So I wake to news that Salomon Kalou is no longer wanted by the chavs, good, so why would we want him? If we are going to buy off them then Sturridge, Torres or Bennayoun would do. Yes Bennayoun, I know he’s getting on and gets the odd injury, but he showed more fight than just about any player in our squad this season, and for a million is a lot better bet than the £2.5 we threw away on Park. Which I still think needs to be explained by you, what a complete waste of our much needed funds. Do you have to account for anything at Arsenal?

I know our manager has made some quite bizarre decisions in the seasons past with signings like Squillaci, Chamakh and Park and unless something happens with Gervinho soon, then add him to the list.

Signing Gervinho instead of Hazard may have seemed odd to most Arsenal fans but next season we’ll see why, eh! Signing Kalou though would be even dumber than not signing Hazard.

If we go into another ACN stocked full of players that would be in it, that would wreck any chances of winning any silverware, the reason I’m saying it now is to pre-empt any ACN excuses before he has signed any players and I’m accused in January of hindsight posts.

Good news that we moved a few players on, be better news if we now moved a few more on, a few more that will never make it. I’ve been banging on about Hoyte and Murphy for years, saying they would never feature so why keep them, I think I even used the word cruel. Well now they have gone, so what does that say, I’m a genius or just reasonable at stating the obvious.

So now get shot of Squillaci, Park, Chamakh, Lansbury, Fabianski, Djourou, Bendtner and Denilson. If you can’t shift them then sell them and part fund their silly wages, and why not do that out of your salary you gave it to them.

Getting rid of the overpaid, overrated and crap will free up enough to buy proper players. Not the cheepies, the proper ones, we need to buy M’Vila not Capoue, we need a decent front man or winger like Hazard, not Kalou, we need a decent back up keeper, we need 2 decent full back but one would do.

With the way the chavs and the northern chavs will be spending, we’ll get left behind if we don’t, getting shot of all the shite would fund it, would your ego allow that though Mr Wenger?

Still we must be grateful for finishing third, it at least allows us to enter a competition that the chavs won, we never will, but at least we are in it.

I have a theory on why we lost Cesc so late, with three years left on his contract and 20% cheaper than he was worth. Remember when Fabregas reported that amazing conversation he has with the boss? Ok, here’s my take.

Wenger – Cesc you have to trust me, this team is about to come good and with Chamakh and Squillaci, we will win silverware this year, as well I feel it.

Fabregas – But boss, as your captain I believe we need world class signings, so I would prefer to return to Barca.

Wenger – You need to trust me, this team is the best I’ve ever had.

Fabregas – You have said that for years boss, I want to trust you but…

Wenger – Ok, here’s the deal, I will give you an upfront £8mil, and if we don’t do it this season, you can leave at the price Barca have offered next, deal?

Fabregas – Ok boss, but I want that in writing.

If the above didn’t happen then someone needs sacking for letting him go for the money he went for with three years left on his contract.

Now I have a feeling that is what he’s said to Robin, and that’s why Robin has said no. I think Robin is right too, it’s his last chance to win something it’s not the money it’s the glory. Trouble is Wenger still thinks this team will win. Remember my saying, even a blind Squirrel will occasionally get an acorn?

Well the law of averages say sooner rather than later, but will Robin take a chance? I would hold out for signings if I were him, he’s heard Wenger before.

A quick word on Joey Barton, he thinks he’s a tough guy, he isn’t he’s a plank, what he really needs is a good hiding, anger management my ring piece, if he wasn’t in the cosseted word of football, he would have had his head kicked in years ago. Same with Terry, another bully in a bubble. These twits should come into the real world to see what tough is.

Finally, if David Beckham gets in the Olympic squad it will show two things, first of all the authorities are celebrity struck, he may be a crowd puller, but I thought the Olympics were sold 10 times over? So we don’t need a crowd puller.

Secondly it would show what a totally selfish, up himself dandy he really is, someone much younger, more deserving and better will lose their place, their once in a lifetime opportunity, to satisfy the ego of a 37 year old that already has everything, wasn’t it enough to give him 25 cheap England caps?

Back to Arsenal, Arsene, make the right signings and we have a chance, dither again and you will blow your last chance of being seen as one of Arsenal’s greats.

We have a nucleus of top players and a few gems coming through, buy the right players i

So Pedro, who went yesterday is so distraught he asked me to do the post match report. He so stuck by Wenger, believed all his lies about strengthening and renewed, sucker.

Well there will be no match report, I am using this post to ask Wenger to sod right off and take Kroenke and his highly paid management team with him.

Man City just got £150mil for a kit deal with Nike, what did we do? £50mil for 8 years with the same company, we are shite at sponsorship deals too aren’t we???

Anyone who still supports that mob isn’t really an Arsenal fan, they are Arsene fans, and that my friends is all a bit weird.

Ok Robin, I loved you from the minute you signed, and you showed you had fight early on when you got sent off against Southampton.

I must admit there were times when I said we should let you go, and given the years we didn’t have a spare decent striker, I stand by that.

This season however you have been the greatest striker we have had since Bergkamp, Wright and Henry.

You must has been fuming yesterday, you got the record, your are double player of the year, go now and fulfil your career, you won’t under the nutty professor.

My advice, go and find a club that’s ambitious, has a manager who wants to win and understands tactics and see out your career with a trophy or two, you deserve better than this hapless nut that runs our team and his delusional player selection. Good luck.

Arsene, you have no pride and no conscience, to take the money that we throw at you and produce nothing other than highly paid kids that no one else ever wants is nothing short of scandalous. Under you we would have won nothing for at least 8 seasons.

Thats Ok when you pay what Spurs do to watch a game, but when you pay what we do, it’s taking the mick. You should be ashamed of yourself. To have the wage bill this club does, to have the support that this club has and to win Jack shite is appalling and if you had a hair on your derriér then you would leave us and let us get someone in that will start winning trophies again.

Oh and try not to let the door hit your arse on the way out, not quite frankly that I care.

When you arrived and inherited the best back five the EPL had ever seen plus Ian Wright, Dennis Bergkamp and David Platt you got lucky, you spent money and for the first 7 years you were successful, then with the only ever unbeaten team in football you inexplicably broke them up and became obsessed with youth.

7 barren seasons later you still persist with conning the fans and spending bugger all, I would love to know how much you have trousered in that time, my guess is £50mil?

You should be ashamed, but you’re not, anymore than Peter Hill-Wood is, who once said ‘We don’t want your sort’ (or similar) to Stan Kroenke and then welcomed him with open arms. Then Kroenke dumped Dein and so did you, and that said it all about team Arsenal and its principals.

I’m a businessman so I understand buying shares and how to make money, but someone needs to tell me why Kroenke bought so many Arsenal shares, he doesn’t support Arsenal, most people I know think he’s a complete man of no consequence and the only way he’d make money is if he sold them to Usmanov.

At this moment in time all he seems to be doing is seriously pissing off the fans. So Stan, why are you bothering? There really are easier and quicker ways to make money.

Time to bring in Usmanov, not for his money, but for his ambition. I am backing him and a new manager. I almost got an interview with him, I may try that again.

We are now banking on a spud screw up and that won’t happen, failing that a Newcastle draw but that will only get us 4th, and then we have to hope that the chavs lose.

Too many intangibles Wenger, but if we don’t qualify, you’ll find an excuse and draw another fat salary next year.

There will be the muppet sites that will say we were refused two nailed on penalties, well so were they and they should have been 4-1 up before we equalised so we were lucky.

Wenger complained about the fact we didn’t get a penalty but said nothing about the one they should have had, then he said we weren’t switched on, weren’t switched on? With 2 game left and third place as stake? My goodness!

Song was his usual average self and even gave them an assist, Gervihno showed once again that you really haven’t got a clue in the transfer market, he isn’t even as good as Eboue, and he was crap, and as for Ramsey…

You said we were defensively poor, well that’s because we have a crap defence, we’ve lost more games and let in more goals than we ever have, but for reasons known only to yourself you can’t seem to address it.

You have a chance to bring in an assistant to challenge you, it seems however all you want is one to blow smoke up your arse, very healthy!

All you seem to be interested in is buying kids, buying average and selling our best players.

Well think about all the poor sods you have mugged off for the worlds most expensive season tickets whilst taking out a big fat salary for yourself and your very average highly paid team.

You won’t though, why? Because you have no pride and certainly no conscience.

Please do the right thing and leave, leave before you drag us down even further.

Before I’m asked if I could do a better job at running Arsenal than Gazidas and the board, you bet I could, if they worked for me they would have been out on their arses last season, completely hopeless the lot of them.

Finally for anyone out there that thinks I’m repeating myself, I am, but this time with knobs on, if you don’t like it, don’t comment, in fact stand in the corner with your hands on your head, just like the management of Arsenal Football Club should.

I’m sure we will qualify for Champions League but if we didn’t, Wenger would keep his job. Why?

Because this club rewards crap players with big salaries and a has been manager with what he wants, go to our ground and its like a sycophantic shrine to Arsene Wenger, appalling, it’s time to change all that, its time for the fans to fight back, suggestions please.

It’s time to get our Arsenal back. Enough is enough.

Ok so we may not be able to buy M’Vila because he will be too expensive at £22 million, so we will go after Martinez, only he has a buy out clause of £32 mil so we’ll go for Biglia who will cost a lot less.

We’ll keep Song though and with the addition of Podolski we’ll keep Robin as Wenger will persuade him to stay, I know that because he said so in his press conference. I also know he said all that last year but this year he has had persuasion lessons, so it will be different.

Last week he said the RVP situation will be sorted out before the Euros, but Robin wants to wait to see if Wenger buys some decent players, you know what Robin, don’t we all! I don’t blame you one bit.

I don’t believe we’ll sign anyone like we need, I’m not convinced with Podolski and I believe we’ll be bargain basement buying in the French leagues once again.

I would like to think that Wenger has learned his lesson, but history tells me different. We’ll find out in a few weeks though, believe me, I would love to be wrong!

Today now becomes the biggest game of the season, beat Stoke and we more or less slam the door on the chasing pack for 3rd, but beating Stoke is a big ask as we couldn’t beat QPR or Wigan recently, but we did draw with Chelsea and we did beat Newcastle so I’m confident when it comes to a really must win game, then we will win it.

Don’t forget the players, they will all want ECL football next season so they will be like terriers as well, Stoke can win nothing.

Diaby is sick again, we really need to tell him to go and sit in someone else’s infirmary because for me, he is now taking the proverbial, I don’t care how good he can be, he has zip pride when it comes to being ill.

Jesus in the old days players had an injection and got on with it.

The only way we’ll beat Stoke today is if we fly at them, use our pace and shut down their every move, keep our eye on the long throw and tell Song to stay in his own half.

I would have been delighted with a Pep swap, that won’t happen though, and he reminds me a bit of Kevin Keegan, works for 4 years then wants a rest, if only people in football worked in the real world, that would get a shock wouldn’t they? Baby’s!

Pat Rice will be off this year, we need to get someone in that isn’t a Wenger fan but actually understands defending and I don’t mean Steve Bould, I like Steve but not sure he would offer anymore than Pat Rice, I would like someone to argue with Wenger, maybe Martin Keown.

Anyway, if you are going to Stoke, wrap up and enjoy, if you aren’t enjoy anyway, I fancy us to win as without Champions League football, the board may reconsider Wenger’s power base as money to them is what life is all about.

I’m going 3nil to us.

Well done Robin, you got what your play deserves and finally won what we can claim as a trophy, the first since Thierry Henry won it in 2004.

I have to say you had it coming and I’m glad you weren’t pipped at the post by one of Mancini’s mercenaries.

Talking of which at least they have to try and beat Newcastle now, well one would hope anyway because I could easily see them getting our third spot.

I think that although Spurs and Chelsea can still overhaul us Newcastle are in the best position. I would think 6 points from our last two games will see us over the line and barring a disaster, we should manage that.

Winning at Stoke next week would all but guarantee that.

I was thinking about who we have fit left in our ranks that could help us do that this season and the return of Diaby would be a great asset at Victoria Road.

Chezzer

Sagna Kozzer Vermaelen Gibbs

Rosicky Song Diaby

Robin Chamakh Bennayoun

What Chamakh you all scream? Yes I would for this one, a bit of height in there for me is what we need. I leave Ramsey out as we don’t want him wetting the bed at the scene of the Ryan Shawcross horror tackle. So the inclusion of Diaby in there would be the right move.

I have always rated Diaby and he looked good when he came on against the chavs, my problem with him is he can’t stay uninjured for long, if he could he would be in my starting 11 every time. Lets see if he can stay fit for the run in, if he can he could make the difference, if he can’t it’s time to move him on.

If we qualify for the ECL, and by qualify I mean 3rd spot, then we should go into the market early and with intent.

That means no more bargain basement and no more unknowns.

Whatever happens this season cannot be considered anything other than a dismal failure. 10 losses and no trophies is unacceptable for a team like Arsenal. If any of you out there are crowing about the prospect of finishing third and Wenger’s greatest achievement blah, blah, blah then you have been conned big time.

I was thinking about what went wrong with Arshavin, the player who got 4 against Liverpool was rarely seen again, here’s my take.

I think Arshavin was a Gazidas buy, I think the board forced his hand and Wenger was never happy with that.

If my memory serves me right I also think all four of those goals came from the middle and the hole he loves to play in, he was forced out of position and with that his form went south.

Wenger was sulking and Arshavin paid the price, that’s only my opinion though and I could be wrong. (I doubt it though)

Either way we need to move him on with at least 10 others, with that money saved and received we could bring in Hazard, Verthnghen, Podolski and M’Via and those four would make the difference between us qualifying for Europe or winning in Europe.

I put Podolski in there as Pedro is convinced he’s coming, and I do like him, but I would prefer a Benzema.

The amount of players we have out on loan is scandalous and totally unnecessary, how many of our loanees ever make it? Very few I can tell you.

I would then seriously look for a left back and back up keeper with the change.

Talking of left backs I would even consider playing Santos as a wide man in the run in and move Bennayoun into the middle.

Lets face it, with three games to go we don’t have burn out to worry about do we!

It’s as simple as that, win them and we can’t be caught, unless Newcastle trounce Chelsea and City 10 nil apiece!

It’s great that it’s in our hands but with Stoke and West Brom away and Norwich at home, we could lose all three! However, I think we’ll get third.

So what happened yesterday? No damage was what happened, I thought it was even, but there were a few problems, Walcott is now out for the rest of the season, although some of you may think that will help us.

We get Bennayoun back which is exactly what we were missing yesterday, Song looked back to his old self, he looks like he wants to be somewhere else to me, still Coquelin is back and maybe we can use him in these tricky three games remaining.

I’m not going to do a match report because there was nothing in that game I can think of that was memorable. Ok I’ll try, Kozzer hit the bar with a superb header, Robin could have had a hat rick but Theo, next time you pull a hamstring kick the ball into touch, you did what Mertesacker did!

Wenger’s excuse was they played with three DM’s and were practising for the Barca match, perhaps you should have done something tactical then Arsene. Oh well never mind, we didn’t lose.

I did watch the QPR game though and even with 10 men you could see they had enough to see off a overrated spud team, quite amusing, but the best was the last, and watching Cesc and his band of short low centre of gravity mates get pipped by Maureen’s divers was poetic justice and Karma rolled into one. Enjoy your runners up medal Cesc.

We are after a young (21 year old) African named Acharaf Laazar, apparently the new Gareth Bale, well lets just hope he doesn’t look like him!

We have a week in between each game now, maybe we need to warm Jack up as we seem to really need a player like him for the run in. I thought Oxo had a stinker yesterday and although I think Gervinho is hopeless, at least he had a go, so we have that to hope for in the next three games.

Gervinho back to his very best!

I said a few weeks back that the reason we got to third was because the others were falling apart, I didn’t reckon on Newcastle though, but they have a very tough run in so its still up to us.

I’m not sure we will get the players we need if we don’t qualify, but then again if we do, I’m not sure he’ll think we need them!

There’s something to think about this fine Sunday, who do we need and who will he go for? If the new Gareth Bale is true, then he’s learned nothing from project youth, lets hope that’s just another silly rumour!

If our scouts were any good we should have bought the old one in the first place.

Have a great day Grovers, the final countdown begins and its in our own hands.

So RVP is a shoe in for PFA Player of the year this Sunday and the Football Writers player of the year the following week. Today we need to see why Robin, do us proud!

Jack won’t get the young player as due to overuse he missed the season, Oxo won’t get it either so that only leaves Wayne Rooney, yes I know he’s not young anymore and on his second head of hair but the Mancs got knocked out of Europe (twice) and the authorities felt sorry for them, so they will give it to Rooney again.

The chavs do have Mata and Sturridge that would qualify as young but they will probably get to the ECL final and that’s reward enough, oh and the reason they beat Barca this week was because they had a plan B. You know what a plan B is don’t you? It’s something that we don’t have, and that’s why all we are playing for is 3rd place, which for the record really isn’t a trophy, despite Pedro’s research of last week. Oops I mentioned that yesterday didn’t I.

So as we don’t have a plan B then we need to revert to the only plan we do have, plan A, and plan A beats the shit out of the chavs plan B all day long.

I had a call from a chav friend yesterday and he was going to the Grove followed by a trip to Barca, funny enough this time last year I was with him watching us go out at the Camp Nou, so I wished him luck.

You know what though? I didn’t mean it, I hope Messi gets 2 hat tricks! And they get stuffed by us both.

It’s time for this team to stand up and be counted, if we don’t win this we could end up out of Europe, we need to beat the chavs and beat them comfortably, if not we will be on edge for 90 minutes (its only 98 if we play the Mancs)

Robin needs to show us why he is the double player of the year, he needs to play a captains role and he needs to lead like example, if he does that the team will follow.

The feeling yesterday was no one wants Ramsey to play, the jist of what I’ve read is Ramsey will start, I would sooner that than Gervihno because I think he really is hopeless. I keep wanting him to prove me wrong but he seems to be getting worse, I remember when Eboue used to play for us, I used to say maybe he’ll come good as Wenger rates him, but after god knows how many games he failed to impress, Wenger let him out the back door only to never mention him again, I suspect Gervinho, Chamakh, Squillaci and Park will follow at some point, my worry is how long it will take.

Don’t forget Ramsey is the captain of Wales, he didn’t get that being useless!

Either way I hope he starts without him tomorrow.

If he has a blinder I will be delighted but I can’t see it to honest, I would sooner see Oxo out there.

Whatever team he picks we need to be at them from the start, shut them down and chase after every ball, we have the firepower to kill them and the defence to keep them out, but with Sturridge and Torres I would play Gibbs as I think Santos is too slow.

We have four games left, but this is the one we need to win to put a gap in between us and Chelsea. They still have the Champions league to win, the Scousers have the FA Cup and we have nothing but third, lose this and we won’t have third either.

The following is a rallying cry for the game, and one that is paying tribute to Pedro and his trip to Denmark, yes I went there to watch us lift the Cup Winners Cup against Parma, those were the days before we got obsessed with the ECL, not to mention it was the last Euro trophy we won.

However someone other than me and George Graham went there once before and that is the story I will tell, this team needs to play with that belief.

When Nelson went to Copenhagen 200 years ago he went up against a bigger fleet and massive shore guns and he still smashed the combined fleet. He put the telescope to his blind eye (and disobeyed orders) what ships? He said.

He then sailed between their fleet and the big guns, risked going aground and went in all guns blazing.

Sound familiar? A blind manager that never sees things, going up against a team with big guns? It’s an omen I tell you, we should play with a swagger and give them nothing, keep the ball, make the passes count (Alex), shoot on sight and believe.

There are some out there that see a repeat of last season and believe we will choke, not today we won’t, this is a different Arsenal, today we will cement third spot!

A couple more weeks and the season is over boys, then we’ll have 3 months off, make today count and remember Nelson.

I apologise to any Danish and French Grovers, the story is an analogy and not meant to offend.

Have a great day Grovers, today we need to win, finish third and move on.

So the official line is we have Diaby back, but we have to be careful with him, correct me if I’m wrong but haven’t we been careful with him since he joined us?

He doesn’t seem to have any shame, he really ought to give his salary back, he sure as hell has never earned it. I expect whatever he earns, he’s had at least 3 pay rises since he joined us, I have to say, and awful waste of much needed money.

I like Diaby, when he’s fit and contributing, but considering how often that is, he’s a luxury we can neither afford nor depend on.

We bought him on the same day we bought Theo and Adebayor, since then Theo has played over 200 games, Ade has played for us successfully, Man City who’s fans loved him, Real Madrid and now Tottenham, so to have been waiting on Diaby for that long is a bit of a French compatriot’s indulgence if you ask me.

It’s Ok having a player that has had an injury and not replacing him because he will be back, but we have had him for a crazy amount of time and he never comes back, as I said, I like him but he has stopped us having a decent midfielder playing in the team.

This really is a Wenger thing, he won’t buy players when we need them because we have others coming back, Rosicky was out for seasons, Robin was out for seasons, Frimpong has been out for seasons, Jack has been out for a season, and don’t forget we also lost Ramsey and Eduardo we also out for long periods. This season we have now lost Mertesacker and Arteta.

Now regardless of bad luck, we seem to always be at least 4 important players a season down, then when they return they take weeks if not months to get their form back, so for me its time to build a squad expecting to have injuries, because history has proved we do, every year.

Saturday is now shaping up to be our whole season in one game, beat the chavs and we get 3rd, lose and we’ll be facing elimination from Pedro’s coveted Champions League spot, I say Pedro’s, but I mean yours too as I saw the poll that shows its importance to Grovers.

There is no Coquelin, no Wilshere, no Frimpong and no Arteta so it will be Ramsey, I think his injury has caused his loss of form, but if the crowd get behind him, this game could be the one where it returns in spades.

If we were playing 3 tough games against top opposition in the space of 6 days, Wenger would have the perfect excuse for why we bombed, well we are the team that has been rested, we are at home and after the week the chavs have had we ought to belt them.

What Arsenal will turn up then, the Arsenal that beat City or the Arsenal that lost to Wigan, well let me tell you, if the Arsenal that beat City don’t arrive we can kiss goodbye to Champions league football.

You have 24 hours to feel good about Ramsey, I do already but the crowd need to as well.

The alternative is to put Oxo in the middle, hmmmm, I like Oxo but Chelsea are a big strong team, I would give him a run out if I thought Ramsey couldn’t do the job, but I think he’s too young to start, bring him on for impact, but don’t wait until the 67minute, do it when we need him. Aaron, don’t let me down!

The defence needs to be at their best as we will be facing Sturridge and the in form Torres, think about that Grovers and get ready for tomorrow, I will be rallying the troops like never before, because tomorrow is our biggest game for years, tomorrow is about survival at the top table of football!

Have a great day!

What? That's all I have.

This year Robin Van Persie will be 29, Rosicky 32 Benayoun 32, Arteta 30, Kozzer 27, Mertesacker 28, Vermaelen 27, Santos 29 and blimey, even Alex Song will be 25 and he is the current poster boy for project youth.

All the above players have been the bedrock of consistency this season when playing and fit, so what does that tell you? It should tell you that outside of a chosen few like Oxo, Cesc, Messi and Wilshere, players don’t become really good until they are past 25, look at the invincibles, what was their average age?

Add to that playing kids too early results in constant injuries and inconsistency, then the case for older ready made players has been proved, albeit inadvertently, by Wenger himself.

If he wants proof that playing kids gets injuries, listen to what Theo is saying, now he’s 23 he’s not afraid of injuries anymore, that comment alone proves my point. The point I’ve been making about project youth since 2005 that is.

Benayoun has angered so many chavs it’s laughable, the old crock has come back to haunt them, even I thought signing him on loan was a desperate act, well it was, but the gamble paid off!

Anyway, it should have taught us that raising a team of kids does nothing but make other teams happy, happy that we trained them and had them in our first team when they were learning their trade, then going to others when they were older and wiser, Cesc, Ade, Nasri to name but a few. Regardless of what people think of Nasri and Ade, they are good players.

Anyway, we need to move on and put this season behind us, hope that the manager has finally learned his lesson and pray that he will buy Robin what he needs to be unbeatable next season, and that isn’t kids.

Strangely enough I wouldn’t throw money at Robin, he has 18 months left on his contract so I would offer him a new one, but not a daft one, he owes us for 8 years on the treatment table and we owe him a few trophies, so use the money to bring in the talent we need to be a force. Make a statement.

We will qualify for Europe so attracting players won’t be a problem, I can’t remember the last time teams laughed at us for giving them a great loanee, Wilshere aside! So get shot of all the players we all know will never play for us and start again. Hoyte, Murphy, Bendtner, Denilson etc, etc you all know who I mean.

Then all the overpaid hapless players like Squillaci, Chamakh, Park, Fabianski and Almunia and if we pay them too much for other teams to take them then take the difference out of Wenger’s wages, he paid them.

Ok I know that won’t happen so cut our losses and pay them off, we can’t keep players that are rubbish because someone overpaid them, that’s insane.

Dempsey I like but not at his age, we should be looking at players from 25, unless they are exceptional like M’Vila or Goetze and stop buying players that take a year to work. Playing 30 year olds is fine, but buying them isn’t.

I also think signing a big name would send out a message and would be very tempted to go for a Hazard rather that shelling out massive pay rises. Players should get pay rises when we win things, not just to keep them.

I would like to think we’ll play Bennayoun on the left (this season) instead of Gervinho (when fit) because for me Gervinho hasn’t been that good and Benayoun has given much more to the team, and that’s what this team should have, players that deserve the spot and not certain peoples favourites.

Hopefully Jack will return to play for us soon, he seems fit enough to do Pepsi Max ads, I would love to see him back in this team, we would look even better.

Okay, if you are all expecting a sugar coated Pedro post, look away, this is a Geoff post and I’m not on whatever Chamakh and the other useless Wenger signings are smoking.

So we all know the power Wenger wields at Arsenal but does he now design the kit?

If the leaks we see everywhere are for real regarding our new kit then it’s a disgrace and absolute proof if you need it that this club is rotten from the top down.

Screwing around with the design is one thing, but this shirt hasn’t been designed, it’s like everyone has been asked for their opinion and its been slapped together, its an insult to creative people and I know, that’s what I do for a living, if one of my staff put that forward, their feet wouldn’t touch the ground, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out I would have said.

Enough on that as I can’t seriously believe it will be our new kit and I don’t believe they would let Wenger loose on designing it, but it sure looks like it doesn’t it???

Can we beat City? You bet we can, but then I would have thought we could have beaten QPR to be honest.

To lose 9 games this season should be classed as nothing other than failure, forget the team we had, Wenger picked it, forget the fact that the others are conspiring to be as bad, that’s their fault and our good fortune, with the money managers get, not to mention the players, we should be doing better.

Wenger is making noises again about new signings, well he does that every year doesn’t he, then we get no one of note and everyone says he was waiting for the January window, then he buys no one, we get knocked out of everything, we limp over the line and everyone says he’ll have a clear out and use the money to strengthen in the summer, trouble is he never does, he weakens it by selling more players, well every year sing 2004 that is. Since he lost his marbles and bought into project youth.

Then he complains that Man City are buying all his players, funny that, I thought all of those players had Arsenal contracts, I wasn’t aware Wenger was made, under torture to sell them to Man City.

He does however strengthen his own pocket, as well as that of his players, every year without fail, he also makes sure the fans pay more as well, but we should be grateful because we qualify for the Champions league, you know that trophy we have no chance of winning because we have a manager that never buys the talent we need to do that.

Back to the City game, yes we can win that, we are at home, we almost beat them away, we’ve had a week and a day off and we can’t play that badly again. Then everyone will forget last week and we’ll be gunning for third place again, the only trophy left.

Wenger is backing the Mancs to win the title, hmmmm 5 points clear with 7 games to go and the easier run in, he really is a footballing knowledge isn’t he! Makes you wonder why we weren’t going for the title instead, we could have bought Jones and Young had we done our business early, but we decided the second week in August made more sense.

Well we need to have a good look at next season, Ryo isn’t the answer, he’s still a kid like Oxo, Jack will be a great but he’s still a kid too, we need some ready mades and we need some trophies, because no one in their right minds will be buying shirts, not unless we stick Messi in one of them, that’s for sure, you would think the board would know that wouldn’t you? They really haven’t got a clue.

So now we have the spuds level with us and Newcastle 2 points behind, blimey, if we don’t watch it we could end up in 6th and all those players we will never buy won’t want to come because we aren’t in the competition we will never win, now how’s that for sods law!

And that really illustrates why we should spend some money on decent players when we need them, if we beat City on Sunday we should sneak through, but we need to win, because after this it’s a couple of bottom feeders followed by the chavs.

Enjoy the game Grovers, it will soon all be over and we can at least look forward to watching Jack, Oxo Theo and Gibbs in the Euros, with them in it and playing in their real positions, maybe England can win it! Who knows eh!

So all those people that were convinced we had signed Podolski may have been wrong. Arsenal did their usual bit where you weren’t sure and thought Wenger was playing it cool, well I believed the stories were made up by our ‘make up a renewal story’ department, and news of him wanting to go to Lazio seem to back that up.

I hope you weren’t suckered.

Other news is that Vertonghen wants to play for us. That’s great, I hope it’s true and I hope we nail him to a wall before he changes his mind, he is just what we need.

All we now need is for the chavs and spuds to start losing, I think they will, City want to win the league so they will smash the chavs, the spuds may have the easier run in but we lost to an awful lot of the lower in league teams, so I see no reason why they won’t now, especially after their last few games, losing 3 on the spin is hard to come back from, we know all about that don’t we?

Hazard will not be coming to Arsenal, he costs too much and is already a star so Wenger can’t take the credit for him.

Arsene, spending £8mil on a 16 year old (Theo) and waiting 7 years for him to get better is no different to paying £30million on an already proven 21 year old now. Oh except we don’t have to wait 7 years, the costs are still the same.

I know, that’s too obvious isn’t it!

For those out there that say we have to get behind this team, I know, I am always behind this team, I support Arsenal. However there comes a time when someone in the club needs to point out a few obvious things and as no one dares to stand up to the manager, I have to and until he changes things or his ruinous policies, then I most certainly will.

Next up Everton, tough game but Liverpool beat them, and we beat Liverpool, providing we play with the same pace and commitment, I can’t see anyone beating us in the run in, third place beckons and it’s the first time all season I have felt this confident, don’t forget, although 4th spot isn’t a trophy, 3rd most definitely is!

Have a great day Grovers, the sun has got his hat on!
