‘Wolves play good football’ he said. ‘They always look dangerous going forward and they make it tough for everybody’
Really? Does he ever say ‘Boys we ought to win this one, it’s only Wolves’ No, does he ever say anything about any team other than they are tough? No. Still I suppose if he did we would be accused of disrespect and such.
If we could ever have an easy game it would be QPR, and we have them next, so we really should be going into 4th place today and with the right attitude, staying up there, if the spuds get a kicking against Norwich we’ll start reeling them in too.
All the sites are full of news about Chamberlain and how Wenger is about to unleash him on the English Premier League, I remember feeling the same excitement about Theo, I still get excited about Theo, I have been a supporter of his for years, I have also said he will be Arsenal and England’s saviour and will one day prove it.
People still forget how old he is, he’s still 2 years younger than Cesc, he’s still a kid, I have always believed we have some fantastic young players but they will only be great when they get older, Cesc and Robin are testament to that.
This is why I am a big believer in mixing youth with experience, but please don’t get old age mixed up with experience and just because you are 30 it doesn’t mean that’s the experience we need, Squillaci is a great example of that.
We still need someone to replace Cesc and we still need someone to replace Nasri, we haven’t done that, Arteta for me barely covered the loss of Hleb. We sure as hell haven’t replaced Ade so I feel if we just invested in proper replacements we could really kick on. We have the opportunity to do that now and would be foolish if we didn’t.
We desperately need a forward to play with Robin, Chamakh is hopeless and from what I’ve seen of Park he won’t be the answer, so someone needs buying, then in the summer we need to sell all these loanees.
When Tiger Woods burst onto the scene no one could touch him he was so far ahead. The Chavs and the Mancs did that with their massive spending, then Shitty did similar and Kenny and twitchy came and joined the party, so the bar has been raised like it was with Tigger.
We almost matched shitty the other day but for me there was only one winner, bringing on Arshavin and Chamakh didn’t do it, we needed to bring on two that would have made a difference, if we did that we could be something else, and that would only be replacing what we lost not splashing out on top talent we can’t afford.
Today we need to go out and spank Wolves, go into the second half ahead of the chavs and send a message out to the Premiership, they already know what we have, let’s add to that and surprise them.
My team for today would be this.
Cheeper
Miquel Kozzer Mertesacker Vermaelen
Song Arteta Yossi
Gervinho Robin Chamberlain
I would put Miquel in there ahead of Djourou or Kozzer and replace Kozzer with Miquel in the middle. This team is picked to rest some, give others their chance and allow Robin to crash the record.
I also think it’s time to have a clear out, Diaby has to go, we have waited far too long so he needs replacing, for me he is taking the piss, go out and buy Mario Goetze or Gourcuff and use the Cesc and Diaby money to do it.
We need a big win today, the sort of thumping the Mancs dish out, if we can’t do that we can’t compete and today should show us what we need.
We have a lot of top young ‘uns but we need to help them out.
I have a great feeling about this week, 6nil today followed up by a 4niller against QPR, Spurs to drop points and us to be in 3rd place by the first week in January.
There you can’t be more positive than that can you! Have a top day Grover’s and may the force be with you.

Gerv,
Good goal, but again, faded away with the game. Had a few runs and drives, but still far away from the needed end product, 6.5
Robin,
Was a man on a mission to smash that record. Clearly was nervous and emotional, that’s why he was too selfish in few occasions, and missed too many setters, that usually he gets, 6
Subs,
Rambo,
Missed a great chance, tried to change that game, 6
AA23,
Tried, but it’s a pain to watch such an uninterested player in his team, thanks Arsene you ruined such a super talent, 5.5
Chamakh,
Almost sidelined Robin. Chased a ball and passed it to someone. Nothing else that I can remember. Oh, and the gel helped to stop the blood…., 5
Arsene,
King of failure, as always. How can he not spur the team to shoot out the second half? After the interval, the players seemed more relaxed than urgent. Complacency all over, apart from a good few minutes around the 66.
Again the changes and the reactions to the game were very late ones. Again couldn’t drive up the team’s spirit.
Again playing players out of position. Yossi played a good few games for us when played in midfield, and our genius manager spotted that so he started him on the flanks. Fuck me Arsene you are so pathetic a manager, 3
And would want to keep my positive spirit and say Arsene will look at this game and understand he needs to open his wallet and bring in a new blood in, but we all know he won’t
Robin is our barometer. When he’s having an average game, we look as a casual mid-table team, in the Everton mould. There is always a good spirit but no end product and too often dependent on the occasional goals….
Oh me,
When that annual sideline spell comes, we’re going to struggle
When that February-March dip will come, we will fall deep deep in the league table….
IT will be a disaster happening in a slow motion
to: Kingman5
you would have got the most ‘dislikes’ if there was such a mechanism. Most ppl here are after Wenger; not the team. The team is doing their best…we don’t expect a championship materials to perform any .
hooo hooo LOLZ. ‘Disaster in slow motion’. Like that tons, Bade!
How do we measure Fan-trust? How does Wenger go and prove that he he enjoys fans’ trust/confidence/support…OR Does he at all have to do that…?
And, similarly…how can we show the entire world, in most unambiguous way, that we want Wenger to fuck off????
Can Le-Grove help?
Wenger has reiterated again in today’s L’Equipe that there will be no signings in midfield (In Jan) as he will be relying upon Diaby and Wilshere who are due to return.
Diaby is porcelain, I wouldn’t rely on him for anything.
Scream Wenger OUT! all you want it won’t change anything as long as the boards relation with him is scratch our backs we’ll scratch yours.
If anyone has to change their motivation or just get kicked out it has to be lot of them.
By the way do goalkeepers reserve their best games for us or do we have a way of making them look good?
wenger out!!!
The Mail ripped the players a new one this morning
Quote “Gervinho wouldn’t even get in the Wolves team with his lack of finishing and running into a dead end”
I’m really surprised that arsenal fans are not worried about sp*rs!!! How they look to have over taken us!!
bade you got a lot more than sex this morning
Thats another thing i despise about wenger, speaking to the French media about his plans for Arsenal but not making the same statements public knowledge in England, he is a coward and a scum bag.
If he is relying on Jack and the waste of space diaby to save our season that just goes to show what a selfish, un-ambitious, senile tosser he really is.
Pierre if Wenger is saying that about relying on Diaby then it may be much worse than first feared.
rob yes the spud’s have temporarily taken over on current form but ‘arry can’t go on forever?
Not quite so smug now eh – maybe Monsieur Wenger is more prophetic than you think
Of course we have to understand that Wenger won’t admit publicly, when directly asked if he intends to sign certain players. It’s in his interest to rather reject and play down such speculation, in terms of bargaining….
He was also asked about Henry in L’Equipe and brushed it off, suggesting there was nothing new.
Going by his entire interview, it seems like it will be a very barren winter transfer window – if you take him for his word, which would be a mistake in my opinion.
There is a difference though between not mentioning any names but admitting we need to strengthen and stating that we are going to rely on a kid that has been injuried for all the season so far and a guy that has been injuried most of his life. scandalous.
I don’t buy into total doom and gloom- but I do buy into scepticism about Wenger and the ambitions of the club. Wenger combines astute judgement about very young players with complete ineptitude about the strike force necessary to succeed. He is employed by the club because he makes some of the the shareholders money- no other reason-he talks a good game and he knows his employers really don’t want success- because success in the form of achievement results in increased salaries which drive up their costs and reduce their profits. Their only reason for encouraging talk about buying players is to encourage investment. Talk is where it ends. It is a con. When will the fan base see him for what he is -an employee?
There will be no major signings in January- our club are looking to reduce costs and sell players not buy more expensive players. Don’t believe me? Just wait.
6 Nil my Arsenal!
