Ivan’s record stained with weakness.

Screen Shot 2018-04-22 at 21.57.52

You sense that Ivan Gazidis is about to leave Arsenal because the PR is kicking in, and ESPN are writing stories that the reason for his move isn’t cash (bitch please).

Fuck off, Ivan.

You’re leaving because you’re landing an equity incentive to turn Milan around.

Congrats.

I’m sure it’s a lot of money, but don’t try and turn the situation around. You set the vision and tone for Arsenal after being a yes man to Stan and Wenger for ten years. Then someone offered you a shit tonne of dollar to abandon a significant project that you believed in, and you took it straight away.

That’s poor leadership.

It’s weakness of the highest order.

Is it a good thing for Arsenal? No way. It’s a terrible thing. The guy who set a savagely unambitious 5-year plan in motion for the club doesn’t have the balls to see it through. He hired a safe manager, all his pals, spent all the clubs money and then bolted at the first flash of green.

I can’t stress how weak that move is.

But look, this is a someone who doesn’t give a fuck about Arsenal.

This is someone who spent 10 years unable to convince Stan K that Arsene Wenger was bombing the club he purchased. Performances slumped, commercials never rose above average, players begged to leave, no one wanted to join, the press complained, the fans booed, ex-players protested… but our CEO couldn’t convince the owner things were going down the shitter.

This is the man who stood tall in 2017 and stated he’d searched high and wide and Arsene was the best manager he could find. He’s weak, he’s submissive and I’ve no doubt he’ll be a bland hire for Milan.

Fuck Ivan.

Let’s move on and hope Stan signs someone with a bit of vision.

History judges the winners, and in sports management, that’s the trophies. Ivan will retire with a lot of money, but he’ll never be a legend of sport. No one will write about his vision. No one will write about his trophies. No one will care.

When you’re rich, the history is what’s important.

That’s his loss… and no matter what he tells himself, the money will never make up for the fact he failed at Arsenal.

Right, that’s me over and out.

Listen to our podcast which is both excellent and enjoyable.

Redtruth is a fucking communist bastard.

Bielsa?
Ospina?

Put it together folks.

The dude is either a genuine South American (he isn’t as his language is too good – relatively speaking) or he’s a commy bastard.

Or thirdly…he could be the repugnant, Corbyn. Vile.

‘Of all the top players of the current generation, he and Neymar are the two I would most enjoy accidentally injuring lol’

Shows the sort of man China is. Sorry I meant weasel.

Add Coquelin in there and Messi is shit.

Messi isn’t shit, but he isn’t the best ever. Leave it there.

You can’t be seriously taking the piss out of any cunts accent coming from that giant potato patch you call home?

WengerEagle

I knew I recognised you from here before lol how many times have you been banned now Auber.gine/Northern my old flower?

How’s that toxic wasteland up north that you now call home? I’d commute halfway down the country on a daily basis for the escapism too.

Lol GoH I concur.

You gave yourself away the moment you wrote about the Irish “potato patch”.

Candreva is a miserable footballer, and Italian sides cannot hack it against fit sides

Guns of Hackney

This has been done to death but there is at least one active footballer better than Messi. Ergo, he isn’t the best ever. And by the way,
the other guy isn’t either.

kc

OK maybe Dembele is worth all that money. What a beautiful player he is. At the same time Umtiti has about as much business playing for Barca as Alexander Song. What a goon.

Jeff

So, Gazidis is gone. Nice to see the swamp draining steadily.

Guns of Hackney

PSG’s goalie is called Areola. Tee hee hee.

Big night for Danny Sturridge.

Almost 7 minutes after Robbie Savage slates Icardi for being underwhelming he scores a worldie lol

Nice to see Inter back at the big table, but they’re fucking pony. Good talent across the pitch, but that manager ain’t lasting for me

Dissenter

Spuds wont even qualify to drop down to Europa league. They are coming last in that group.

Guns of Hackney

schadenfreude, chaps…is a horrid little trait. Stop tagging on Tottenham and concentrate on your own F.C.

Freddylekgunner

Lol they believed in their own hype and didn’t buy any buy player coz they can’t find better players

Champagne Charlie

Hackney shut up mate, having a chuckle at a rival is part of the fibre of being a fan. Arsenal aren’t on, would rather focus on those that are.

The work pressure, also the said and unsaid expectations that parents have of their kids to acheive the type of lifestyle they would like to keep- without understanding that geting into Ivy league and top colleges is harder than 20 years ago.
Of course, other reasons too…. substance abuse, etc.
It happening all up and down the valley.
But overall, a good place but need to have realistic expectations for the kids…

Imagine being this much of a castrated cuck that can’t into a bit of banter. You sure love being cheeky about “our” club though.

N5

Lol and Castrated Cuck. That is one of the best insults I’ve read on here 😀

Champagne Charlie

Hackney

An upbringing thing? Lol. That might be the oddest comment of the year, mocking a rival is an inherent part of fandom. Upbringing isn’t even a factor.

What part of your upbringing sought to encourage unrelenting criticism after no time at all? As is the case with your Emery ranting.

azed

Neymar is closer to Robinho than Ronaldinho or Ronaldo.

WengerEagle

Robinho was better than he was given credit for, delivered for Brazil on the national stage and was an important part of league winning teams with Real Madrid in Spain and AC Milan in Italy in 2010/11 in between the Inter Milan-Juventus eras of supremacy.

azed

Sadio Mane sending Neymar away there…

azed

WE
Robinho was hugely talented by was more interested in show boating than winning.

Champagne Charlie

Nah, Neymar is comfortably better than Robinho. Not in the same planetary system as Ronaldinho or Ronaldo however, peak versions at least.

Champagne Charlie

Ladyboy Thiago Silva is the most overrated Brazilian on show for me..

WengerEagle

Yeah Neymar different planet to Robinho, the latter could ball in his prime though.

Areola always been suspect for me, decent power on the header but straight at him.

Champagne Charlie

Closely followed by Allison…

don’t get it with him at all

Champagne Charlie

Guns of SF

Makes a lot of sense mate, those pressures are devastating.

Guns of Hackney

CC

Hypocrisy. This is what allows me to critique Wengemery and also vilify you for castigating Tottenham Hotspur.

Anyway, let’s not you and I go into a daily war. That’s boring for the readers.

azed

CC
Neymar is talented but it looks like he’s not so serious. You get the feeling that he its either him or the team can go to hell.

So many times in this game he’s lost the ball because he refused to make a pass or try to get forward quickly.

Champagne Charlie

Hackney

With respect you’re talking nonsense in this regard. Making tongue in cheek comments about Spurs getting beaten is utterly tame.

You’re reaching if you’re trying to establish a higher moral code for not doing so. Your comment was aimed at many having a chuckle so don’t make it about me or you, it’s not.

Champagne Charlie

Azed I hate Neymars attitude, hate it. That being said his talent and production comfortably has him as 3rd best player on the planet by some distance.

But just imagine if he had Christiano’s focus and drive. He irritates because he seems content as is with it all coming so easy. That and the pussy antics

Marko

Griezzman is a good finisher but he doesn’t have the talent to change a game. Incredibly overrated ! Nowhere near even Dmitri Payet’s level

Jaysus

N5

@Marko, I think TR7 was only exaggerating to make a point about how overhyped he believes Greazy is?

Otherwise he may have just had a blow to the noggin

Marko

Blow to the head or not come on now lad.

WengerEagle

Terrible touch by Sturridge, should be 3-1.

Champagne Charlie

Tuchel not announcing his PSG side by any means is he? They look very average.

Desperately miss little Veratti, and is Kurzawa no longer a thing?

WengerEagle

I know he scored the opener but Sturridge looks off the pace, they really need to introduce Firmino to kill this off.

Hard to believe that Sturridge used to be so rapid, looks like he’d struggle to muster up the change in gears to beat a red-headed step-child these days.

WengerEagle

Yeah PSG look very vulnerable, front 3 barely look arsed and their CM has been non-existent.

Samesong

Hard to believe that Sturridge used to be so rapid, looks like he’d struggle to muster up the change in gears to beat a red-headed step-child these days.

Those injuries have taken their toll he wouldn’t of looked out of place in the Arsenal treatment room.

Champagne Charlie

Weagle

Sturridge has reached Owen levels of self-protection, guy knows anything above 3rd gear will tear his hamstring.

PSG have been muck. Lots of noise about Tuchel but Emery had this lot purring compared to this. Like you say, the front lot don’t run.

Samesong

Milner has been such a great player for Liverpool I’ve always rated him.

WengerEagle

Can’t help but feel that like Emery before, Tuchel doesn’t have the respect of this group, especially Neymar.

Found it a strange appointment myself considering he’d done fuck all at Dortmund compared to say a Klopp.

WengerEagle

Such a manager signing Choupa-Moting haha.

Can tell that not one other soul at PSG ever would have had him even on their radar.

karim

M’bapped

WengerEagle

M’Bapped outta nowhere haha.

karim

Samesong

Mbappe is dangerous give him Yard.

Champagne Charlie

Weagle

He doesn’t. Qatar got in bed with Neymar and gave him the keys, he’s top boy there and then it’s the manager. Cancerous setup.

Mo Salah aka Granit Xhaka there, Liverpool are not solid at all.

azed

Mbappe at fault there.

DaleDaGooner

Firminho ….where’s Neymar Jr? Lol

karim

Liverpool deserved to win, PSG didn’t do shit in the second half

DaleDaGooner

PSG with all the money, look bang ordinary

N5

“PSG with all the money, look bang ordinary”

Although it’s much easier to manage players of such quality, it does prove you still need the right people in charge and not just loads of money.

Pep at Man Citeh is similar. Yet he’s got them playing the quality you’d expect but PSG are nowhere near what they should be considering amount spent.

Redtruth

Emery: “You must track back and hold your position”

Ozil: “But why, we never had instructions from the old Manager”

Emery: “Yeah, here’s an instruction, suck on this!, now fuckin do as you’re told and get back to work, you googly eyed cunt”

WengerEagle

PSG are fairly ordinary outside of their frontline I mean you can’t spend 400 million on two forwards and expect to be balanced and strong everywhere on the pitch.

Their midfield is nothing special although Veratti is a big miss and they are weak defensively, Bernat is not an answer at LB. Areola in goal is a big weaklink as well.

Their front 3 will still be more than enough domestically but they will struggle with these weaknesses in the latter stages of the CL once again.

WengerEagle

Red proving that he’s not always a robot, chuckled at that one.

Champagne charlie

N5

Mansour has it right at City though, Pep is king and the players are pieces of a puzzle to bring a mutually agreed vision to life.

Qatar have shiny parts and the construction/evolution is second to that. They hoover the best talent and think results will follow, maybe the penny will drop at some point and they’ll adjust. Until then you can expect Ligue Un domination and CL mediocrity imo.

N5

Could not agree more CC. PSG purchase players like their playing Fantasy Football.

Marko

Gotta say there’s something going on at Liverpool this season they’re winning games now that in seasons past they probably wouldn’t have. Not just because of new signings players already there like Milner and Wijnaldum seem absolutely woke this season. Pretty sure Milner has like 3 motm awards this season

WengerEagle

My boy Firmino at it once again, still not getting all the plaudits he deserves yet. Always seems to be ousted for praise by Salah and Mane.

WengerEagle

Wijnaldum has kicked it up a level and he’s needed to with Fabinho breathing down his neck.

Milner has been quality for years now though, didn’t he register double figure assists in the CL last season?

Redtruth

I still see PSG progressing further than Liverpool.

N5

“Emery: “Yeah, here’s an instruction, suck on this!, now fuckin do as you’re told and get back to work, you googly eyed cunt”

Geniune Laugh out Loud.

Marko

Yeah if they don’t want to use Fabinho they can send him our way in January

London gunner

Yeah milner is an incredible footballer. Rated him for ages.

Work rate combined with end product and the ability to perform in big games and rock solid mentality and very consistent with his performances. What’s not to love

WengerEagle

Hell of a freebie pick-up Milner for Pool, while we were out chasing lads with broken backs and mailmen.

WengerEagle

Yep LG, Milner is your quintessential 7/10 every single week with the odd 8/10 thrown in.

Every manager would love one.

Michael24

WengerEagle

Neymar doesn’t have respect for himself, so why should he give a toss about anyone else.

Cavani works like a dog and gets taken off, whilst Neymar does sweet fa and stays on.

It is common knowledge that Neymar has a clause drawn into his contract, by Qatar Sports Investments, that he should never be substituted, unless injured.

Thomas Tuchel, just like Emery before him, has to deal not only with this arrogant piece of shite but an owning company who, ultimately, make all the decisions.

WengerEagle

Michael

Well Tuchel shouldn’t sign on the dotted line then knowing he’s merely a puppet, should he?

Pep’s a different breed because of what he’s achieved in the game, he would have any player’s respect including Neymar’s.

N5

RE Milner, not only is he a solid performer, he’s got experience out of the wahoo. He’s a great number to have in your squad.

N5

“It is common knowledge that Neymar has a clause drawn into his contract, by Qatar Sports Investments, that he should never be substituted, unless injured.”

Is this true?

Champagne charlie

Milner is the fittest player at Liverpool according to all the pre-season data, guy’s THE English standard bearer for professionalism and squeezing the very most out of your talent.

He’s not special, but takes everything on board and is intelligent and diligent in what he delivers. Superb player to have on the books.

Vintage Gun

Is this true?”

With the amount of stuff leaking out about him over the last year i’d be far from surprised.

“Neymar runs PSG” were the Words of Emery a couple months back

Marko

To be fair to us WE we were in for him it was between us and Liverpool back in the day. Can’t remember if it was a case of money or playing time or preference in position or the usual dithering that made him go to Liverpool but we were interested.

Receding hairline

I thought Tuchel was supposed to be the charismatic man that excels where the dumb Emery has failed

Marko

Bellerin is the most in your face vegan. I honestly wouldn’t have known he was vegan if it wasn’t for him posting about it incessantly. I’d much rather he posted about how he was able to track his man in training or about how he finally learned positionally where a RB is supposed to be on the pitch. I’d give that a thumbs up for sho

N5

Ha ha Marko.

WengerEagle

Lots of Vegans tend to be annoying cunts for the most part, do it purely to get the moral high ground over others rather than truly giving a massive shit about animals and the environment.

Fair play to the ones who do it quietly while minding their own business, admirable.

WengerEagle

Marko

When your shocking form is in little doubt, grow out your hair and deflect their attention to homophobic comments eh?
