Apologies for the late post. Internet connection isn’t a Spanish strength. Nor was my desire to hunt out said connection. So this post is a short one, based on zero news insight.
Champions League is back on the agenda. We kick off our campaign with an opener against Marseille. I’m not sure how good they are, because Ligue One isn’t a pull for me. However, I can make a few guesses. They’re probably not a good as PSG.
I’m expecting a tough game, but really, we should be taking three points. An imperative as we’re at home. If we don’t, we’ll find ourselves with a bit of a problem. Dortmund and Napoli are a tasty couple of teams. They’ll both have bedded in their new players by the time we arrive as well.
I’m not sure how the team is going to line up… but word on the street is Giroud might be injured. Total bummer if true. The decision to not purchase a striker really could be our undoing this season… all the supply, one person to finish it off!
‘He is the player at the moment that would be very difficult [to replace]‘
It’ll be a nice occasion to get Ozil out in front of the home fans… hopefully he’ll impress with a dominant performance. I’m also excited to see Ramsey again… he’s really playing well at the moment. A pleasure to watch.
Santi Cazorla is also an injury doubt, the little man has been non stop for four seasons, he news to be wrapped in cotton wool. I’m not sure how we’ll line up. Sanogo to start? A bit raw. Maybe Theo Walcott down the middle? Would Wenger bring Gnabry into the set up? This is getting stretched eh?
A nice compact performance should do the trick. Tight at the back free flowing going forward. With no injuries… and no rain either.
Normal posting resumes tomorrow.
Update: the game is Wednesday. And it’s away. Fixture fail in my calendar!
