Exclusive: Bad news on top Arsenal target… | Yossi, Santos, Götze & Cahill on radar

by & filed under Uncategorized.

I’m not going to procrastinate over the United game, I appreciate most of you are suicidal already. I’ll just say one thing… how disappointing is it that I can’t even gloat about the misery going on at White Hart Lane? Very…

Transfer Pipeline…

Yossi Benayoun according to my source is someone we’re definitely interested in. I’m not sure why there was such an outcry about his purchase yesterday. I think he’s well worth a punt. He’s hard-working, Premiership experienced, good with both feet, a great finisher and creative. He’s also 31 years old and obviously, he’s French African, so perfect for Wenger.

I’ve said on numerous occasions he’s Alex Hleb with end product.

The problem here isn’t quality, it’s his injury record and the question marks around an older player returning from an achilles problem.

Yossi Stats…

09-10: 31 games / 8 Goals / 6 Assists

08-09: 24 games / 9 goals / 6 Assists

07-08: 26 games / 10 goals / 5 Assists

Rumours surfaced last night that we were in for Chelsea’s Alex. For me, this is just a ploy to pile the pressure on Bolton. He’s a good player but he’s so injury prone it wouldn’t be worth the risk for such a key position. Cahill is the right age and he’s an improvement on Koscielny. He’d be a great buy. We must be careful though, Spurs are lurking.

News surfaced last night that we were in for Götze of Dortmund. A superb talent, some say the best the German football has to offer, but a non-starter for me. Most top clubs don’t sell to their competitors two days before the window closes because generally you can’t find top class replacements.

The player we were hunting down was Yann M’Vila. Things were looking good and we definitely had the player interested, though I’ve been informed this morning the deal is off as Rennes want £30million and we’re only prepared to go as high as £22million. A bit of a gutter and the reason I didn’t give a name initially. He’s a terrier of a defensive midfielder with the ability to play box to box. He’d be the perfect player to solidify our weak central midfield.

Keep an eye on his name though. French clubs are desperate for cash, that one might be reignited last-minute.

Andre Santos looks like our new left back. He’s a Brazil international, comes with a glowing reference from Sports Illustrated’s Gabrielle Marcotti and has pedigree. The perfect signing. He comes from a match fixing team, but a winning match fixing team! Who cares though, that’s a top deal under the radar.

In other great news, it looks like Chamakh could be on his way out to PSG. The highlight of his Arsenal career would be making any sort of profit on him. Traore left for a fee, that’s a win. He’s not cut out for the big games, if I was to guess, I’d say he’ll bomb at QPR as well.

Looking at our transfer model, it seems we’re shipping out the lazy and replacing them with hard workers which is something we need. How they’ll settle is a worry, but be honest, anything is better than 8-2 players.

Ticket refund…

I had a short conversation on 5 Live yesterday at 1850. I was asked to talk about the refund, here’s what I would have said it I’d been given a bit longer.

Firstly, we didn’t ask for the refund. So it wasn’t demanded. It was a gesture. It’s always nice when you’ve been wronged to be offered before you have to ask. It shows the club take results like that seriously and they’re taking accountability.

United at the weekend was the worst result since 1886. That was no regular defeat. That was a disgrace even at Sunday League level. People are worried it’ll set a dangerous precedent. I say it would set the perfect precedent. Away games should ALWAYS be refunded when we lose by such a humiliating margin.

Buying a ticket is a two-way commitment. We part with our cash and support. The manager puts out team capable of winning and the players work hard and fight like their lives depended on it.

Our supporters kept their part of the bargain, they were world-class, an inspiration to all football fans. They reminded me of the string quartet on the Titanic… The point is, those are the type of fans we should be encouraging. A well deserved gesture. Simple fact is, no amount of free tickets will remove that foul taste… but a free ticket to another game goes someway to helping.

Finally, the stats around the refund…

The average ticket price was about £46. Our allocation was 3000. The total cost of the refund was about £138k. That’s roughly what Arsene Wenger is paid per week.

I’m not drawing any logical conclusions as to where that money should come from. Nor would I point out our weekly wage bill is almost 17 times the refund cost.

Right, plenty for you chew through this morning. Sorry the mystery player looks a dead duck… but like I say with all transfer deals, until they’re done, anything can happen!

There are plenty of twists and turns yet… Wenger has a career, season and a legacy to save! Come on Arsene, show us you know!

P.S. 100,000 of you visited the site on match day this weekend. That might not be a lot for other sites, but my god, that’s feels like something special to Geoff and I. Thanks for continuing to drop by this summer and thanks for telling your friends to drop by as well, you’ve all helped to make the summer so much more bearable with your top comments and banter!

Don’t rule out anything going by our dealings right now.

    From a forum:
One thing i’ve learned these past few days is to completely ignore any journalist saying we’re close to doing a deal or not close to doing a deal. Not one of them picked up on our last 3 signings. They didn’t have any idea about Park, Santos, or Mertesacker.

  2. gambon

    Yandi

No, Arsenal have been a french club who happen to be based in london for some time.

Only 1 out of our last 20 players were signed from the PL, its unbelievable.

  3. nightman

Ive watched a lot of Andre Santos…..very, very good going forward. Good passer, crosser and dribbler.

Offers ONE HUNDRED TIMES what Clichy did going forward, however he is not great defensively from what I can remember and does not have Clichy’s sheer athleticism, but few do.

  4. Thomas. It's up for grabs now!

If you’re talking Defenders with the bes stats that would be Dann. His partnership with Johnson before he got injured was quite impressive. Don’t have the figures to hand and couldn’t be arsed to search for them now!. But I remember reading that Birmingham conceded a shit load more per game after that partnership was broken up by Dann’s injury in Jan.

And that was against the best of the PL attackers!

  5. Thomas. It's up for grabs now!

Pedro… I think the problem there is he does not want to go yet! His agent said there was no chance…. Although I think a BIG offer could change that stance. Talking about 2 more years hanging on there.

Question is would AW and the club sleep well on a 40m buy! No question they can do IMO.

  6. frenchie

honestly, i would much rather the greatest striker in the world would stay on than chamack. what a waste of money that one was…oooooh, he was free.

  7. gambon

    Pedro

I really doubt we will ever sign him, but we should try tomorrow.

Offer him Cescs wages and offer Dortmund the Cesc fee, £35m or so.

Samir Nasri: Arsenal can’t compete for titles at top level
Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri believes though Arsenal remain a big club they can no longer compete financially with the Premier League elite, the politics of the club forcing Arsène Wenger to gamble on youth while top talent like Cesc Fabregas is lost.

Nasri’s move earlier this month was the second significant departure from the Emirates this summer following Fabregas’ transfer to Barcelona, and the Frenchman feels he is now at a club on the cusp of creating history.

Nasri’s debut for City, a 5-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday, was in stark contrast to his former club’s 8-2 annihilation at the hands of Manchester United, and the 24-year-old does not believe Arsenal are in a comfortable enough financial position to rectify their situation.

“Arsenal remains a big club, but the building of Emirates Stadium changed a lot of things,” Nasri told L’Equipe.

“It has changed the ambitions, so far. But it is not Arsène Wenger, it is the club’s politics, the officials.

“Arsenal doesn’t have the same funds. They can’t make the same coups as before in the transfer market. They are rather forced to sell their best players and bet on young ones.”

Speaking about his own departure, he added: “My decision was made in June. I wanted to leave after our difficult end of season. Arsene wanted me to stay. I’m glad Arsenal got a good sum. I prefer to leave like that than at end of my contract. I did the same with Marseille

“Yes, it was [the right time to leave], there are sure signs. The departure of Cesc to Barcelona is one of them. The defeat against Birmingham in the League Cup final was very harmful for the minds. Today I feel like I’m in a team where I can win titles.”

Yet to win a major trophy, Nasri turned down the opportunity to join Manchester United earlier this summer saying he wanted to be a part of making history.

“From the start there was unanimity about my arrival at Manchester City,” he said.

“The coach, the executive director Garry Cook and chairman Khaldoun al-Mubarak, I felt everyone wanted me.

“The players teased me for my first training session. They said: ‘You needed time to come. We are waiting for you for one month and a half’. I know most of them, playing against them.

“Training with all those good players every day, I will improve. During sessions, there is a big intensity. At Arsenal it was already good, but here it is an upper level.

“When we finish the session with a match, you really feel like you’re in an official competition. There are 22 players of a very high level. In the Premier League, very few clubs can show such wealth.”

  9. Colonel Mustard

Here is something id like to float this late that we f**kin put in contracts we are not selling our players to City barca united etc. can we put this in players contracts. sign this or dont sign for us. can we not do this with two billionaires and a financally health club

  10. Pedro

Gambon, he’s going to have to make a splash creatively tomorrow… if he doesn’t, we’re in big trouble.

There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of talent out there outside of those two… well, that’s available.

  11. Pedro

Thomas… Wenger will be out the door if he loses us top 4 because of his inaction.

I think he’ll be pulling out all the stops tomorrow.

Problem is, who would sell their best creative talent without a replacement lined up… bar Arsenal?

  12. sir henry norris

Usmanov possible takeover what a excellent thought to end what has been the most pivotal of- the-pitch day at our beloved club for a very long time.

hopefully that will be only until tomorrow, whereby Wenger will need to of replaced the creative hole left by the departures of nasri & Cesc.

But, if Wenger is to fully carry through his overhaul of the squad we should see both M’vila (most certainly) and Hazard (more importantly) arrive. it is only then in my opinion will we be considered again, “a big club” as we should be with fancy stadium and high(est) ticket prices.

Arsene, you have the means, so please do the right thing (read no cheap rejects) and Arsene! Good luck!

Welcome to our football club Ju Young Park, Per Metersacker and Andre Santos

  13. Samir

Apparently (Twitter) Hazard has told Lille he wants to leave…And he is top of Wenger’s transfer list!
Probably shit…BUT, I’d love a big surprise tomorrow evening :D

  14. Colonel Mustard

Cloggs – a 6 pack….incesc – yip he will go there, i said it to a mate today. United brilliantly playing brinkmanship. will get him on good but not insane wages. he is not a fool. Fergie wants to go head to head with Barca and wesley Sn is the key. Meanwhile…Wegner forced by board to buy like a woman at a shoe sale.

  15. OPG

Samir that’s from John Cross the Mirror Sports journalist who hardly get’s much right though that is true for all of them.
They are throwing all sorts of names out of hat to gain credibility.

  16. Thomas. It's up for grabs now!

Pedro. It will be extremely difficult to get anything like top quality on the last day. Clubs will be slow to part without the opportunity to replace them.

However, let’s see what tomorrow bring us eh! There’s a big wad of cash there that could prize away a big name. Money talks!

I’m hopeful that the big creative name will surface tomorrow. Two big names would be great. As Gambon said the Cesc package could tempt a few good ones.

Hopeful! And clinging to Grimandi’s word of more to follow! Will do the post mortem tomorrow midnight!

    Nite all!

  17. Lurch LeRouge

the same david that thought JD was the second comming of Maldini?

Dempsey would make a very solid squad player. He and Duff are the two bogeymen every time we play Fullham.

  18. Lurch LeRouge

im feeling its more a priority to break the bank for a CAM than M’Villa, even if it means blowing £40M and the £150K PW ceiling.

  19. Moray

What the fuck is this guy’s problem? He was at fault for a lot of this. I remember him sauntering around the pitch as our season collapsed. Someone should take him out when we plat Shitty next.

I’m also glad he things Shitty spend wisely a haha

“Samir Nasri has claimed that training at Manchester City is more intense and a “level above Arsenal”. The French midfielder, who has been at City for a week, also pinpointed what he believes to be Arsène Wenger’s failing in dealing with players, saying the Arsenal manager “doesn’t like conflict”.

Nasri made a sparkling debut for City on Sunday in their 5-1 win at Tottenham following his long-touted £24m move, and he has suggested a marked difference in how his new club prepare for games. “My integration is ideal,” he told France Football. “I know that training with [this squad] every day, I will improve. There is a lot of intensity. It’s the level above Arsenal. When we finish the session with a game, it feels like a competition game.

“Today, I feel that I am in a team where I can win trophies. You play football because you like [it], but above that because you want to win trophies. I dream of winning a league, a cup or a Champions League. I finally want to feel the pleasure of having really had a great season. I need to win.

“City spend a lot but they still do it wisely. The club buys a lot of players, but mostly young players. They all can still improve. The average age is 25. At City, this is the high level on every aspect. The staff is very impressive. There is a huge project for a training centre with 16 pitches, fantastic facilities, a hotel for players, and all this very close to the stadium… It will be ready in two years. You feel a real strategy.”

Nasri joined Arsenal in 2008 from Marseilles for £15.8m but failed to win a trophy in his time in London. The club offered to extend his contract but the 24-year-old was determined to leave. He said: “The departure of Cesc [Fabregas] to Barcelona was a sign that it was time to go. The end of last season was also one. The defeat to Birmingham in the League Cup hurt us a lot. Coming to City, I chose a club that was on the way up. Arsenal remains a big club, but the building of the Emirates changed a lot of things financially. It’s the club politics, the officials, not Arsène. Arsenal don’t have the same money to spend. They must sell their best players.”

  20. zeus

Gotze and Hazard are for more likely to happen (which it won’t) than Sneijder.

Wenger might have temporarily lost his marbles (a good thing) but not enough to not take into account the re-sale value of a player.

  21. incesc

lets hope we havent gotour hopes up.

2 goodish signings and a moneyspinner.

we need a worldclass one tomorrow.

be well surprised if we even sign another playe to be honest.

we are good a fucking these things up!

  22. Ricky

So the most promising news of the day I for me & probably all of us is that silent cunty stan could actually fuck off & save us the hassle of forcing him out.. Might not be long before we finally see an end to this un-successful reliance on youth.

    Long live usmanov!!!

  23. Rohan

Am starting to believe in the M’Vila hype. Think he’ll do wonders for us.

He French African to boot. He’s fucking perfect

  24. Rohan

On 25 March 2011, M’Vila completed 92.5 percent of his 134 attempted passes in a 2–0 UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying win over Luxembourg. The feat was the best by any France player in an international match since 2006.[44]

    Denilson in the house

  25. Doublegooner

    Morning Goons:

    Re: DEMO…at Swansea Game

Just been told by a mate that the Black Scarf Movement ( We want our ArsenalBack) have secured the advertising hoarding by the Armoury Roundabout & will have a giant message to Kronke…

Be there if you can…if not spread the word anyway

    OOOOH2 OOOOH2B OOOOH2B A GOONER

  26. Rohan

Will there still be a demo if we sign Goetze and M’Vila tomorrow?

I’d rather we held it for a bit to be honest. The cunts have shown some ambition at last. Show them we appreciate it atleast.

  27. Marko

If we bought Gotze tomorrow you could almost guarantee we’ll of forgotten we ever had a player by the name of Cesc Fabregas within 2 years he’s that promising

  28. incesc

    they havent shown ambition yet.

    tomorrow is a big day.

    park santos and martsesacker.

come on, no one had heard of 2 of those before this week and we havent replaced fabregas.

im glad we are buying but we missed out on mata being cheap, tomorrow is huge

  29. Rohan

We’ll wrap M’Vila up early doors tomorrow I feel.

Then we’ll just do a Redknapp and bid for 20 players in 10 hours hoping one of them goes through.
I expect AW and IG are awake at the moment…..

  30. OPG

It seems we are scrambling for new signings now, it’s good that we have made signings but 2 more of these kind of signings could of been done much earlier with much less panic did we really think the squad or certain players were good enough as it is at the start of the season? We miss out on our top targets because of dallying and low ball offers we’ll have to switch to not so ideal targets.

vidal, witsel, defour, enrique,, toulalan, inler, garay, alou diarra, maituidi, menez to name a few who were bargains or good value which would have strengthened the squad.

  31. Marko

I think tomorrow Santos and Mertesacker aside if we were to sign M’Vila and Gotze/Hazard you’re talking orgasms happening on Le Grove on thurs morning. M’Vila and Arteta/Martin/Vargas and we’re still squirting a little juice. Basically midfield signings are a must

  32. Rohan

Yep tomorrow will decide whether we fight for 4th/5th/6th with ‘Pool or 2nd/3rd.

Get M’Vila and a world class CAM and we’re talking. I just can’t help but feel that a cheeky 45m bid for Wesley Sneijder might do it.

  33. OPG

Wenger will have to pay over the odds for M’Vila I would be very suprised. Gotze is already out of reach though, earlier in the window I don’t think they would budge.

  34. Marko

I swear I’d forgive us missing out on Mata and selling Cesc and that twat Nasri and would forgive sunday if we were to sign Mario Gotze. Forget Sneijder he’s the man he’s superman

  35. Bennydevito

Have we actually signed anyone yet? Or is it all he said she said on the sea shore? And what sauces are we talking? Heinz? Kp? Daddies….?

  36. Bennydevito

… or Hellmans, the new kids on the block making their way from mayo to ketchup…very good ketchup too I might add.

  37. Bennydevito

oh yeah… ketchup baby… let’s get it on…oooooooooohhhhh hoooooooooooo hooooooo hooooooo hoooooo hoooooo

  38. Bennydevito

Park likes to chew them young has been confirmed on arsedotcom but no mention of Mertesaker (sp) Perhaps it was park’s dogging name (boom boom!) that appealed to wenger in the first place?

  39. iccecream

My possible-to-achieve dream team by tomorrow

    ————-CheZZer—————

    ——–Sacker——-TV———–

    Sagna———————–Santos

    ————–M’Villa——————-

    ——-Ramsey—-Wilshere——-

    Theo/Gerv———(Hazard or Gotze)/Young

    —————RVP—————–

Just 2 more quality signings and we’re set for years!

  40. Bennydevito

SSN reporting that Per Mertesaker (sp) or translated into English: Peter Workshy-slacker of Liverpudlian descent, deal all done and dusted but yet no official news on fuckmyarsedotcom. What the fuck are these 20 Bill Gates and fucking Stephen Hawkings doing all day and all night? I’m sure one of them could put an exclusive out on their own official site stealing the expose of the signing??

  41. Bennydevito

Has anybody seen those Indian girls Priiya and Priiti on Babestation? Holy Jesus, Gandhi and Mohammed they are fine!

  42. Bennydevito

According to sky sauces…… the bridge’s the place to gooooooooo……..

SSN reporting that the Chavs have bid £30m plus Yossi ben I yawn for Modric.

  43. zeus

Have to say I don’t get the Gotze love in. Sure he is a useful player, but nothing there suggests to me he will EVER reach Cesc’s level as gambon and others have suggested.

In fact he looks closer to being a Nasri type than anything else.

  44. bade the gooner (bernard)

    so,
i hope those deals will be completed today….

    cb- cahill
    dm- de rossi / m’villa
cm- 2 needed, schweinsteiger/gotze, another one
cf – if chamakh is out, i’d be glad to have better replacement (which isn’t an impossible mission ….. any striker who shoots will do)

  45. ikon

have to say ppl are a lot over optimistic re signings. We will be unveiling maximum Mert and Santos, so it makes three signings. Although the most important signing after defense had to be a creative mid fielder, which I doubt we will be getting.

  46. Moray

I wonder how long we had the Korean tied up for? In terms of merchandising, it’s a good move: and he will be happy to warm the bench until he’s needed. And Asia is the way forward for merchandising. If we go for Clint Dempsey then it shows we are chasing the US market too.

However, we will also need them to play, with our thin squad, so I hope they can pull their weight. We know the Koreans have a high work ethic and the septics are strong in fitness, so that is two new areas for us.

We have a few players now who captain their country, so there can be no excuse for lack of leadership on the pitch.

Lastly, how is Ertesacker so cheap? he has always been cheap – 5m euros to Werder in 2006. Perhaps because he is a eunuch?…

“At the World Cup 2006 on home soil, Mertesacker paired with Metzelder in central defence. After Germany won the quarter-final penalty shoot-out against Argentina, Mertesacker was attacked by Argentine Leandro Cufré, an unused substitute. He suffered minor injuries to his thigh and a kick to the groin. After Germany’s loss to Italy in the semifinals, Mertesacker had surgery on one of his legs and left testicle (not related to the attack above, but an injury he had been dealing with during previous matches…”

  47. zeus

    Ikon

Doubt a creative side as well. First things first, get jack back on the pitch. I wouldn’t mind Mvila at all. Alex Song has had no competion for 3 years now. It’s time to get a proper DM in.

Knowing Wenger, he probably has Diaby in mind as playmaker.

  48. Moray

I agree with Ikon. don’t expect too much – if we had plans for a top quality player, it would have been done by now or else it is simply too late…let’s hope the Korean is better than Chamakh or we are in big trouble

  49. ikon

will be interesting to see how Mertersacker performs in premier league. If he is too slow in turns, he will struggle prolly, slow in sprint wont affect that much.

  50. Doublegooner

    DEMO…

KRONKE….WO ARE YOU ? WHAT DO YOU WANT ??

Wenger is too cautious to make a stunning signings.

Mertesacker is a panic buy, BUT he’s a self confessed Arsenal fan.

Cahill Jagielka were the prefered choices.

Still no English players or anyone with PL experience.

Unless we sign a massive it doesnt change Wenger looks & is a tired man.

His tactics & man management are finished.

  51. Goon from BD

    Eid Mubarak :D

It was a good day yesterday. I was just hoping all summer we show interest in Gotze and woke up to find out just that :D . Then we signed a proven CB and a left back outta nowhere. I know we won’t get Gotze but fingers crossed on the M’vila deal :D and at least one more creative midfielder to get things back on track. We could sign another great player in Jan…….by the looks of it thats what the plan is.

  52. Goonerman

Kronke out – too fucking Silent. He is no good for Arsenal.

There is clearly NO money, Why are we spending £6m here and there. Board lying to us, there in no money.

    Ruined the club.

  53. Martin Hayes Never Missed

If Santos trys all that fancy shit in the prem he is going to end up on his Arse or with a broken leg! Sadly.

  54. RockyPires

Mert has 70 caps for Germaany, excelled in all competitions for country and club and your questioing his pedigree.
Ok he hasnt EPL experience but nor had Vidic.

If he is going to suceed then, we should ensure he plays to his strenghts, playing alonside Sagna and Verm will cover any pace deficits .
I think his merits are greater than his detractions .

Ideally Cahill in Squillaci and Miquel to Bolton would be good.
Miquel on loan. Afobe on loan might be another sweetner as they are struggling to get a pacey striker in.??

Arteta is a long time love affair of ours and I do wonder is there substance to these rumours.

What about Honda of CSKA, Wenger said he was a creative genius, worth a look?

Per is a top signing, any addition to LB is welcome, I like the look of Park, hes more athletic than Bendtner or Chamack.

So all we need now is a creative midfielder to take the burden of Ramsey and Jack.
Hazard I know is class but do worry about him getting to grips with EPL straight away, I see him more as a winger than CAM.
Areta ideal instant intergation. Enough said they need money long term love affair.
Honda as I said an option.
Hamseik top class but has a 100 million buy out clause.
Milner different and needs first team football to make English Euors team.

  55. Martin Hayes Never Missed

Big day today – some older experienced players in the bag already albeit not prem experience but they will add something and big per, is ideal. He will dish out a bollocking for sure.

Would love to see an addition to the coaching team if AW is going to stay.

Seriously need some midfielders now but am impressed with the players sold off – except Cesc of course.

  56. GoonerT1m

lots of press slating the mert…..36 year old in a 26 year old body…..jeez the uk press, henry winter and the like hate the arsenal dont they!……..interesting

  57. ardentgooner

Thomas bendtner at Stoke training ground. I hope they know which bendtner is for sale?

Also I hear a rumour that Arsene Wenger is indeed signing Lucho Gonzalez in France… Cheap option again?

  58. Gooby

    how about

    ——–chezzer——
    bac-per-verm-santos
    —song–m’villa——
    –gervinho-jack-honda
    ——–ROBIN———-

bench: fabianski, kozzer, gibbs, rambo, frimpong, park, miyiachi

  59. ardentgooner

    Gooby

Better that Benayoun surely..but Would prefer Marvin Martin if wenger is shelling out money it better be on someone really good.. plus Lucho is 31… would get maximum of 2 good years out of him…

  60. charliegeorge

Now the mad fucker’s waving the cheque book like a drunken sailor.

That’s all we need, PANIC BUYS

Honestly, this guy isn’t a top flight manager’s arsehole!

  61. Gooby

he’s very much the riquelme type of player, slow with eye for the pass.

his house has been robbed in marseille i heard, some guys went in with guns and threatened him and his familly last season. That’s the reason he wants to move.

  62. Burny

All this talk of deals with Chelsea, I wonder if it’s Abramovich finally getting Arshavin – if we can get back what we paid I’d be happy.

I just wonder where all the noise about talks between our two clubs is coming from – no smoke without fire. Getting rid of Arshavin maybe a bit of a stretch, but who knows whats going on at our club if the last 5 days are anything to go by.

I think more likely Honda, Mvila

If we could shift, chamakh, benny, arshavin and rosicky today

then maybe add Dempsey and Malouda and always worth a punt Defoe or Bent

Mental day ahead of us, i swear to god if Chesea sign Ribery for 30 million i will fuck Wenger up, i’m sorry i know that this is stupid talk, but if we sign 3 bit part players include the wages it would surely be the equivalent in cost of signing one world class player.

Why sign fringe players we just got rid of a load

  66. Mark my words

    Great!
A shambolic left back taken to the cleaners by rusty Santa Curz in Copa Americal and a defender from one of the worst team in German league shipping over 60 goals last season will not sort our problems.
Mark my words, this team will not improve by these signings. I hope we avoid relegation and may be a top ten finish. Wenger is finished now and in a way not allowing him to splash big is a good thing. Hopefully board will save some money for next manager to spend earlier in the window. Wenger paid over inflated fees to mediocre players and now we cannot get rid of them. Wage bill is over 100 million pounds and great to see it being spent on likes of Diaby, Denilson, Vela, Rosicky, Walcott, Almunia and Sqalacci etc.
Wenger has become a laughing stock and so is this club under him
