It’s not Roy…

Super short post today because I hit the big 30 and Arsene Wenger has just given me the bad news on my new deal… it’s rolling pay as a play.

That man is a total joke…

England are now officially out of the World Cup. I find this sad, but not unexpected.

What is interesting is how much of an easy ride Roy Hodgson has been getting through this whole thing. It’s like nothing is his responsibility. Really can’t buy into the ‘shit happens’ line of investigation. Ultimately, if Mourinho was in charge of that bunch of players, would we be out now? No, we wouldn’t.

That said, there are some hilarious articles around the place. Reading Alan Hansen’s take down of a system he thinks cannot be fixed.

Righto Alan, England can never fix their football. Loads of money, loads of people and we’re the only country that can’t make it work. What an absolute tool.

Anyway, I can support Iran today as they take on Argentina in what is going to be a massive feast of exciting football. I’m expecting big things from Reza HAGHIGHI, one of my heroes. So let’s see how country number two goes from a support perspective.

This really is going to be short. I’m off to brutalise myself in a pub.

HAVE A GREAT DAY. x

    Ggirl –
Welcome to my world. Lol. Picked 4 scorelines in a row early in the tournament. Lately, been not so good. I’m not looking at gambling account till end of tournament to see how I did.

MidwestGun – Do you know much about how the momentum against him built up ? I watched the documentary ages ago, I thought the cubs were up like 8-1 or something and just collapsed, made me hate the way everyone turned on, he’s one fan and theres these cubs players on millions of dollars, also Wilbon rinsed him on PTI, and I usually like him.

Someone mentioned the commentators on the American broadcast a little earlier. I must say I like the two doing this game (Efan Ekoku and Derek Rae i believe). Very knowledgeable, unbiased, good job overall.

It was a good question to ask I can’t be the only one who has wondered how others found and fell in love with arsenal.

I was born in hackney but raised for a few years in islington I never had a choice who to support everyone of my mates and my immediate family support arsenal… So it was never a conscious decision.

    Keyser –
Thats it really. The momentum switch horribly against the Cubs after that play. So fans blamed him for switching momentum. Media likes a good conspiracy. Wilbon is a big Cubs fan so is a bit biased on that incident.

    Cool london

Didn’t say u were said the comment was boris ish …. No harm done .

Out of all the Tories boris comes across all clumsy and adorable

Lol yeah I think that’s a good idea. That way it could either be a pleasant surprise or not

I would say the Ghana 2010 team was there strongest and most disciplined. I would say this Nigerian side should be playing better than they are. As a collective in regards to how they play, Ghana are the better team. However they are in a harder a group.

Yes the Nigeria 90’s team was great but what does have to do with this current conversation?

MidwestGun – I dunno if you watched the 30 for 30, but it seemed sick, there’s the video of him sitting in the front row, and Bartmans got headphones on, and he’s not quite aware of what’s going on around him and there’s some twat in the background, a few rows back, who chucks his beer at him.

That much hate, and the documentary made it out like no-one really stood up for him in the media ? To go into hiding, and not only that, remain such a fan that you refuse to comment on it even for a documentary years later.

Luso American here and rooting for Portugal tonight.
Easy to do when the media here is saturated with idiots that educate more idiots.

I for one grew up on football. Followed the portugese liga here in the states with help from my grandfather and father.
Started watching the Epl when it first got her in the late 90s and was hooked.

Arsenals style of run and gun was a breath of fresh air at the time. Easy to like and eventually love.

    Straw man argument?
Yours seems the more likely a straw man.
List a bunch of teams the US has beat lately?
    What relevance does that have?

It’s obvious to the cool, logical head that ESPN and that no talent idiot Lalas is over selling this team of serious nobodies. It’s obvious in what is not said that the cool aid has been drunk.
Why else would you call a team full of Champions League winners (some multiple) ‘prima donnas’

Sounds like all that hype and emotion and not an ounce of reason.

It’s funny because Klinsmann knows it.
The American home grown players have zilch as far as champions league/ world class experience so he had to call up a bunch of Germans with American passports and left the USA’s
So called greatest player at home.

I’m not sure what team you watched but even though they won, they still got out classed and by Ghana.

That win was pure luck. I doubt it will happen again.

Typical mentality. I bet you believe everything faux news tells you too.
    Lol.

Btw. You can kiss my ass. This blog is not yours exclusively to tell who to ‘Eff off’
Because they’re opinions differ from yours.

I think I’ll stick around until Pedro tells me otherwise.
    Typical ‘midwest’ attitude.
    Grow up dude.

    Gustav-
The relevance is that all the teams I listed are in the tournamemt and we have beaten them recently. Nobody and I mean nobody on here thinks the US are awesome at football. You were just looking to pick a fight and try to prove some sort of agenda. Like you are somehow high and mighty and know all. Yes, you are soooo Above the media. Twat.

You can have whatever opinion you want but don’t start a comment by stating something nobody believes. And then tell us how cool you are by not believing it.
Anyhow, enjoy your arrogance. I’m off to watch my shit team at the bar.

  19. Nasri's Mouth

Lukaku still working hard I see.

One more performance like that and his transfer value will be so low any one will be able to afford him

There could be as many as three African teams qualifying for the last sixteen.
There could also be three CONCACAF teams qualifying.
    Wow.

I have to say tho, the comment section feels a lot more refreshing now with goonergirl commenting. I never thought I’d see it. Maybe now you all can lay off your gayy-laden jokes

I work with a Portuguese girl who’s got the greatest ass I’ve ever seen and I’ll be watching the game with her so I hope Portugal win … but I am secretly rooting for USA.

  23. kwik fit

It seems that all the girls are rooting for Portugal because of ‘ the stud’ Ronaldo , while all the boys are for the USA for exactly the same reason.

    Bamford/ Wenger Eagle/ Nasri Mouth

Never said those list of players were realistic did I?

What I meant by that list was that we will only win major honours under Wenger with a team of WC superstars… Think Thierry Pires, Bergkamp, Viera ashley cole ect… of course Wengers teams also had solid players who weren’t that standard but by in large we were pretty damn world class side.

Now factor in Gaitan and Ox Coleman and Giroud Schnerdlin

Yes a nice little side no doubt but title winning? Certainly not with Wenger out the helm his not tactically astute enough Wenger needs players like Theirry who can basically conjure up moments of individual magic that win games of course there was a great team play but I would say allot of that was down to the WC football minds of some of the players such as Bergkamp and Pires.

I just don’t see how a first team of a promising OX whose yet to score over 10 goals in a season, Gaitan a really neat player but from a weak league and Right back in coleman whose a solid player but his no way the best RB in the league that goes to Zaballata also his played out his skin this season but his playing above his natural level abit like baines last season! Now compare Baines this season still a solid player no doubt but hardly amazing!

Schnerdlin is great but first team? Not a chance in a top side he should be the rotation option.

Maybe if we had a very tactically astute manager like Mourinho the side Bamford listed is title winning MAYBE? but compare that Man City’s squad and Chelsea is arguably allot weaker than compare managers… I think you get my point now

May be I am being negative but I honestly don’t think we will win titles with Schnder and Gaitan not because they aren’t good players but because Wenger has never won serious trophies without WC players.

Last time we won the league we had thierry, bergkamp and pires viera

I am think a manager like mourinho or fergie could win titles with gaitan ect but not Wenger his always needed incredibly superstar like players who can individually change a game yet work amazing in a team.

Then you have to factor in while we have gaitan and
