2 year ban?

Good morning, I’ve started writing this early, but if it’s late, that’s because I had to go to a damn early meeting.

So what’s happened in the last 24 hours worth talking about? Well, I saw a long haired pug. Blew my damn mind.

Outside that, I saw Suarez bite Chiellini. Now, for me, I thought it was funny. I mean, a 27 year old man with kids biting another man. In the grand scheme of petulance, it’s right up there with the nipple cripple or podding someone (did you pod people at school?). It’s really a total irrelevance to me. It’s less hardcore than a punch or a kick, it’s less spiteful than a pinch under the armpits and overall, it’s just a bit embarrassing.

Someone tell that to the world. I’ve seen talk of two year international bans!

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! That’s like jailing someone for life for a dry slap. What is the world coming to when we’re dishing out draconian punsihments for a silly little bite that didn’t even break the skin!

It’s so pathetic. As someone pointed out on Twitter, ask Eduardo, Rambo or Diaby what they’d prefer… a bite so tame Chiellini could rush after the ref to show him. Or, a snapped leg from an outrageously reckless tackle that had ‘have that you cu*t’ written all over it.

A bite can get you a two year ban, but the Valencia challenge from last night, which was purposefully reckless and designed to break bones, will likely only see a two game ban. What did Dan Smith get? 3 games for a ruined career?

Where are people’s priorities here? Broken bones are surely the priority? Genuinely reckless play is surely more of a footballing crime? Trying to break people’s careers should be the priority for mega punishments.

We get it all wrong when it comes to disgust. Spitting, a Western crime we deem worth of death penalty ressurection… But brutal behaviour is seen as part of the game. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Onto the football. I quite enjoyed the France vs Ecuador game. Montero, the Ecudorian wideman who plays for Vitesse looked like a prime candidate for a move to the Premier League. They had quite a few pacey powerful attackers. Their keeper Dominguez had a very solid game as well. The French should have won the game. Paul Pogba would have been the man of the match had his finishing boots been on. He’s a powerhouse midfielder with the brutality of Patrick Vieira but with the footwork of Thierry Henry. He’s such a dream player.

I think this World Cup has highlighted that there is clearly a lot of talent out there, you’ve just got to hunt outside the main leagues to pick them up.

Arsenal should have a more extended scouting network. We need to start shopping outside Spain, Germany and France if we want to pick up the bargain. Look in Eastern Europe, hunt around the back allies of South America, look more into the Dutch League. There’s great talent to be had everywhere, I don’t get why we have such a massive issues sourcing it these days… well, actually, I do know, our scouting network is as dated and backward as our fitness department has been.

Who is using that scouting software? Anyone? I’ve seen very little to suggest we have been. We should have someone on that fulltime making computer based recommendations.

Big man talk from Jack Wilshere.

“Time is running out for us to say we’re young any more. I’m 22. Ross [Barkley], Luke [Shaw] and Raheem [Sterling] are young players. They showed in the tournament what they can do. But in the next tournament, we really have to deliver. I think it is [a big year for me]. I’m not young any more. I’m going to be 23 in January and that’s a good age for a footballer. It’s a big season for me, it’s a big season for Arsenal. But at the moment, I’m devastated. I’ve got to try and get over this and then try to move on next season.”

He’s 23 in January, which is a great age to break into the big talent bracket. It’s a frank admission that’s laced with truth. He’s going to have to sort his head, he’s going to have to work hard and he’s going to have to make something of himself. That first starts with Arsenal managing his fitness. It should also start with Arsene deciding what his role is. I don’t think it’s communicated very well.

Hopefully, he makes it this year… I believe in you Jack!

On that klaxon call of positivity, I’m off. Have a great day.

USA USA USA USA!

It is in his blood, just like Suarez cannot help himself from biting people when they piss him off, Wenger cannot bring himself to spend any more than 16 million on any one player, even if Wenger had 600 million quid to spend on transfers, he would still buy Remy for 8 million quid, Wenger was gutted, sick in bed for a week when Chips Keswick spent 42.5 million quid on Ozil, absolutely GUTTED, in over 30 years this accountant, masquerading as a football manager, never spent more than 16 million quid on any one

And at 64 years old he is not about to START

  2. neil

It is no coincidence, that Spain, England, and Russia are out of the World Cup, look at the age of their managers

Del Bosque, 63, Roy Hodgson, 66, Capello, 68, these are dinosaurs, relics from the past, from a bygone era,

As Napoleon said, and I quote, there are no bad soldiers, JUST BAD GENERALS

  3. Bamford13

£30 million may be a lot of money for Luke Shaw, but United want to return to the top, they have ample funds and he is quite a good LB. So why not?

How many better available LBs are there? United like to attack via overlapping wide-backs, so it’s important this player have class. To me, it makes sense, even if he’s over-priced in an absolute sense.

To win titles today, you need to spend. Plain and simple. You may need to spend £30 mil on a quality wide-back. It seems insane, but it also looks like the cost of doing business these days. It’s not profligacy; it’s practicality.

Gary C – No one would complain if Wenger spent a lot of money. Our complaint is the opposite. What do I care if he spends £10 mil, £20 mil or £30 mil on an LB? I just want a class LB, not a decent or average one with limitations, as we often put up with.

It’s late, so I’m not making my point as well as I’d like, but my point is that one must spend these days to get top quality players. That’s just the way it works. If you want to save a buck, you can sign average players, like Giroud, Arteta, and Flamini.

  4. neil

I would like someone, anyone ,in this crazy world to try and explain to me how a 30 million quid fullback is going to win you the title, as Scholes said, that is what you pay for a top striker/ attacking midfielder to score 20+ goals a season

LVG is another chancer, manger of clubs that we all could have done well at, Barca, Bayern, Ajax, the Dutch National side, a fraud ,a belligerent fraud, this guy needed Van Persie and Robben to make him look good , LVG, sat on his arse most of the game against AUSTRALIA, the only time he got up is when Australia led 2-1, then this arrogant chinless wonder started to do something for his millions in salary, what a fucking chump, what a con man

  5. ikon

Remy would be a good buy at any price below 15 million….

But Sagna will need replacing… his header win % was out of this world… and so is Koscielny’s tackle success rate.

  6. Ashwin Gunner

So after weeks of nonsense about Baletolli and Sanchez to Arsenal. papers have finally realized it all bull Sh**T.

Now they claim Sanchez to Liverpool is nearly done. And Baletolli is not leaving Milan.

So Arsene Wenger is finally going to end up with Aurier and Remy.. SAd days.

Remy is not someone who can win us the title. Utd are going big… although they are paying outrageous amount of money for both Shaw and Herrera, we should atleast buy a WC striker. Not Remy FFS…

  7. Bamford13

    neil

Come on. That’s a silly argument. In itself, no, a LB is not going to win you a title. But it’s a very important position these days given the amount of work teams expect these players to do on both sides of the ball, and this is especially true of United, who like their wide-backs to attack.

Combine Shaw with a class CM and CB and a couple of good wide players, and United are back in business. Yes, it will cost a lot of money, but that’s how it works these days.

I find it a bit strange that someone who complains nightly of Wenger’s refusal to spend now has issues with United spending a bit on a quality left back. This is how one gets quality players, no?

  8. neil

Bamford, I know where you are coming from, Ferguson bought many titles, buying over the odds for the best talent available at the time, he raided West Ham, Leeds, Everton, to name a few, Ferdinand, Carrick, Rooney, Keane from Nottingham, Smalling from Fulham, Jones from Blackburn, Valencia from Wigan, SAF picked the eyes out of the best British talent, he made a winning career out of it

  9. graham

I think you summed it up In your last comment , all arsenal do now is buy average , ok yes we spent big on Ozil , but why not push on with more quality players , Arsenal could have won the league last season had they spent a little more on a new striker , every fan out there knew what was missing , except wenger . for a man who is supposed to be one of the best out there , he believed we had enough , unbelievable

  10. Ashwin Gunner

    neil

I agree. 30 mil. for a kid is completely waste.. I could care less what Man u are doing.

I am very very disturbed by the lack of activity in Arsenal. Aurier looks to be coming. but why did we blow up on the chase for a WC striker. what happened to Sanchez, what happened to Baletolli..

There is not a chance we can withstand top 4 this season if we dont buy. I really dont; expect Wenger to win any more PL titles because he simply doesnt have that hunger. but this time its difficult to stay even in top 4…….

  11. ikon

no reason can justify 30 million on Luke Shaw…
I say we can just get Remy, Aurrier, James Rodriguez and that Costa Rica defender

  12. Ashwin Gunner

All i see in the papers now a days is….

Arsenal set to miss out on….
    Arsenal transfer blow…..
Arsenal target wants to stay back…..
    Arsenal snubbed…………

    And finally
Arsenal sell their buy back clause………

  13. Simon McMahon

Good to see that the arsenal management team are working hard on making the squad stronger , using the same tactics as previous years …. Nothing !!!!

  14. Ken

Its still june Arsene is still on holiday have some patience when Arsene returns he will sign them up. All our rivals have signed average players for stupid money. Do you think the likes of Herrera, Shaw, Lambert would improve us? lol

  15. Dark Hei

    @Ashwin

Hmmm, regarding Sanchez, it is up to which newspaper you fancy. Ex Liverpool player claims that “deal” is done. Metro says our noses are up front. Truth is such news sells as evident by the fact that we both hear of it but it is probably all B grade entertainment for office hours.

My personal trick is that anything on Goal.com and Caughtoffside is automatically untrue. They are helpful when it comes to reducing the pool of possible targets.

  16. Ken

Mournho, LVG, Pellegrini, Rodgers all conman who try to buy titles. Arsene is clearly the best an actual manager who is world class .

  17. Ashwin Gunner

    Dark Hei

Can you tell me some dependable news papers.. i am sick of reading the insane ones.. I hear Telegraph and BBC are good. Do you know anything about them?? or any other paper…

  18. Ken

Guardiola is the biggest conman of all. Only manages the best team in the world wouldn’t have the balls to manage club like Arsenal.

  19. Ken

Guardiola will manage PSG next after they win CL and are the best team in the world. Just you watch complete fraud.

  20. Ken

    Neil

Are you crazy? 200m no Arsene doesn’t have that much. Pellegrini, Van Gaal, Moruinho the frauds certainly do

  21. Ashwin Gunner

    Ken

Mate.. doesn;t matter if AW is in holiday. Its not his job to tie up the deals his job is only to identify the targets. His resposisiblities end there.. Its up to his chief negotiator, Ivan and lawyers to get the deal done.

Now the accountablitlty either lies on these guys, or if Wenger is poking his nose in these deals then he should be held accountable for lack of activity.

Wenger should act when it is still time. I honesly dont thing Remy is going to win us title. by title I mean PL tiltle. Not top 4 trophy..

He has to be decisive and do good in transfer window to win something.

No point in showing your frustration on water bottle, when you are the reason for the entire collapse..

  22. Ken

    1) Do you want the clueless Gazidis to do transfers?
    2) How are we going to compete with crazy teams like City, Chelsea, United who have insane money?
    3) There is no wc striker available. Remy is certainly the best we can get.

  23. Dark Hei

    @Ashwin

BBC and ESPN are sound. But they do not have any sensationalised/imagined information.

Grimandi and Wenger have ruled out Balotelli (makes sense to me). But the Sanchez rumour probably is true as there is quite a bit of smoke around it with actual named sources.

I would have hoped that we have landed a RB and GK already. Let’s see what happens come next week.

Just like everyone else, Arsenal’s deafening silence gives drives me to footballing insecurities.

  24. Ashwin Gunner

    Ken

“Mournho, LVG, Pellegrini, Rodgers all conman who try to buy titles. Arsene is clearly the best an actual manager who is world class ”

ok let me try to reason with you.. I dont konw how it works in UK but i will still try to be reasonable

How much was a packet of salt 15 years ago??
    How much did sugar cost
What was the value of the land in which you are living some 20 years ago..

Have they increased??? Has the prices inflated. has the market value of every damn commodity gone up???

If you say No, then my argument ends here and there will be no further conversation.

If you say Yes, then think about it. World is full of people who pay to get services. If you dont some one else will. Its the same analogy here.
Players are commodities. you have to pay them to get good serivce.

How do you choose which brand of TV you want to buy, or a Telecom provider.

the most important thing people look out of is quality with good service. Customer satisfaction.

The more you pay, the better is the quality and better is the end service. As simple as that.

If you want services of best players you have to pay money..

    Made sense???

  25. Emiratesstroller

The point about Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd is that they have AMBITION.

They want to win the EPL and are investing in their teams. They PLAN.

Our Management led by Wenger sit on their ARSES hoping that before end of
transfer window they can pick up some BARGAINS to fill holes in our squad.

Our ambition is to finish in top 4. The bottom line is that we need a minimum of 5 new players to allow for departures and one would hope that those slotting into first team as regulars would be World Class.

At the moment I don’t see any movement whatsoever, because Arsenal will never spend more than what Wenger considers a player to be worth and his
ceiling is always at least 20-30% below what other clubs are willing to offer,
which is why he drops out of bidding as soon as there is competition.

  26. Ken

And won fuck all. Even though he had the best squad in the league he had to spend 100m and won it on the last day lol. DId fuck all in CL. Complete fraud. If Arsene had City’s squad he would have won the quadruple.

  27. Dark Hei

    Ken Guardiola ain’t no fraud.

His style is to play with a high backline and squeeze the life out of the match. That is his signature. Dortmund is famous for their pressing game but if you ask me, and we played them both over 2 legs last season, Bayern’s pressing squeeze is just out of this world.

Don’t let Bayern’s collapse last season fool you. His team simply peaked too early. He might have talented players on his roster but his ability to coax that kind of work rate out of Ribery is outstanding.

  28. Klauspoppe

    Ken

Like Arsene has the man management skills to control ego maniacs lol

First thing he does, he will sell any trouble makers regardless of how good they are and promote from Manc academy which shits all over ours now.

  29. Ken

Anyone remember Nick Powell, Zaha? two promising talent who we were after. What happened to them now? If thy had signed for Arsenal they would be top players. Not only do these clubs spend insane money but they destroy players

  30. Ken

Scott Sinclair, Jack Rodwell? What happened to them? Two promising players. Surely Pellegrini the great coach lol should have coached to them be good players but no Mr Fraud did fuck all

  31. Ashwin Gunner

“. If Arsene had City’s squad he would have won the quadruple.”

LOL… Unfortuantley he will never have a squad like city. because he doesn;t like spneding.

One more thing. All the managers whom you mentioned. are all earning less compared to Mr Wenger, and they still win..

Whereas Wenger cares only about how deep his pocket is and gives a damn about the club or the players.

It is making more sense to me why all WC players have left is throughout all these years. All of them had one thing in common. They all said Arsenal doesn;t have ambition.. In fact , they actually meant Arsene doesn;t have ambition to win anything. Just stay at top 4?

I mean he is been achieving top 4 for like last 9 years… Where is the value add???

In my line of business if I dont achieve my target or have value add , i am out… Why is Wenger’s job still safe????

  32. Nasri's Mouth

£30m for Shaw would be fine if he’s the finished product. He’s probably going to be the Ashley Cole of his generation. £160k/wk is a lot, but with the amount of extra cash splashing around in the league now, it wont be that excessive in a year or so.

But for me, he’s still the 3rd / 4th best English LB and he’s not going to reach his best for a couple of years. For me, if you’re spending £30m on a LB, you should be getting a player who is at the top of his game NOW

  33. Ken

Guardiola the idiot sold Gustavo, played the best RB in world at CM, benched Martinez, brought Thiago when there was no need, marginalized Mandzukic because of his weird hatred of strikers with personality to question him, made Gotze average, destroyed Schweinstiger, Martinez partnership, made them defensively shit and the best of all Thomas Muller lol was not starting. Fraud

  34. Ashwin Gunner

“Anyone remember Nick Powell, Zaha? two promising talent who we were after. What happened to them now? If thy had signed for Arsenal they would be top players. Not only do these clubs spend insane money but they destroy players”

Really??? Lets look back at our own club.

Ashravin, Wilshsere, Cazrola, Theo, Ox and many others have regressed and their progress has stopped under Arsene. They have never been able to fully utilize their talent.

Apart from RVP, CESC and now RAMSEY i dont see anybody progressing under Arsene.

  35. Nasri's Mouth

Ashwin Gunner: LOL… Unfortunately he will never have a squad like city. because he doesn’t like spending

While we’ve got a lot of money in the bank, we haven’t got THAT much!

  36. Ashwin Gunner

“While we’ve got a lot of money in the bank, we haven’t got THAT much!”

Agree. but enough for us to stand up to the other teams. Enough for us not get spanked 6-0. Enough for us to build a WC team.

City have surplus money. We have just the money we need. but we are not utilizing it..

  37. Dark Hei

Guys, this whole debate about Wenger and $$ is so 2013. Let’s move on from this.

The current Arsenal has $$. That much is certain after the Ozil signing. It is not just the transfer fee, I am sure Ozil’s pay slip is impressive.

I don’t we are so loaded as to go ballistic like United. But we can certainly be a lot more decisive like Chelsea or City (who BTW haven’t spent a truckload of $$ this window)

  38. Klauspoppe

Felipe Luiz, Lahm (he can play anywhere) are the top bracket.

Azpilicueta, Alaba, Alba, Marcelo cone close.

Baines is so limited. Everton play to his strengths as his crossing is ridiculous.

Shaw isn’t far off Alaba or Alba. Last 6 months he was a complete beast and considering his progress will be the next Cole in a year or two.

  39. Nasri's Mouth

Ashwin Gunner: Ashravin, Wilshsere, Cazrola, Theo, Ox and many others have regressed and their progress has stopped under Arsene. They have never been able to fully utilize their talent.

    Er…. sorry, but that’s bollocks

  40. Ashwin Gunner

    Ken

You are talking about all the managers. Who gives a damn about them.
Talk about Arsene. why are not talking about his shortcomings. He aint; perfect. is he ??

  41. Ken

Without any injuries we would have won the league last season and had the double. The injuries cost us 20 points atleast. Arsene is an amazing manager.

  42. Emiratesstroller

Wenger does not need to spend obscene money on unproven players, but I expect him to plan his transfers better than he does.

Arsenal appear to be linked to almost every player on the planet who seems remotely half decent or in some cases mediocre.

The problem is that Wenger is so slow in making up his mind that we land up buying none. There have been too many occasions when we have gone into a
season knowing what we need but doing nothing about it.

For as start we knew that we needed replacements for Van Persie and Song over two years ago!

  43. Klauspoppe

Blind was originally a RB. Followed the same progress Lahm is going through now.

Injury to Aguero, Silva and Kompany cost Man City 20 points. Pellegrini could of got a 100 points. So unlucky

  44. Nasri's Mouth

Ashwin Gunner: Agree. but enough for us to stand up to the other teams. Enough for us not get spanked 6-0. Enough for us to build a WC team.

Possibly, though for me the 6-0 was more about attitude and tactics. There were plenty of other teams that didn’t get spanked 6-0.

The question though was how well would Wenger do with ManC’s squad.

Given that he’s always matched his overall spend with league position, if he has the most expensive squad, it’s a fair assumption to say he’d come top.

  45. Dark Hei

    @Ashwin

Theo has improved tremendously. Anyone can see that. Credit to Wenger for forcing Theo to up his technique instead of just relying on his speed. Remember Owen, the bloke who turns 30 at the tender age of 24?

Carzola is doing ok in my books. It is the squad that isn’t balanced with the right proportion of runners.

OX has improved, despite the injuries. Wilshire seems to be in a Ramsey-like learning curve.

Arshavin turned out to be a Wenger dud. Not a real dud but never fulfilled his potential here.

  46. Ashwin Gunner

    “Er…. sorry, but that’s bollocks”

    🙂

Wilshere was supposed to be the next best thing in England. Sure injuries hampere him. but now neither he nor Arsene knows his best position.

Theo after sooooo many years is still progressing.

Ox was the wonderkid we signed. didn; we.. Three years on.. he is still not a starter

Cazrola is a WC talent who Arsene is mis managing. He is being played in Wings when his best position is behind the striker. buy a bloody winger and rotate Ozil and Cazrola.

Ashravin was WC player when he came in… do you think he was the same when he left.

🙂 You are still entitiled to have your opinion.

  47. Klauspoppe

If the English media weren’t hateful of Suarez and he could of got away with at least 10 penalties as the ref give benfot of doubt to superstars. Shame Suarez could pf got 40 goals and wrapped up the league in March…

  48. Nasri's Mouth

EmiratesStroller: Arsenal appear to be linked to almost every player on the planet who seems remotely half decent or in some cases mediocre.

Not much of that is Arsenal’s doing though. Agents, media, other clubs.

The truth is Arsenal won’t be interested in the vast majority of players who are linked to us.

IE, we were linked to Coleman a couple of weeks ago. And now he signs a new contract with Everton. Chances are, his agent leaked, (made it up) that we were interested to get a better deal for his client.

  49. Ken

Aguero hype is hilarious did fuck all at WC, CL like that his other mate Higuain. 2012-13 season fuck all as well. He has neved scored more than 20 pl goals in Pl but is world class. Silva nothing in CL, WC. Kompany is an accident witing happen every mistake he did was blamed on Demichelis who is better than this guy. No chance would they got 100 points.

  50. Klauspoppe

“Cazrola is a WC talent who Arsene is mis managing. He is being played in Wings when his best position is behind the striker. buy a bloody winger and rotate Ozil and Cazrola.”

Thank god I’m not alone on this.

  51. Ashwin Gunner

“If we had our squad fit last year we would have wrapped up the league by April.”

Yea.. And Arsene thought he could play the same 14 players throughout the year and win the league. but in reality he had a thin squad. and his lack of activity on the transfer window was th reason we blew up the title charge..

Dont you see anything wrong with the man??

  52. Nasri's Mouth

    @Ashwin Gooner

How do you know Wenger doesn’t know Wilshere’s best position? Do you talk to him regularly?

Walcott HAS improved, (in fact you’ve just admitted it) if nothing else his stats show that. To say he’s regressed is bs.

Ox is improving too. Which is why he went to the WC!

Cazorla starts wide because Ozil is in the middle, but if you actually watch they exchange positions anyway.

The only person to blame for Arshavin’s fall is Arshavin. Funnily enough when he left us he was still fat and lazy, fancy that ?

Just think about what you post before you do it next time

  53. Klauspoppe

“Naah. mate you are not.. but we both might the only two on this :)”

I think Cazorla should start ahead of Ozil. I know for sure I’m alone on this.

  54. Ashwin Gunner

“Draxler said he wanted to stay. So blame Draxler not Arsene. He was willing to spend 40m on him.”

Ok. Draxler thing blew off.. So what. was that the end of the world. Why was there not a contingency plan.. why were other targets not identified. In the end we loaned a 31 year old with a broken back.. That is the most stupid transfer ever in the history of football.

  55. peanuts&monkeys

No fucking movement on the transfer front. Absolutely no interest to get top players, OR any players for that matter. Zero Ambition. Fucking bastards making the club sterile.

4th again! Good Luck Arsenal loser fans.

  56. Dark Hei

“Cazrola is a WC talent who Arsene is mis managing. He is being played in Wings when his best position is behind the striker. buy a bloody winger and rotate Ozil and Cazrola.”

His best position is indeed behind the striker. But he isn’t playing as a winger either. He frequently cuts into the middle to play passes forward. It is not his first responsibility to get to the end of passes or crosses.

In fact we do not play with any true wingers. We play a midfielder and an inside forward on the wings.

  57. Ken

And the players didn’t help him last year with no winning mentality.

    a) blow up between Per and Sanogo
    b) Ozil not suppoorting fans after games and not caring more about perception of his attitude
    c) Giroud mindset clearly not on game only as he is partying with models in hotels just hours before important matches. then he tweets repeatedly about his personal life before big games.
    d) Bentdner, after actually being given a chance, saunders off and is partying in Denmark
    e) Woj taking a selfie after the Tottenham game and posting it on twitter shows a lack of focus and professionalism
    f) Wilshere’s incidents while minor by themselves contribute to a sense of lack of team focus
    g) Ox and Cazorla recently looking arsed and making lazy passes
    h) Flamini having issues earlier with things like shirt policy (admiettedly an outdated policy but still) and doesn’t seem to really respect Wenger’s rules as much as you would like to see in a returning vet who was here 4-5 years already

  58. Leedsgunner

Apparently United has Shaw now at their training ground undergoing a medical. I agree with Nasri’s Mouth — at £30m though? I suppose they’re banking on him becoming a superstar and not having to buy in that position for the next 12 years. I personally would have bought Ricardo Rodriguez for that amount of money more of a finished product…

Apparently Vidal is available for £30m. NOW there’s a player. I would love to see him in Arsenal colours… plus Sanchez. Unlikely but it would thrust us back into the big leagues! I can’t see why Juve would sell him though!!!

  59. Ken

If a 19 year old unproven kid when offered thrice his wages wouldn’t come who the fuck would during WC year?

  60. Ashwin Gunner

“How do you know Wenger doesn’t know Wilshere’s best position? Do you talk to him regularly?”

    Yea. i do… 🙂

“Walcott HAS improved, (in fact you’ve just admitted it) ”

    Where exactly did i admit

“if nothing else his stats show that. To say he’s regressed is bs.”

All i said was he is taking tooooo long for progressing. Read my post first before you start on your keyboard.

“Ox is improving too. Which is why he went to the WC! ”

Hmmm.. I said he was the next best thing.. but he is not a starter at Arsenal yet..

“The only person to blame for Arshavin’s fall is Arshavin. Funnily enough when he left us he was still fat and lazy, fancy that ?”

Oh really. then that is an attitude problem.. Funnily enough Arsene who looks at players with microscopic lens failed to see his attitude issues. Or you mean to say he developed them after he joined Arsenal??

“Just think about what you post before you do it next time”

🙂 You can choose to ignore mate.. I am just saying my opinion. If you dont agree you can argue or debate. or if you dont want to then ignore..

  61. Dark Hei

    @Klauspoppe

Carzola can play in the mid. But will you do so if I tell you that Ozil is actually very athletic. Ozil can be fast, remember that sprint to the box, headed goal? (Assisted by a Giroud lob) He is much faster than Carzola and can become a goal threat if Wenger can tuition some Fabregasness unto him.

  62. Klauspoppe

Backline dont care as LB has always been the weak link which everyone conveniently ignores.

    Vidal Arteta
    Ramsey Ozil Cazorla
    New ST

This would make me happy with Walcott, Rosicky, Giroud and a young W/F.

  63. Klauspoppe

    Dark hei

Yeah even yesterday Ozil with the ball was really quick.

Cazorla is a better dribbler and can retain the ball better while waiting for an opening.

  64. Ken

    We didn’t need Fabrecunt

Pellegrini with his unlimited money couldn’t get Fernando. He isn’t even in Brazil team and not reallly proven in a good league.

    No blame to Arsene

  65. Ashwin Gunner

“In fact we do not play with any true wingers. We play a midfielder and an inside forward on the wings.”

Yea.. that is what we should not be doing. Play players in the position they are best at and we will see the results. Like Ramsey. he was BS on the wings. but he is a best when played as midfielder.. the same goes with every player..

  66. Klauspoppe

Vidal Ramsey Ozil Cazorla can each grab 8-12 goals a season easy.

Vidal Ramsey and Ozil make great movement to run behind the defence. If everyone though Ramsey was breathtaking, Vidal will stop your heart.

  67. Ken

Giroud has scored the same league goals as Aguero for last 3 seasons. If Aguero is world class so is Giroud.

  68. Klauspoppe

    Paulinho is in Brazil Ken

I’m sure Arsene doesnt care about the World Cup. He’s there to help unfortunate Brazilian kids and play some beach football with them.

What do you take the man for..

  69. Ken

    Aguero with 40m and 200k/w

Giroud with 10m and 50k/w as given the same return as Aguero

This is why Arsene is genius

  70. Ken

Paulinho is shit if Fernando can’t even get ahead of him no need bothering. Aguero got divorced and Maronda said he had no balls lol

    11/12

    Aguero 23 goals 10 assists
    Giroud 21 goals 12 assists

    12/13

    Aguero 12 goals 3 assists
    Giroud 11 goals 5 assists

    13/14

    Aguero 17 goals 10 assists
    Giroud 16 goals 9 assists

    Arsene is a genius

  71. Ken

Arsenal ‘set to make £44m bid for Arturo Vidal’- Metro

WTF Klaus was wanking over this guy right now

  72. Ashwin Gunner

    Name ————-Goals——-goals per 90 mins —–SPG—–Shots on target%
    Sergio Agüero–13—————-1.04———————-4.77——50.00%
    Olivier Giroud –7—————-0.48———————-7.86——30.91%

Aguero is in 2nd postion. and Giroud is in 12 th postion..

    Ramsey is in 9th…

Check Shots on target and goals per 90 min stats..

Augero and Giroud are leagues apart

  73. Ken

Still better than Pellegrini spending 30m and 200k/w for a guy who can’t even stay fit for a game in Jovetic lol

  74. Dark Hei

    @Klaus
Lol. I haven’t seen anyone who can ping football better than Carzola. He can literally play a 1-2 with himself.

    @Ashwin
The answer is both yes and no. We need width. It can come anywhere, forwards, full backs etc. It does not have to be strictly from the “wings” position.
We need something on the left to unleash Gibbs. Our attack went towards the right far too often last season. Sagna, is ok going forward but not fantastic.

  75. Ken

How do we know maradona didn’t father is own grand child? He did say Aguero had no balls is with 20 year old

  76. Ashwin Gunner

“We need something on the left to unleash Gibbs. Our attack went towards the right far too often last season. Sagna, is ok going forward but not fantastic”

Yea. I agree. If we get a proper LW who can do defensive duties and cover for Gibbs then it would be the best.

Aurier seems to be a very good player. He is a perfect or probably more than perfect replacment for Sagna.. He is very good going forward and is pacey enough to fall back during counter attacks.

  77. Ashwin Gunner

“How do we know maradona didn’t father is own grand child? He did say Aguero had no balls is with 20 year old”

    What are you talking now??

You started the discussion comparing Arsene to every other manager in the world.
Then you turned your attention to Pellegrini and his players.
Then you went behind Augero and Giroud.
Now you are talking very unrelated stuff about Augero.

You have nothing left to talk about football or Arsene do you??

  78. Ken

Arsene did compliment him during the spain chile match . Something like all the top teams are in for him , vidal has ran a marathon today, he stops play very well and gives alot if fouls but That’s because he plays in italy and soo onn. Wait isn’t it what Arteta is blamed for giving lot of fouls?

  79. Ken

Aguero is out of WC. Whats the point of giving him 200k/w if he is not going to be fit half the season. Give me Giroud over him anyday.

  80. zaco

arguero is out of the round of 16 but will be fit enough to play in subsequent matches if argentina progresses

  81. Dark Hei

    @Ash
Personally I am disappointed with Podolski last season. He was supposed to be our talisman, our answer to RVP (his volley is just as good I think) but he just does not seem to work out now.
Early last season he was key to unleashing Gibbs. Now he just seems to disappear at times.

    @Ken
Settle down. You might be an AKB, but someone with higher authority than you has indicated that while Arteta is good, Arsenal can do better. Than person is the “A” in the AKB and those links to Gustavo and Bender aren’t fake.

  82. MoDeerow

Morning Grovers! Arsenal transfer targets are dropping like soldiers in Normandi 😀 At this pace we’ll be happy if we have any new players by august.

And ITS OFFICIAL ITS MORE LIKELY TO GET BITTEN BY SUAREZ THAN A SHARK 😀

  83. Ken

    ONE ARSENE ONE ARSENE
    ONE ARSENE WENGER
    THERE’S ONLY ARSENE WENGER
THERE GREATEST MANAGE IN THE HISTORY FOR FOOTBALL

  84. Nasri's Mouth

    @Ashwin Gooner

If you’re going to troll, you need to get your story straight

    First you post this:

Ashravin, Wilshsere, Cazrola, Theo, Ox and many others have regressed and their progress has stopped under Arsene.

Then when I call you out on it you say this:

Theo after sooooo many years is still progressing.

And then when I say you admitted you got it wrong about Theo you post this:

“All i said was he is taking tooooo long for progressing. Read my post first before you start on your keyboard.”

Which is funny because once again, your first post was:

“Ashravin, Wilshsere, Cazrola, THEO, Ox and many others have regressed and their progress has stopped under Arsene.”

So to sum up, the only person who didn’t read your post was YOU!

  85. Ken

Arsene is a hero. If it weren’t for him we would be midtable club. All you who want him are a bunch of wankers.

  86. Nasri's Mouth

Dark hei: Lol. I haven’t seen anyone who can ping football better than Carzola. He can literally play a 1-2 with himself.

The way he knocks the ball from left foot to right foot and back again, making defenders go the wrong way is almost unique. I’m struggling to think of another player who does that in a similar fashion as much

  87. Ken

Do you think any other wanker could have built the stadium and still had us competing with no money? You twats who want Arsene out are insane

  88. Nasri's Mouth

Leedsgunner: I can’t see why Juve would sell him though!!!

Unless he’s pushing for a move, neither can I.

  89. Ken

You cunts are so insane that you wanted him sacked for not signing Fabrecunt when we had shitloads of attacking midfielders

  90. Ken

Where are all wankers wanking over Klopp? He couldn’t keep his best player, and the replacements have now turned out to be shit.

  91. zaco

    Nasri’s Mouth June 27, 2014 08:20:32
Wenger has done a relatively good job in some areas, but he’s not perfect

no one is saying he is perfect but some people in here tend to paint the man as a failure which he is not, if you ask me i will say he has over achieved when you consider the circumstances (budget wise) under which he is working.

  92. Ken

Man U sign two unproven players for stupid money and Wenger is to blame for cancer. Typical of you twats.

  93. Ashwin Gunner

    Ken

Yes ken. We all agree. Giroud is the best striker World has ever seen and Wenger is the best manager to have ever shit in this world. 🙂

Ok.. now get ready. you are getting late for school..

  94. Klauspoppe

    NM

Cazorla is the most two footed player in the history of the game. He’s right footed but still crosses with his left when hes on the left side.

Thouhht arshavin was special but Cazorla is on another dimension.

  95. Nasri's Mouth

    @ashwin gunner

I don’t think it has slowed to be honest, the season before last, his stats were pretty damn good really. Even last season he showed exactly what we were missing when he was injured.

People got carried away when we first signed him, thinking he was going to be some superstar like Ronaldo. Don’t think that was ever going to happen.

  96. jules

Guys. Am I right in thinking if we are actually( hopefully) signing anyone, it wouldn’t happen until July 15th when the new Puma kit is announced? ie . Why unveil new signings in Nike kit when we will have a new kit next season. Here’s hoping that is the case and deals are being done but won’t be announced until then??

  97. Nasri's Mouth

    @Ashwin

Season before last, he was scoring or assisting once every 84 mins in the league.

over his entire Arsenal career, it’s one per 138 mins.

Now, stats don’t show the whole story obviously, but that’s not only a decent amount, but also a big improvement.

  98. Ashwin Gunner

I think New Puma kit is to be announced on 10th July.

Window officially opens on 1st. Players can very welll complete medical and sign the dotted line. Photo op can be done on 10th…

  99. Nasri's Mouth

I doubt it’s got anything to do with Puma. We wouldn’t be able to keep completed deals quiet, and other clubs would soon get pissed off with us if we kept them hanging on for a reason like that.

Suspect it’s just the way we’re doing business.
