Player tweets he’s on his way! – Mini Cesc update – The truth about Arsenal Colney medical

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Wow, things really do move slowly when you’re an Arsenal fan.

Transfers aren’t simple unless of course you are any other club other than Arsenal. Sunderland like Connor Wickham, they sign him. United need a keeper, they sign one from Athletico Madrid and yes, they tied up the deal before July 1st despite it not being able to go through until that date. You see, that date shouldn’t prevent a club from talking to players. It’s like making a pre-release order on iTunes.

Arsene Wenger is talking about making signings towards the end of the month over at AshburtonGrove.co.uk. He’s already shifting the goal posts from having players signed up early in the window. He’s also banging on about that self sustaining model and how Arsenal aren’t rich.

Bore me later Arsene… put your hand in the Arsenal coffers and spend some of that cash we know is there.

The medical…

The rumours about a medical going off at the training ground yesterday were wrong, not to say that a medical didn’t happen for a potential Arsenal player, just that they don’t happen at the training ground. Football clubs don’t generally have the equipment to scan for cancer and do all for the in-depth tests they run for players. Even if they were doing just the basics, I can tell you for definite there were no new players at Colney yesterday. In fact, I can tell you there is no really exciting gossip to tell you from the club full stop on the player front.

The only information I gathered was that the feeling at Arsenal is that most of the rumours you’re hearing are being generated by the Barcelona press. Cesc doesn’t particularly want to be here, but he’ll be fully aware that Arsenal aren’t going to sell him for anything less than his worth and I’m pretty sure he won’t be striking… I think someone needs to sit Cesc down and explain his value. You’re worth £54million becuase you’re 24, you’ve got 300+ games of top class experience under your belt, you score goals, you make assists, you’ve won 2 international trophies and Barcelona have bid £40million for an untested Brazilian who has 3 caps… not to mention the price they’re being quoted for Sanchez.

To be honest, this whole Cesc debacle feels exactly the same as last year, you usually know some nonsense is going off when Graham Hunter sticks his nose into the conversation with some definite spoon fed crap from the Camp Nou.

Gervinho is a move still being talked about in the press. Against the back drop of losing Nasri, that really does feel an uninspired move. United are still in the hunt for our man, they think they can nab him for £20million. My gut feel says if anyone is leaving it’ll be him and if he goes, there is no way in a million years we’d sell Cesc at the same time. There would be riots at the club gates (or Underground car park), especially if United were his destination.

In other news, Jack Wilshere and his buddies don’t like boys in pink. According to court transcripts, that makes you part of the PB (Poofs Brigade). Pretty embarrassing that your mates kick off about pink shirts in a swanky West London nightclub. If I were Jack’s agent, and Jack asked me where he should take his muppet mates, I reckon I’d recommend Roadhouse. You can do what you like in there, acting like a twat is actively encouraged and the chances are, if Jack and his mates had started some trouble in there, they’d have taken a pasting.

Jack, when you start earning money, it’s time to ditch your uncultured school friends. You’re part of the elite. Bin your mates who are plumbers and low-level admin clerks. You’re better than them. Buy yourself an entourage, possibly from Adebayor and take the party to your place. Night clubs are so Chelsea.

Ricky Alvarez confirmed via his twitter that he’d love to play for Arsenal. Looks like he’s in the bag then.

Me encantaria jugar en el arsenal, seria un sueño para mi! Ojala dios quiera que se concrete!
@11rickyalvarez
11rickyalvarez

Barcelona benchman killed all Arsenal fans hopes of picking up an inexperienced, untested, under 21 replacement for Cesc when he signed up to a new deal with a release clause of £88million. Nice to know that Barca value potential at double the price they value Cesc.

If we do decide to sell Cesc, how about this for an incredibly novel idea… sign a replacement before hand. That’d be nice. Very nice indeed. It’d also act as a fail safe. If we can’t sign a player, we don’t sell. That’s fair right?

We’ll finish on some swanky pictures of the new kit from Nike and a music video that sums up Jack and his mates, listen to the words. Very apt.

    Orbinho

Arsenal’s win % with Cesc Fabregas starting in the Prem Lge over the last 3 seasons is 61% & 43% without him. 2010-11 with 64% & w/o 31%

  2. Arse&Nose©

27m for nasri and clichy in with both just 12months from being free agents is a massive deal.

I don’t think anyone in their right mind can disagree that it is great business…

however the frustration will lie in them not being replaced with quality.

  3. incesc

it would be funny if we swapped nasri for toure and gave him 200k a week and nasri rots on their bench

  4. zeus

Facebook is so far ahead of the competition I would be very surprized if anyone caught up to them, especially an ‘up-start’ like google+

  5. Big Dave

We wont pay the wages for these players. de jong will also demand big money, we cant compete with cfc or mcfc on that front

  6. Man

I hope we don’t sell these players, maybe 1 but certainly not 3 of them. They are are key squad players. IF we did replace them with players of equivalent or higher quality, they’d still time to settle in which we don’t have. But is anyone sure they would be replaced by players of similar quality even?
Naaaaahhh Wenger is far more clever than that. I can’t see this happening. It’s only Chinese whispers

  7. Rohan

Not google, incesc you numpty. Google plus, Google’s social networking offering. You can only get it on invite and Google have stopped all invites so it’s pretty much closed as of now. It’s a beta really.

Here’s how mancini and wenger talked yesterday?

Mancini: Can we have Nasri if he isnt signing a contract?

    Wenger: Show me the money.

    Mancini: 20m. Good enough?

Wenger (w/ erection)… still waiting to calm down..

    Dat sounds about rite mate!!!!!

It’s like four rooms … He would accepted £14m lol

Wat a fuking mug wenger has become… It’s quite sad really!!

There’s a long way before anyone can come close to FB and its popularity. With Google TV coming out and doing well I don’t think the company is too concerned about Google+ competing with FB right away. It’ll take time though but then again we tried revamping Orkut and making it similar to FB which didn’t work out. I hope Google+ fares better…

  10. Rohan

I managed to get hold of one yesterday so pretty chuffed.

google+ isn’t an “upstart”, zeus. It’s fucking google we’re talking about. It’s already integrated with gmail and the other google labs features. I assume it’ll have close compatibility with Android which will open up the phone market.

It also has very cool features. The chat/video functions are brilliant really. I just feel that it’s a “classier” version of facebook. That’s not necessarily a good thing though.

  11. Arse&Nose©

Nasri and his pals arranged a meeting with Man Utd’s people behind his own agents back – FACT

anyone here still stupid enough to stick up for the fat ponce?
Even if he renews his contract with us he isn’t the sort of character we want in our team, he is a total mercenary.

  12. Big Dave

About to get 60m from 3 sales, and we will spunk the money up the wall on some shit players, wenger lost his touch

  13. Rohan

Not for me, ardent. I ran out of the 10 invites I had. I know a friend who made money out of it by putting it up on ebay. Wish I had though of that.

Wouldn’t it be funnier if we sold Nasri and Wenger got a pay rise…8m per year.. and Nasri rots on the bench ;)

  15. Rohan

I think google+ will cater to an older and more mature 21+ audience and not the myriad of teenagers who are now on facebook.

  16. zeus

“up-start” speaks to its newness Rohan. Either way I couldn’t care less about both of them. There are too many of these things around anyway.

Any minute I will expect Apple to come with iKnow.

  17. ardentgooner

I don’t care if the Cesc and Nasri leave now…

We can change our system. Focus on wing play. Shore up our defence and go back to old days of 1 nil to the Arsenal. You only need that one goal to win the game and I’m sure the likes of Wilshere and Ramsey and RVP can bring us that one goal….One nil to the Arsenal…I dont care about tippy tappy now..Lets do it old school now!

  18. Pat

Rosicky told iDNES.cz: “I don’t want to go somewhere where I would have it easier and where even the ordinary life would be easier for me. I want to achieve something with Arsenal.

“On Monday, I am starting pre-season with Arsenal. Before vacation I was speaking with coach Wenger and he told me he counted on my services and that there was no intention of selling me.”

Rosicky has also yet to give up hope that Fabregas will stay at Arsenal, despite European champions Barcelona appearing to be set to complete a £35million deal.

Asked about the future of his club captain, Rosicky said: “I was talking to him on the phone recently, but I don’t know.

“Even if I knew, I wouldn’t tell. I would like to see him stay because he is a good mate as well as an excellent football player.”
    ————————————-

Lets support him. If he can get a good pre-season in he can be a useful player.

  19. Arse&Nose©

You have to question Nasri’s intelligence in this.

If he stays he is guaranteed to be the top dog in the team with Cesc leaving, Wenger will build around him and the team will challenge for trophies. Why does he want to go to city or utd to become a squad player just for extra dosh? You have to question his ambition and character.

Isn’t that just a get-out-of-jail card for the absolute wank management that has let TWO first team regulars run their contracts down to the final year, £2.7m, £27m or £270m the fact remains – WHO IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS????

  21. Rohan

Rosicky, though, has had his tonsils removed this summer because doctors believed they were the cause of numerous viral infections which have limited his availability for selection.

    lol

  22. SUGA3

    Pat,

mate, he is past it, he did not really have a single good game for Arsenal last season and he is not getting any younger…

  23. Arse&Nose©

Where did I learn about the meeting? The meeting that Nasri and his friends set up with Man UTD behind Arsenal and his OWN AGENT’s back!? The French press had the details, and Auclair just re-iterated that story on radio.

I can not believe people can still stick up for the fat ponce.

  24. Samir

We sell Fabregas, Nasri and Clichy…We’ll finish 6-10th.

We all know Wenger won’t re-invest!

“I feel Ramsey,Gibbs and Diaby are now ready to take over, we cannot sign players for £100000000 million(Even though no-ones suggest I do that)…Besides, it’d kill the younger players….We are hungry…This is the best squad I’ve ever had”

  25. Nick

Sell fab and clichy if he goes he goes but to sell nasri to any prem club is veary cuntish give him what he wants and if he dont earn it sell him jan simples

  26. Samir

    Rosicky wants Arsenal stay
Tomas Rosicky wants to stay at Arsenal and has been given assurances from Arsene Wenger.

mercenaries win the wars, there is a reson why someone is willing to pay you the premium for your services rather than assemble a bunch of peasants armed with fucking pitchforks!

  28. Arse&Nose©

DDM we should never ever have let them get into their final year of their contracts. Fact is we are facing the situation now and there is no point thinking about what we should have done, what we do next is most important. 27m in my opinion is good business for these 2 runt’s as long as the money goes towards signing replacements who will improve the team.

  29. ardentgooner

I’d rather have 2-3 decent players playing their heart out for us than having 2 world class players sulking all season… Cesc and Nasri..You can leave!!!

In other news Fulham already started their season with a Europa League game today..They always start early and have a limited squad yet make it to top half every year….Thats a well run club i feel…They stay within their means but have players committed to playing well…and not complaining about the long season and number of matches….

  33. dennisdamenace

A&N – I agree, but Jesus H Christ, how is it that Arsene & Co. always seem to sort the contracts out for dross like Denilson, Diaby et al, just makes this all the more difficult to accept.

  34. Wenger the liar

So, denilson can’t find a club, rosickys going nowhere, eboue has more chance of being signed up by a circus than another club, we turned down a bid for diary (sure) which leaves bendy left to crawl back to training when he realises a bid from real is not going to be forthcoming.

Meanwhile cescs off, nasris off and clichy is off.

Better make a space in the trophy cabinet now for next years haul!

Fuck that, He’s past it. Get rid. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Arsene has been using the summer to convince NB and Denilson to stay cuz he believes in them.

  36. kapslock

We’re fucked. Cesc and Nasri gone and now Rosicky has said Wenger wants him to stay. THE GUY IS A FUCKING CUNT. I say that we protest and start fucking acting before our club becomes more of a laughing stock and a complete and utter fucking joke.

    CUNTS

  37. Arse&Nose©

ddm, I think denilson and co just sign whatever comes their way.

Reliable sources on the web claim Nasri and Clichy have been offered contract renewals in the last 2 years and refused to sign.

  38. SUGA3

  39. BOOZY

and players like denilson, rosicky and eboue are re-pledging their allegiance to the club- something is wrong here.

  40. dennisdamenace

A&N – Don’t you think that ANT player that stalls on a contract with two years left should be sold?

I know it may not be as easy as that, but why not be in the position we are today this time last year?

  41. Rohan

3 Czech titles and the Bundesliga with Dortmund. That’s probably more league titles than our whole team put together.

is it any wonder the likes of:eboue, deilson, bendtner, diaby, would be crazy to actually leave!! who else values them like wenger does??

  47. Jerry

The whole thing is down to money, thems that have it and us’s that dont or wont fucking spend it anyway. Stagnant Stan doesn’t look like putting anything extra up for transfers but then why should he, he’s put it all into cheap shares so he can make a profit when he does finally sell to Uzminov, which he will. Not as if he ever really gave a toss about our long term future, it’s all about making a profit.

In the mean time we can witness what the effects of a real Billionaire (not his wife’s money) sugar daddy can make. PSG & Malaga are the latest to welcome new money and as Dein said a few years ago “it’s the future”. UEFA rules won’t stop this lot as UEFA are as bent as FIFA and bundles of cash can make representatives change their tune very quickly.

For anyone who had the hope that Stagnant’s arrival would change things it appears you misjudged, for all those who stated the bloody obvious was more likely I’m afraid you were right. We won’t even get a token marquee signing as they do in America. Why? Because he’s already tapped his missus up enough and she’s taken her maxed out card back.

What an embarrassment this once great club is becoming. How can you trust in Wenger after the bollocks he keeps churning out, we go on pre season next week yet no sign of any cunt of quality coming in. We can’t even part-ex the shit we have and 2 of our best players are bailing out before the ship sinks.

What a complete and utter fucking farce!

Dein got both the plastic and the real Billionaire involved, unfortunately the board sold to the Yank.

Man – TBH, a club with true ambition would buy either Ozil, Schweinsteiger or Schneider, THEN sell Fabregas.

Play one of those in a midfield four.

However, Arsenal could get £150m for Fabregas, and we’d still be haggling over £500,000 offer for some unknown French/African who’s gonna be yet another ‘next big thing’……..

  59. BillikenGooner

If we thought Arshavin looked disinterested and bored at times last season, imagine what he will be like when he looks around and Cesc, Nasri and Clishy are gone…

    He’s going to be like:

“What the hell? I came here thinking this was a big club and now I’m playing with this crap? I just wasted the peak of my career.”

  60. Wenger the liar

    Bilken

Arshavin has never been close enough to Clichy to know what he looks like, let alone realize he has left the club!

  61. Pedro

DS… me too… what a shit summer eh?

Still not sure both will leave… that would be fucking madness.

  62. G STAR

Manchester City are confident that the Arsenal left-back Gaël Clichy will become their first signing of the summer, but they have distanced themselves from reports that they are also trying to persuade Arsenal into a £20m deal for Samir Nasri.

The two clubs have agreed a £7m fee for Clichy and the player is expected to arrive in Manchester early next week. But there have been no high-level talks about Nasri’s potential availability and none are planned.

Nasri, who has been prominently linked with a move to Manchester United, has one year left on his contract and City are monitoring him as a possible back-up option for later in the summer. However, their interest has never gone beyond that point and City are bemused by reports they have been closing in on a deal with the player’s agent and club.

City will be relieved to conclude the deal for Clichy, who was the subject of a £5m bid from Liverpool last week, after a difficult start to their summer transfer business that saw them concede defeat to Barcelona in the signing of Udinese’s Chile forward Alexis Sánchez.

  63. Ricky

    WTL,

He is a solid guy & the funny thing is he is only 5’11 but looks like he’s 6ft plus. I did a little research & with that side we might actually stand half a chance with set pieces.

    Sczcesny: 6ft 5
    Sagna: 5ft 9
    Samba: 6ft 4
    Cahill: 6ft 2
    Vermaelen: 6ft
    Wilshere: 5ft 8
    M. Diarra: 5ft 11 1/2 inc
    Walcott: 5ft 9
    Nasri: 5ft 10
    Gervinho 5ft 10 1/2 inc
    RVP: 6FT

  64. Bolo

Oh Wenger i hope you have a few surprises up your sleeve. This guy doesn’t understand that the fans are the most important people at this club, thats why him and the board continue to disrespect us. Surely AKB’s can’t take this shit anymore. Instead of getting rid of shit players the guy is trying to convince them to stay while our best players want to leave.

Sad sad saaaaaaaad state of affairs.

‘Maybe people will be surprised that I signed an Englishman but I looked at his quality, not his passport. Francis is obsessed with scoring goals.’

“Everybody has their cards in their hands, hoping for the big transfer. There is nothing moving yet. The period will be more active at the end of July when we will need to really strengthen the team.”

What utter bullshit! The typical string the fans along comments have begun….

  69. DaleDaGooner

So Gael force has joined Kolo and Adebayor at shitty, well done, lets get a proper left back now.

  70. Dutchman

if we sell Fabregas, Nasri and Clichy. And replace them with shit players, then i will do my very best to be no arsenal supporter anymore. I’m fed up with this club. First they say that we will sign players at the end of june and beginning of July and now they are saying that we will sign players at the end of July. ????? Surely the season tickets are sold…..

What a disgrace this club has become, it won’t be easy to do my best to be no arsenal supporter anymore, but arsenal is ruining a part of my life at the moment. The management has become a BIG joke!

  71. DaleDaGooner

What a joke, selling Clichy to Man City….Arsene, well, checkmate on project youth…another worry for you, Van Persie and Walcott have 2 years left, they are waiting to see what happens….looks like the gig is up Arsene, whatchu gonna do?

  72. Gooby

Get real people we ain’t selling them all, certainly not to our rivals.
i don’t think the arsenal board and wenger are stupid enough

  73. rvp_for_capitain

you guys makes me laugh. Wenger is gave us hope that Arsenal will spend bigger than usual this summer. Even he flirted names like of Benizima at the end of of season. As a supporter, I gave up on this arrogant cunt. Its almost a month and now and he didnt even locked one deal. We the supporters dont deserve this after a season like we had. Unless, there is change in management, I am sure he wont sign any of the players mentioned on the media. I am sure stan will leave the club after making a good deal from usmanov. But till that time, the lie and arrogance of Wenger and the board will leaves on. I wouldn’t mind if Nasir goes, but where is the replacement for him and Cesc. What a fucking moron this guy is.

  74. JACK1

I hope the rumours are true and in turn is the beginning of the end of Arsene and the fucking board for that matter. Winning trophies is not aloud to be mentioned at all during board meeting, raising ticket prices, new outfits, new shares etc etc etc is all you will hear. I couldnt give a fuck what happens at present. Money is god to Arsene and the board. I am actually enjoying in a perverse way Arsenal falling apart, only if it gets that Wenger cunt out.

  75. Wenger the liar

    Rosicky

“I don’t want to go somewhere where I would have it easier and where even the ordinary life would be easier for me”

    Does such a place exist?

  76. DaleDaGooner

I’m so numb….the drivel Wenger was talking today, along with Clichy being sold to shitty, Nasri possibly to either of the Manc cunts, and Cesc for less than value???? And wait for it….RvP and Walcott are watching what happens, as it’s 2 years on contract bitches….great! Arsene, job well done!

  77. thecat

Wenger is a miser. No good growing your own vegetables if you can’t go out and buy a steak once in a while.

  78. DaleDaGooner

“He reminds me of my old French teacher, he ended up getting committed to the funny farm. For kicking and throwing bottles all over the playground”
