Peter Odemwingie please no, Eden Hazard in a heartbeat. Arsenal must move and move fast.

by & filed under Uncategorized.

I got the you-know-who rant out of the way and as promised I will not mention him again. He is now history so we must look forward.

Please don’t let the money burn a hole in your pocket Arsene, we need top players, not WBA ones.

As I have said many times before I hope Nasri stays and plays in that central role, we are however into the season with weeks left of the window. We saw last night how buying a superstar pays off and being a City fan must be fun right now, if only we have taken Yaya from Breveren, Kompany or even Silva we may not be in a position where we are losing our top players, we are though so we must do something before we fold like a cheap deck, someone said earlier that signing Chamberlain would have been applauded had we signed some top players as well, I make him right.

So far we have seen the back of Clichy, Fabregas, Denilson, JET, almost Ebouue, Bendtner and Almunia as well and a host of fringe players, all we’ve had in is Gervinho.

Ryo, Jenkinson and Chamberlain are all prospects, good ones agreed but if we should have learned anything, it’s playing youngsters too early will result in long term injuries, for that see Cesc, Ramsey and Theo.

We need to sort out the Nasri situation and now, it’s simple, offer him the central role and a payrise, either he’ll take it, or we sell him. Before that buy Hazard, he’s a winger, not a replacement as Nasri was never a winger and that for me is part of the problem with Nasri, he doesn’t want to play wide.

We need a forward, not a Chamakh, a Bendtner or god forbid a Peter Odemwingie, we sure as hell don’t need anymore cheap French players, we need players that will fit in right now, we need a Cahill, Jagielka is good but too old, we need a flair player like a Schweinsteiger and we need a DM, and we need them now.

Tonight we have no choice, I didn’t realise Ryo was in Japan so I will adjust my team selection.

Chezzer

Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs

Frimpong

Ramsey Arshavin

Gervinho Theo Chamberlain

There give that a go and pray we go at them from the off, we need to keep the ball but we need desperately to score, first leg at home in Europe a clean sheet is essential, but that’s no good without goals, this team may just upset them and they sure as hell won’t be expecting it.

If we don’t win tonight we’ll go out, so we need to be bold, being smart isn’t what Arsenal are anymore, if they were then we would have replaced our captain long before he left us and Nasri wouldn’t be wanting away.

Tonight I’m going for a bold line up and a top score, 3nil to the Arsenal.

i’m passing out – we’ll have to chat another time.

You spend a lot of time on here lerouge. Do you go outside much? With all that Kulture you say you live amongst, it seems a shame you don’t get out to enjoy it ;)

  3. zeus

    Hahaha.

Only on Le-grove can a midnite conversation go from a porn to European history to public policies and the economic underclass.

Morning all, what a shit day, it feels like we lost.

What is Wenger looking at, I mean does he watch and say hmmm, Chamakh had another blinder, he didn’t score but I really like he hairstyle.

  7. Gunnernet

Morning, i didn’t see the match yesterday but the good news is that we didn’t concede for second consecutive time.Let’s hope that this will continue at Saturday. What about Ram and Rosicky’s combination? Any movements on transfer front?

  8. Gunnernet

Paradoxically i am happy with how things turn out. I didn’t want Cesk and Nasri to stay and destabilise our team. We need commited playerswho will put the team above their ego.. Also ii heard a rumour that if Cesk ever leaves his beloved Scatalan club Arsenal will get 50% of the fee. Not bad buiseness imo. (if the fee of 35m that will receive Arsenal is true).

    Geoff

Chamakh never seems to be in too much of a hurry. Lets hope AW is in a hurry now to get Hazard in.

I must say though, it was great to see Frimpong & Jenkinson get a run.

Can’t believe the media have started a witch-hunt against Wenger for ‘communicating’ with the bench.

FFS mourinhio and fergie do it all the time when they are suspended , its almost as if the media takes great pleasure in seeing Arsenal disciplined.

  11. gnarleygeorge9

Old Rupert should just wind up The Sun as well & market it as arse wipe in competition with Sorbent, etc.

    Geoff:

Enough is enough. We’re watching our club falling apart of our eyes.

Ive just had a 60+ pal who was there last nigh been a season ticket holder for 50 years email a group of us at 5.40am saying he’s so worried what he sees !

Wenger & Co do not know what to do. The cosy bloke in front of me last night who has been a dribbling usless sit on his hands ‘I ove Arsene’..is not tetchy.

He told me he recently sold his 11 shares to Usmanov. Think it was those shares that took him to the brink of 30%.

We are staring mid table & obviously out of CL next week if last night was anything to go by.

Frank Mclintock on Talksport right now. Says no leader, gonna have a tough game next week & if we get knocked out the pressure on Wenger & the club is going to be so tough. If he was manager he’d go for 2 centre halves & he thinks TV ( like you me) should play in midfield, he’d also go for Scott Paker. We have no warriors anywhere.

    He sounds vey concerned.

  13. Mayank

Munitionsman, there’s no record of Mary Antoinette actually saying it. Just misinterpretation, something the Sun revels in.

After last night’s match the paper calls for Arsenal to buy a new ‘keeper. Yup that’s some cutting edge journalism. Did the writer even see the match or just sit down to write the usual tirade against Arsenal with the same platitudes, after reading the match stats.

  14. Mayank

I don’t know what you guys were expecting really. I know its Arsene’s own doing but realistically, were you expecting us to stuff ‘em?

Our best player has left the club our 2nd, 3rd and 4th best players weren’t playing. The general atmosphere was very tense.

The circumstances we were playing under called for a strong determined performance and we delivered.

It’s obvious that we need to buy to spark creativity back into the team but really I enjoyed seeing last nights match. Utd have pulled of this kind of victory many a-times and have been lauded for it.

  15. gambon

There are 92 clubs in the football league.

91 have spent more than Arsenal in the last 5 years in the transfer market.

    Absolutely fucking shocking.

  18. bade the gooner (bernard)

    Morning!
I fucked up my laptop, but it depends what you call a fuck up after all….

What was chamakh doing in the pitch? Can you tell me? He was our main striker. But in the goal he was nowhere near, but the two wingers were there in the deep…

Fuck me, we need almost a new full squad

    SACK ARSENE!

  19. Geoff

    Samir we can only dream!

Double, I gave my tickets up this season for the first time in 20 years, every-time Wenger is being interviewed I can’t listen, I find it amazing he cons the board like he does, amazing.

I too am thinking about selling to Usmanov, we don’t need a sugar daddy, we just need to spend our transfer budget, that’s what it’s for.

We didn’t replace Kolo, Ade, Gilberto or Clichy and we will soon not be replacing Cesc and Nasri, it’s madness and still no proper centre backs.

I’m with you though, give Vermaelen the DM role and get Cahill and Meretsacker in to defend, Kozzer and Squillaci aren’t the answer and neither is Song.

Wenger won’t admit that though and the dozy board won’t tell him.

He is un-sackable and I won’t contribute to it anymore, he’s had my last pound note.

  20. samir masri

    double

If what you say is completely true then we are Fucked. Also why is wenger still in charge of Arsenal?

  21. Geoff

Paul they count the sold tickets. And given that Arsenal own a bunch of them it’s laughable, they are conning themselves.

  22. bade the gooner (bernard)

Gibbs already set his second injury spell for the season, and we’re only two games into the season!

We where poor yesterday, but at least we won in the best way of the whole bad ones.

But I fear this won’t be enough, those italians shoot on sight, they won’t be missing so many at their home soil…

    SACK ARSENE!

  23. Munitionsman

gunnerblog has exceeded its bandwidth limit…. maybe AWFC has had it shut down for drifting into telling the truth

  24. Paul King

Geoff…my sister & brother-in-law use my 2 seats most of the time and they sent me an sms 15 minutes before kick off asking “Have they cancelled the match and we don’t know it yet?? No cunt here!!”

  25. scott

Chamackh is utter pants, Ramsey gave the ball away continuously and dolphin head gervinho can’t cross on his right foot and can’t use his left foot. He looks shocking to me in the flesh.

  26. Uri Nator

Djourou is just so unreliable and a bigtime crock that we cant count him as a useable CB. I cant help thinking he either did not warm up and stretch properly or he got on the pitch and lost his bottle and did not fancy it. Besides his gormles face and stupid hair winds me up so much.

  27. Paul King

In a way…let’s fuckin’ hope that last night provides the turning point in the club’s history at the Grove. AW has 14 days to prove to the fans of this great football club that he wants to compete with the filthy Mancs & the Chavs….. Provide Tevez with a G5 so he can pole is missus every fortnight, stop fuckin’ around and promote Cahill up to big boy’s football and tell Benzema you could become a world star in the Premier League!

  28. mkv

I have run out of words to explain how i feel about this team and Wenger. Its really draining me emotionally and physically

  29. Munitionsman

transfrs we have to make to save the club

    wenger to PSG (for 20mill)
    Usmanov to owner
    DD to DOF
Coyle or any bugger to Manager
Pat Rice to his chair in front of the fire

  30. Mike

I thought it was pretty abysmal last night. I was confident before even talking about a 3-0 win. By the end I couldn’t even recognise the team, totally unprepared for the season to come.

I’m interested, those of you who want Wenger out, who do you want in?

    Coyle or Moyes for me.

  31. alan b'stard M P

Kenyan gun is right. Wenger leaves and players will wish to come here. Although, the board still have authority, so we can’t be guaranteed of change if he goes

There is always the chance the bastard will be placed on the board, which is not exactly in the fans favour
