How can anyone defend selling Cesc and Nasri the day before the season starts? Unless… Oh and Campbell signs!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Unless he swaps Nasri for Tevez! And we are closer to Argentina than Manchester so who knows, but it’s the sort of hardball we should be playing, sign him Arsene and all will be forgiven.

Let’s start with what our esteemed leader said yesterday – Our squad is too big, with too many players.

Yes he really said that, and yes he really has sold Cesc and Nasri, the day before our season begins, my goodness.

Let’s go back 2 weeks, then he said that if we sold our two best players we are showing that Arsenal are not an ambitious club.

Yesterday he said ‘ManU sold Ronaldo, does that mean they have no ambition?’
NO ARSENE IT MEANT THEY GOT £80MIL FOR ONE PlAYER, not £50mil plus add-ons for two.

So where I struggle is the statements he makes, he comes out with stuff and then says the opposite down the line, like the Wenger classic of 3 years ago, ‘Judge me in May’ I did! Unfortunately no one at Arsenal remembered.

Maybe next time any of our chums at the AST or whoever has Q&A’s could ask Gazidas or dare I say it Wenger about these huge contradictions, are there no checks and balances at Arsenal? Don’t worry, I know the answer, that question was rhetorical.

Now the reason we have too big a squad is because you fill it with useless kids, then you fail to get rid of those you fall out with, Bendtner, Denilson, Eboue or Vela spring to mind. Or useless older players like Squillaci and Almunia, I mean our number one is Chezzer, yet Almunia keeps the squad number and is still being paid, even though he doesn’t play anymore, same with Bendtner and Eboue.

You pay your useless players so much that we can’t give them away, then you get rid of Clichy, Cesc and Nasri and buy in 6 teenagers (including Campbell) and Gervinho, then say our squad is too big, and no one at Arsenal questions you, weird as hell that.

And you paid £15mil for a 17 year old that’s never played outside of the old second division, but say £17mil for an England centreback is crazy money, who’s the crazy one?.

Our self sustaining model would be even better if you cleared half of our overpaid squad out wouldn’t it?

I hear cesc has been a complete cock through the summer, and you let him, now it appears you are letting him go cheap, because Barca won’t pay what he’s worth, don’t forget last summer you said £60mil. He has 4 years left on his contract and the season starts today, I say let him rot.

Nasri I don’t blame, take the money (or Tevez) and move on, but leaving it all so late is shameful and shocking business, shocking.

Then he compounds it with this statement ‘We feel we were very close last year and that we can improve from what we achieved. We will be in there, don’t worry,’

Close? Close? We were 4th and miles behind, then we sell our 2 best players and he thinks we’ll improve, was he watching pre-season? I was.

Now if Arsenal can sign Juan Mata, Jadson, Gary Cahill and Scott Dann using the £60m we are about to receive, that still leaves the original £25mil from the sale of those flats to get in Tevez or Benzema, now that would be making a statement and that would be a team that could win the league. No doubt. But we have to invest.

All the Barca players are tweeting that Cesc has left, all the papers and the feeds are too, only Arsenal have said nothing, because if we the fans are told on Monday, we won’t mind as much, this management team are not the full shilling are they? What, they don’t think we read?

Anyway, forget them, they aren’t going to spoil the first day of the season, this is it, this is the beginning of the EPL and our road to silverware.

Today we travel to Newcastle, but without Jack, our new midfield general. How will will fare? Read on…

We always start well, last year we went to Liverpool and got a draw, the season before we beat Everton 6-1 away, so we have it in us, and with all the criticism we have had then maybe we’ll see some fight, Newcastle have lost top players from last year and their newbies haven’t bedded in, well not like ours anyway, Jenkinson, Gervihno and Chamberlain, well I expect Gervinho to play today and I expect he’ll get on the scoresheet, so me, I expect to win, if Wenger thinks we can win the league, then games like this shouldn’t be tough, we have those to come.

I’m not sure what team to expect, I think Robin is fit, but Jack, Joel and Andre aren’t, so here’s my guess for today.

Chezzer

Sagna Djourou Vermaelen Gibbs

Song Ramsey Rosicky

Walcott RVP Gervinho

I’m saying Djourou because I think he’s fit and Koscielny has a knock, but if not then he’ll play Kozzer in there, either way I’m not fussed, both are not good enough but both are better than Squillaci.

I expect a high scoring game because even with our hamstrung captain we are by far the better team, I don’t expect them to get more than one goal, don’t forget the 4-4 draw last season was because that twit Diaby got sent off, he didn’t realise you can’t smack nasty players in the cakehole if they foul you, silly sod, he was having his best game for us at the time. Never mind, that was last season and this year as I didn’t go and support another team I am behind my beloved Arsenal again.

So I’m going for a 4-1 win, yes I know, I’m predicting scores again because I feel lucky this season, the Tevez rumour has cheered me up, not because he’ll come, but because we are doing what I’ve been crying out for, playing hardball.

The only person that will be unhappy with the Cesc transfer will be Thiago Alcantara, me I’m deliighted, I hope his hamstrings rot, and I would like to thank Barca for their cash, once again we can add it to the £28mil for Overmars and Petit, the £2.5mil for Gio, the £16mil for Henry, the £15mil for Hleb and now the £40mil for Cesc.

That’s £101,500mil and we paid £500k for Cesc, ha, ha no wonder your economy is in the shitter you stupid pikies!

I think you’ve done more for Arsenal finances than the Arsene Wenger has!

Have a great day Grovers, back to football, hope and maybe some silverware at last.

For the record, I’m delighted we’ve signed Campbell, from the youtube clips, he looks a real prospect.

Lurch- haha yes I expressed this “feeling” for the first time so you could see betting money is far far away.

Bdw….We should get Jagielka not Cahill and a lb. I’ve been thinking Jagielka is pretty efficient in communicating with the refs. Got experience and leadership. Very lively with good positioning. Could be of real help. Or we should get shot of Djorou and get Jag and Cahill/Mertesacker/Samba.

I’d be astonished if Cesc isn’t replaced, im guessing Gervinho is Nasri’s replacement, if Bendtner goes he’ll be replaced internally.

I don’t doubt we want to sign someone of note, circumstances might conspire against us though.

  3. David

Ive got no problems with Gervinho and Nasri swap.

Cesc is obviously the main issue and who we bring in has to be better than what he is.

    Is hard but not impossible.

Id say we take Kaka off Real Madrids hands and invest in that Erikson kid Bergy keep swooning over.

  4. Lurch LeRouge

yeah I’d have parker in a heartbeat but not on loan, I don’t think we’d see the best of him on loan, but would he take a 3 year deal?

Kaka? tough call that, i really haven’t seen him play much in the past year and the fee’s would be astronomical no?

i’m lost really for a suggestion on Cesc’s replacement tbh, I’d sooner suggest a change in formation than just try and force someone in there.

  5. Lurch LeRouge

breaking the bank for snjeider at the last minute would be amazing, he’s kind of backed himself into a corner with Inter.

I know the RVP thing is there but that history now.

  6. David

Change in formation isnt going to work not with the type of players we have.

I imagine Ramsey and Wilshere are being nurtured for the Cesc role but i struggle to see what the Cesc role is attimes?

Wengers got him playing behind the striker one season and then DM the next season.

  7. David

The RVP thing is there and is real but i dont think its a strictly Sniejder problem

Its the whole freaking team that doesnt pass to our Robbin.

    Very weird.

    He would be amazing though.

I tell you what. If Gazidis/Wenger can get Nasri to swap for Tevez.

Id never moan about those two again.

  8. Lurch LeRouge

i think as his scoring instincts progressed he was advanced into the hole yeah, but I never saw him as a DM, more a deep lying playmaker.

I dunno, we’re amassing a load of wingers of late, 3 in one window effectively, I don’t see us that far way from a reversion to a two striker system, especially if we can’t match Cesc in a replacement.

  9. David

Alex Oxy Chamber guy supposed to be a central player.

Miyachi, Walcott and Pervinho are wide players of note.

    Who knows what Arsh is.

It was good to see the Arsenal play footie again i will admit that.

But i cant stand watching wenger whinge about the touchline the whole season.

How i wish we had a different manager.

And with that thought. Id say. God Bless. Goodnight.

I really like that Adeles voice, but because I’ve been programmed to like the atypical sexy female popstars I feel put off if I see her face.

I feel pretty bad to, because I’m fat and ugly aswell, and I feel like I shouldn’t be judging her on her looks.

  11. Rohan

Didn’t you have a fiance gambon?
You’re married now? jeez, what women will do for some merchant wanker City wonga. 😀

  12. gambon

    Rohan

my Fiance is called xxxxx-xxx, no im not married but jeez youre making me look like a player!!

    Merchant Banker? Is it 1567?

  13. Rhyle

Keyser…resent the implications about the Monaco statements I made earlier and stand by them, whereas you seem to have just wheeled out a few facts from Wikipedia to back yourself. The fact remains that, while it was hardly “Project Youth” as our Bangladeshi friend is insisting on calling it, it was never allowed to get that far before Monaco called time on him…and the Marseille scandal was ’92 or ’93, BEFORE Wenger was fired…

I know Myles Palmer is bit of a twat but his book The Professor is actually a good read and gives the full story, after professional research and actually SPEAKING TO THOSE INVOLVED IN THE SITUATION.

  14. nishanth

We were really poor going forward.Thought the back 5 looked really solid.Koscielny was a class act.Its about fucking time that we give arshavin the cesc role.Th guy hates tracking back.We will see the best of him if we play him behind RVP.Ramsey is slowly turning into a tippy tappy player. We need atleast 3-4 signings. There was hardly any option on the bench that could have made a difference.

  15. Geoff

Norris, I realise you have gone now but the ‘Judge me in May’ comment wasn’t this year, it was 3 years ago. And he hasn’t been.

People like you can’t love Arsenal like we all do or you wouldn’t tolerate Wenger doing what he does, and don’t forget what this guy pays himself. He does well out of us, the fan.

Someone last night was quite proud of the Song stamp, I wasn’t, had the idiot got sent off for it, and he could have, we would have lost that game and that would have been on him.

It was stupidity, nothing clever about doing that.

  16. DB10

OK DID ANYONE SEE PARDEW TELLING BARTON “…GET THEM BOOKED” WITH A CARD GESTURE??????? I WAS TELLING MY MATE WHO WAS WATCHING THE GAME WITH ME ” WATCH BARTON WILL BE DOING FROM HEREON”…IMMEDIATELY AFTER THAT HE STARTED WITH SONG, THE STUPID COMMENTATORS KEPT ON WHAT SONG DID, WHICH WAS UTTERLY MORONIC, BUT THEY FAIL TO MENTION WHAT HE DID BEFORE THAT, HE CLATTERED SONG!!!! GERVONHO WAS STUPID FOR DOING WHAT HE DID, BUT I CANT, FOR THE LIFE OF ME, UNDERSTAND WHY BARTON WAS SPARED FOR THE SECOND TIME…

  17. DB10

WILL THE MEDIA SAY ANYTHING ABOUT PARDEW’S APPALLING BEHAVIOR WAVING AN IMAGINARY CARD AND TELLING HIS PLAYERS TO ” GET THEM BOOKED”??? PLEASE SEE THE FOOTAGE IF YOU CAN GET IT, HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT

It is enough really…. Wenger has to go. And i dont think losing points against liverpool and united would be the end of the world. But this guys is so maniac nowadays so deluded talking about financial fair pay which dont exist, as if he is speculating in the futures market with his youth project. Fucking he would do a much better job as an economics professor.

Get a football manager in, and really hated the hand shakes with Barton after the game. It shows players have no respect for each other no pride, everyone is a mug. And the team is backed to perform with Wilshere Ramsey and RVP I can imagine what it would be like at the end of season.

Last season Chamakh had a great first half, Nasri too. RVP is just not a striker. This is going to be a disastrous season.

Wenger better buy at least 3 players before Aug 31st. Hence get lost to PSG.

  19. DB10

GEOFF TELL ME YOU HAVE SEEN THAT PLSSSS….. I CANT BELIEVE WHAT I SAW….PLS SOMEONE TELL ME YOU SAW IT TOO LOL

  20. ikon

Frankly I think the only way to put the board members and fucking little cunt PHW is to allow the russian billionaire to take over the club. The dangers of this were much apparent to the board members, little blood sucking fuckers. The time is coming of a major change in the ranks. Arsene has just 17 more days to respond and mend whats wrong with this team. Till then the fans the club will be nothing more than a joke.

Arsene’s reaction to the clean sheet was amusing. He said something like Verm and Koscielny deserved credit and people shudnt tell him to buy center backs….All I can say is Newcastle looked the more likely side to score, and hadnt there player scuffed a shot from short range they would have scored really. Very dangerous to keep a manager who is not ready to accept what the rest of the audience sees.

Wenger, I have been a great fan. I am saying it now… please leave this club for everyone’s good. If you are not going to spend before Aug 31, make room for a new manager right now so that some additions can happen to the squad.

  21. NickW

You speak the truth and for a lot of frustrated true Arsenal fans. Unfortunately Arsene Wenger wouldn’t know the truth if it him in the head and he obviously couldn’t give a toss about the fans or he wouldn’t insult their intelligent with such bare faced lies all the time.

  22. Just Stick It In !

    Dear Mr. Wenger,

    Damn!

    Another draw.

On the Cesc issue, shouldn’t he be concerned about honor, code and loyalty to the badge if money is not his priority moving to Barca?

Great, as soon as Arsenal complete a player and soon after at 23 or 24,he moves on.

Hello Arsene, that is exactly why we need to buy ready made and proven players to strengthen the squad!

    Sincerely yours,
An Arsenal supporter who has yet to see a single (apart from your crap Emirates Cup) trophy for the best part of the last six years.

(P/s. Sorry Pedro and Geoff, it’s the early season loathing I have for Wenger rearing its ugly head again).
