Protest for Wenger sacking | Arsenal Suarez move saga continues…

by & filed under News Review.

I will not use Twitter to set up protests

Morning people. I’ve a mad morning on, so this will be quicker than an Benik Afobe substitute appearance.

Things appear to be moving on in the Liverpool prisoner of football scandal. They’ve lodged a bid of £21m for Diego Costa. Where did they get the money from for that? Hmmm…

I’m guessing he’s a Suarez replacement. Just a guess of course, but Liverpool aren’t in a financial position to be purchasing £20m players without an injection of debt. Remember, this is the team that spent the early summer PRing the story that Kolo was a world class addition.

They bought Kolo… That’s how skint they are!

So, take that move as a positive. Does that mean they’ll take our offer? Not if Madrid bid. That’s looking very unlikely. For me, Arsenal have backed themselves into a very horrible corner. Outside Suarez and Rooney, there’s no one left.

Good news is Luis wants to join. We just need to up our offer. The way the summer is going, I wouldn’t be surprised if we went to £50m to save face. Because believe me… the fans won’t tolerate another embarrassing transfer window. Nor will the players. Ivan should just tell Wenger to do one if he’s holding up the deal based on value… as Amy Lawrence and Myles Palmer are suggesting .

Ivan and Dick Law should take a list from Wenger and make it happen. The idea a man stuck in 1996 has the final say so on what we bid is perplexing. He’s not in the right decade mentally to judge what a player is worth these days… unless he’s screwing a club. That’s not a skill is it? Well it is, but it’s one that is very hit and miss. The skill with top end managers is taking a high risk punt and making it work. Not buying in 5 players on the last day of a window in the hope two might make it.

I’ve heard rumblings of a Wenger Our protest going on at the start of the season. Quite ridiculous for so many reasons. Here they are. And please, remember, I’ve always been anti protest and anti banner. And also remember, we started the questioning of Wenger long before anyone else dared…

Protests and the issues…

1) The CEO doesn’t sack the manager. The owner does. The owner is infatuated with Wenger.
2) You don’t cave to mob rule in business. Especially when the mob is unlikely to escape out of cyber space onto the street. Twitter is all talk.
3) Our window to part ways with Wenger ended 2 months ago.
4) You don’t sack a manager two weeks before the start of a year. An outrageous suggestion put forward by people with a total misunderstanding of the game. Not even Madrid would be so foolish.
5) We’re not Geordie fans. Protesting with your shirts off is for people without employment.

Like it or lump it, the only way Wenger goes is on his own accord. At the end of the season. After ballsing up.

Also, there is a £40m bid for Suarez on the table. That works out, which I suspect it will, are we really not going to wait and see how that pans out? Wenger is fine by me, despite the flaws, if he spends some f*cking money. The transfer window isn’t over yet… I know we’ve heard that before, but we’ve never bullied a club with a mega money bid before.

I’m all for change. I’ve banged the drum for years along with plenty of the Grovers. Everyone knows the managers limitations but a sacking protest before the charity shield? Smacks of dimness of the highest order…

Right, that’s me done. Most clubs are back in the UK now. I’m getting excited. In ways no man on a packs 35 bus should.

Have a good day!

Reading on newspaper roundup on sky sports app this morning and everyone is being linked with players. Man U, Liverpool, spurs Newcastle, the list goes on. Then right at the bottom, ‘Arsene Wemger insists he would be happy going into the season with his current squad’. Fucking ridiculous.

  2. Arsenalone

The flip side to AW not signing any new players is we will fail, and the manager will lose he’s job.

If we go in to the new season with the current squad we won’t make 4th place

  3. vee

It is funny when other managers are asking for money to bring in players arsenal board doing the opposite, wenger will be remember for trophy he won not how much money he save .
He making my beloved team a laughing stuff with no point of argument in the pub fool

  4. William

Wenger has been too much time ,repeat too much time to turn things round and has failed. This shd his final season in charge and if the gunners can’t compete with or without new players being bought,he shdgo,Otherwise Arsenal risk the brand name being brought down to the level of the mid table teams.
    I hope I am wrong .

  5. Goonerfied85

    Morning all,

Shit weather for a shit day of no transfer movement.

As much as I am frustrated with the club for the lack of activity/ signings I will hold off judgement until the window closes.

I know by then it will be too late but I also think if Wenger has not made signings of intent & world class stature then he would have put himself into a position where he will have to go at the end of the season.

Here’s to hoping Gooners, the time for patience is almost up & the day of reckoning is fast approaching.

Why do the comments never seem to be related in any way to the article?

Good article by the way. Thanks for writing it.

  7. Rich

Myles Palmer is full of shit with his “Exclusives”
I’m still confident the club will get 3 top signings in.
It does look like Suarez or bust as a striker
    A wide left forward
    and a Midfielder

  8. bishop

like giroud is quality. we only have cazorla and koss as the quality that surely will ruin us completely if injured. The rest are just normal players to me.

same ol shit..different day…how does wenger and co live day to day inflicting pains on us fans this way.beyond me

  9. Ramsey's backpass

    Yeah pedro

    let me rephrase

“the manager shouldnt be sacked during pre-season..lets wait till the season starts before we talk of sacking.”

How dumb..i honestly dont know what has happened to you or maybe gazidis has got you in one horrible spot.

C’mon, there is absolutely no logic to what you are suggesting.

Even after coming out with “this season would be different” rubbish, you now claim its wrong to protest before the season start.really…WTF?

just go and soak your head in a river nearby.

  10. Bergkamp63

Some of us are actually hoping he signs nobody,

More money for a proper Manager next year when the club has been fattened up for a whopping sale at the end of the season.

  11. Demostines

Good article, Arsene is clearly flawed in some ways, but throwing him out now would be a kamikaze action. For all the Michael Laudrups there are 5 Brendan Rodgers ….can you imagine…

  12. Roger And Out

This pessimist, still-living-in-1998 manager must move on, to another club. It’s been years since we managed to put on a title-challenging squad on the pitch. If Wenger can’t make up his mind on getting the “right” players to strengthen the club, then he must move on, even if there’re 2 weeks before kick off. Better now than later. Hey, even Southampton and Swansea are signing quality players, why can’t we? Perhaps the main problem is Wenger himself. No wonder RVP, Henry, Vieira and Cesc leaves, those players want to win titles while this so-called “legendary” manager is using his club to make money for himself and the people who loves him.

  13. @kpesiri

At this stage and still with no major signing is ridiculous…. We are playing too many games for a club who should be nursing (titles) ambition. With the ambition we have shown so far, the only trophy wenger plans on winning is the carling cup..and 4th place. Only Suarez(whom we are yet to get) can not win us the champions league(or shouldn’t that be part of our ambition)… Wenger and his team are hopeless IMO.

  14. Bergkamp63

    Ian Wright:

“I would like to see them go as far as they can to get Suarez, but they can’t just buy him and not replenish the rest of the team. I think they need a goalkeeper, two centre-halves, two full-backs – for both left-back and right-back positions – another midfielder and two strikers.

That sounds about right to me, 8 first team players needed.

  15. The Yes Man

I also don’t want Wenger to go and unlike you lot, have plenty of respect for our current lot who ended last season on a high – and one hell of a roll. I think our current lot is a great bunch and if we sign Suarez, who is very good, will that make everybody feel better 6 games later?

  16. gambon

Our revenue is likely to hit £295m this season.

As of May we wouldve had £180m in the bank,

If we dont sign anyone, its safe to assume we will make a £75m profit this season, and we will be looking at £250m in the bank.

When the fuck are people gonna wake up?

After 6 games, we will be out of the title race !

  18. Oh Theo Theo!

Wenger is a disgrace of a human being.

Even if he signs Suarez will the fans ever properly trust him again? I won’t.

I feel like I’ve been lied to too many times.

I can never consider him one of arsenal’s great managers.

  19. ben

This could all be a smokescreen. As soon as the board said we have money and will spend, other clubs have been trying to hold us to ransom – look at Higuain…
Wenger’s statement makes it look like we are not desperate and therefore in a better position to negotiate.

Anyone who wants Wenger out needs their head examined..
There isn’t another manager in the world who could have kept us where we are in the league without spending any money…. We have a new stadium that generates £3 million a game and long term will keep us up there with the teams that are buying titles.
Just watch over the next few years as Spurs build their new stadium, cant afford to spend as a result and drop down the league like a stone as they don’t have Wenger at the helm.

There appears to be a myth that the stadium is paid off.. Its not, the debt runs until 2019 from what I can gather. But long term it is needed to keep competing without putting the club in debt.
If FFP actually comes in there is no way clubs like Chelsea will be able to compete as they don’t make the matchday revenue. Both Arsenal and Manure make £3+ mil a game and Chelsea make £26 million less than us per season.
Spurs currently only make £1.6 mil per game, thus the new stadium to try and keep up.

  20. Ash79

    Said this last night…

    If what Myles says is true that Suarez is being forced upon Wenger then if this deal goes through, it is more than conceivable that Wenger wont pay Luis any mind;
    a) out of spite for the board
    b) to prove a point (u know he loves this) that we dont need him
    c) to give game time to his frenchman striker (im sure he has provided assurances to OG as it is a WC year)

We all know how obstinate he is with team selection and he should never be questioned. Just makes you wonder that even if Ivan and the board want Suarez, is it really worth it if Arsene will be a cock about it?

  21. Figoxor

So, the message of this post is “let’s keep on being a bunch of c*nts”. I agree that it is not the time to claim the head of Wenger, BUT, why didn’t we make it happen before? Moreover, how come there will not be a single protest or demonstration in any of its ways to ask for signings and improvements or a show of ambition?

I couldn’t sleep last night because I was thinking of d whole arsenal football club debacle. Please my fellow gooners, a lot is been said that wenger is the cause of our problem. But I ask fellows, is wenger our CEO, our Chairman, our Marketing manager, our chief negotiator and a member of d arsenal board? We all know that in any bureaucratic organisation, there is always a division of labour and specialization and also hiearchy of power. The point am trying to make is that d problem we are witnessing at arsenal is ageneral problem that started from the top to bottom I.e Board to playing and non playing staff. Suarez is 50m striker like liverpool said, maybe someone should explain to me why Dick law isn’t offering that amount. Or is wenger running around physically with d money while others re cheasing him? I don’t support wengerism any. Good morning from Africa.

palmer is just a blind guess machine to me

a baby knows we definately will be signing 1 or 2 in the end.the question is when who and why this late

  25. Romford Pele

“That sounds about right to me, 8 first team players needed.”

That’s excessive. You could compete with half of that.

  26. Bergkamp63

I don’t know why everyone is having a go at Wenger ? He can’t help being a loser.

    It’s Kroenke’s decision to keep him !

  27. Hitchy

The glimmer of hope that we might announce someone the day before the Emirates cup, is all but gone now. Just keep telling myself ‘theres still X days left’.

However after all the talk about getting signings done early!! Why the fuck do we only have Sanogo to show for it?
We’ve shifted some deadwood – YES, but to make room for what?…

  28. Arsenal man

I don’t wanna sound like a deluded fan so ill try my best to explain my points

From researching alot in this years transfer window I’ve found out that there is basically no strikers left for us to purchase unless we poach another teams unhappy players I.e suarez or rooney ,rooney is more of a long shot because united dont want to lose the battle of egos with him ,so were only left with bidding 50 for suarez which I’m sure should be enough ,in regards to the rest of the rest of the squad places we need help in ,I really think that putting cazorla on the left wing and trying to buy a new attacking mid and a defensive mid is the best course if action ,call me crazy but I think a midfield partnership of Christian erikssen and wilshere will be beautiful ,erikksen wants to move on and he’s a really great player in the mold of gotze , defensive midfield we need a beast medel of Sevilla (the guy who stopped xavi snd messi) would be perfect ,feedback please ?

  29. Akinaf

If wenger fail to sign at least suarez and fellaini, he should leave my beloved club, arsene, gazidis and If wenger fail to sign at least suarez and fellaini, he should leave my beloved club, arsene, gazidis and kroenke out!

  30. Figoxor

Peter, everybody knows Wenger will sign, but when we say ‘anyone’ we mean ‘anyone with real talent’. Of course, he will bring some Gervinhos, bargains, and what not…

  31. Midlandgunner

  32. Damilarey

Did 8 fucking years is not enough agony for us?
Let the protest for world class signing begins right from the Emirate competition. Instead of some fans thinking of booing Higuain, let’s do the chant to challenge AW, IG, DL & co. to make the signing for us.

We can’t afford to go through another season of same old 8years successless campaign. Something must be done before its too late this summer.

The mood really called for a Geoff post today. Something has to be done. This madman is really about to head into the season without adding anything to the squad. It took a good run at the end of last season to secure our beloved 4th place trophy. The Spuds and Liverpool have added to their ranks, and we’ve done nothing. How sad is it that I’m worried about us competing with those two clubs instead of the actual title contenders?! Wenger Out Now!!

  35. Rich

Pedro you seem to have a much more balanced outlook these days, talking to ppl at the club and being a bit closer to it has probably made you realise some things aren’t as cut and dry as they may seem from the outside looking in
    Would you agree?

  37. gilo

    Pedro,

You only have to look at the comments here to see what Wenger/Gazidis are doing to the morale of supporters – and I think its gone past the point where anything can be done about it.

having said that – I’m inclined to agree that the time to part with Wenger was at the end of last season (if not 5/6 years ago!). Sacking the manager without a ready made replacement two weeks before the start of the season would be madness- but so much of the business done by this club is madness that it might just happen!

  38. Bergkamp63

    PeterAugust 2, 2013 09:42:02
Does everyone honestly think Wenger wont sign anyone? Are you really that foolish?

obviously a fan of Supermarket Sweep !

  39. Dplanet

So we spunk £50m on Suarez? Then what? We’re still going to have an average midfield and defence. I didn’t think goals was our problem. Sure, it would be great to have Suarez banging in 30 a season, but we had that with Van Persie and we still didn’t win anything – or even come close. We’re one injury away from Flappyhandski – let’s not forget why we started calling him that. I remember clearly feeling that he should never play for Arsenal again.

As Arsenal fans, we’ve been conditioned to care about money more than anything else over the last 8 years. Think of the burden of pressure on Suarez if we spend £50m on him. If he doesn’t score a hattrick every game we’ll all be moaning about how much he cost. Teams like Chelsea and City can afford to have £50m players that don’t work out. Can we?

This is the madness of Wenger. The fans and the players beg him to reinforce our squad for 8 years – then, after trashing Project Youth, he considers splashing out £50m on a ‘ready made’ player- and one with a difficult reputation.

And then there’s the real prospect that the Suarez deal doesn’t happen and we’re left with nothing. It’s reckless and insane. I can’t believe we have to suffer another season of this insanity.

  40. The Yes Man

As was mentioned before, if you lot REALLY think that Wenger won’t sign anybody, you’re all fools. That’s a shame as you all should know better.

I think 6 players are required to get to the 85-90 points level and compete.

TBH with Wenger incharge its irrelevant. He wont do tactics, he will be out-thought in big games, there wont be standards and players will take it easy knowing he is a soft touch.

But in terms of personnel i would say its 6 minimum.

    – GK

  49. HENRY'S CULTURED RIGHT FOOT

Why do fans keep saying we had a good run towards the end of last season?..most of those victories were smash and grab..am sure wenger is not planning on playing the whole season that way!.or else someone is gonna die of High blood pressure, lol.

Anyway, I hope he is just not thinking of signing only Suarez cos that would be madness. We are not a striker away from Title challenge, we need to strengthen other areas in the squad.

Is it just me, or does it seem like every one is breaking their Transfer Record this window?

  50. James

The board and AW have no respect for the supporters. They are not even embarrassed to lie every year. Recent seasons have shown that AW has been wrong in refusing to buy. How can be allowed to keep making the same mistake without anybody intervening? He has too much power and is a dictator who takes supporters for granted. Another Mugabe

  51. Ash79

gooner87 – why would anyone boo Higuain? man has done nothing wrong. definately worth cheering on. hope he gets a hat-trick.

  52. Midlandgunner

If no signings are made give it one home defeat to a weak side and the media will be all over him…..what are you looking at?

  53. Figoxor

Madrid didn’t come to be the best club of the XX century signing ‘quality players at a fair price’. By this, I don’t mean to go crazy with the money but Suarez is tagged £50M, pay it! He might be a hell of a person but he scores and that’s what we needed in most of the games last season. That and someone to backup Cazorla. Add up an experienced keeper and a CB/RB like Richards and we have a great chance of achievement. Be it noted that I hate Suarez, but his quality is undeniable.

  54. The Hig

One day you angry saying “Fuckoff Wenger” the next day you humble and hoping cos you realise he’ll never leave. It’s the worst thing ever! Wenger’s going nowhere and we will have to deal with this shyt every transfer window because we love the club so much. What can we do? Absolutely buggerall.

  55. Biggles

I’m beginning to feel we should probably just not sign anyone and keep the money. Let Wenger lead us to 5th or 6th and eventually leave. Then with over £100m in available funds, we get Klopp in as he finally tires of not having the money to supplement the miracles. Or, possibly, Joachim Low after the World Cup.

Then, because we’re not in the Champions League next year, Klopp/Low/whoever gets to lead us to winning the Europa League – still a European trophy mind – in their first season to usher in the a glorious new era.

  56. Romford Pele

“Why do fans keep saying we had a good run towards the end of last season?..most of those victories were smash and grab”

To be honest, 26 out of 30 points is a good return in anyone’s books.

You’re forgetting Chelsea won their first league title in 50 years on the back of a series of 1-0 wins.

  57. Guninurback

Half of these fuckers have never been here before yet they all salute Pedro’s loss of principles. HMmmmmmmmm?

  58. Gregg

Lets not get fooled in by liverpools bid for Costa means they will sell Suarez. Rarely works like that. More likely they are flexing their muscles and saying we’ll keep him happy and add to the squad. Novel idea that one. As for guessing the state of Liverpools finances; their owners will get the money if required. Always have done.

Some people on here were saying earlier in the summer that Real Madrid have no money ! yeah right.

  59. The Hig

Wright is kinda right. But I don’t think we need 2 centre halfs and 2 fullbacks. 1 each would do, and not 2 strikers, a winger and CF.

  60. thirdway

Given the lack of a single rumour of a cm purchase I can only guess wenger is gambling on diaby again. What a joke.

  66. Romford Pele

“Lets not get fooled in by liverpools bid for Costa means they will sell Suarez”

They will definitely sell Suarez if they buy Costa. They’re not in a position to continue buying due to the amount wasted in recent years. Let’s not forget that they already have Sturridge, Aspas and Borini.

  67. gilo

The sad fact is that we’ve sunk to such a level that adding Suarez and Fellaini will only ensure that we have an outside chance of top 4.

We’d easily finish top four with those two considering what happened last year.

  71. The Hig

We definitely need more creativity, someone who can come on and do what Cazorla does. We need players on the bench that can come on and change things, not players who come on hoping to change things.

  72. samsenal

Agree with Romford – 8 players? 2 Centre Backs? Sheesh. Ian is a legend but he does talk rubbish from time to time.

Splash out on a CF and AM and we will be twice the team we were last season. Buy a World Class CM/DM and we are even more stable. Improve our goalkeeper and things look even better.

  73. Toli83

I still think GK should and could have been sorted early. Bergovic in. We have to rookies competing there – neither would be one or two in another top flight team. I don’t really rate Scez at all. No confidence and error prone.

Wenger will get someone last minute, trouble is they will be panic buys and in no way shape or form what the team needs. I.e. Barry & Grenier.

  76. Dublin Gunner!!!

hey official bosh. I think wenger really thinks he is the ceo, on the board, sure did anyone see when sky were at arsenal yesterday they were talking to the grounds man. an even he said wenger takes time to check the pitch to make sure he’s happy with it. I bet he tells the canteen staff how to do there job as well

  77. Guninurback

Round of Applause is in order when Cesc Appeal drags his sorry ass out of bed, he must’ve had a photocopy of Pedro’s “Aug 1st.” post lying in wait since last year.

  78. The Hig

I think Fellaini will be bawt, for around 17m. Like it was said the other day, it’s strange that nobody bid for him. Perhaps his agent told clubs they not interested cos he’s going to Arsenal and that Wenger is just waiting to get him cheaper. Possibly why we not in for any CM after the supposed Larsbender bid.

  79. JohnnyJ

I dont usually use this blog, and although I agree with some of the bloggers points, there seems to be a lot of negativity in the comments! In my opinion, we made four very good signings last year: Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud, Monreal. So to say Wenger no longer understands the transfer market is ridiculous. Also, Saurez and Rooney are not the only striker options in the world.

“Massive issues up top unlocking parked buses is what’s scaring me.”

“Straight up. But those who only watch MOTD highlights don’t realise this.”

Thank you both for talking sense.

If we aren’t going to spend £100m then i’d rather we went all out on a CF and AM and ignored the other positions. Fellaini would be a wonderful purchase but i don’t see it happening.

  81. Kemp1886

We sacked Rioch just before the season started. We had an uneventful summer under him despite big names being linked with us at the start of the summer. Then we got hammered by Celtic and Rangers and he was bundled out of the door. It worked a treat, although I know that the chances of that happening to Wenger has a 0% chance of happening.

  82. unhappy gunner

    @Dublin Gunner
The majority of shite wengers bought in last few years could play on top of a dung heap, they wouldn’t look out of place thats for sure. Im just amazed with people still backing him for “1 more year”….you just know next year they will be saying exactly the same.

  83. Emiratesstroller

I agree with what Pedro has written. It is what I discussed with sports journalist earlier in week.

There is however another factor which has not been discussed in recent times. Since we have moved to Emirates the ‘customer’ base of club has changed. Most season ticket holders are well off and successful professional or business people. There will come a finite point in time when the supporters are no longer willing to spend £2,000+ each year on a club without ambition or willingness to invest in top players.

Similarly sponsors such as Emirates and Puma will only pay top dollar sponsorship if they are associated with success. Puma have already suggested that
their deal does have an element of performance attached to it.

  84. DUIFG

We have boxed ourselves off so tight that only a Suarez purchase now will give the club a lift. It’s going to need 50 mil in all likelihood. That leaves little for another creative purchase. Can pretty much already see the frustration on Suarez face on his first attempted link up with poldy and theo. the pressure on a caz Suarez to click and feed off each other is insane.

  85. vicky

It is kind of amazing that 8 victories out of 10 against shit teams last season deludes people in to believing that we have got a great group of first team players and that we need to add just a couple of players to be title contenders again.

Let us talk about our CORE :

Ramsey : I have always maintained he is a Fulham/Newcastle level player. At best a squad player at Arsenal. So he should not be part of our CORE.

Walcott : He was,is and probably will always be a SUB player. I can not see him playing 90 minutes week in week out at any other top club.

Arteta : Illarramendi will get a national cap before Arteta If at all Arteta ever gets a cap. Illarramendi is just a back up for Xabi Alonso and yet ahead of Arteta in the national set up. That is a fair indication of the level of the player.

Giroud : He is hardly breathtaking ,is he ???

Wilshere : Just a talented crock at the moment, nothing less nothing more.

    Diaby : LOL !!!!!!!!!

Sczeaney : Talented but very inconsistent.

CB position : 1 injury away from catastrophe.

We are an average team. Period.

  86. Concerned Gooner

Pedro,it hurts me to read your latest posts because i really had high hopes for you and enjoyed your blogs but i have noticed a trend with you that i dont like. Why do you always say no to these protests when you seem certain that we are being hoodwinked by Wenger and the Board? When are we going to ever call their bluff and let them know we cant be fooled any longer?

  87. Romford Pele

“Can pretty much already see the frustration on Suarez face on his first attempted link up with poldy and theo. the pressure on a caz Suarez to click and feed off each other is insane.”

You’ve hit the nail on the head here DUIFG.

Our only other hope is that Rosicky stays fit all season (hugely unlikely) or Jack develops well as a no.10. Options there are limited.

  88. Dublin Gunner!!!

I was watching worlds toughest prisons. and there was this prison in peru and the prisoners ran the jail. if u were not in a gang u got no food only whats left over and scraps. and every day that the gang members would dump the food out all the (lower end of prisoners ie, rapists kiddie flidders) scavengers would rush for the scraps, fighting just to get something, thats how I feel during the transfer window. thanks Arsene

  89. samsenal

Vicky, Ramsey would get into Manchester United’s midfield ahead of Cleverly.

*ducks for cover under a hail of missiles thrown by Arsenal Haters*

  90. JohnnyJ

@Vicky – it wasn’t just the last 10 games in the prem league though was it. In the second half of the season (the back 19 games) we finished second behind Man U and we were only 3 points off them. We had to make a lot of changes last season including players and tactics and it definitely started working.

I don’t believe you are real. or to be more specific I don’t believe your comments to be genuine. Hence I will disregard them as if you never existed.

  92. arsenal tom

the sponsors were probably fed the same bullshit the fans were by Gazidis “we’ve got the money to spend big” and “we want to do exciting deals”.

They cant promise anything because nothing certains o they’ll be fine.

  93. pistolpete

There should be a new rule implemented by the F A. No manager can retain his position if no prize has been won in. 8 years. That is a longtime in football. SMUG WENGER OUT

  94. The Hig

Wenger is going nowhere no matter what the supporters say. I mean, you’d have to burn down The Emirates to get Stan to listen. Which none of us would do.

  95. kutty

LG ill be far from the truth if i say i don’t enjoy your blog. Will go straight to the suarez issue trailing the blaze.if we don’t buy Suarez or any other Person we still have a strong team to challenge.this was the same team that defeated the European Champions,so why don’t we give them space.Carzola,Giroud and podolski just played their 1st season in the premiership and we ended up with 4th.we had the second best defense in the league even when we had a poor 1st half of the season.if we play all our matches like we played the last 10matches I’m sure we would all be smiling.Fergie bought just Van persie last season and won the league!so why can’t we wait till the end of the transfer.if we get Suarez its a plus.to win the premier league you need 4 players who will score a double figure,we had 3 now let’s get the fourth one and I’m certain we will kiss the drought good bye!Patience Gooners!!!!

  96. olatunbosun

“Like it or lump it,the only way Wenger goes is Ɵƞ his own accord. At the end ǿſ the season, after he ballsing up”.What a pathetic statement from Ў☺ΰ pedro what has wenger done in †ђξ past 8 yrs †̥o still be †ђξ manager ǿſ AFC,he can no longer attreact top players,he rewards mediocrity.Anybody dat wish †̥o stage a protest shld go ahead, wenger n Ivan has done enof.WENGER/iVAN OUT!!!!!

  97. unhappy gunner

    @Dublin Gunner,
It just amazes me mate, because the stats, facts and performances over last 8 years are there for everyone to see. Its not like us anti wenger guys made it up. Proofs in the pudding yet still people say “1 more year”. When does “1 more year” end for these people? When is enough enough? When he gets us relegated?

  98. The Hig

We can moan all we want, we’ll still be supporting the club until we die. Anyone up for a change of club? Don’t think so.
