Injury woes or rested players? / Manchester turmoil! / Oxlade to start?

by & filed under Uncategorized.

So lots of drama in the Champions League last night, plenty to chuckle about based on the forward assumption that we’re going to tear Olympiacos a new one this evening.

First up was that Manchester United conceded a 2 goal lead against FC Basel. They ended up 3-2 down before Ashley Young stepped up to the mark and levelled. United have a weak defence this year, De Gea for me is no Premiership keeper at the moment and his flappability has acted as a nervous contagion in the back 4. The main thing keeping them going is their front line. As we know, that form can’t last forever…

My reckoning? Barely top 4 this year…

Man City suffered at the class of Bayern Munich last night. Two goals from Gomez went without reply which was heartening. Bayern really are a team filled with quality. Ribery and Schweinsteiger are superb players. Gervinho reminds me a little of the beastly Frenchman, and I’m not talking about his penchant for buxom 17 year olds.

The bonus ball from that game was that Tevez told the manager he wouldn’t come on as a sub. Yep, leader by example, on pitch footballing hero, Carlos Tevez, would not play. Hilarious stuff. What a pathetic sulker! Mancini said he’d never play for the club again. What does that do for his value? £220k a week, long-term contract, unappealing attitude… I’d have him on loan!

Cringe moment of the night? Mark Hughes defending his behaviour because he shares the same failed used car salesman agent. Pathetic, embarrassing and hopefully a comment so shameful Chairmen around the world will take note and move him even further down the pecking order than he already is.

I guess this incident is the flip side of holding a player against their will. You have to remember that footballers are like children, they don’t know hardship and they don’t understand that sometimes you have to fulfil a contract you were foaming at the mouth to sign.

If we’d kept Cesc would we have faced the same problems? Or would we be in the situation Spurs are. Their man Modric is just about to pen a £100k deal to stay long-term. He’s forgotten his ambition of trophies and he’s getting on with it putting in performances like last year.

It’s a fine line to tread. My opinion is that the club should come before players feelings providing it’s all legal.

Arsenal…

Arsenal’s injury problems continued. Theo, Koscielny and Gervinho add to the growing list of problems. I think they’re more precautionary. If I was to hazard a guess, I’d say they’re being rested for Sundays game.

Wenger spoke about the Wilshere injury withdrawing speculative blame from the medical staff.

I don’t know how many times I have to say this, injuries are not the fault of the medical team. If Jack has a stress injury, that’s most likely a result of being put under 56 games of stress. If it didn’t heal quick enough, that’s not Colin Lewin’s problem. You can’t keep blaming the doctor for catching the flu…

I think Wenger is way off the mark when he tries to rewrite history by saying most wanted Jack to go to the under 21 championships. That’s simply not true, a tiny percentage of the press wanted to go, most acknowledged it was a ridiculous ask on almost every level.

Chezzer
Sagna   Mertesacker   Song   Gibbs
Arteta   Frimpong   Ramsey
Arshavin   Robin   AOC

Now, I’d be tempted to give AOC a run in the side. Theo’s pace is a massive asset to us and Alex comes somewhere close to what he offers, bar a bit more skill going round players and a touch more surprise due to his newness.

This game comes with a high importance tag. We need to win all our home games and I’m confident we’ll deliver. Alex Song in central defence always scares me, but I’d surprised if he’s put under too much pressure tonight. That gives an opening for Coquelin or Frimpong. I’d opt with the Ghanain for power and pace. Though Coquelin’s composure probably suits the Champions League. It’ll be an interesting night!

The second Champions League home game, let’s tear the roof off the ground and build a bit of momentum heading into the game on Sunday!

How are you lining up tonight? What do you think of Tevez and his childish behaviour? Let us know in the comments!

P.S. I have 3 spares for Marseille next week and I have a number of singles floating around for tonight. E-mail for more info.

P.S. There are spares galore for tomorrow night and I have 3 going for Marseille next week. E-mail for details.

yandi the boy is young. He can provide a killer pass and needs better players round him. He is a good player but the game passes him by a little at the moment. When he learns the positional side of the game he will be a class act. Our fans want him to be great coz he is English and he does have the attributes. He is better than Rosicky and denilson

  2. Goon with the wind

Ivory I never mentioned the card. I was referring to your tone about le arse. Just thought that we have all the time in the world to blog the negative stuff, so after a win lets just enjoy it!! There were good things, why ALWAYS the bad??

Plus would you not say chamberlain is an improvement on Walcott, didn’t hear you mention that.

i was aiming it at you ivory, because unlike others ( gambon et al) you have a brain and articulate yourself nicely, even though I assume you are not English, Ivorian?

any way didn’t mean to ruffle your feathers old boy, i’ll try to aim my rantings at others in future.

Rosicky was finished last season already! Not tonight. After that Carling Cup final performance, I gave up on him. Wenger didn’t, and now he’s wearing the armband, after Djourou wore it last week.

What’s it called again…? Oh yeah, shared leadership.

  4. Radio Raheem

Profit Mohammed is quite funny to be fair.

I think Walcott and Gervinho will start if they are fit. Walcott’s got good stats.

  5. patthegooner

Emirates looked pretty empty again tonight (especially at club level)

I know Wenger put this down to financial problems in the world and a few shit results but I think he has missed the real reason.

Those gaps have been growing in size and frequency for a few seasons now. It is more down to whats on show. We are not playing the beautiful football from a few seasons ago. Sure there are glimpses but nothing compared to days of old.

Also the key reason is look at the standard of the players on the park. I guarantee that 2 world class players bought in to the club in Jan would have that place sold out and packed to the rafters until the end of the season.

Quick one on Tevez. What an idiot, I do believe that a lot of this has been lost in translation and it has been blown out of proportion. However Proportion as it was was still completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

I just think he wants to be the big fish in the pond and at City with Aguero and Dzeko, he has to share that pond with bigger and currently better fish.

That said, fuck all that, I doubt we could afford the wages but I would take advantage and have him at Arsenal in Jan in a shot. Him and RVP would be immense and again, you just watch the likes of RVP and Vermaelen sign new deals if we started bringing in players like Tevez.

  6. patthegooner

Did anyone hear the interview on Talksport with Stuart Pearce earlier.

He has gone up in my estimations big time. Would not mind his passion as a replacement for Pat Rice next year.

  7. IvoryGoonz

    incesc:
    a) 2 good results in 2 CL games, 1 away, 1 home, make them the top of the group.
    b) Arsenal with a better manager than what Wenger is now, say Deschamps (and no, I didn’t say “I wanted him and only him” – that’s for the other transformer around), would be top of the group now.
    c) “they have less league points in a worse league than arsenal”
Arsenal is 17th, with 4 points, 11 from the top last time I checked.
Marseille is now 13th with 7 points, only 10 points from top after playing the hardest teams already, especially Lyon away, Lille, etc…
strength of the league itself has got nothing to do in the comparison of points. Truth is Arsenal and OM are more and more of the same level, but you have all underestimated OM, and some still overrate our current Arsenal.
either you misread me, or it’s just too easy to just shoot on the target painted in red.

  8. Yandi

    SUGA

That team is going to get murdered on Sunday!

Bale, Defoe, Adebayor, van der Vaart, Lennon and Modric against that lot… Jesus Christ….

Form and (especially) class aren’t things you turn on and off. We have neither in the team at the moment. I’d be shocked if we picked up a point, let alone all three.

  9. Goon with the wind

    Pathe

I think it’s very likely we will see some high quality investment in jan. Van Persie will make sure of that…. ;-)

Oh BTW grovers, what do you make of the rumours coming out of spain that madrid want Wenger, again??!! No wonder maureen has issues with him!!!

  10. patthegooner

Just really honest lurch. Said that as a coach he is not ready to manage the England senior squad yet and needed to get out and gain valuable experience in club football.

Basically he did not want to be a Mclaren and just take the job at the earliest opportunity. He wants to build his reputation and take the job later in his career. Said that there were better men for the job than him currently.

  11. Goon with the wind

obviously not!!! Any way nice to meet all of you crazy cats. I got told about this place by a mate and he said it can get a little fiery!! It seems he was right, peace and good night. Oh and a bon nuit especially for Ivorygoonz

  12. Ricky

Everyone looked poor today.. Bar oxo who for he’s age & considering it’s he’s first appearance in this level, deserves all the props he gets IMO

Arshavin, rosicky, chamakh, Ramsey & frimpong were shockingly poor.. Santos’s positioning was just as bad as Gibbs, mertersacker looked like he was on another planet & even the ever reliable sagna looked off sort tonight.

Apart from szczesny, rvp, sagna & maybe arteta right now we can’t rely on anyone else.

  13. Yandi

Walcott’s got good stats says Radio Raheem

Denilson also did. Rember what Wenger said about him?

    http://www.espnstar.com/football/champions-league/news/detail/item208102/Wenger:-Denilson-deserves-credit!/

“I am surprised how little credit he got for what he has delivered since the start of the season,” said Wenger.

“He does not talk too much, but he is very efficient.

“If you look at the numbers and the amount of balls he wins, he is one of the top midfield players in the country on many indexes.

Wenger added: “He has improved tactically in his first pass and physically in the challenge. He is much stronger than a year ago.

“You can see today when he makes a tackle, he wins the ball. I am convinced he will be even stronger in six months.”

And where is Denny right now?

  14. patthegooner

Just a bit of passion goon with the wind.

One thing we all have in common is our love of Arsenal. We just have different opinions and often strong opinions.

Some people take it too far, but at least here you dont get told to go and support the Chavs or Shitty for sharing your views.

  15. Yandi

Think we’ll draw with OM at home and probably get beaten at the Velodrome. Our away record in the Champions League is shocking to say the least. And now with an even worse team, I don’t think there’s hope of changing that anytime soon. The key games for me are Dortmund at home and Olympiakos away. OM will win this group… I think that’s certain.

  16. patthegooner

Think you are wrong on Mertesacker and Santos Ricky

I thought they both played really well.

Mertesacker knows when to hoof it, and does not look like there is a fuck up just waiting to happen at any second.

I think he is one of those players that just does the simple things well and as such will always be underated.

Santos looked more solid that Gibbs and made some telling tackles and interceptions. Though the run, cross and eventual finish was top class too.

As for Frimpong, you can see he has some quality. The problem is he should be showing that out on loan somewhere and not as a learning curve in the Arsenal 1st team.

agree on the others though, they were shite.

  17. eastofthelea

Stuart Pearce , north london boy, well nw to be exact. Use to see
him down the pub when a teenager drinking his orange squash.
he was playing for wealdstone at the time.

  18. Goon with the wind

Pathe ,,, passion is fair enough. I have a problem with relentless negativity, at the expense of anything positive. it is bad form, and not what any type of fan wants 1 minute after a vital win. Although, i was warned that Le grove is a little negative so I shouldn’t criticise to much. After all I am new to this place and I don’t wang to get the regulars grumpy, which I seem to have already done! oops

  19. patthegooner

and Mertesacker is just the kind of player we needed in there.

Just wait until we are playing Sagna, Vermaelen, Mertesacker and Santos across the back four. With a defensive coach and an experienced DM, that line up could be very very strong.

  20. Radio Raheem

    Yandi

I think Denilson regressed after that season. If Chamberlain continues improving he’ll be starting in place of Theo next season regardless of how much Theo improves I feel. As frustrating as Theo is to watch it’ll be hard to bench him at the mo’, he has got good assists and goals stats this season.

  21. patthegooner

Oh well goon with the wind, I am sure you wont lose any sleep.

I think you will always get the ultra negative and the ultra positive. Keep visiting though, its good to have fresh opinions on here.

I always try and pick out the positives and negatives, but on occaisions I do like a good rant.

  22. incesc

    i hope so pathegooner

we need verm fit soon as possible and for those 5 to get a run together so we can start tightenning those bolts a bit and get it all under control.

at the moment its never even close to the same line up game after game

  23. gambon

    Oh deary deary deary me…

Goon with the wind……claims hes a newbie on here who was directed by a friend….yet comes out with:

    “Gambon predictable as ever”

Well, well, well……I somehow think we are dealing with a certain cuntybilly here.

  24. patthegooner

    eastofthelea

So what do you think? Good replacement for Pat Rice next season?

I know Pearce has no ties to the club, and I know he and Wenger have had a difference of opinion a few times, but maybe that passion for the game as a whole would be a good thing. Not only that but our first team squad is very young and he is pretty good at coaching the u-21′s

I dont think it would ever happen, but IMO it would be a good move

  25. IvoryGoonz

Rohan: “The last time you checked was over a week ago. Looks like you’re up to date with Marseilles results than ours………”
    ———
the yester-last-time I had checked was just a couple of days ago for both when someone actually told the same crap, as no, despite what you dumbass can think, I dont check everyday OM’s points just when I see some stupid statement.
The last time I checked, was today, for both, and for Arsenal points, Barclays only updated after I posted it, you dont have to trust me, but I copied that from their own site when I posted, and they just updated it to Arsenal 12th, with 7 points. basically just 2 loss away from same start as OM but again, OM played harder fixtures for them than we did.

Incesc: “We’ll beat you” -> well, fuck yourself too incesc, you didnt get it either. Im an Arsenal fan first, but Im also a realist. And I aint gonna keep on getting blind for people who dont really like sport, but just ranting against other teams

  26. patthegooner

Right that is me for the night.

Not a vintage performance but a few weeks ago, if you had offered me 4 points after an away trip to dortmand and a home tie with Olympiacos, I would have snapped your hand off.

Havent mentioned it, but Arteta is getting better and more influential game by game!!!! The energy and desire he showed to get across and clear that ball off the line was fucking awesome.

no, I think we’ll beat them.

  28. Yandi

    pat

Think the jury’s still out on Santos. Strong performance tonight though and something to build on. He looked suspect against Blackburn. Let’s see him perform against top class opposition

  29. Ricky

    I don’t know pat,

My first game at the emirates this season & I gotta say I’ve never seen an arsenal side as gutless & error prone as these lot..

I agree with tv5 back in defence we will be much stronger but our midfield looks so weak without young jack or any other quality players & the defenders are being made to pay for this.

    God help us come Sunday.

  30. goonerboy

The result was positive-considering the inexperienced team we fielded. Thankfully we were only playing Olympiakos-a team with one of the worst away records in the ECL.

Every game we have played this season we have looked wide open defensively-and have ridden our luck or required incredible saves to defeat even moderate opposition like Swansea.

We all know that the AKB care so little about the team’s results they are happy to see our most experienced players line up for the opposition as long as it keeps the balance sheet looking good in the short-term.
Martin Samuel is absolutely- right we have become a feeder club and have helped put Man City on the map by selling them 3 top players.
I have not lost faith in Arsenal-but see this lot of custodians as short changing the fans and making shocking business decisions.

  31. Dutchman

I think that some people are missing the point.

Ramsey,Frimpong,Rosicky and Arshavin are fucking shit. And should not wear an arsenal shirt again.

I love Frimpong, but he is just not ready.
Ramsey is overrated as hell. When we have a counter, he always fucks it up. He can’t give that killer pass and he loses the ball waay to much.
Wenger better doesn’t play Rosicky anymore. He is soooo shit, but we knew that already.
Arshavin is the most lazy and uninterested player ever, i hate it and i never liked him.

For me, the Line-up against tottenham:

    Chezzer
    Sagna-Per-Kos-Santos
    Coquelin-Song-Arteta
    AOC-RvP-Gervinho

    Pretty good line-up…..

But we need at least two players in January. A creative player and a DM. M’villa and Gotze/Hazard

We really need some more worldclass players and with Jack’s injury we need a replacement. Fuck wenger for not replacing him.

  32. SUGA3

both goals are a massive positive, Ox managed to dribble nicely without any fear, I like that and the Santos’ one was coolness personified, did not drop his head when Chamwank inevitably fucked up the chance, like!

  33. IvoryGoonz

    Yandi:
Think we’ll draw with OM at home and probably get beaten at the Velodrome.
    ——
I think we might well draw with OM at Velodrome, despite everything, and we’ll win at home. But that will still be just, and will depends on Dortmund/Olympiakos as I said earlier…

  34. Goon with the wind

what is a cuntywilly? that sounds disgusting!! btw I based my opinion on you by back reading reading some of the comments sections, bit sad I know but whatever conspiracy you are suggesting is way off matey!

that’s how we ended up were we are…

  36. eastofthelea

Not sure pat, didn’t do that great for city; granted it may have
come to early for him. Back down the pub in the seventies i was
a bit of a commie and he was more with the other lot , if your of
a certain age you’l know what i mean, not to read to much into
that we where just kids but didn’t really get to know him.

Talking of nutters to fill that role; roy keane ?

  37. Dutchman

And i hope that wenger sees that we need some worldclass players, and if he doesn’t we will be mid-table. Surely he sees that we miss quality..??! That we are the worst team from him ever. He really can’t not see it!!

But i think that we can do better, when we give Arteta a free roll and put Coquelin in a box-to-box position. It will give us a lot more balance and we won’t give the ball away so many as we do when ramsey is in midfield.

But come on guys, if we are 10th in January, surely wenger will spend his money??!!

  38. SUGA3

    @raymondverheije raymond verheijen

Top players don’t just give respect to their manager for nothing. A manager has to earn the respect of top players. That’s how nature works.

  39. IvoryGoonz

Goonwinthewind: you only seem to see the negative, that’s the problem, and then put it on “Random” name.
just go to yesterday’s post, you’ll see where we ended with Suga and Lurch.

  40. Goon with the wind

My god this the one strangest experiences, are you accusing me of being someone else?, and gambon why the fuck do you want to know where I am from and who the funk is Pedro?? This gets stranger by the minute

  41. IvoryGoonz

Suga3: and just to say, I like Santo’s goal very much, he didn’t just try to cross and that’s it, he followed and burried, something we wouldnt have seen from Clichy, and not sure we’ll see from Gibbs before a couple of years

  42. Honest Bill

    Thanks SUGA3 and Ivory.

Great goals. Chamberlain has a big future with us hopefully, and it’s nice to have an attacking WB who can actually attack.

  43. Goon with the wind

Lurch my mate’s name is Al if you must know, he’s an iranian born gooner from the heart. Whats with the godamm interegation?? He reads them all too, don’t think he posts but i’ll ask him. hope that answers your question lerouge

  44. IvoryGoonz

Lurch: yeah, bit worried of the “turn-around”.
I hope at least they all get enough rest to recover, we need our injured players back asap, or it’s gonna become very, very difficult to field a 50% of our first 11 as long as the fixtures list is loaded, with 2 times internationals the next 2 months, tough tough.

  45. Radio Raheem

“I am losing track of time – when you get older, that is what happens to you!” – Pat Rice

Hmmmnnnn can we trust this guy to coach our defenders right???

    *just dooming*

  46. Gunner4Real

Good result, but a shaky performance.

Asharvin is finished as far as I’m concerned.

Arteta, is nothing like the midfielder we need. He can’t keep the ball nor can he pick a pass. Now its seems he only looked decent because of the players around him at Everton. This is different class for him.

We are going to run Sagna to the ground. The guy is solid.

Chamakh cannot use his legs, I wonder what he does in training.

Ox is going to become a very good player, but fitness is currently letting him down.

Song was solid in defence and Santos had a decent game. If only the midfielders could pass the ball infront of him. Kept getting passes behind him.

  47. Lurch LeRouge

IG I think we have to scratch the individual poor performances down to the partial fact they don’t have much match time together.

Take any of those midfielders and stick em in a regular xi and they’d have found rhythm sooner.

Unfortunately that certainly doesn’t explain Chamakh’s absolute retardation, spastic to the nth degree.

  48. Radio Raheem

Pat Rice, by his own admission, has lost the sense of time. This paddy is losing his marbles. He might be suffering dementia. What is happening to my club aye? What next are we going to employ Muhammed Ali as our manager? Facking hell

  49. Ricky

I’m off to get some kip my fellow grovers..

Hopefully another lovely day tomorrow so we can do some real talent scouting in the sun. :)

  50. Lurch LeRouge

not just that Suga3, 5th club to reach 200 goals in champs league.

We ain’t performing like one at the min, but thats a ‘big club’ statistic to be proud of.

  51. IvoryGoonz

RR: we are only allowed one Muhammed at the club, and he’s named Profit :)
    Gambon: what is he wearing?
Lurch: I think so too. Thats what I meant by turn around, and with players getting injured all the time, how much longer is it gonna take for all to understand each others?
Id like at least for one year to get all our signings and frailties identified and signed early, so that we can have good pre-season.

  52. Gunner4Real

AOC cannot start against Spurs, he faded away after his goal tonight.

If you were in the stadium you will notice he struggled to get back.

He can come in as a sub.

  53. gnarleygeorge9

    Pedro

    Nice goal by Oxlade-Campbell

As for Tevez, the problem lies with football in general, allowing unlimited spending by the mega rich. Manchester City are the disgrace. And where was Na$ri? Sitting on the bench as well suffering from the Arsenal curse. May it be a long & drawn out process for that money grabbing turd

  54. gnarleygeorge9

chamakh seems to be getting better these daze Gooby. Him in form & scoring/assisting may just be like another signing ;)

  55. zeus

Recon when Alex becomes proper match fit Walcott will be relegated to his rightful position of super-sub.

No cross come shot from the Ox. Early signs show Wenger was probably right to spend that much on him.

  56. DaleDaGooner

Some of you are really funny, posting a lot of fuckups and begging the question, are ya really Arsenal fans?? Oh and using “It’s Olimpiacos for fuck sake” Basel would have thrashed Manure at Old Trafford yesterday…get some perspective guys

Great win, I agree that Frimpong was poor today, but hell, a lot on here wanted him to replace the ever underrated Song, what a midfielder/CB

RAMSEY?, OVERRATED, I CAN’T STAND HOW HE PLAYS.

And dissing or taking constant shots at Chamakh…smh…Well Torres for 50m would satisfy me as well, cause he used to be great for Atleti and Liverpool, but has scored what for Chelsea?? Berbatov as well, he was top scorer wasn’t he? But what has Fergie done to him?

    Delighted at Chamberlain!
Clichy who? Thanks Mancini from that nightmare, Santos will give us 5 goals minimum from LB.

I like Rosicky’s turns and ballet dance, …..

Arshavin was not in this game, he had 3 or 4 surges and just seemed out of it, thought he’d get subbed early for Park.

On that note, the usual doom has us out of this group with Dortmund and OM moving ahead…do me a favor, why bother support Arsenal?

  57. Goon with the wind

falls for what? you said i said something I didn’t say and then call me retard for calling you on it. I don’t know who the fuck you think i am or if willy is some sort of stupid code you guys got but really i just came on to chat about footy and got attacked and accused of god knows what. So whatever, speak to the hand, i’m outty girlfriend

  58. IvoryGoonz

Gooby: more like I rate him too, just check Le Grove archives, we lost a DM-DC-RB. we lost him for less than a million, and he’s now after a year worth 5 times that. bit of a loss on all levels, and besides, I know his uncle through work, so….

  59. albo

    Mirror article slating Mertesacker.

Funny that the same pundits who never stopped banging on about Arsenal needing height and physical presence in defence are now saying that ‘sheer physical stature’ isn’t enough if it comes with ‘limited mobility’…which is kind what Wenger has been saying to them for a few seasons!

  60. Goon with the wind

Whatever if that was directed at me incesc. What have I done to for everyone to accuse me of being someone else? This is fucking bonkers, amusing but bonkers. My tiny brain can’t handle much more

  61. Goon with the wind

no worries I won’t be back in a hurry. I don’t know what the fuck just happened, but I feel cyber bullied, even though you were actually bullying someone else, who is me. I’m confused, have a headache and pissed off frame of mind now, cheers

  62. Moray

haha funny thread today, with wily being outed again.

Just woke up and it’s a Typhoon 8 here in hong Kong which means at least the morning off work for me.

So, 2-1, we rode our luck again? Is it worth me watching the game on the playback?

Jees, how depressing! It’s bad when we yearn for tippy tappy, and when Bendtner has one of the best touches in the squad!

Frimpong reminds me of a younger Song in that he is easily pulled out of position and runs around in circles chasing the ball. Although he is faster and stronger than Song was at his age perhaps. When he lets the game come to him and learns his positional play better he will be solid. When and if.

A lot of slack being given to Ramsey lately. I can’t say I haven’t noticed the shoddy displays but a few things to observe. His displays for Wales have been terrific so he has not become shite overnight. He was out for an extended period of time from the Arsenal way of play and is adjusting to new midfield role. Remember this is a guy who almost always had Cesc or Samir for company in midfield, not Rosicky and Arteta. Anyways I think our young Welshman is a precious talent but perhaps the expectations were also a little to high. It will take time for him to gain confidence but I think he can do it. When Wilshere returns he may be pushed for a spot so he’s got a few months to establish himself.

    LAzer,

that’s all fine and dandy, but who does he play with for Cymru?

you don’t wanna tell us that our midfield is worse than that of the Welsh national team, do you?

i think we should consider playing song as back up CB, so we’ll have him, tommy, per and kozzer, this way we don’t need JD and squillaci, but then we need a super DM (ok, we needed that even before…)

I love to see that overpaid arse Nasri sitting on the bench in the clip too. Stalingrad-ARGH waiting next I am sure – when he tries to find some piss awful Oligarch that will pay him what he thinks he is worth – you will win as many cups there too. Ha Ha

Go to $hiite-y , take the money and lose your reason to live and play. Look where Spuddybayor has ended up, all because he thought he was worth billions and wanted to win trophies. So which ones Spuddy, show us your trophy cabinet. (almost as big as the spuds of the last 20 years) You can pretend you have gone somewhere while you spend all the extra cash, but your team has to qualify for regular champions league spots, before you can even say you have equaled your achievements at Arsenal.

$hiite-y are all nearly somethings who get paid loads for playing in Manchester without a red shirt. Tevez is a divisive dick who thinks that he is worth a lot of money, it will take him a year of not playing in competitive games to realize what an unmitigated cock he has made of himself and that no team of quality will pay anywhere near what he is currently getting. Before Bolton sign him and resurrect his career, for a quarter of the price.

What is the betting he does not go back to Argentina!

spurs are not strong defensively so i think this starting line-up might put pressure on their defense
