Last chance saloon today, and time for fan power Arsenal, don’t let a Yank club collector grind us down.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

I have to say I hope you all take what Arsenal are saying about transfers with a pinch of salt, they are liars and they do this every year, and every year we fall for it, he thinks he can throw you all a scrap and you will feed off it, like grateful dogs, well this year I hope you don’t, I urge all season ticket holders to think hard before you part with your money because it’s not going on your team, it’s going on wages.

How the hell can Djourou get a pay rise?

Same with the merchandising, meat pies and drinks, though I can understand excessive drinking at some of our recent performances. If the new kit is that one with the black armbands, don’t worry, no bugger will buy that anyway! And that’s how out of touch our American and French owners are, they don’t realise we actually like red and white kits.

Moan over, we are still all Arsenal fans and we all still want our team to win, despite out nutty manager doing his best to destroy his legacy and our team

Today we play in the last trophy we can win, against Sunderland at the Stadium of Shite, a week after beating them in the league, can we do it? You bet we can.

Let’s start with my line up for today, presuming they are all available.

Chezzer

Sagna Song Vermaelen Gibbs

Coquelin Arteta Bennayoun

Gervinho RVP Oxo

Now a line up like that may do it, Song has been rubbish as a DM in my opinion but Ok at centre back, well twice as good as Djourou and Squillaci combined, that’s for sure.

Mertesacker is out for the season and Kozzer is out for today, so a strong back for is what we need, screw their feelings.

Ramsey needs to be benched and I feel Yossi has something to prove and he can’t do worse, Coquelin deserves a chance and Arteta is all we have left.

Time to get shot of Theo from our line up, even I have lost patience with him now, give Oxo and Gervinho a go and Robin of course to feed off them.

It’s our last chance of anything this season, I don’t care if we don’t qualify because I’m sick of Europe and Wenger’s sucking up to it at the Panacea.

Go out there men and fight for your future, because if we lose this game, it doesn’t look good.

Have a great day Grovers, a lot depends on this game. Our whole season I think.

Anyone still able to explain the upside to Ramsey? Scores on kicks where his foot snaps the ground first, sky’s the ball on a full out. Sorry, I just still don’t see anything there of true worth.

  2. dave

We must have hit our quota for Korean shirt sales by now. No need to show Park any more. Probably behind in Japanese shirt sales – must promote Myachi

  3. Pedro

Joppa, if he’s over awed by the pressure of Barca… why not? He likes our brand of football, he’d have a good platform and he’d have far less pressure.

If he was backed in the transfer market, I’m sure he’d speak to us.

  4. Adam A. Carbarundum

    Joppaaaaaaa…Why not?

I can see any top flight manager wanting to come to Arsenal, Pep included. This franchise still has great appeal to the masses, regardless of how they play. And think about it, what better way to cement your status as a legend than to take a decimated Arsenal squad and build it to your style of play and watch them win again. Why not? Dream job if you ask me.

  5. Pedro

    Adam, spot on.

A job he definitly wouldn’t be interested in is the United one… you can’t better Fergie… ever.

Never take over a perfect project.

  6. JOPPAAAAAAAA

Why would Arsenal want a vibrant go getting manager? And more to the point why would they back him with money?

I’m trying to work out the boards logic from how they are now with Wenger to all of a sudden getting Pep!

  7. kwik fit

According to the mirror Arsenal are tracking Cologne’s Lukas Podolski, Dortmund’s Mario Gotze, Anderlecht’s Matias Suarez and(wait for it lurch) Blackburn’s Junior Hoilett. 🙂 ( to be taken with a pinch of salt)

  8. Bade

Well, it can’t get better with this line up, can it?

Now we just need a small knock for Tommy so the divine pair can shoe us what the true meaning of CB pairing

  9. JOPPAAAAAAAA

Here’s a thought. Perhaps it’s not just the personnel, perhaps it’s this fkin formation that doesn’t work Wenger. Jesus fck how much longer is he going to persist with it until the penny drops?

  10. Adam A. Carbarundum

    Joppa…

Well, let me see…Wenger or Pep? Old Useless Donkey or Fresh Legged Horse?

The logic is simple…Pep is keeping up with the game, Wenger has watched it go by and has not responded.

To put it more simple, not just anyone will be given the job of managing this team. Arsenal will obtain a name and a proven winner for itself when Wenger is gone. Of this I am very certain. You don’t get to be one of the worlds most popular and significant teams and then wind up settling for less.

  11. Adam A. Carbarundum

    Joppa…

Not saying that Pep is on his way, but this is Arsenal, not West Ham. Managing this team is a dream job.

  12. Olumide

Untold arsenal:’with wenger out, we’ll have no chance of buying hazard’ . Bloggers @ untold are really pathetic fools.

  13. arsenal1886-2006

Pedro. If Wenger does go then Kroenke will want like for like. When you look at his appointments of his US franchises they are generally not much different in mentality to the ousted coach.
I do think that Pep would be able to entice quality players because of who he is, and his growing reputation. But as I said, Stan does not want to invest on the scale that we believe is needed.

  14. Gunner2301

    Goonzer

Arsene ain’t rebuilding jack shit it’s the usual ploy. We couldn’t shift the dead wood lady summer what makes you think we can shift double that amount this summer because that’s what’s needed.

Wenger has said before he wouldnt buy or get rid of so many players as it would lead to instability. My argument for years has been can we get anymore unstable? The team is playing like 11 individuals anyway so what would it matter.

The only way were gonna get a cull is if Wenger is removed. The fact that Djourou got a new contract being one of the worst culprits says it all. Next you’ll see Theo getting his massive wad.

Wenger isn’t capable of doing what needs to be done and never has been. He’s as mentally weak as his players.

  15. dave

Any decent manager would want assurances from the board that things are going to change – ie spending money / proper transfer negotiations/ proper coaching and proper wages. I am not sure this board is capable of this. The danger is we get a “yes” man pandering to the board and we sink further into mediocracy. It’s not just the manager that needs removal – it’s the board.

  16. Bade

I reckon Pep would jump on Arsenal opportunity, he can’t think of anything more exciting

A team with great potential, big name, but needs total rebuild. And there’s money to spend

Of course the board will give him the money, they actually gave Arsene loads of it, but he’s reluctant to use it, want’s to make it in his own twisted way

  17. Adam A. Carbarundum

    Dave

I think that when Wenger goes the mood will demand anything but a “yes” man. For Wenger to go the whole thing will have collapsed. Empty seats will dictate what the so-called Board will do. Arsenal may appear automatic, but never underestimate today’s supporter. They are more vocal and more demanding. In this day and age where supporters are asked to pay a premium, they too have wised up and know that it is they who ultimately hold the winning hand. A supporter has only so much money at their disposal, and a limit to where they are willing to spend. If the Board does not recognize this, then they have doomed themselves to ultimate failure.

  18. Adam A. Carbarundum

    Joppa

I think we will, don’t you? Sooner is coming rather than later or never. There’s a new wind blowing over LeGrove and its replacing the scent of arrogance.

  19. Bade

Pep’s done it all in Barca, what’s the point to make it anymore longer? He’d achieved 13 trophies out of 16 possible, it’s unusual success. You can’t get better than that, time to move to your next challenge….

  20. Adam A. Carbarundum

What message are you sending when you are playing Lu Fonzerelli in goal today? Do you want to win? Just asking.

  21. JOPPAAAAAAAA

Absolutely no chance of Pep coming. It’s a silly conversation. Someone said earlier should be in joke Friday and they are right.

“Jump at the chance”…seriously guys come on now – are you all on the wind up?

  22. follow the money

Well here we go lads haha. I actually think the team will come out and give a massive effort today–but will that be enough? I guess we’ll see….Djourou in central defence, booooo, Theo not starting yaaaaayy

  23. Adam A. Carbarundum

I’m honestly surprised they are not going with the all yellow kit today…to match their cowardly performance in Milan.

  24. dave

    Adam

I would like to think that you are correct.

Sadly, everything that has happened to us, the supporters, suggests that the board doesn’t actually care. They appear very arrogant and take us for granted. Hikes in ticket prices, ridiculous costs at the stadium, blatant commercialism and utter disregard for the “heart beat” of the club suggests that the board haslost touch with its supporters.

  25. Thorough

Is Wenger obsessed with Ramsey? As if it is not enough crime to play with Djorou he adds another handicap in the form of Ramsey. Let’s pray to God our strong wingplay, which I’m banking on today, does enough to save the day. I am going for 3-2 to the Arsenal. Djorou assisting one directly, via penalty or ball-watching, Ramsey assisting the other: I’m talking the Sunderland goals by the way. 1 each for our 3 men in front. I wish!!!

  26. Adam A. Carbarundum

    Dave

True, but there is nothing quite like empty seats to send a message. Keep playing the way we have and ask a King’s ransom for a ticket and even the most ardent and blind supporter will eventually stay away. You are right though, the level of loyalty from supporters is interesting, but something tells me that its not going to last that much longer.

  27. Adam A. Carbarundum

Gee whiz but Martin O’Neill looks like a pervey old school teacher. Hey Martin, the 1970’s called, they want their look back!

  28. Adam A. Carbarundum

I see that the pitch is top notch again, as Geoff stated, at the Stadium of Shite! Please, no injuries…I think we have had our fill for the next two seasons.

  29. Gunner2301

    Dan

I was thinking that myself with AOC, Gerv and now RYO, Theo’s looking like 4th choice for next season and therefore is worth not even what he’s getting now.

  30. Adam A. Carbarundum

    Gunner2301

Theo is looking a lot like a nice transfer fee if you ask me. He’s done everything possible to play his way off this team. Only a senile old goat would think otherwise. Wait second, we still have Arsene Wenger don’t we?

  31. JOPPAAAAAAAA

Greedy fkin football yet again. How much are the tickets for this? Surely Sunderland could of got some kids in to fill the stadium? Or does the FA Cup mean that little now days?

  32. Gunner2301

    Adam

Theo is the epitomy of what is going on with the team, resting on his laurels and not taking his opportunities.

    OMG Squillaci on, Le Co

  33. Adam A. Carbarundum

Great! A hammy for Coq. No worries though…we have Squid warming up.

Man this is just becoming comical with each passing game.

  34. Adam A. Carbarundum

Oh crud…I’ve got to head off to the Beer Store. I’ll never make it on the 12 I have in the fridge!!!

Geez but these guys are going to give me a heart attack before its all said and done.

  35. Doublegooner

Smething is seriously wrong, getting these injuries.

My sister is a polatis coach, knows quite a few pro club trainers & we are one of few teams not to do yoga or polatis.

It definately toughens up the muscles.

  36. Adam A. Carbarundum

The only thing that I love more than a Gunners win is to watch Wenger and that weasel face of his squirm. Where’s the water bottle?

  37. follow the money

I would really like to see some stats on how many games Arsenal have won when Squillaci plays. I can remember one. Seriously. Only one. Djourou or Squid or Flappy will cost us today. It’s all so predictable, and yet Wenger wonders why our best players want out. How the hell can there be any semblance of true team spirit when you have two or three terrible players who consistently destroy the good performances of the rest of the team?

  38. Dutchman

Are you fucking kidding me!!! Fabianski, Squillaci and Djourou in one team?!
What are these players even doing here?!!!! Fucking joke of a club. Where is yennaris!!! You fucking french stupid dickhead!!! Squillaci and djourou in Arsenal FC. That has to be a joke!

  39. demon

djourou is the black senderos immense for a couple of games last season then his confidence hit the rocks and has been shit ever since!!

  40. Dutchman

And what are the medicle staff doing?!! A player who icks up a hamstring after 10 minutes. Unbelievable! This club is rotten from top to bottom. Nothing is good! And what a joke of a players are playing now! Pfff… And we don’t buy anyone. Protest is the key. The fans needs to protest. This has to change. We are a midtable club now and it will get lower by the years. Something has to change!

  41. follow the money

Wenger needs to sit down and shut up and stop harassing the fourth official. He’s clearly trying to get one of their players sent off. This is your team Wenger, and this is how bad they are. Face it

  42. lordbergkamp

This is why we need more english players, you can see the fight dribbling out of the foreign players with every late tackle.

    O’Neill knows what he’s doing!

  43. LeMassiveCoq

    @Wengers bottle

    “Is song our creative midfielder?”

    ________________________________

It would appear so. Lets face it Ramsay and Arteta are Crabs……

  44. JOPPAAAAAAAA

How many times have I said on here that you build from the defence forwards? Fkin 100s.

Wenger’s approach to defending equates to gross misconduct.

And we reward JD with a pay rise…..what message does that send out?

Fkin joke and you lot talk about Pep coming. Deluded.

  45. Bergkamp63

Sorry boys but I had us down for a win today but did not factor in these 4 idiots !!

Flappy, Sagna, djourou and Squid !!

  46. Adam A. Carbarundum

Should have been a penalty, but Howard the Manchurian Duck would dare not call it. Attwell was just sent down and its open season on shite officiating now.

  47. demon

we retreat more than the french 4 fack sake most attacks we dnt just cross it in but pass it backwards instead of taking the man on and whipping in a cross

  48. Arse&Nose©

Was confident at the start but since our defence has been forced to re-shuffle it’s not looking promising.
Both Squillaci and Djourou are appalling at reading and reacting to the ball, that and the swirling wind makes it very likely that we will concede.

  49. Dutchman

How can a club not see that they need many, many new players when you have a team like this?! Why does that club not spend much money and are they saying that it is a great squad and that they can win all trophies! How can a club be so stubborn not to spend when it is clear that the team needs much better players. And the money is there.
One reason. The club has no ambition! They keep the money for themselves. What a rotten club. It just like a film. They are joking with the fans and they only care about themselves.

  50. Arse&Nose©

Pen or no pen, if that was Rooney both he and Evra and Giggs would have surrounded Webb and talked him into giving it.

All successful teams influence officials, the current crop don’t appeal for anything and make it easy for officials to rule against them,

  51. Adam A. Carbarundum

The strategy is clear, load up on the usual stiffs and should we lose then Wenger has his usual scapegoats. Injuries, bad pitch, questionable officiating, quarter moon, smelly socks, lost lucky charm. Every excuse but the obvious…”I let the team down”.

Wenger is a perfect example of an enigmatic anomaly. You see it, you can touch it, you can smell it, its there…but its not there.

  52. malayan guns

Why is Verms in the LB. Thought we have a new signing ( Gibbs ).

The fu**, Can’t even finish the sentence…

    0-1.
