Finally Wenger lets Randall go, could he at last have seen the light?

by & filed under Uncategorized.

So news today is that our leader has finally realised what we all did 5 years ago that Mark Randall will never make the big time with Arsenal.

Why oh why did it take that long to work out boss?

Now please understand that like many other young men at our club Mark is a decent lad, but like so many of our loanees, he will clearly never be a first team player and all I have ever said is why keep him, it’s cruel, good luck son, I hope someone like West Ham gobble you up and you have a long and fruitful future in professional football.

In other news Stan has given shareholders 14 days to cash in their shares or he withdraws his offer, thanks Stan, I may just sell mine to Usmanov for 50% more than you are offering, as unlike the board of Arsenal, I know what a bargain really is. Ha, ha!

I wonder if Wenger will surprise us all and splash out on Neymar, the Brazilian wonder kid, that would be neat, lose one Brazilian and buy another, talking of our Brazilian, we’ll see how much his project youth kids are really worth when we finally get shot of him, £3.8mil to buy, plus what he’s cost us and I reckon we’ll need £15mil just to cover our costs, we’ll be lucky to get a third of that, so I’ll have money he’ll be an undisclosed fee job!

What I did find amazing was on Saturday Barca won the European cup without Puyol (notwithstanding the last 5 minutes) They didn’t need their defence, that will tell you something, the whole team get back and defend, there are so many things you can learn from their set up, but first of all you can’t have any weak links, and we have a few.

Aaron Ramsey seems to think we’ll spend big, I hope he’s right, watching him in the useless ‘other nations cup’ the other night we could sure do with playing him a bit more this coming season, maybe he will, who knows, but if Frimpong really does turn out for Ghana, he’s another we will lose at ACN time, so relying on him to replace Song won’t be a smart move, we really do need to sign a DM for sure this summer.

Talking of Song he says we need to be tougher against weaker opposition, no sh*t Sherlock, was that the problem then? I see the real issue as we aren’t good enough against weaker opposition because we have too many players in the comfort zone, you mate being one of them.

We aren’t letting Vela go to the Copa America, why? It may be the poor sods only chance to show anyone how good he really is, or isn’t. I would let him go or sell him on. Not letting him go is petty in my book, I would love to know what pissed Wenger off with Carlos, it can’t be the hooker story can it, after all, pot and kettle!

Well by my reckoning the summer begins on Wednesday (June 1st) so buckle up Grovers and get ready for the ride of your life, are you listening Arsene!

    Danny..
1st June – so get ready for the Chinese torture of the drip, drip, drip transfer news coming out of AFC mate..

Those who call Hazard ‘another skilful anonymous midget’ have never seen the guy play. He is awsome, consistently good. He is strong and likes to shoot from distance. On the contrary, I think he is suited to the more ‘physical’ side of the EPL.

Danny – Window Opens at Midnight today……….

As For De Rossi Speculation, I can see a reason for him to get away from italy but there has been positive talks with Clichy……………

Thanks boys… Get prepared for another summer of bullshit… Never in a million years would I ever find myself saying I’m actually past caring, just know he’ll go through the motions again.

  6. zeus

Hahahahahahaha. U deluded muppets. WHY ON EARTH WOULD WE SIGN DE ROSSI, that would kill Diaby. Fools.

  7. Gooby

the hazard fella is tearing the french league apart at 20, even zidane couldn’t do that back in his days.

He’s better than nasri at the same age

  8. zeus

Lets be honest, the only way we get Hazard is as a replacement for Nasri. Unfortubnately that is the way it is now.

I would love to have him though.

  9. CallItKarma

Theres no doubt that Hazard would improve us as a club, but we still need to boost the defence and get a world class striker in

  10. DaleDaGooner

Sad, but true..i have to agree with gambon about Hazard….the lad is immense…we could use him.

  11. Gooby

i would be delighted if we bring 1 CB 1 LB 1 DM all top class and replace bendtner with a real striker. keep chamakh as a backup and use walcott when they’re all injured

Probably speaking like an ‘ol’ bastard’ now but it cracks me up when people say ‘He was better than him at that age..’ i.e. Hazard vs Nasri – you have to remember that the French league isn’t as good as the PL (not being a nationalist just honest) or as physical – Nasri by all accounts was ripping up the French league when he was there as well. I like the look of Hazard – but is he really what we need? If Nasri goes then, maybe. But that still doesn’t mean he’s going to come to the PL are rip it apart. Also I’m not saying don’t buy anyone – cos f*ck me we need improvements to this team.

You cant compare Nasri & Hazard.

Nasri was an exciting talent in France who won young player of the year once.

Hazard is by far the best player in the league at 20, and won young player 2 years running then player of the year.

If you’re going to play the way you do – i.e relatively attacking but not to the extent that you ever seem to go ‘all out’ or ever particularly press or work for the ball (your players have believed so much of the ‘classy’ hype around them that they’ve grown absurdly lazy) then your best bet is to focus on getting yourself two centre backs and a truly incisive player. Someone who’s going to run through the defense and take longer shots opposed to running a few yards, passing and never attempting a shot at goal.

Criticism of Vela seems unfounded. To me he seems one of your best young talents, and it’s just a refusal to give him the opportunity to prove himself in your team in the role that he’d prefer that’s made him seem like an unneeded player. Jack Wilshire didn’t particularly impress me all too much at first when you played him but Arsene stuck with him (because of all the pressure to have an English player for once) and now he’s shown he’s pretty good.

    You clearly havent watched Hazard.

    Extraordinary player.

gambon, going back to before,in your opinion would he have more of a say in winning the premier league then nasri???

  16. IvoryGoonz

Can only see Arturo Vidal or De Rossi or Flamini as DM.
    But well. That’s Wenger init?
Neymar? Think Wenger will spend like 25-30m for one of the future greatest Brazilian players like Paulo Henrique? I’m sure he wouldn’t even pay 13.5 for Alex Sandro while he would give Clichy something to work for.
Wenger will do as usual. Avoid medias till he can buy whatever is left. And that makes me sad as half a compatriot of his.

  17. gooner

Gooby, got to love Brian Jones, was always playing the most random instrument everytime you saw him with the stones

  18. 1886-2006

Can see money being spent, Stan needs to give the sponsors some bang for their buck. Got some big sponsorship deals that need sorting over the coming years and dropping out of the top 4 is unthinkable for the board.
    Fucking hope so anyway..

Finally, Wenger explained he’s on his way to south america, in order to supervise players (didn’t revealed wih one).

  21. OPG

If that’s true there is also internatonal fixtures over there this weekend, the Dutch tour South America.

What is the difference between Pato and Neymar? I ask because I remember when Pato first emerged, Tim vickery said he was touched by the hands of a genius. Others stated he was the closest thing to Ronaldo that they had seen.

It seems to me that in the 3 years he has been in Europe ( and yes he is still young at almost 22) he has not progressed as much as he should have.

  23. IvoryGoonz

Zeus: and you are right. Reaching same age, the difference is Neymar has progressed to best level in his country and national team because he didn’t have to do as many trips to play for his country and plays home, if you were 19-21 would you find it more difficult to develop if you were on your own at the other side of the planet?

  24. zeus

    ANB

That’s just Wenger being Wenger. If he is really going to the Copa America be sure to bring his chequebook for Neymar and pauper then.

  25. zeus

    Jimbo
    Seriously, no more twitter updates.
Madrid is buying everyone it seems. From patore, de Rossi, aguero etc etc etc. After buying sahin and that other guy. I know they want to usurp barca but come on.

At mist they will buy 2 mire players and I will bet my left nut de Rossi will nit be one of them.

  26. Arsene Nose Best

wenger would probably come out with some excuse,i forgot my cheque book or some shit like that.

  27. IvoryGoonz

ANB: I’d go for an excuse of the type : “Kroenke made me a joke and gave me disappearing ink^^”
seriously, if Wenger remains a tight ass, he’d better pray there are no gays in hell. There won’t be another chance with failures without guillotine…

  28. OPG

Looking at that football transfer league site, it’s amazing how much get’s recycled and to see the most reliable sources.

  29. Gooby

wenger said 3 things to the french press:

he won’t sell nasri to man untd

fabregas isn’t going anywhere this summer

he’ll buy english or players who know the premier league.
