Well happy Saturday Grove fans. I’m in Manchester today, so this post must be quick and devastating… like Denilson in his prime.
Arsene Wenger gave his press conference yesterday, he gave one of those conferences where it sounded to me like he was jibing out the fans which was nice.
“We were a team on the up and that was not rewarded last season because we were maybe too hungry to go forward for four trophies,”
“But the basic qualities were there and we were certainly very close to winning last year.
“Then we were suddenly hit by major departures. And so we had to review and just with the injuries we had with Jack Wilshere out, with Abou Diaby out, we couldn’t survive without buying players. And the players available now have more experience.
“For me [standing still is not an option] and in the modern society a cycle takes zero days.
I want our fans just to be happy and you make your fans happy if you win things and if you win games. That I think is that.”
He’s always looking for an angle and an excuse as to why he failed. How any manager can complain about competing for four trophies with a £120million wage bill is a problem is totally beyond me. Perhaps if he’d given the squad the refresh he’s given it this summer… last year when it needed it, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. It’s like he still begrudges purchasing players this summer. It’s unbelievable.
This zero days cycle he’s going on about is complete nonsense. He’s had 6 years to make this ideology work. It’s totally bombed and he’s been lucky enough to get another chance to have a go this year. It took Dortmund three years to turnaround their fortunes on well under half the budget of Bayern Munich. That’s an achievement. The difference between their set up and ours is Jurgen Kloop doesn’t persist with absolute below average dross because it says 1988 on the passport.
I don’t know how many times we have to go over the ‘we were close’ thing. We were a million miles away. If the season had gone on any longer, we’d have dropped out of the top 5. It’s also important to note that our injuries really weren’t that bad last year. We actually had a pretty full squad to pick from in the last half of the season. A luxury we hadn’t had in years gone by.
Anyway, Wenger had his hand forced, he’s still sulking about it, but who cares. Who’d have thought injuries to two of our best players would be a blessing in disguise eh?
Today we face Blackburn. They’ll be massively up for the game. Chris Samba will be firing the boys up, they’ll feel massively aggrieved their fans are marching against their gaffer, so they’ll have a point to prove. I’d imagine they’ll be even more obnoxious and hard in the tackle than normal. Hopefully the coach has planned for this and hopefully the new foreign boys have been warned about this.
We need to go out there, bag ourselves an early two goals and deteriorate the atmosphere at Ewood park to a crescendo of boos so loud, Steve Kean’s P45 finds its way to the dugout before half time.
That is my dream anyway. My line up would have Santos involved. I don’t think Kieran Gibbs is has the physicality or the intelligence to play left back for an extended amount of time. I don’t care how good his crossing is. Ramsey is a doubt, so the midfield should stay the same. Koscielny and Mertesacker start at the back, Sagna at right back and I’ll go for a 3 prong attack of Theo, Robin and Gervinho.
Chezzer
Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Santos
Arteta Song Yossi
Gervinho Robin Theo
Beer thing…
I heard on the grapevine yesterday that Arsenal are looking at those magical beer pouring devices. They’re also looking at the quick poring Guiness machine they have at the world cup. I’m not sure what Guinness is, but as long as it’s poured from the bottom, it’s cool with me.
Have a marvellous day, hopefully I’ll be reporting back tomorrow with stories of a Theo hat-trick and a national apology to Blackburn fans for roughing their team up.
‘You’re getting sacked in the morning, getting sacked in the morning!’
Enjoy, and remember it’s an early kick off!
P.S. Nik B, pipe down, you play for Sunderland now, you’re not even famous enough to get a seat reserved in Covent Garden’s Nando’s these days. No one cares what you think of Arsenal, just concentrate on scoring some goals so we can get rid of your ego and ridiculous salary.

incesc:
You mean me re;Bolton ?
Tactics doesnt matter when your team is worth 200m+
yeah bolton
i up for it
im coming to the game, well up for some rioting
incesc:
There must be ways of spreading the word
I’m telling you we should all just have it out one time, we set up an AKB vs Doomer fight to end all fights, masquerade it as a healthy debate, amd just fuck some people up.
you need to get the black scarf boys re motivated for the demo
Also tactics are for teams that want to pretend they have a chance.
the worse thing is kronke woudnt even notice
he doesnt have a clue what arsenal is
Im off to kip. Lets all put our heads together
Nite cunts
or a pie eating contest keyser
They’ve run out of inventory, they’re getting some new ones made up before they arrange another march.
Apple ?!
would you punch yourself keyser?
Lurch:
I think theyre busting a gut now. The impetus was taken out with the falseness of the 2nd rate signings.
But after Blackburn, thats it.
Amazingly there are still 000′s of stupid cunts who look for excuses for that french cunt.
banofe
i dunno DG i think the gas is there, just needs a spark….
the march on the rovers today proves it doesn’t effect the squad ability to play.
how can a guy thats wife owns fucking walmart know about arsenal
arsenal is a team born out of south east london, the gunners, my grandad and his dad fought in the war from woolwich arsenal, gentlemans club, the arsenal way.
kroenke hasnt got a clue
For a good cause.
Arsenal’s a brand, just like every other football club it’s a business, get with it.
it hurts to say it but those days are gone Incesc, but they live on in legend.
if AW’s doing this deliberately so SKE fucks off I would gladly suffer more of it because that yank is poison.
Alas its just wishfull thinking and the old scrote really has lost his marbles.
both wars…
my grandad told me about his dad walking miles to see the arsenal
in woolwich
he always said arsenal was a gentlemans club, he drilled into me how great tony adams spirit was and what it meaned to play for arsenal
where is that these days?
although to be fair he thought the invicibles were too french and black haha
no Keyser its not just a brand, its still a cultural institution.
arsenal isnt just a brand
thats the problem
the only club never to be relegated from the top league
arsenal
arsenal is the best fucking team in england and we need more from these american cunts
Yeah, but it’s fallen victim to the greed of others, it’s supposed to be a sport to.
I didn’t want any of the board to sell their shares to anyone but it’s happened, we’re stuck in between, much like Wengers ideals.
it creases me seeing how timid the news people are around AW, its like they think he’s about to double over and start crying.
Lurch LeRouge – Heh, and you’d want that to happen ?!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/8589872.stm
I admit I wanted the board to sell, but never to SKE. I thought it was pretty clear Usmanov would be the only investor capable of taking us to the next level.
keyser
i know you hate man cuntys millions and all that
but theres no excuse for today and no excuse for arsenal not spending the money this summer when its there
the German model is praiseworthy Keyser sure, we might get there in a few years once our FA realise its unsustainable running it the way we do.
sustainable model has been ridiculed now wenger hasnt spent the money he had and he hasnt sustained the level of our play
we used to dream of going a season unbeaten and now we have lost 3 in 5
no of course I don’t want that to happen.
I didn’t want them to sell because they shouldn’t have to, we souldn’t have to find someone with deep pockets because we can’t compete without huge investment.
This result is a perfect illustration that the defensive basics are not being taught and understood at this club. We looked like conceding every time Blackburn went forwards. Blackburn ffs who at the start of play were bottom of the EPL. Its not just the defence-we don’t look like a team in the middle of the park.
Top 4? We are relegation certainties. The worst defence in the league with the most tactically inept manager.
i think its pretty clear that we needed a loose £100m to cushion our TPA account while we re address the wage strata and get the deadwood off high contracts.
If that meant subsidising wages and loaning them out then so be it, but the existing board were never going to be able to finance £100m without leveraging more debt. Usmanov could have lent us the money interest free while we return to more self sustainable ways in the next cycle, like United.
incesc – That’s the spazzy way to approach things, no excuse ? There’s no excuse for Nayim lobbing Seaman from 60 yards but it happens, because football should have an element of the outrageous, now we’re struggling to hold on to what we were.
I don’t begrudge Citeh investing money, I just think it’s at the point now where it’s having a negative effect, say if you’re a good footballer, during your career from youth to senior level you’ll progress naturally and at some point where you’re playing to your full potential you should expect to be paid top wages.
Now players get paid top wage before they’ve reached anywhere near their full potential, just soo other teams can’t benefit, in the end the player more likely than not it seems will never be as good as he could’ve.
Lurch LeRouge – You seriously think so ? The FA love money, look at the state of our National team.
“While at United the talk is of takeovers, Bayern supporters are safe in the knowledge that such a scenario is unlikely to ever unfold at the Allianz Arena.
The system by which Bundesliga clubs are regulated, with an emphasis on strict financial rules and licensing, means Bayern are debt-free, allowing the club to offer some tickets for as little as 12 euros (£11) in a world-class stadium.”
I know the articles a year old, but if we were able to do that as a team, would supporters really be soo upset ?!
righto night gents/cunts (whatever feels right i suppose)
im going to dream of quantum fluctuations and parallel universes in the hope this might all just be temporary rupture in spacetime
i think you look at it all wrong keyser
we have a manager that created a great team without breaking the bank
money is a poor excuse.
blaming 3 players getting sent off in 5 games, kocienly and song being dire and letting in 12 goals in 2 games on man citeh having money is shit
come on…
Keyser,
correct me if im wrong but didn’t the german state impose that mandate on the bundersliga?
its not so farfetched that the UKgov could impose a similar mandate on the FA in the future….
Now players get paid top wage before they’ve reached anywhere near their full potential, just soo other teams can’t benefit, in the end the player more likely than not it seems will never be as good as he could’ve.
—————————————
Really????? Money isn’t the only motivation for (individual) effort. There is this old school behaviourist called Maslow – Maslow hierrarchy of needs – it’s old but it’s a good place to start.
incesc – It’s not dude, we haven’t won a trophy in 6 years what we see now is a gradual result of it all, it’s the opposite to when Wenger took over, when Overmars scored against Schmeichel, I didn’t think we’d win the league and with every game I started to get more confident.
Mate, the Invincibles cost about 40 million as a team back then, the whole team, our back 5 cost about 10.
Andy fucking Carroll cost about that much, it’s ridiculous.
we could be equal on points with man city now if it was the old wenger
Lurch LeRouge – To be honest I don’t know, I’d try to find out, but I bang my little drum too much as it is.
I only found that article because of Suga3 asking about Bayerns wagebill and so on.
In general we need someone in the government to think beyond money and save us from ourselves, am I confident there’s someone like that there ? Hmmm.
i dont get your point keyser
money is an excuse?
incesc – That’s the problem Old Wenger wouldn’t work today.
How many players from Milan’s B team go on to be World Class and absolute legends of the game ?!
incesc – You just don’t get the same value unless you get lucky.
Compare it our whole Invincibles team with several all-time Legends cost the same as Andy Carroll just about.
You say 50 millions a lot, Citeh’s owners have already spent about a billion.
Keyser
my ex brother in law’s a massive Dortmund fan, he gave me the run down on the german system a few years ago, I recall him saying their FA was going tits up with all the clubs massively in debt and the government basically came in and bailed loads of clubs out but set new policies for transfers and wages into stone in lieu of bailout.
something along those lines at least.
but thats choosing a one off moment and presenting it as logic
the arsenal then used luck an chance and hard work and everything at its disposal to be the best it could
now we give up because we are all pissy that teams have more money
Radio Raheem – Did you read the whole point ? Say if someone tells you at the end of your degree if you work towards a 1st you’ll get a graduate place in a top bank.
Say if someone else comes in during your second year and says forget that we know you’re talented you’ve got a guaranteed job now or when you finish your degree.
Are you motivated in the same way ?!
it gets ugly in the streets when clubs start going bust. Massive cultural institutions at stake, I think the government have their eye on the situation.
Lurch LeRouge – Maybe there’s hope then, bit late, minds frazzled as it is.
the fa will never stop man citeh, in a bad way they are pumping money into the game.
their not clever enough to see the implications, like wtl does
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXHckAFMzaw
Incesc,
with Shiteh’s money or the chavs we’d still likely have, Cole, Clichy, & Nasri. I doubt we’d have seen todays fiasco with Clichy and Nasri in the xi.
Money has definitely drawn experienced players away from our squad, thats no xcuse for not forseeing the problem and closing the gaps sooner though.
righto really off now.
incesc – Not quite, I probably need to explain it better, but just think of how little you knew about Vieira when he came to us, unless you were big on Championship Manager or something.
Then think of how many youtube compilations people put out during the transfer window of random players from the 4 corners of the World.
Can you seriously say we’ll find 1-2 legends like we did in the old days ? We’ve got Wilshere now I suppose.
Keyser it’s a simple answer. It depends on what my motivation is, my environment and more importantly the kind of person I am.
no banker left behind…
ry cooder whoever he is nailed it
Incesc,
the FA will be powerless when clubs start going bust, the FA doesn’t have the funds to bail them out.
The gov will have to step in at some point if the spending isn’t regulated.
You laugh at WTL, but he’s biding his time, at 2k an hour in a short time he’ll be able to buy out Kroenke’s stake for himself.
Then you’ll see him at Press conferences telling everyone how he’s King of the World, while Keyser still lives in his mums basement.
clichy and nasri were replacable
we had money
Radio Raheem – Take any of those factors to the extremes you see in football today and you can work it out for yourself.
I am not sure football clubs are that important a cultural institution to not be allowed to fail. I’m not that sure they are as culturally important as they used to be. There is enough ‘noise’ to diminish their significance.
yes incesc I acknowledged that and its not an excuse for failure.
however without the temptation of money they wouldn’t have needed to be replaced and we could have strengthened, rather than treaded water.
the point was you both have valid points.
wtl got battered
said he was drinking jd late one night then came on the next day getting more pissed and called you out keyser because your not really really really rich
it was hilarious
kwik fit does worse every friday but i think wtl is embarrased to come back on
and he can get hot women
You are not making sense Keyser
Not just hot women, women hotter then the girls you dream about.
Fuck that if I wanted to say bye bye to this place I’d do something similar probably.
RR
you live in blighty RR?
I think you might find a few MP’s disagreeing with you, FC’s do loads of charitable and community outreach work.
Radio Raheem – What doesn’t make sense ?!
LLR has left the building.
Lurch LeRouge – Do you still talk to your ex-brother in law ? If so you could ask him about how much status football holds in Germany, or the impact it has on the economy.
Considering the money they’ve invested into the youth system, and the fact that they’re got a very strong International pedigree as it is, it might differ a fair bit.
We do have a fair few other sports that are quite prominent.
Yeah Lurch. I see what you are saying. But do you think these functions can be replaced by alternatives? I’m not sure but MPs and other officials would, usually, base their decisions on some kind of CBA or similar instruments and if B>C then it’s expendable I think.
i took those pictures of scarlet but im dumping her tomorrow for lurch
thats just the life i have as a rich man
get over it
I was quite surprised the US government allowed Lehman Brothers to fail but they did. Did the UK government allow Northern Rock to go under?
Keyser this one,
“Radio Raheem – Take any of those factors to the extremes you see in football today and you can work it out for yourself.”
infact is this him??
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2037632/Kweku-Adoboli-Swiss-bank-UBS-unaware-blew-whistle-HIMSELF.html
apart from gambon because hes funny it would be good if all these bankers get taken down and ridiculed
wtl was first adobili next…
Radio Raheem – Says it’s the motivation to reach your full potential as a footballer.
Then look at Adebayor, he went from Monaco to us, worked hard got a substantial pay-rise, kind of plateaued, moved on for another substantial pay-rise, has kind of stalled and is now working back to where he once was.
My point was tjay it’s at a point where the top footballers are more likely not to fulfill their potential because of the money they’re being paid as early as they are, you could add the environment and so on aswell.
incesc from le grove
banker killer
oh yeah
Think it’s time for sleep, or maybe to make myself a sandwich.
Didn’t awe the 2nd half but Hazard was only decent.
Marvin Martin? It took me 40 minutes to even figure out who the he’ll he was. He was lost in that first half.
I will not start by saying “I have followed Arsenal for X number of years”. That is beside the point because neither you nor I have any control over when we were born, although it is important to bear in mind that we ought not simply to compare ourselves to the present drought but to the history of AFC.
Arsene must go. I doubt he will be fired because the severance package and, given his age, the clauses adducing his pension, would strike the current owner(s) as too strenuous to withstand.
There was dire chatter last night among my fellow supporters at our local about where we could finish. My view is as follows: I do not wish to aim for 4th and I do not by any means believe that 4th is even realistic.
10 to 14 is realistic; 8 would be the highest I think we can reach, barring a mass spending spree in the January window; even then, we will have lost so many revenue sources (e.g., ticket sales and merchandise sales will have dropped), with the result that we will be competing for pretty much nothing at that point.
I am not, again, going to invoke my age or how many years I have held season tickets, because those claims do not necessarily have merit: but I think we need to be relegated.
Which is to say, I hope that we are relegated.
Relegation is the only event which would pierce AW’s stubbornness and egocentrism. Relegation is the only event which would make mercenaries and/or half-hearted players leave. Relegation might help TW14 write a second memoir concerning his every-so-long and ever-so-edifying life narrative thus far. Relegation would awaken Arsenal FC to the fact that we are now a club which not only cannot hold onto its best players, but moreover a club toward which quality players have little desire to move.
The situation is appalling because other major capitals attract players by dint of being major capitals. One can look to cities outside of the UK, outside of Europe, and see that in a variety of sports and in a variety of non-sports-related professions, a city alone can draw talent (cf. San Francisco, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, Boston, etc.). Having lived my whole life in Islington, it is sad that AFC does not quite have this mentality toward attraction and retention of players.
The above is a minor point.
Back to relegation.
Relegation will clear out the house–pardon the colloquialism–and create a more realistic appraisal of what AFC means, where AFC can go, and why AFC matters so much.
Wenger ought to leave regardless of any conjectures I am making. I have no idea what goes on in the dressing room; I have no idea about whether the manager has the players’ trust; I have no idea about any of the other platitudes that the media seems to spew so readily.
Wenger ought to leave because the run of form is simply dismal, and no adequate, preemptive steps have been made to rectify our dismal state.
In any career, particularly in managing a Premiership club, it is not a matter of 5 or 6 or 7 years but sometimes (if not often a matter of 5 or 6 or 7 months, sometimes 5 or 6 or 7 weeks.
It is not just Wenger of course; we do not know all of the machinations of the Board; we do not know what each individual player is thinking at any moment; but with Wenger–and, particularly, his ‘coaching’ staff (I use that collocation liberally in this case)–we will, as I’ve said, clear house and start again.
As some in the working world might believe–I certainly do–careers are less often about money/status/prestige etc., but more often about relationships and day-to-day, basic, quotidian dynamics. How can Wenger possibly be content with what he is doing? What does he say to his boss(es)? What do his boss(es) say to him? How can one persist in a job knowing that the clients (in this case, fans) are miserable? How can one humiliate the traditions of a given organization, be it AFC or Apple or what have you?
My sense is that Wenger is so discombobulated by the above fissures that he is no longer able to his job in the way that he might do his job if he had not put himself in this situation.
As individuals, we have been there before, have we not?
Think of the relationship that did not work, that one tried to save, which could not be saved, because one had made too many mistakes and spent too much time trying to rectify those mistakes. Think of a spell of chain-smoking, whereby one is so consumed in dispelling the after-effects that one does not quite quit smoking but simply alters the details (different brand, different times of day, etc.). Think of your own jobs: in which positions did you thrive by moving in a progressive trajectory? In which positions did you find yourself bogged down by having to atone for and/or rectify previous errors?
In which jobs did you simply find that, at a certain point, you simply did not fit with the job you were supposed to do?
Wenger is too stubborn to resign. Those who employ him are too ignorant, and/or too greedy, to fire him.
Relegation would see Wenger resign, because he would never manage at a lower level when he could gain employment elsewhere. In France, there is rumour that he will manage the French national team: these might be vacuous and silly rumours, but they do suggest the following: 1) people are widely aware of AW’s unsuitability (to put it mildly) at AFC and 2) AW will always have a job lined up elsewhere, even if it is, or especially if it is, back in Japan or France.
Relegation would do us good.
I hope we regain winning ways but that is a vacant hope.
The current squad consists of bandages when what one needed was stitches.
AW gone would be the start. The problem this raises, however, for everyone (including myself) here who is tired of AW, is the following question: If it stands to reason that the Board is too incompetent to dismiss AW, too greedy to forego profiteering, then just whom would we hire? And how? And on what grounds? With what mandate?
This season, the last season, the last 4, 5, 6 seasons, raise not just questions of individual lapses and individual moments–of course, the leg-breaks, horrendous, of Eduardo and Ramsey come to mind, as does the obscene loss of a trophy to Birmingham (nemesis)–but of the broader questions if/when we have a new manager and/or retain AW but have new players.
Just what is the plan? What is in place to accomplish the plan? What is the duration/deadline of the plan?
All of these issues are pushed more strenuously at other clubs: we can bemoan how quickly the modern-day manager is sacked in a revolving-door manner: but these questions are in and of the essence of modern-day management.
How is AW an exception?
On what planet is AFC functioning?
For my part, aside from my season tickets, the last amount of currency I provided AFC was the purchase of a Nasri replica shirt on the day he signed. I have since donated it, because at the sight of it, I could not eat enough to vomit enough.
What I mean to say concerning the issue of potentially firing AW, to put it more clearly, is as follows: IF the board is so ignorant, so derelict, so greedy, or whatever we think drives the board, HOW would the board even know if/when to fire AW? How would the board know whom to hire? How would the board know what agenda to give to an incoming manager in replacement of AW?
On another interpretation:
How tied are AW’s hands really? Who said he could not spend but then said “Yes you can spend a lot on mediocrity at the last minute”, and why?
If internal reports are true, and AW’s pension is so high, then why would he continue to put up with the stress?
If internal reports are true, and AW’s pension is so high, then why wouldn’t AFC cut losses and dispense of AW, knowing that the salary is of course in addition to those ex post facto expenses of firing?
Is there a contingency package in place as regards AW’s “staff” (so-called…not sure what they do)?
Look, my friends.
Blackburn. BLACKBURN. Had a (small but much-publicised) protest before today’s game.
How many games has Kean had? How ambitious is Blackburn? How large is their stadium? What is Blackburn’s potential? Who would manage Blackburn in the wake of Kean if Kean were sacked?
You get my point:
WHY is AW not under that kind of pressure?
Even Everton followers are in a rage over a situation concerning which Moyes apparently has little control.
Why are we Gunners so complacent?
When will we protest?
I suggest the following.
VICTORIA concordia crescit.
This isn’t just about harmony. It is about winning. Winning breeds harmony and harmony (has the ability) to bring about winning.
If that’s the motto, back it up.
Otherwise, AW, have the human decency to leave.
Sorry to belabor the point.
Wenger, fuck off.
Please.
incesc,
we were relegated once mate…..
i hope this won’t be the second time…..
SACK ARSENE!
Hahahaha. We are 15th in the league.
Fuck. I still can’t believe it. This must be the lowest point for AFC supporters for decades.
And I don’t see what can really change except for Verm and Willshire coming back in a few weeks, by when our chase for 4th will be well and truly over.
At-least they managed five goals
(2 own + 3). Wenger needs to rethink his strategies big time. Champions league qualification hopes look bleak this year. Lets hope they improve as the season progresses.
How shit is mertesacker, lost his man for the first and took to long to turn for the second,he looked lost at the back when he got a chance to score he fucked up
Wenger had tipped the balance. It’s a fine line between genius and madman. Hes now mad ! I read dozens of blogs asking. ‘ but who would replace Wenger If he goes’ . This is a ridiculous notion. Time moves on and so do we . We are THE Arsenal ! There are talented people in this world and it’s Ivans job to go find someone ( or sack that bald cunt too !)
Bollocks to being relegated thats the spuds way? how can any sane gooner come on here and say hope we get relegated!! thats never gonna happen mate. i know its shit at the moment but the winds of change will come again as soon as this season is over the silent one will sell up and fuck off back to the land of the free!! usmanov will take over and everything will fall into place keep the faith gooners we will rise again …………………..
This Board have to go,PHW is a disgusting old fart.
Paul mcdaid:
Even PHW is injured- but when he’s fit it’ll be like having a ne chairman
!
Morning Goons:
Wengerafc:
As long as Gazidas isnt influenced by Wenger & goes for his mate who’se currently managing at Nagoya.
It’s time for a fresh start.British based manager.
There isnt a big choice, but when you look at what Moyes has done at Everton, he seems to keep decent players happy yet with no money still grinds out performances.
With our resources & his apprenticeship well & truly served, he is an option.
It’s a bit early, but 3 younger managers who are progressive and ones to definately watch are;
Paul Lambert
Ian Atkins
Gus Poyet
Trying to get Hiddink will be impossible with Kronke in charge and he’ll probably go where the big bucks are to club football in Russia
Klopp is also one to watch, but whoever comes in there must be a injection of past recent Arsenal .players brought in as part of the team.
Terry40:
Mertsacker is the return of Ian Ure.
Hiddink, Mourinho, Klopp – all fantastic but sadly unlikely. I think that we need a young manager with fire in his belly and a managerial policy like Chelski. We should never accept 3rd or 4th as a trophy. Crazily, I’d go for Poyet – he wouldn’t stand the lazy shite dished up by three quarters of our current squad.
Mertersacker is not the answer, a change in philosophies and decent coaching and tactics is the answer….
We only need someone who organise a piss up in a brewery!
Got to admire Pedro for being able to write a post time after time with all this shit
Paul Smith laying into wenger on Sunday supplement!!
Unai Emery wouldn’t be a bad choice to replace Wenger. He has done exceedingly well considering that Valencia have had to sell atleast 1 or 2 big players every summer
And Unlike Wenger he(Valencia) don’t have any money to spend.
Wenger once said that he would resign if he was no longer wanted.
Or was that also a lie?
“Paul Smith laying into wenger on Sunday supplement!!”
What did Wenger not where his clothes on the touchline as he said he would?
