Ramzzzzzzey agent tweets some stuff + Alexis goals per minute update

by .

The penguin was the Arsenal contract. Shortly after this was taken, his agent booted it out of his hands

I can’t get enough of watching Jose Mourinho spill his career down a toilet he’s been well and truly soiling for the past 3 seasons. Managers like him are a relic of the past. Stale ideas, a nasty approach to man management, and a horribly negative vision of what football should be.

My hope is United fire him and line up another washed up hack, the worry would be if they went hard for a real talent in the shape of Pochettino. I’d be very worried to see what a man like him to could do with a squad that needs some love and excitement. Personally, I’d send Ryan Giggs their way, and I’d pay for the train ticket.

There are also some very boring rumours that Arsenal might go back in for Alexis Sanchez.

Errr… guys… he earns £26m a year for some reason.

We packed him off for a £35m that now looks like a clear case of misrepresentation of goods. They could literally sue us for what we did. Outright revenge for that special signing they dropped on us years ago…  yeah, you remember the summer of Silvestre.

Anyway, I wouldn’t want a rancid personality like his near the dressing room. He went to United and was truly exposed for what he is… a talented individual incapable of playing as part of a team. That’s why Pep binned him the first time. Why United thought they’d get anything out of him playing in a criminally dire system like Mourinho’s… well, I have no idea.

Still, we’ll always have that piano visual. Those embarrassing commentaries about ‘how big clubs unveil players.’ That’s one of the archives. Embarrassing, start to finish.

Also:

HE HAS GONE 1000 MINUTES WITHOUT A GOAL LOLOLOLOL

Petr Cech is out for longer than we thought, up to 4 weeks now. That’s a shame. Hopefully, Leno plays so well he won’t return. Harsh, but so is the circle of life. Not sure if you’ve seen Lion King, it explains a lot.

Aaron Ramsey’s agent is attention seeking again, talking to fans, then deleting the tweets. I’d be majorly hacked off if I were a player and my agent just blew a deal for me, I’d be even more annoyed if they were making things worse on Twitter.

Here’s the thing, if Ramsey really was committed, he’d have signed in the summer. Whatever his agent was doing with the deal tipped the club over the edge to invest elsewhere and forfeit a transfer fee. Good riddance. I’m sure reuniting with the blandest CEO of all time is exactly the jump start his career needs.

Finally, there is no Mikhi on Thursday in Baku because of political nonsense.

Right, now we’re done here, how about you jump on the podcast and gorge yourself in Arsenal goodness?

haven’t you heard. financial success is more important than trophies. According to Vic and co. So of course they wank off to poch and wenger.

Also, VicVic insists that more global facebook friends makes you a bigger club. Any club can win 2 Champions League trophies, 3 UEFA cups, and 34 league titles in a major European league. Winning major trophies is not as easy as getting 100m followers on Instagram, didn’t you know? The very idea that Sanchez could return to Arsenal is laughable. The player is toxic and as Pedro suggests Arsenal are not going to spend £26 million pa on a 30 year old player. I still believe that the Ramsey situation is down to the agent. Let’s leave aside the potential wage bill. Why would Arsenal make an offer and reach the point of agreeing a contract and then withdrawing the offer? It is highly unlikely that the wage bill is the reason for Arsenal’s withdrawal, because whatever we agreed to pay Ramsey is still going to be cheaper than… Read more »

I would like Marotta, but it seems as if we’ve made out choice giving Sanellhi the football side of the club. His first action was pretty strong as well which suggests he’s going to have a lot of power and will actually do things. Very much supporting his handling of the Ramsey situation, it just would have been great if he was in charge last year.

It’s a difficult situation with regards Manure.on the one hand you want the whole club to implode with Maureen,Pogba, martial & Sanchez

Gunner2301

Emirates I would consider taking sanchez back on half the wages, so unlikely. I think he would fit Emerys style more than other players we have and is a grafter up top which is what Emery is after. I think the toxic thing came about because the rest of the team were on Wenger holidays (as we can clearly see now) while he was putting a shift in. He was pissed off because he was ambitious and those around him werent inevitably he was going to fall out with some of the team, which everyone reports as him being disruptive.… Read more »

Up 4 grabs now

Afternoon,
Wouldn’t have Sanchez back at all, he’s a busted flush.
30 years old, even half his wages are 250k a week.
United won’t give him away either so probably a 35-45 million fee as well.
Forget it, better players out there.
He isn’t even what we need, the most important player we need is a centreback. I’d rather spend 50 million on that.

Champagne charlie

Gunner2301 With respect i think you’re judging the situation with heavy bias for Alexis. It wasn’t a case of players disliking him because he worked hard, that’s an absolute fallacy and a half. He was known to isolate himself from the group, berate other players when they made mistakes, ball hog during games instead of play for the team. The charging about like a bull was a show too btw, this was another major gripe among players if reports are correct. Arsenal had all the physical metrics available after games and many players apparently felt Alexis did the mad sprints… Read more »

No thank you 1,000x over to Alexis Sanchez. A great talent, yes, but he never developed himself in a particular position and his personality is problematic.

Zidane and Conte are the rumors I’ve seen re United. Conte would right their ship very quickly, so let’s hope that doesn’t happen any time soon if at all.

BacaryisGod

It’s probably fun piling on Alexis, but I still can’t get those two exhilarating seasons out of my head when he pretty much lifted the club on his shoulders. We all loved him then and it just feels a little classless to jump on his carcass right now. As for Ramsey, it’s clear that his agents have backed the club into a corner with unrealistic demands and Ramsey is playing the game too (photo-op with Ox, etc). Of course the club have let it get out of hand also, but Emery made it clear re-signing Aaron was a priority and… Read more »

Marko

Don’t see it happening but I will say this if we did manage to get Marotta there’d literally be nothing stopping us getting back to where we should be as one of the top sides in Europe competing again. He’d be a statement in itself. Sure Raul and Sven look like good appointments but one could if they wanted to find some negatives in them whereas with Marotta and the job he’s done at Juve it’s been almost flawless the last number of years

Pierre

I said repeatedly at the end of 2017 that Sanchez had lost a yard of pace and looks bulkier…nothing I’ve seen since has made me change my opinion.

Bamford10

Yeah, if Ramsey’s wage demands are unreasonable, it would be nice to get something for him in January. We need to improve in a number of spots — CM/holding mid, CB, wide — so we could use some additional money.

Bamford10

Agree that Ramsey might fit in too well and be too good at Liverpool. Would be better to sell him to Spain or Italy.

Marko

Yeah, if Ramsey’s wage demands are unreasonable

No if about it they are. You could also say if he wasn’t playing so shit we should keep him but he is and we shouldn’t.

DivineSherlock

Mourinho is a fraud , his brand of negative football doesn’t work anymore. Imagine a team of Mata , Pogba , Sanchez , Lukaku , Martial and then playing like Stoke City 2009. But whats more laughable is the fact they have bungled their managerial appointments since Fergie left. Moyes ,Van Gaal and now Mourinho. They could’ve gone for Klopp , Ancelotti or Pep.

Bamford10

Marko

Are you saying you don’t rate Ramsey? We’re all still trying to figure out where you stand on him. 10,000 posts saying he’s shit have yet to make this clear.

BacaryisGod

When the latter Wenger years are written about, I think a pivotal moment might be in the summer of 2015 the passing up of Virgil van Dijk for 13 million at CB. We had just bought Chambers and Gabriel for a combined 27 million in the previous two windows and rather than admit our error, we stayed with them because they apparenty looked like they were trying harder than the effortless VVD. I’m thinking Arsene would have passed on Bobby Moore too.

Marko

Few things I’m sure of in life but one thing I am sure of is Aaron Ramsey sticking out like a sore thumb in that Liverpool midfield. Absolutely no way he can barely play CM for us and people think he’d be good enough for Liverpool? Nope. Not disciplined enough not technically good enough and not fast enough in what Liverpool do.

Bamford10

@Betweentheposts is who to follow if you want to see what xG adds to your understanding of a game. They’re definitely focusing on this stat at the moment.

I like that they describe Juventus’s formation last night as a 5-2-1-2. I’m going to call that a 3-5-2 in which the wide players play like wingbacks.

Marko

We’re all still trying to figure out where you stand on him. 10,000 posts saying he’s shit have yet to make this clear

I’m saying he’s playing shit. He’s not totally shit but like Xhaka I just don’t think he’s good enough for us. I would say that 8 years is long enough for him to cement his place and his position but still nothing yet. The idea that he’s looking for the kind of wages that he’s looking for is ridiculous.

mysticleaves

In midfield can’t look past Kondogbia or Ndombele to solve our defensive woes in midfield. I like these players but at this point we should be looking for Xhaka upgrades not DMs. Torr will own that position for years. We need better controllers and then wingers. In fact, as we are, I would sign wingers before touching the midfielders. The reason it seems we aren’t improving our style is down to no wingers at all. When Iwobi comes on, he plays like one and it makes immediate impact. The most beautiful teams I have ever watched played with wingers. At… Read more »

Marko

I don’t think Torreira is an out and out DM I think he’s somewhere in the middle of that and what Xhaka supposedly does I feel like he’s the long term replacement of him. Still need more control and defensive awareness in there there’s no point in just having one. And no Guendouzi isn’t a DM either. I agree about the wingers though we’ve lacked them for years and years.

Bamford10

Actually, the more I look at their passmap, the more Juventus’s set-up looks like a 3-4-2-1.

Allegri is a really intelligent manager. Has interesting ideas about formations, but adopts formations to the attributes of the players he has and instructs his players well in their roles.

Carts

Not only was Mourinho the wrong appointment for Utd, courtesy of Woodward, but there’s zero doubt in almost everyone’s mind that the issues goes deeper that Pogba.

Mourinho has lost that dressing room.

Gunner2301

Listen dont think im precious over Sanchez because im not. He worked in our team due to the lack of structure under Wenger and the freedom he was given. Hes not working under Mourinhio because rigid structure doesnt bring out the best in him. At Barca again i think he struggled with structure but Pep thought he could channel him in some way hece why he maintained an interest. re: Ramsey

I can;t wait to see the back of him. He’s the ready salted version of a footballer but he’ll have you believe that he’s rock salt and peppercorn version.

What makes me laugh is that it mirrors Wilshere’s contract situation. They’re offered a deal. Delusion of grandeur sets in, then all of a sudden they think their worth more than they are.

I’m all for players getting their money, but frankly Ramsey (like Wilshere) is not that player. Imperative that we cash in in January and reinvest the coin.

Good riddance.

mysticleaves

Carts, I hope Mourinho does just enough to hold on to his position.

Allegri is not really a very top manager. He was sacked at Milan and got a team that has won the past 7 leagues in Italy. If people deride Emery I wonder why Allegri gets a pasa

Bamford10

* adapts

mysticleaves

I don’t really hate Ramsey. Under AW, I feel he wasn’t coached properly. Now under Emery I feel he is being played not necessarily out of position but where hes not very comfortable. Simply put, he’s a bad AM. He’s a better CM but needs to be educated properly on the art, especially as he was given free reign recently.

I find the response that he’s being used as AM for the purpose of pressing as laughable. Ozil or Miki will be better fit there and can do the press too…

WengerEagle

Say what you want about Real Madrid indulging Ronaldo over the years, I can never remember in his 9 year stint there a run of fixtures where they have looked this hapless in front of goal.

Himself and Messi are once in a generation goalscoring phenoms and they are irreplaceable to Real Madrid and Barcelona, Real have lost that fear factor they used to carry with Ronaldo.

Lopetegui won’t even last until January for me.

WengerEagle

mystic

What are shiting on about?

Allegri won the league with Milan, he’s the only gaffer to manage to win the Scudetto in between the Inter Milan and Juventus reign of dominance from 2006-present.

He’s also won FOUR of those 7 league titles at Juventus and has improved upon the excellent foundations that Conte set, notably in Europe getting to 2 CL Finals whereas Conte’s Juventus always struggled in Europe getting knocked out in the groups/early knockout stages.

He’s clearly a top gaffer.

WengerEagle

I think Chelsea in 2 weeks will be the KO blow for Mourinho, United will probably fluke a win over Newcastle this weekend but he’s a dead man walking and it will only take one more humiliation before he’s out the door.

Fancy Chelsea with Hazard playing as great as he is to stick a good few past them.

WengerEagle

Or Juventus a few days after that if he clings on post Chelsea result.

mysticleaves

All i am saying is, Emery would win the league with Juve too. Its very unlikely to see who will win the serie A in the next 3 years not named Juventus. I don’t want to open a can of worms, just don’t understand why one is treated like he failed whole the other is lauded as elite. Both had same situations.

WengerEagle

mystic Well anyone referring to Conte as a failure is talking out of their hoop as well. Both are elite managers, I just prefer Allegri because he gets more out of his group imo and this shows in the disparity in their European record. The Juventus supremacy is getting boring, would love Napoli or Roma to clinch the Scudetto but agree, they’re just not equipped to go the 38 game marathon toe to toe with Juve who are too strong, psychologically as well as from a playing POV. I vividly remember how incensed Wenger was during the 1st post-January presser when a journo asked him why he signed someone with a broken back on a short-term loan.

WE, mystic meant Emery compared to Allegri not Conte. To be honest as a manager, the Champions League is the make it or brake it competition regarding a top team recruiting you. Emery got the PSG gig because of his Sevilla heroics although in Europa. He failed two seasons in a row to reproduce his European success so he was let go. Almost all of the top teams outside of the EPL have their domestic success assured before a ball was kicked. Juve, Bayern, PSG even Barca and Real. We can add Man City to that bunch. I know that speed isn’t everything, but with respect to Aaron Ramsey it has cost him big time over the years. We are continually told that he has an incredible engine and covers miles during matches and yet he is often found wanting when adequate pace is required to either press, track back or attack the opponents defensive set up. How have they done since he left? Juve may be the alpha in Italy, but winning titles 5,6, and 7 is not such a cakewalk with a propensity for players to play at 80% game after game. Our team needs to get younger and better. Alexis has his day. On his day, he was great and did save our bacon a few times. Thanks but that is where it ends for me.
