“there’s minimal enjoyment in watching our games nowadays as you know what the end result will be come the end of the season”

fortunate you weren’t around prior to Wenger’s arrival then. and if you think the football’s a chore to watch these days I’ve no idea what you’d have made of the Arsenal sides of the eighties.

    Wallace
I wasn’t talking about style of play really (although that has got progressively worse in recent years) was talking more about not getting enjoyment or caring about the games anymore as you no it will amount to nothing. Bit like watching a movie you’ve seen a few times already and know the ending

  3. Dissenter

Culled from Wenger’s chief arse-licker at the Mirror; “The Frenchman has even told friends he does not want to stay at a club he’s manager since 1996 unless he feels wanted and appreciated.
Some of the personal flak directed at him during matches from fed-up and disaffected fans has clearly got to him, no matter what he says in public’

    Don’t stop the vitriol.
Quiet lips will keep leave Wenger in charge

Wallace – I read this as someone who understands you are a rationale voice. But please don’t talk about the pre-wenger times as some kind of wasteland. I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s and those teams had a way to win but they always had some flair and/or class – George, Limpar, Rocastle, Davis, Thomas. Jeez we even got Limpar to fight. I have never posted before but there was a great club pre Wenger.

  5. Thank you and goodnight

    @Wallace

You lot always go on about football in the fucking 80’s. Who gives a fuck about the fucking 80’s. Has no relevance to today and as bystander said at least in them days arsenal managers were held accountable for THEIR results and performances, unlike today. Pathetic.

  6. Thank you and goodnight

    As for Welbeccio…

You stupid knob, you brain dead dick head. Cesc Appeal knows more about Arsenal than you could ever dream too because he’s an Arsenal fan not an Arsene fan you cock. Soon as he fucks off or crooks so will you fuck off. CUNT

  7. Welbecchio

Any fan who thinks the FA Cup isn’t a major competition hasn’t been to a final..

    100%.

And yes Bamford there may be enticing big matches on at the same time as an Arsenal match for a neutral there would be no debate but you’re not a neutral are you?

As an arsenal supporter it isn’t an option not watching or not supporting your team, it’s always the biggest game.

Not literally in some cases dummy but you are struggling, comprehending what’s been said and our history.

‘You stupid knob, you brain dead dick head. Cesc Appeal knows more about Arsenal than you could ever dream too because he’s an Arsenal fan not an Arsene fan you cock. Soon as he fucks off or crooks so will you fuck off. CUNT’

LOL. TYAGN the fountain of football knowledge. Thanks for that insight x

‘he’s an Arsenal fan not an Arsene fan you cock’

Dont forget that he doesn’t watch Arsenal matches. But he does post on le grove all the time that proves he’s a super fan.

Don’t bother with him, give it a few days and Pedro will bin him again, then he will crawl back on to a space filled with people he hates under a new guise ‘Kozzer’ or ‘Bellerino’ or ‘Gibbo’ or ‘Gigantic Giroud’ or ‘Super Sanchez’ or maybe he will switch back to a Top Gun reference, who knows. Don’t get mad at him, pity him for the life an individual like that must lead.

He frequently talks about how sad it is for people to come on here and vent and post great long comments etc, but what is more sad, that, or an angry little man who crawls back onto a blog filled with people he’s never met and are probably a good couple of feet taller than him having been binned for being vitriolic toward said strangers four or five times already, back onto a site he hates, filled with people he hates, I mean that man must shop for shoes in the child’s section still, if you get what I’m saying.

I think you will find that Arsenal have never been “one of the big teams”. We have had a few very good .

    Pierre

I understand that you have been through pretty dry periods as an arsenal fan and that gives you a certain patience and perspective that we the newer generation might not have.
But currently we are the 5th richest club in the world so it’s not okay to say we don’t have a great team and be cool with that. With that kind of financial power we OUGHT to have a great team and we should be competing for top honours (which no longer includes the FA cup). That is the gripe that most of us have with the current regime, we are not being spoilt entitled brats who have never been through dire periods, we just want our considerably large financial resources to be used as best as possible.

Failing to compete for top honours in over a decade is definitely not good use of our resources.

  12. Cesc Appeal

Anyone see that thing from N.eil Ashton of The Sun, says Conte almost got the chop after his loss to us at the beginning of the season, I mean, Abromavich is ruthless but surely not? Quite the comparison in pressure and accountability between the two managers at the weekend.

  13. Welbecchio

Speaking of names it’s quite obvious you’re devoid of any inspiration whatsoever. Ask for help don’t be shy.

Stuck in the past not changing despite the obvious need to do so. A critique you throw at AW is it not?

Like a lovesick teenager that can’t accept his first girlfriend fucked him off for the chav down the road cos he drives a nova.

Accept its over. Move on. A broken heart won’t last forever Cesc.

  14. Thank you and goodnight

“Given Arsenal’s obvious collective frailties, they look the most poorly equipped of the chasing pack to take advantage in the very unlikely event of Chelsea performing a Devon Loch”

Even the papers know are now waking up, shame none of them actually have the bottle too call out wenger on all his lies.

“You lot always go on about football in the fucking 80’s. Who gives a fuck about the fucking 80’s. Has no relevance to today…”

it was just an observation re changing attitudes & expectations. Arsenal fans generally weren’t so embarrassing & entitled as they are these days. probably goes for the fans of a lot of clubs – Man City fans booing a PL winning manager(Pellegrini) and leaving early during his last game in charge after the history they’ve got – but ours are definitely right up there.

    Rainman

“But currently we are the 5th richest club in the world so it’s not okay to say we don’t have a great team and be cool with that. ”

we’re the 4th richest club in England, how can we be the 5th richest in the world?

and as for the team, it is a good one, which is why the other night was so disappointing.

  17. Frank Mc

Sanogo named in Arsenal’s CL squad!!!
The cunt hasn’t kicked a ball (probably fucking miss it anyway) for Arsenal for ages….. oh and he’s easily one of Wenger’s worst signings!
I’d like to say I’m gobsmacked but this is the shit show that is Arsenal.
    Give me strength ffs!

  18. underrated Coq

‘it was just an observation re changing attitudes & expectations. Arsenal fans generally weren’t so embarrassing & entitled as they are these days.’

I call bs. There’s this bizarre misconception that Arsenal fans are among the worst in the PL, when in reality–taking into account the status of the club and the ticket prices–Arsenal fans are the most patient in world football.

Over a decade without a PL title, continuous embarrassments in the CL…and yet the majority of the fanbase still don’t feel comfortable in making life difficult for the board and manager.

“Over a decade without a PL title, continuous embarrassments in the CL…”

not making it out of the group stage is ’embarrassing’. getting knocked out by Barcelona, Bayern, etc less so. even the Monaco result doesn’t look quite so bad now given how they are performing these days.

  20. underrated Coq

    Wallace,

There’s no doubt if Arsenal didn’t have this ‘impressive record’ of getting past the group stages, you’d just re-hash to ”Not qualifying for the CL every year is embarrassing”.

Arsenal have become the butt of all jokes on the European stages, that’s the simple truth.

‘even the Monaco result doesn’t look quite so bad now given how they are performing these days.’

What logic this is, I am truly struggling for words.

  21. Wallace

“There’s no doubt if Arsenal didn’t have this ‘impressive record’ of getting past the group stages, you’d just re-hash to ”Not qualifying for the CL every year is embarrassing”. ”

yup, no doubt. you’ve got me all figured out.

  22. Rainman

    Wallace

Well there are some discrepancies, some put Arsenal at 5th, some 7th, but that’s really besides the point.

The point is we are not doing as well as we should considering our financial status.

  23. Bamford10

    Bystander

“Arsenal have no European pedigree so your expectations are flawed and misguided.”

This opinion is so fucking pathetic I don’t even know where to begin.

  24. Bamford10

    Wallace

Entitled? How is it “entitled” to expect Arsenal to compete for a title every few years? It’s not. It’s realistic.

Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in the world financially. The expectation that they compete for titles and challenge the best in a Europe is perfectly rational and reasonable.

Arsene Wenger simply isn’t good enough. This has been obvious for years now.
