How can anyone defend selling Cesc and Nasri the day before the season starts? Unless… Oh and Campbell signs!

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Unless he swaps Nasri for Tevez! And we are closer to Argentina than Manchester so who knows, but it’s the sort of hardball we should be playing, sign him Arsene and all will be forgiven.

Let’s start with what our esteemed leader said yesterday – Our squad is too big, with too many players.

Yes he really said that, and yes he really has sold Cesc and Nasri, the day before our season begins, my goodness.

Let’s go back 2 weeks, then he said that if we sold our two best players we are showing that Arsenal are not an ambitious club.

Yesterday he said ‘ManU sold Ronaldo, does that mean they have no ambition?’
NO ARSENE IT MEANT THEY GOT £80MIL FOR ONE PlAYER, not £50mil plus add-ons for two.

So where I struggle is the statements he makes, he comes out with stuff and then says the opposite down the line, like the Wenger classic of 3 years ago, ‘Judge me in May’ I did! Unfortunately no one at Arsenal remembered.

Maybe next time any of our chums at the AST or whoever has Q&A’s could ask Gazidas or dare I say it Wenger about these huge contradictions, are there no checks and balances at Arsenal? Don’t worry, I know the answer, that question was rhetorical.

Now the reason we have too big a squad is because you fill it with useless kids, then you fail to get rid of those you fall out with, Bendtner, Denilson, Eboue or Vela spring to mind. Or useless older players like Squillaci and Almunia, I mean our number one is Chezzer, yet Almunia keeps the squad number and is still being paid, even though he doesn’t play anymore, same with Bendtner and Eboue.

You pay your useless players so much that we can’t give them away, then you get rid of Clichy, Cesc and Nasri and buy in 6 teenagers (including Campbell) and Gervinho, then say our squad is too big, and no one at Arsenal questions you, weird as hell that.

And you paid £15mil for a 17 year old that’s never played outside of the old second division, but say £17mil for an England centreback is crazy money, who’s the crazy one?.

Our self sustaining model would be even better if you cleared half of our overpaid squad out wouldn’t it?

I hear cesc has been a complete cock through the summer, and you let him, now it appears you are letting him go cheap, because Barca won’t pay what he’s worth, don’t forget last summer you said £60mil. He has 4 years left on his contract and the season starts today, I say let him rot.

Nasri I don’t blame, take the money (or Tevez) and move on, but leaving it all so late is shameful and shocking business, shocking.

Then he compounds it with this statement ‘We feel we were very close last year and that we can improve from what we achieved. We will be in there, don’t worry,’

Close? Close? We were 4th and miles behind, then we sell our 2 best players and he thinks we’ll improve, was he watching pre-season? I was.

Now if Arsenal can sign Juan Mata, Jadson, Gary Cahill and Scott Dann using the £60m we are about to receive, that still leaves the original £25mil from the sale of those flats to get in Tevez or Benzema, now that would be making a statement and that would be a team that could win the league. No doubt. But we have to invest.

All the Barca players are tweeting that Cesc has left, all the papers and the feeds are too, only Arsenal have said nothing, because if we the fans are told on Monday, we won’t mind as much, this management team are not the full shilling are they? What, they don’t think we read?

Anyway, forget them, they aren’t going to spoil the first day of the season, this is it, this is the beginning of the EPL and our road to silverware.

Today we travel to Newcastle, but without Jack, our new midfield general. How will will fare? Read on…

We always start well, last year we went to Liverpool and got a draw, the season before we beat Everton 6-1 away, so we have it in us, and with all the criticism we have had then maybe we’ll see some fight, Newcastle have lost top players from last year and their newbies haven’t bedded in, well not like ours anyway, Jenkinson, Gervihno and Chamberlain, well I expect Gervinho to play today and I expect he’ll get on the scoresheet, so me, I expect to win, if Wenger thinks we can win the league, then games like this shouldn’t be tough, we have those to come.

I’m not sure what team to expect, I think Robin is fit, but Jack, Joel and Andre aren’t, so here’s my guess for today.

Chezzer

Sagna Djourou Vermaelen Gibbs

Song Ramsey Rosicky

Walcott RVP Gervinho

I’m saying Djourou because I think he’s fit and Koscielny has a knock, but if not then he’ll play Kozzer in there, either way I’m not fussed, both are not good enough but both are better than Squillaci.

I expect a high scoring game because even with our hamstrung captain we are by far the better team, I don’t expect them to get more than one goal, don’t forget the 4-4 draw last season was because that twit Diaby got sent off, he didn’t realise you can’t smack nasty players in the cakehole if they foul you, silly sod, he was having his best game for us at the time. Never mind, that was last season and this year as I didn’t go and support another team I am behind my beloved Arsenal again.

So I’m going for a 4-1 win, yes I know, I’m predicting scores again because I feel lucky this season, the Tevez rumour has cheered me up, not because he’ll come, but because we are doing what I’ve been crying out for, playing hardball.

The only person that will be unhappy with the Cesc transfer will be Thiago Alcantara, me I’m deliighted, I hope his hamstrings rot, and I would like to thank Barca for their cash, once again we can add it to the £28mil for Overmars and Petit, the £2.5mil for Gio, the £16mil for Henry, the £15mil for Hleb and now the £40mil for Cesc.

That’s £101,500mil and we paid £500k for Cesc, ha, ha no wonder your economy is in the shitter you stupid pikies!

I think you’ve done more for Arsenal finances than the Arsene Wenger has!

Have a great day Grovers, back to football, hope and maybe some silverware at last.

For the record, I’m delighted we’ve signed Campbell, from the youtube clips, he looks a real prospect.

People need to stop with the “kiddy fiddler” comments about Wenger, it’s very unbecoming and quite frankly, it’s nasty.

    Even Fergie doesn’t like it……..

Like him or not, he’s one of our most successful managers bar Graham, do not sully his name with such bile.

  2. Steve Biko

Where are those in LG who urged us to get Joey Barton? LOL. Rubbish player who happens to be English. Scott Parker is a better player.

  3. Gaston

    Thought on today’s game…

Commitment was good, no one had really a shocker, and defence was solid but was not even tested. NUFC just sat back and defended. Song was lucky to stay on the pitch after deliberate stand on Barton. Barton returned the favour by starting the fight with Gervinho who got in return send off. It’s hard to understand why referees dealt with the situation as they did but here we go. Overall not a bad start to the season, would be better with 3 points I take 1. Expect more decisive final third play in next few games.

Deluded Wenger’s coment’s after the game

    **************************************************************
All I am concerned about is making sure our fans are behind our team – that is my worry.

“I feel as though these players deserve it. At a big club it is important that there is love between the fans and the players. The players have shown a commitment that deserves the support of our fans.

“I tell the fans they should not worry. I have a history over the last 15 years and if you look at the quality of the players I have brought to this club you will see that I did not do badly.”

The Frenchman did admit he was getting frustrated by players expressing a desire to leave the club just as they are reaching their peak years after being given their break by the Gunners at the top-level as teenagers.

“Yes, we are concerned by what is happening,” admitted Wenger.

“We are concerned because when you take players at 16, 17, 18-years old and play them in the Premier League, you need to be brave.

“You do it first of all because you think they deserve it but also because you think the club will be rewarded when they are 23 or 24 and they are then in a position to deliver – so this sort of situation is a concern, of course.

“If the financial fair play comes in, we will be in a very strong position, but at the moment it doesn’t exist.”

    Guys

I noticed something. Last season, when Vidic handled the ball at the Emirates the incident was missed by the linesman. Did any of you guys notice that the same wanker was the linesman who missed Barton’s actions today? What a useless linesman. Also has a funny looking face. Priceless.

  6. Ricky

David, 70% of the people on here have been fully supporting the club & manager over the last few yrs.

Six yrs ago the realists were few & far between if you think about it Wengers had our full backing ever since he’s been at the club & only now after six yrs of failure the fans are speaking out.

Do you think any other clubs fans would have even gave there manager six years? Man utd fans would not stand for it, chelsea have a new manager every other yr & we all know what the scousers are like.

Imo wenger & the board have got away with alot.. Because of he’s success in the past the club feel they cant leave us out in the dark by putting up season ticket prices even though wengers policy has been failing misserably..

If you ask most fans they would prefer wenger stayed as manager & went back to he’s old ambitious self.

Dont make it sound like the board & manager are getting stick for nothing mate.

  7. sir henry norris

Insec, somehow I don’t think Wenger is “sitting idly by” It’s not easy running a football team with a fanbase that has such high expectations.

I think you are sitting idly by, while the press-core tore our manager to shreds yester-morning. it was a f’ing disgrace, (They wouldn’t treat Sir Fergie that way) and all he got for it was abuse from the very people that claim to support the club.

If some of you had more than a couple of brain cells to bang together you of been able to see that Wenger is protecting the clubs on and off the field interests.

So the senile one’s back to selling us the future.

Project Youth Volume 1 fails spectacularly after 6 fruitless years, and what does that deluded twat do? He throws in Ryo, Frimpong, Campbell, Chamberlain and Jenkinson for the second installment! Genius that!

Hey Wenger, Leave them kids alone!

  9. zacharse

Wow. Just watched a 5 min interview segment on Fox Soccer channel with AW. I could smell the old folks home scent through the tv. The guy can’t even come up with a coherent answer to very basic questions, just kinda mumbling about 3rd and 4th place and about a great team for champions league…..??????? Alarm bells going off in my head. I do not mean this at all as an insult, but I’m pretty positive AW is senile, or is headed that direction at an accelerated pace- in the world of PL coaches that is to say.

  10. RP7

For me the most fucked up part of today’s game was not song’s stamp on barton or the gervinho-barton fiaso!

What was disgusting to see was song going and hugging barton during and after the game.

    Heartless dickheads!

  11. Ricky

    Reggie,

Wengers begining to remind me of a boxer thats took one fight too many.

Muhammad ali vs larry holmes comes to mind.

  12. Confidentgoner

    Guys,

Get off Song’s back. You would not have seen his measured professional foul against that idiot (Barton) if not for TV slow mo. He did it well, my mate at the bar did not notice until the slow mo. He was one of our best performers today. Song is best at breaking up attack and passing the ball. Wenger tried to fuck with his game last seasons by asking him to roam forward, exposing our fragile backline.

I sense that Mr. Wenger is in trouble. Did you notice our bench was bare? I hope he does not have a heart attack.

  13. Paulinho

    Wenger protecting the club?

Protecting himself and his self-imposed love of buying kids and trying to justify it, more like.

  14. sir henry norris

Reggie, Wenger is the manager the “Judge him In May cult” has gone as we are now in August, that means new season new hope. Get behind your team cos no matter how much you get paid everyone needs to be loved yep even footballers..

  15. Confidentgoner

Should he bear a grudge against Barton after the whistle? C’mon, its only a game! Young people should hug after a game, nothing wrong with that, imho.

It is Wenger’s fault not to figure that Barton was looking to get one of our players sent off. If I could see it, the manager should have and should have done something about it. Just like he should have bought the necessary assets before the season.

  16. Arse&Nose©

MOTD are primed to rip into Arsenal and Gervinho ‘the dirty foreign diver’ , do we really expect any objectivity from Mr.Toon – Shearer

  17. Rhyle

Confidentgoner – for me all that bullshit hugging shows a lack of pride and self respect. If the bullshit with Nasri a few years ago at the emirates, the incident with Diaby last year and the incident with Gervinho today (let alone stubbing a cigar out on a 16 year old boy…) weren’t enough of a clue that Barton is a cunt and your enemy I don’t know what you need to see…

  18. Wengers Plastic Bottle

Barton is nasty c***t howerver to say hes shit i would disagree
hes like a pitbull that doesnt give up.
whats the point of having wingers if thers no one in the box.
and whats the point of van persie taking corners ffs. Newcastle have learnt how to play against us. we need strong midfielders today Diaby bar his sending off last year would of been perfect as hes a lanky shit that can be hard to tug off the ball and he drives through midlfield creating opening for others Walcott should been more central.
there was one point in the game as well when wenger put his hands up as he thought it was a foul on Wlanut but the wankers let himself down as he had taken the ball forward. will we win the next game?

Positive note was impressed with TV an Forest Gump today

  19. Steve Biko

Blah Blah Mental strength… Blah Blah… Played with a handbrake… Blah Blah Diaby is like a new signing… Blah Blah We only add to our defence if we get superquality… Blah Blah Fotball players are not sold in a supermarketn blah blah…

  20. Truth

Given the away-fans were quick to boo wenger, I’m really fearful how things might turn out at the Emms on Tuesday especially if we go behind. And bear in mind we’re gonna have to rely on Chamakh. God help us!

  21. incesc

    norris

hes got 100m odd to spend.

he deserves all the stick he gets.

his job is to provide the best team he can within his resources, he does not do this. financial fair play is bullshit. we spend lees on players than norwich yet we ar in the champions league with a far bigger fanbase.

i dont condone booing the players but wenger deserves everything he gets and you may wanna look away as its going to get a lot worse.

football manager not youth obsessed bank manager

    interesting stuff.

the sending off was a farce. If bartons actions were less violent then gervinhos lame slap then wenger isnt a stingy cunt…

  23. Spanish Dave

Why do players leave at 24 because they win nothing and play with shit average players with the same wages. Wenger cant work that one out ffs

  24. Arse&Nose©

It’s easy to have a go at Barton but he makes some good points on his twitter:

“my job is to do the best for my team, not to keep Gervinho on the pitch. Theres more to football than kicking a ball…”

“I went down easy, no doubt. Still cant raise ur hands. Agree or not?”

he is right, its not all about skill and physic its about know-how, and his experience of getting decisions, turning games is invaluable to Newcastle. We could do with some of our players being a bit more savvy on the pitch.

  25. reggie 57

Iv always been behind the team! its that it’s hard to stand by and watch what a senile cunt like wenger is doing! i have been a fan for over 45 years now! never have i heard fan’s chanting “spend some fucking money” thats how far we have fallen and i cant see any light at the end of this tunnel especially with a board as weak as our’s ?when the fuck is some one gonna wake wenger from his slumber and do some thing ?

  26. Steve Biko

    incesc

I hear some guy on another blog is saying that Stephen Taylor also hit Gervinho in the melee. Now the funny thing is this. As soon as the incident occurred Taylor quckly claimed that Barton had been elbowed in the face. Taylor also rushed to the linesman to convince him on the same. Despite all this, in a paper I just read, the sanme Taylor is saying in post match comments that believe it or not that he did not see anything and that he belives the ref made the right call. How can a player who now says he never saw the incident clearly, be on video claiming that his team mate was elbowed? One cant make this shit up.

  27. Rhyle

That’s bullshit Arse&Nose…we’re the first to give the likes of Eboue stick (our own player) when he dives or behaves like a cunt…backing Barton’s action as “savvy” is bullshit…we should demand better.

What Arsenal lack is someone with AGGRESSION, not some cheating scumbag who should have an axe buried in his head…Vieira-esque aggression…ok, sometimes it boiled over, but -and this the important bit – most of the time it was juuuust right – physical, frightening but on the right side of the law.

For anyone to want action in an Arsenal shirt of the Barton kind is unforgiveable – we’re not talking a one-off Pires/Portsmouth moment but a consistent Savage/Mills proportion of being a cunt…not want I to see from any Arsenal player and why I’ve been so vocal against the likes of Barton joining the club…

  28. Arse&Nose©

lol how predictable, the MOTD commentators reaction to the sending off is

“Arsenal have too many players sent off”

Yeah, thanks mate ever questioned why?

  29. Steve Biko

The ref today is the most experienced ref at least thats what I heard. But on this evidence what do we expect from Stuart Atwell and other referees?

  30. incesc

all distracting from a disinterested arsenal performance, van persie was not on it, we had no midfield and we’ve lost all the creation in the team.

    fack

  31. Arse&Nose©

Rhyle, by ‘savvy’ I mean letting ref’s know when we are fouled because we are consistently the most fouled team in the league yet we get very few decisions in our favour.

  32. reggie 57

There better be some quality signings coming in to replace nasri and fabregas if not there will be trouble’s ahead!!

  33. Rhyle

FUCK OFF INCESC!! Seriously? ‘Cos I think I’m gonna feel a mug for believing you…

Arse&Nose…just can’t back that sort of behaviour, but I inferred a much worse endorsement of Barton than that…apologies…

  34. Steve Biko

    Arse&Nose©

I agree with you but I question if we can pull it off. Rooney whining to the ref may get a hearing. A foreign player of Arsenal may get a yellow from Dowd.

  35. Steve Biko

On another note what a brilliant opening goal by Gary Cahill for Bolton. The goal reminded me of Vermallen’s goals a few years ago.

  36. Goon from BD

Isn’t that the ref who was Manures ball winning midfielder last season? The one that wouldn’t let us pass……….

What is it with Manure I mean seriously……….why can’t Vidic get a 2nd yellow after committing horrific fouls three fucking times against West Ham and our players reactions and slight touches are red cards and bookings?

  37. Arse&Nose©

Steve, Rhyle this si the problem we face -we lack vocal english players

Wilshire will be one, and we have already seen several incidents where Wilshire has been lucky to stay on the pitch. Fact of life is that English refs will give the benefit of the doubt to English players, our players need to realise this and stop giving ref’s a chance to punish us.

Interesting seeing replays that it was Stuart Taylor who was the instigator of the Gervinho sending off, Taylor went to Ref and both officials to tell them it was an elbow again an English player who ref’s can relate to.

When I say our players need to be ‘savvy’ I mean they need to be more aware of these issues, never raise hands, never stick legs out in the box, appeal for everything.

  38. incesc

    rhyle

we are supposed to be one of the biggest clubs on the planet, we have huge resources from the champions league and a massive fanbase

we should have started the season with a big statement of intent with top players all over the field.

we have it in us to do that but its not happening.

why are we in a position where we cant challenge?

    wenger…

we now have rvp and sagna and wilshere coming through and thats it.

    its a disgrace

  39. Pasman

guys all what you are guys are chatting about doesn’t matter. what matters is Song’s stamping on the cunt, barton…according to the cunt zee

  40. Goon from BD

Has the club always and forever been cheap? Who has been our big name signings other than Bergkamp and Arshavin?

  41. Rhyle

Incesc…now THAT is a post I agree with wholeheartedly.

We fucking INVENTED the modern game (well…Herbert Chapman did, admittedly, but he did while he was Arsenal manager) and know we have to cope with this mediocrity…

I’m not ungrateful, I’ve spoken a number of times on here about how it could be worse, Don Howe could still be in charge, Willie Young could still be in the heart of our defence…etc…and I appreciate what Wenger has done for our club but…and I say this through gritted teeth…the march of time is ceaseless and those who lead eventually must follow…Wenger did exactly to Monaco as he’s done to us…loaded it with kids and Africans with good engines…do you know what they did? FIRED HIS ASS.

  42. Pasman

    anyway, that’s all history now.

    Good from BD,

Wenger is on record saying our highest ever signing is 15M EUROS…my guess is that was paid for Wiltord and/or Arshavin

  43. Arse&Nose©

Wenger should have come out at the press conference and said

Song did stamp on Barton and Song will be fined 2 weeks wages.

We need some strong leadership and being tough and honest is the best way to earn respect.

  44. Rhyle

    Arse&Nose…couldn’t agree more with that.

We are Arsenal and should hold ourselves up to a higher standard…although I may be getting carried away having started to read the Herbert Chapman that came in the post with my 125 pack this week…that shit could have been written last week, unbelieveable that it was written nearly 80 years ago!

  45. Pasman

i think Song should be decapitated for that filthy stamp. fining him will not stop him they earn too much anyway

  46. tenerife gerry

measured by my Arsenal Richter scale of orgasmic performances that hit heady heights of a dribbly old wet dream in February!

arsene’s knee caps have become more attractive than his face, if you have taking the time to notice! This charade of a footballing farce is more fucking drawn out than Brideshead revisited and Upstairs Downstairs rolled into one.

‘SPEND OUR FUCKIN MONEY’ CAHILL NOW

  47. incesc

not even sure cahill is what we need.

we need some creative players badly

fabregas and nasri make players like walcott and arshavin look better than they actually are.

we have nothing to break teams down any more.

  48. Pasman

i don’t think it was penalty either. that filthy gervinho is a fucking cheating african foreigner. how dare he win a penalty?

he and song should be sent to a farm in the carribean to go grow cane sugar.

  49. Pasman

boozy i don’t like you …why are saying something sensible? in fact i hate you because you are related to song.

why are you defending song so much? don’t be an ignorant cock all your life mate.

song and gervinho and any other unruly darkies in the team should be put in a container and sent to Timbuktu

  50. Doublegooner

*If* we’re trying to sign half decent players, are they not going to have 2nd thougts unless we win convincingly on tuesday.

Thats another terrible reason for leaving everything so late.

Knowing Wenger, he probably actually planned to see whether we’re still in the CL before signing anyone over 20 !

  51. Pasman

we should have showed ambition. should have signed henderson and charlie adam and downing and barton and bowyer…all english players with strong spinal cords. their spine is so strong that they can…..zzzz

  52. Goon from BD

    @Pasman
Thanks mate. I guess we have been high fliers in particular times but never really were willing to achieve greater heights. I myself am no 20(thats my age) or 40 years old supporter but what I have found is we have been like this always. Dein came and he was ambitious. He brought Wenger then left/had to go. Wenger remained with the miserable cunts who exploited his talent of finding gems and polishing them and with time Wenger got used to it and lost his hunger. Thats just what I could make out of what has been going on so I could be incorrect. The biggest problem with Arsenal is the ownership. If you look at last years table the top three were the highest spending. “Big” clubs around the world have football people throughout the club but we got only Wenger(who clearly doesn’t seem to be on the tune anymore)

    @Rhyle
About that Monaco thing……..I searched and searched could find nothing about a youth project. Could you or anyone please educate me???

  53. chris

i love how wenger says he won’t be paying over the odds for players when he has, as far as we all know, spent £12 million on a kid from league one with yet again potential… oh the hypocrisy of it all

  54. Rhyle

Has anyone read the review of the game on arsenal.com?? it ends with this…

    They deserved all three (points).

    Absolute horseshit.

you are far too modest to be on legrove but don’t worry you would be ruined in a while haha

so what does bd stand for?

  56. Rhyle

Goon from BD….Yes…Look back to Wenger’s time at Monaco. Look at the team just before he got fired. Then he got fired. Of course…it never got to the degree it has at the Arsenal as they fired his ass before it got too far…

  57. Pasman

    life stinks…i like that film

i love the bit where all the bums sing, ‘life stinks, life stinks…’

reminds me of the ending of evil dead where the evil sings ‘join us, join us…’

Song is a dick, he may have played well, but he still does not move the ball on quickly enough and the stamp was ridiculous and he will get a 3 match ban which will rule him out next Saturday and v manure. But never mind, we have manny Frimpong who is learning from……guess who; Song!

Very frustrating watching it, just like groundhog day, but without the possibility of Fab or Nasri helping, leaving just Jack to carry the creative element. Rambo looked knackered and as bright as Rosicky starts he fades away. AA might be slimmer, but if your heart does not appear in it, well nuff said!

Gervinho had to go, simple as, no matter what provocation you cannot slap anyone around the side of the head. However, how Barton got away with his actions only being a yellow is a joke. As for his going down like a sack of shite and Steve Taylor telling the ref he elbowed him, they should both be brought up on a chartge of bringing the game into disrepute, as it was basically cheating. No doubt nothing will be done though!

  63. Keyser

Goon from BD – People don’t have a clue about Monaco, they just repeat the inanities they read online, unless you’ve lived it I wouldn’t really trust what people tell you, learn for yourself.

  64. Goon from BD

Keyser- Tried that and found nothing other than he found a few players then built a team, won stuff, rejected twice the chance to join the national team, then was near to join Bayern but didn’t happen and Monaco finished 9th he got sacked. Those are stuff what coaches basically do all their lives. All I have heard is some people adamant in their claim of there was a project or there was no youth project.

  65. Keyser

Goon from BD – Monaco won the league under Tigana a few years after Wenger left, check the team, Wenger signed Henry before he left, the year they won the league he won Young Player of the Year I think, then there’s plenty of other players who came through.

Wenger had players like Weah, Klinsman, plebs like Hoddle, Djourkaeff and so on playing for him, a decent team, then look into the corruption at Marseille I think and Bernard Tapei.

  66. Pasman

goon from bd you can read wenger’s biography by xavier revoir…i can’t remember wenger building a youth team at monaco there either but then again i don’t trust my memory on this.

okay this time i’ll be off cherio

  67. incesc

    do you know what

id love barton at arsenal this guy is great and he has arsenal written all over him.

look at adams or keane at man u.

hes a good player, passionate and trying to turn over a new leaf, but still has a load of fire in his belly.

song lulling about looking stoned or barton fucking shit up.

    no contest

  68. David

Why are we talking about Barton instead of talking about how Dog Shyte Rosicky is.

And wtf is Djouru coming on for Ramsey all about?

  69. Keyser

We should bring in Manu Vatuvei if we want shit fucked up, or Kouma Tai (Spelling might be off), Neemia Tialata.

  70. incesc

has song ever won or saved a game for us?

barton seems to do it for newcastle a lot.

2 games ive watched him play and both times hes done more to get newcastle points than song has in his career at arsene fc

    #expert

    and a morrissey fan

  71. Goon from BD

Keyser- thanks I read those but wheres this project youth? I mean where did people get this thing? it seems theres no source because whoever said this to me I asked how they knew……..and they answer they “heard” it from someone. I guess theres no source to it.

Anyways could you help a bit…….look up to my post at 23:42 and tell me is that how it is or theres something to you could add?

  72. incesc

“Why are we talking about Barton instead of talking about how Dog Shyte Rosicky is”

    haha true

he just runs around like a happy dog, no idea

  73. Keyser

He scored the winner against West Ham didn’t he ? Or the first against Chelsea, the second that killed off Man Citeh.

Whereas Barton’s on a free transfer from Newcastle, does some tweeting and is still a massive twat.

  74. Keyser

Rosicky had some decent contribution’s, there’s just no cohesion which is to be expected considering the team we put out.

Fabregas, Nasri, Wilshere, all keep the ball well, work relatively hard and keep it flowing.

  75. David

    Allen Pardew 3 – Wenger 0

Wonder whose the next new manager in the EPL to mug wenger off.

    Steve Bruce?

    Toni (caveman) Pullis

    Warnock?

  76. Lurch LeRouge

keyser, we didn’t see good football from Barton today admittedly but he’s got a load more in his locker than that.

maybe Barton isn’t right for us, but we really fucking need some brass balls in our midfield, that much you must admit.

  77. incesc

i guess neither song or barton are the answer

we havent had a midfield for a few years really, cesc was a great player but he never had a partner after flamini left.

now we need a proper player in there, or maybe 2

as a stats man wenger must realise nasri and cesc and rvp contribute pretty much everything goal wise,

now we only have rvp and he has no service

    christ we are fucked

  78. mjgooner

    Interesting comments……….
Wenger must be the luckiest man alive…….He constantly messes up & somehow “excuses” just seem to appear from nowhere to back him up.

If the Barton-Gerv incident hadnt happened, we would still have drawn the game cos we were just awful all over the park today……whose fault? Arsenes, cos he didnt invest in the team…..but the Barton-Gerv incident just had to happen to give him a hiding place, now thats all the AKBs are talking about, how Barton is a cunt(like we didnt know that before), how refs are always biased against Foreign/Black players(like we didnt know that before), etc

Nobody is talking about how awful our midfield was today…….also how thick can a player(Djourou) be, just a simple pass in the last minute of the game and he fuck up. But really you cant blame him much, if Aryan Pele (Danish & Arsenal world class striker) couldnt get his control right to knock Barca out, what do you expect of a thick Defender.

And Walcott, SMH, (apologies to the England faithfuls) he can and never will be world class cos he simply lacks a footballing brain.

Well, I guess Tiarnan is getting a positive start to his “14 points in 10 games bet”…..1 in 1, 9 more to go.

  79. Keyser

Goon from BD – The Youth thing is basically because from Day 1 Wenger’s given a chance to young players who have gone to be far better than they started out.

The thing is nowadays it’s increasingly harder to do that because every teams on the lookout for the next big thing and pay over odds for their services or offer them wages that make their eyse light up and want to leave.

Unless we get huge investment from the billionaires we’re stuck trying to make the best of the situation we find ourselves in, but then that’d mean attracting already over-paid players with offers of untold riches and just buying our way to glory.

For me football’s all about money now and like in all walks of life greed corrupts and inevitably destroys anything thats good.

  80. Goon from BD

Yeah we should sign Parker. I was one of those wanting Barton but I found out he simply won’t be able to handle pressure.

  81. Keyser

Lurch LeRouge – We need quality players and then you add agression, Barton’s a glorified Lee Bowyer and I’d say Bowyer probably had more potential.

Think of Tiote, he plays the Song role, Barton does a little of everything and doesn’t get too far doing it.

Song’s problem is a lack of speed/ mobility that’s about it, and when you put players like Ramsey and an ageing Rosicky next to him he has to work even harder to cover.

The Answer, bring in someone quicker and more mobile, or make sure Wilshere and Nasri/ Fabregas stay long enough for them to complement each other.

It’s a bit pointless adding aggression when first and foremost we need a stable base to build off.

  82. Keyser

Seriously they need me playing, I’d have pretended Taylor had pushed me and dived into an elbow drop on Barton, I think I could’ve pulled it off without arousing suspicion.

  83. Lurch LeRouge

Bartons game is all about pressure GoonBD,

he takes his opponent to the edge and makes him blink first.

Pressure management isn’t his problem, the danger with him is his game becomes scrappy and physical and is counterproductive to our regular ‘graceful’ game, for that reason I couldn’t see him coming in.

  84. Keyser

I really like that Adeles voice, but because I’ve been programmed to like the atypical sexy female popstars I feel put off if I see her face.

I feel pretty bad to, because I’m fat and ugly aswell, and I feel like I shouldn’t be judging her on her looks.

  85. David

    Woops Sorry Keyser

You like to mention fictional characters from fantasy land and I thought Marge Simpson was a much better analogy but maybe i couldnt come up with a racist asian name to put on the back of a jersey.

Im still miffed we are talking about Barton instead of the shambles of a performance that was.

  86. Lurch LeRouge

think you answered yourself there Keyser, get someone in more mobile.

I don’t think Song was technically at fault for our lackadaisical approach today, if he hadn’t shown the rag to Barton’s bull we likely wouldn’t have much to complain about really.

  87. Keyser

Lurch – He’s just not good enough, last year we annihlated Newcastle in the first half, Diaby’s an idiot, I’d rather slap Diaby about than buy the antagonist.

If you really want we could get him to do a seminar on pitch savvy footballers.

  88. Lurch LeRouge

its kind of a head in the sand situation David.

Some of us, mostly the Song naysayers have championed the free signing of Barton most of the summer, now the Song lovers are looping the Barton is a cunt record in a effort to tac across our bows, your right its pretty pointless.

  89. David

    Keyser

When Chelsea were the Mancity of yester-season. Arsene said it himself that they “all cant go to Chelsea” and he was right.

They all cant go to chelsea/City etc etc.

Tiote is Class imo as is Hangeland.

There’ve been absolute bargains this transfer window.

Inler and Zapata spring to mind. But not to worry were f***kd because of Chelsea, Im sorry City.

  90. Keyser

David – Sorry dude, they all play rugby, and are from New Zealand, they’d all crush Barton.

We’ve had this conversation before here, we should get The Rock in.

  91. Lurch LeRouge

i usually get pretty fucked up at seminars Keyser, the boredom has dropping pills to numb the pain and reduces me to a happy drooling mess.

No he’s not good enough, your right but he’s got something we desperately need hence the flirtation.

  92. David

    Lurch LeRouge says:
    August 14, 2011 at 01:21
never seen the point in Inler, he’s invisible every time i’ve made the effort to watch him.

    ——————————-

Lurch you mustve missed the world cup then buddy!

  93. Keyser

Lurch LeRouge – It doesn’t mean that the more mobile player will work, it’ll just mean his physicality should allow him to cover ground more easily.

But no-ones going to be able to cover raking 40 yard crosses from one end to the other.

Xavi isn’t especillay mobile, they just never put him in a situation where he has to cover 80 yards tracking someone like Theo.

That’s as much the problem as anything else. We need to work far harder for each other and in a much smarter way.

  94. Goon from BD

Lurch- I get what you trying to say. I wanted him maybe still want him due to those stuff. But I was thinking last season when he was given captaincy against Aston Villa he simply couldn’t handle and bottled it completely. Conceded a stupid fould which led to Villa’s winning goal. He just wouldn’t be able to handle himself at a bigger club I think.

    Keyser- thanks

Ok I don’t wanna be a cunt but……….I don’t know why I get this feeling we just MIGHT sign Samuel Eto’o

  95. David

To the Gentleman who is/was parading himself as myself in 21:56

Firstly who the merry F***** are you?

And did you come on here to moan about the moaners?

Get behind the team. All well and good but you dont show yourself in until the season starts just to bitch and moan?

    Changer your name son.

  96. Keyser

Lurch – Yeah and the teams got something he needs desperately, talent.

He’ll never have it, but he can teach pitch savvy to the kids in our team after training or something.
