can’t play in the EL, why was he an unused sub vs Watford? Is he really considered after Ramsey and Ozil in the CAM role, and after Auba, Ozil, Iwobi and Welbeck in the winger role?! Arsenal will have an extremely demanding fixture list post the next international break. The fixtures may not be particularly difficult in isolation, but collectively are going to be a problem with 5 games in 13 days. These are: 22.10 LEICESTER 25.10 SPORTING LISBON 28.10 CRYSTAL PALACE 31.10 BLACKPOOL 3.11 LIVERPOOL This schedule will prove very difficult for our limited resources and most definitely needs some rotation. My view is that we should put out a second string side against Blackpool and also rest some of our players for the Sporting Lisbon game as well. We need a settled, rested and… Read more »

Wenger didn’t ‘almost’ win three FA cups in a row. He got knocked out in the quarters to Watford in 2016. That’s not exactly close to winning it.

Leedsgunner

Looks like we’re going to be putting out a strong line up tonight… surprised Özil went.

I hope we get to see W.illock and Nketiah start.

As much I would love an absolute rampage over QFK, I’ll be satisfied with a 2-0 with no injuries.

To me, Martinez has to play, because with Cech out we can’t risk Leno getting injured…. and being unavailable for the EPL.

UTarse

Ha ! thanks Highbury, I will shorten to Lil p in future

HighburyLegend

LolZ at the spuds.

Bamford10

Messi was fantastic last night. His passes on the first two goals were particularly good.

Kane scored a good goal, but Tottenham sorely missed Eriksen and Alli. Trippier impressed, though; good player.

Napoli showed that grit, intelligence and organization can beat star power. Not that Napoli are without good players, but I bet their starting XI cost 1/5th of what Liverpool’s starting XI cost.

Ancelotti just arrived there, yes? Will Emery have us capable of such wins this season? I hope so.

Nope, always stated Henderson was a water carrier. Pretty sure Ishola rates him.

Victorious

Looks like AMN is back for the europa
Awesome news that is, lad has got huge potential and just need that proper guidance to see him through ,I’ve got huge hopes for him and he’s Probably the likeliest to make it at the top level from the young bunch

UTarse

Must be play time at school.

Marko

Vic you’re talking absolute nonsense. Clyne barely plays Alexander Arnold isn’t really a weak link and Sturridge has been an excellent bench option this season. I love how you purposely forgot to mention the form of Milner, Joe Gomez and Robertson this season. Also Ox prior to iniury was playing excellent for them. Which of our British players are playing well? Have played well in recent seasons? Exactly. People in glass houses and all that

mysticleaves

Lol. Victorious that’s so venomous. Though some Brits can play. The culture is killing them more than their (lack of) talent. Arnold-Trent and Joe Gomez are doing big things for Liverpool. Definitely better than Bellerin.

CC, sorry, I was a bit confused. Definitely Ishola then. Hendo can do a job definitely, same as El Neny but he cost 17m more lol. Squad player at best

Pierre

Ufraud

Off you go then …

mysticleaves

AMN is back? Wow awesome news. Also my favorite young player at the moment. i am actually desperate for him to succeed IN the centre.

Marko

Henderson has actually done a decent job for them the last couple seasons. Not a great player by any stretch of the imagination but he knows his role and does it well occasionally. Of course Milner’s form and Fabinho being signed kind of makes him redundant

Clyne barely plays Alexander Arnold isn’t really a weak link and Sturridge has been an excellent bench option this ” thanks for making my point ,Clyne can’t get a look in because he’s shit(failed project). Sturridge has been an “excellent bench option” because he ain’t good enough for the start? another failure, look ox hasn’t done anything under klopp that he didn’t do while with us and where the fvck is he right now Really The young right back is nothing specialwas directly at fault for the hazard goal against the chavs and looked shaky all match I’d give you… Read more »

He could have done more because most English players are energetic and all. Liverpool plays with energy and basic midfield instructions so I guess he would have gotten more from them.

Perhaps one of our French Grovers can answer this… BBC reporting again that Adrien Rabiot has turned down the latest contract offer from PSG. Recently, Veratti has come out and said not so very subtly, that he didn’t really get on with Emery whilst he was the PSG head coach… was this feeling widespread in the PSG squad? Or was he a malcontent? If we could capture Rabiot for nothing, I think it would be certainly a coup for the Arsenal… especially if we could sell Ramsey for even a modest sum. In my mind, Rabiot has a greater ceiling… Read more »

Marko

Vic again talking shite clyne is a failed project because he can’t get back into the team after injury because his replacement is playing so well? Sturridge is a failed project because he can’t get into arguably the best front three (or at least one of the best) in Europe? You’re honestly a fool. Klopp for what he’s getting out of Milner and Robertson and for what he’s done with Joe Gomez and Alexander Arnold alone is getting more out of British players than anything Arsene has in many years. Also Oxlade was playing better for them than us

Marko

Leeds I think Rabiot is Barca bound but in any case we should at least try for him he’d be a major upgrade on Xhaka. As for Verratti’s comments on Emery who knows honestly. David Villa, Silva and Pep amongst others have nothing but nice things to say about him

HighburyLegend

I think that Veratti didn’t like the fact that Emery was too harsh, and too strict with some rules.

Tuchel seems to be a more relaxed and “friendly” type of coach.

And concerning Rabio, he will probably quit the club this winter

Marko

Speaking of failed projects how about every young British talent under Arsene Wenger since Ashley Cole?

Dream10

Leeds

Apparently, Rabiot has turned down offers of 7m and 9m Euros a season. Wants 10m.
If he leaves PSG, he’ll end up at Juve (love a free transfer) or Man City. He spent a year in Man City’s academy.

Redtruth

Guendouzi is our Rabiot.
A quality striker and a few other additions should see us competing with the very best.

Dream10

Marko

With the exception of Carl Jenkinson (not a PL level player) they’ve all done well under AW. It’s extremely difficult for youth players to have PL careers, let alone make over 200 appearances for a CL club. The majority of youngsters don’t make it

Leedsgunner

I thought AMN isn’t due back into to training until later this month? Isn’t he recovering from a broken leg?

HighburyLegend

“Apparently, Rabiot has turned down offers of 7m and 9m Euros a season. Wants 10m.”

Mesut’s hidden son.

mysticleaves

Marko, Sturridge is definitely a failed project. The front 3 was bought because Sturridge failed to prove himself worthy enough. And he’s failed at every club he has been in actually.

And how is Victorious a fool for arguing a point? You need to grow up

Steveyg87

“And that was it for me …I was jinxed ..how we lost that I never know.”

If we by some miracle make it to a Champions league final in our life time, please…. stay away

Steveyg87

Don’t even watch the game!

mysticleaves

If we can get Rabiot on a free it will be awesome. But I think Man city will nab him. They need a Fernandinho replacement. Barca is crowded.

Marko

With the exception of Carl Jenkinson (not a PL level player) they’ve all done well under AW Walcott done well? Didn’t know his proper position in 10 years. Wilshere? Do me a favor. Ramsey? Is he a CM or a number 10? Chambers bought for 16/19 million and we’re loaning him out. Nah I honestly don’t think we’ve produced anything nearly as good as Ashley Cole since Ashley Cole. Used to have loads of Arsenal players playing for England then we didn’t. Mystic if Victorious’s point is that Klopp isn’t doing a good job with the young British players he’s… Read more »

Marko

I’d rather City signed Rabiot instead of them signing Ndombele. Apparently they’re sniffing after him

raptora

I don’t really like Rabiot all that much. Jack of all trades type of player. I’ve noticed that you can never go wrong with players with good speed in them. Rabiot isn’t fast, isn’t tough. Dunno. Doucoure type for me. That can get the ball and go to the other side of the pitch with 10 steps. Combative, strong.

Champagne Charlie

“As for Verratti’s comments on Emery who knows honestly. David Villa, Silva and Pep amongst others have nothing but nice things to say about him“

Interesting that Peps opinion is suddenly relevant to you, spent plenty of time dismissing it when Arteta was spoken of highly.

Champagne Charlie

Doucoure over Rabiot?

You can’t be serious with comments like that surely. One’s a permanent feature for a top drawer PSG side, and the other didn’t get a sniff from a big side in the summer despite being at Watford.

You sure?

mysticleaves

“Doucoure type” is different from Doucoure I guess.

Receding Hairline

Ancelotti just arrived there, yes? Will Emery have us capable of such wins this season? I hope so.

Well Bamford you may have to factor in the fact that Napoli did finish last season on 91 points. It’s not really a culture change assignment for Carlo, more of a pushing on assignment.

Having said that i am very curious to see how Emery sets up against Liverpool, he has played against Klopp before and knows what to expect.

Receding Hairline

Personally i thought we were pathetic and ill prepared against City in the first game, considering the players we had back early and the time we had to prepare, although being his first game and all i just made allowances. We should have won or drawn the Chelsea game, that one was on Lacazette and Aubameyang, one for a very silly pass the other for atrocious misses.

Receding Hairline

Don’t really get the whole Doucure fascination , what exactly is he supposed to be good at??
