Chamakh has the wrong attitude… | Parker on way? | Love letter exposed…

by & filed under Uncategorized.

There’s quite an interesting interview with Chamakh on the Mirror site this morning. He talks about our season collapsing after the Carling Cup final, the disappointment and the subsequent 3 month hangover associated with it. I’m not sure I can buy into that idea. For me, that seems like the easy excuse and the one the fans will probably take to the most. I thought our season started to go desperately down hill after the Newcastle game. You could probably cite earlier if you looked at game like Wigan or Spurs. Losing leads becomes a nasty habit and in sport, picking up habits like collapsing can sit in the back of your mind all year if you’re not made of the right stuff.

It’s sink or swim at the top-level. You can be an excuse maker or you can be a doer. Most seasons, we find an excuse, it’s either being too young, having too many injuries or the psychological impact of losing an important game.

Newsflash. There are always going to be things that go against you during a season. United lost to us in the league, played/beat Schalke a few days later, then beat Chelsea at home a few days after that. Would Arsenal have done the same? Absolutely not. That’s where the problem is in the team and that is going to be the toughest area to address this summer because it’s a problem that is now woven into the fabric of the club.

‘When they came back, people said I had lost my place. Well, actually it’s more that Van Persie logically got his place back!’

What a line to come out the mouth of a supposedly top class footballer? Conceding that after a fairly good run, he should lose his place? Ok, I’m fine to admit that Robin is a superior player, but you wouldn’t catch too many 27 year old professionals admitting that in the newspapers. It’s a bad attitude in my opinion and it reeks of Mr Nice Guy…

Let’s ship him out this summer and bring in someone who believes in themself, has a history of good fitness and isn’t afraid to have a shot at goal. We can’t go through the season with players happy at being second best or comfortable on the bench because they’re tired.

I read the Adebayor love letter to Spurs in the Evening Standard yesterday. The guy is embarrassment on toast. He claimed Spurs were his first choice in January, that his home is London and Spurs play in London and that he could forgive the Spurs faithful for abusing him because he could understand where they were coming from.

How low can one man stoop?

No doubt Harry will be all over him if he avoids prison and the sack. He’d be a massive improvement on what they have and he’d certainly give them a new dimension up front. That said I’m not sure Manchester City would be too interested in gifting a competitor a player who’d undoubtedly make them better!

Gutted Ade. Still, at least you’re earning Thierry money eh?

I read the strange claims of Paul Merson in the Daily Mail. Arsene asked him to take drugs and he didn’t ask any questions (typcial Friday night from way back when eh?).

Paul, was it  tablet that you drop in a glass of water? Did it fizz? Taste of orange? Buddy… that was a Berocca. Standard office hangover juice. You have nothing to worry about!

He really does look short of a few quid these days, I’m sure making a few crap claims about Arsene Wenger will boost his books readership by a few hundred copies…

Finally, Darren Lewis from the Mirror informed me this morning that Scott Parker could be on his way to the Grove. This was off the back of me stating I fear for whoever takes him next. He’s a top player, he wears his heart on his sleeve and he has a lot of class about him. Only injuries and bad luck have prevented him carving out a career somewhere decent. This season he’s on to play 39 games, which is pretty exceptional. Problem is, he’s been playing under injection and he’s probably been playing through the pain barrier.

Pain is the bodies warning system that something is broken, like with anything, you can use a few elastic bands to work through the problem, but chances are, you’re probably making the problem worse.

With our overly intense training methods and the curse of Colney… I’d be pretty concerned us signing him would end in Rosicknote style disaster. Still, it’d be great to have his personality around the ground, I wonder if there is a younger version of him floating around somewhere?

See you in the comments!

P.S.  I have 2 pairs of spares for the weekend, messers need not enquire (x2 £75, x2£67)!

El Tel, We don’t play Messi every week and we might not every see Messi at the emirates again but we will definitely have to deal with long balls and rory delap and all the other rubgy minded sides next season which makes Samba alot more useful at the moment.

  2. El tel

Another take on the unsigned Samba,

What if Wenger had a list of players in January that he had identified to sign and his top target said he would come but It would be next season only. Samba who was a bit down the list was available in January but by signing Samba you would jeapordise the number one target?

He thought the players he had would cope this season (to which he was wrong) but at the time they were doing ok.

Does this make sense. My point is it’s all a gamble and I doubt that Wenger would only have one target.

By the way yet again I am not an AKB but sometimes things need thinking through.

I think we already know he didn’t sign a striker last season because he waited for Chamckh who we all knew had done a deal way before he came (it looks like he was wrong about him too although I think he will come good).

  3. El tel

I again agree that we need a powerful (beast) at CB read again and you will see this but my point is because Samba had a great game last week he is all of a sudden the chosen one.

We have been linked with vertonghen, Jagielka, Samba, Cahill, Sakho, Mertaseker and a few more.

Maybe Wenger has a wish list and one of those is at the top and ready to come next season?

My preference would be Alex from the Chavs or Kompany from Citeh but as said before hay are not going to sell to us.

  4. Man

“I promise you that if we sign a player we will inform you and when we sell a player we will inform you as well. I would like to keep out of all the other speculation before that.”

Lol. So all you ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ would have to take a break

  5. zeus

Funny thing Auclair said, Arsenal DO NOT have the most expensive tickets in the country, that honour goes to Liverpool.

  6. El tel

    Gooner DNA

Thank fuck we won’t be playing against Messi every week but let me say this.

Let’s see how good Vidic and Rio or whoever are in the CL final when the little fella is taking the piss out of them.

He didn’t do this to the Kosser and if you remember he was going so deep he was almost in his own half at our place.

He scored against us at their place I agree but the Clown was in goal by then and we also had ten men.

    These are not excuses either.

  7. goonerDNA

El Tel, Yep we have no idea what the list looks like and who’s top of it I’m sure Sakho is very close to the top, Young French and from Paris

I’ve heard a few times that Wenger is a big fan of Mertesacker the others who knows, I don’t think we’ll sign anyone until we sell some layers first and who said we will sell any players this year.

  8. El tel

I said on here two years ago that we should replace Wenger. This team teases us by getting in amongst the trophies only to drop away time and time again.

I reckon there will be less moaners if we were mid table every year than there is recently as our expectations are sky high only to be shot to pieces.

Reminds me of the Spuds of the 70s and 80s all show and no Go.

  9. El tel

    Gooner DNA

It’s so fucking frustrating isn’t it.

The one good thing if there could be one is that I am as involved with The Arsenal in the Summer as I am in the season.

  10. wardo

El Tel – makes sense to me. well balanced views imo.

i hate reading the extremely negative and offensive blogs towards Wenger !

I want Wenger to sign the required players (whilst killing Denilson Arsenal career) this summer or i think maybe a change should take place.

  11. Justsayin

In front, Arsenal lacks pace RVP isn’t an outlet and isnt fit enough to score 25 goals….which I personally believe is easiest in Arsenal or United. We need a pacey big guy like Henry, Ade cos thats how Wenger likes his forwards…crossing to RVP is one of the most pointless exercises ever. A hunger for scoring though selfish even….shoots and tries to take on defenders on the run…Theo isn’t ready yet. RVP’s best performances in Arsenal were playing beside another striker…no matter how many goals he has scored this season.

  12. El tel

    Justsayin

I said this the other day and got shot down.

RVP is a great player but he IS our problem at the moment, we score more goals collectively when he isn’t in the team.

Like Diaby he slows the game down and the balance is wrong with Theo yards in front of him alone.

Let RVP play forward midfield and get an out and out striker in and we will have someone for Theo to get on the end of his crosses.

  13. Justsayin

As for the CB…..no more gambles….a seasoned premiership defender that is BIG and tall…..which puts Metersacker at the bottom of my list….I agree with El Tel, Alex is perfect but even if he was offered…monsieur won’t pay

  14. El tel

    Dutchman

Why spend 30 million on a player when you can get a similar player for much less.

VDV was signed for 10 million so is he that much worse a player than Snjeider?

Who would you have signed last year for loads of money.

Would you have Ozil or VDV?

  15. El tel

Mertaseker is slow and would need adjusting to the Prem. I would gamble on Buffon too ASIC his back goes Chessers will be a good back up.

Almunia and Dennilson must be first out the door followed by Bendy and Diaby for me. These four get on my nerves.

Rosicky will be ok as he doesn’t mind sitting on the bench and he is a. Quality player if he gets his mojo back but the others have always been shit.

  16. OPG

It’s that time of the year almost, the Summer transfer window exciting but frustratingly scary if Wenger doesn’t change.

  17. goonerDNA

Justsayin, Mertesacker is definitely one of the best defenders in the world 70% Tackles won highest in Germany, no yellows no reds….Samba Cahil not sure if they even come close to Per

  18. zeus

Hoping for a busy summer. Mertersacker or Jan Verto…., Inler and a striker who wants to score.

For those interested, Auclair also pointed out that although Arsenal’s defensive problems are ther for all to see, offensively there are problems as well.

The pace has been too slow and far too many players in the squad are too willing to make the safe and easy lateral pass in trying to create space as opposed to the Wilshere way of driving forward, taking on and beating players to make space for others.

  19. Queen of suburbia

Snjieder? The guy who hates Van Persie and passed to him only once in the entire world cup.

Fucking hell, I’ve heard it all now!

  20. Gooby

Gameiro is a really good player overall and a natural goal scorer

I’d be fairly happy if we sign him

  21. John Crossy

“Let’s ship him out this summer and bring in someone who believes in themself, has a history of good fitness and isn’t afraid to have a shot at goal.”

Can we add to the above requirements ‘proven ability to scores goals’ otherwise Nic Bendtner will say “I’m your man!”

  22. zeus

    Mertersacker is slow……….

Who cares? Part of the F-ing problem is we dont have a defensive strategy. Maybe with the major overhaul and re-thinking on tactics, we can add what is expected of ALL the players when we DONT have the ball.

I hate seeing us camped out on the halfway line anyway. Build the defence around him.

  23. JJ

I can see Wenger getting Parker (and think he is a much needed personality) but I agree that he is likely to become our next permacrock.

    “Messers”?

  24. Nick Drago

Not been on here for a while, I’m going to the game on sunday is there a march still going on???

  25. arsenal fan

well, wenger will hopefully spend this time
    1. 20million failed bid for reina
    2. 16million failed bid for jagielka
    anyone remember last season
so he has the money + the pressure

  26. BillikenGooner

It’s crazy when the German national teams 1st choice CB for the last 2 WCs isn’t considered good enough for us, the English league, or the “English game”.

Maybe that’s more telling about England’s international results compared to Germany’s.

  27. Gooby

chamakh isn’t as bad as you’re trying to make out, he works his socks off, you got to give him that!

  28. WengersSweeties

    Wenger’s latest comments:

“The players had a fantastic attitude for the whole season and I am frustrated because they have not been rewarded,” said the Arsenal manager.

“The players have produced every single effort they could on the pitch, but maybe we were a bit too nervous when we had to cross the line.

“In the final minutes of big games, we lost and it was not down to the fact the players did not want it, they want to do well and have been remarkable, but we lacked a bit of calm in some situations.

“Experience will help with that and also the transfer market will help as well.

“We are looking to strengthen every year. First we look not to weaken because we want to keep all our players, and then try to strengthen,” he said

It is not the number, it is the quality. But we don’t rule out any position and we don’t target any special position before the transfer market.”

The Frenchman again refused to concede that his team had under-achieved this season despite admitting his frustration at the end product.

“We do not feel that we under-performed overall because we were in the Carling Cup final, the quarter-final of the FA Cup against Manchester United, where we lost three days after [going out to] Barcelona [in the Champions League], so we produced quality games and at the end of the day there are objective signs for us that show we have the quality,” he said.

“We feel we have made up some of the gap between us and the top teams from the seasons before – we are top of the league in the top four of Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City, so we have every reason to be frustrated.

“We can still catch the second place and we can finish second, third or fourth, depending on our results.

“Of course we want to finish in the top three and if possible second. It is not unrealistic [to finish second] when you are just three points behind.

  29. Evan

Wenger quote: “If you find one player who I asked to take an injection to play one game, no matter how big the game was, I would resign tomorrow morning.

    ANYONE NO ANY PLAYERS??

  30. WengersSweeties

Looking at my comment above quoting Wenger I think reading between the lines you can kiss goodbye all these Big name players that have been suggested on here in the last couple of days….

  31. OPG

“We are looking to strengthen every year. First we look not to weaken because we want to keep all our players, and then try to strengthen,” he said

Yes because selling the useless deadwood will weaken us.
Suprise, suprise at Wenger’s comments and him thinking we’ve had a good season just because we’re top of the top 4 league.
Anyway I’ve put the 2004 Henry and Vieira in the current team in PES 2011 to add some mental strength.

  32. Gooby

    OPG

It’s about the main players, he’s talking.

No manager in the world would go out and say: “well, rosicky is past it, he has to go” “denilson is shit” “almunia is a cunt and show fuck off”

i think he already knows they’re not good enough

  33. OPG

Or should I say very positive season rather than good season, it’s been very samey season.
Gooby let’s hope so because it’s not only a few players but it’s a couple, it’s just so hard to trust him nowadays with his amount of trust with certain players. Just look at Diaby who’s still injured, what’s the point in him?

  34. WengersSweeties

I dunno, those latest comments from Wenger have me very worried.

You have to change the way things are done because we’ve already been here before…. time and time again.

You don’t just crash out of 4 competitions if there are only little problems!

Top players and different styles in tactics and a more solid defence is needed.

  35. Man

Has anyone shot Merson yet…the fat twat.

I think it’ll be better if Wenger didn’t give any interviews until he announces a signing…it’s been a very frustrating season.

Manure winning the league and reaching the champs lge final with that lot is a poor reflection on him!

  36. WengersSweeties

    Man,

Then Wenger wont do any interviews at all.

Also, what do you mean with that lot regarding Utd?

This Utd team is one of the best I’ve ever seen under purple nose.

  37. arsenal4ever

i am sure this is wengers last chance. dont listen to his bullshit he says in the press. there will be big changes. he is under more preasure than ever. most fans already not satisfied. waiting for the march on sunday and wengers comments afterwards.

  38. Man

…that lot are shit WS…you should know that, even their top players like Evra and Rooney have underperformed all season

    On the Wenger interviews…you promise?

  39. Confidentgoner

I realized we needed a change of manger 3-4 years back. Glad to see that other Grovers are catching on. AW thinks his team of nearly men are good. I hope he is on a massive PR drive to increase the sales value of the ff dross:

Alumina, Daiaby, Bentner, Squillachi, Clichy, Gibbs, Eboue, Vela, etc. Les not mention the massive no of youth players that will not make it.

  40. WengersSweeties

They have underperformed I agree, and they’ve still finished (will) champions.

For me Utd’s Squad is the best I’ve seen. They have Strength, Desire, Work Rate, Technique, Young, Old and depth.

I’m not surprised they are were they are at all. It’s frustrating because we could be that team with the right additions and the right tactics.

I fear we wont get the right players we want and Wenger is going to invest (if any) the squad with some more unknowns.

He certainly hasn’t indicated what his intentions are yet but what he’s said already rings the same bells as the past few seasons.

  41. Man

WS that’s bollocks…there’s far more talent in our side than there is in the manure squad. What we lack, and I’ve been saying this for 2 or 3 seasons, is the mental stuff…that stuff that makes champions!

  42. WengersSweeties

    Man,

Talent alone isn’t enough. That’s obvious.

Man Utd have the right balance in their squad..

Question: How many players of Arsenal’s would you replace in the Utd squad?

  43. MARK GOONER

just saw some clips of hazard from his last game on eurosport

the guy is as good as anyone in this league at running with the ball

him and theo on the flanks with rvp and benzema/eto’o

    now were talking

  44. Man

All except their back 5 minus their RB, Sagna gets in ahead of Rafael. Maybe Fletcher instead of Song…RvP or Chicharito? RvP

So in all only 4 or 5 of their players will get in our team

  45. WengersSweeties

Owen Coyle has admitted that Cahill is ambitious but wants to financially make sure that the right thing is done by everybody.

He would be a great addition to our squad. You just feel one of the bigger boys might pinch him.

One things for sure, Cahill looks set to move bigger from Bolton.

  46. Dutchman

Wenger just keeps defending his players! That’s also why he is not buying. He really thinks that he has the best players ever! Fuck off wenger!

  47. Man

I have a new-found respect for Fergie after this season. This is his biggest achievement ever, even bigger than winning the treble in 1999.

  48. WengersSweeties

    Man,

And Park?…Rooney and Nani? they wouldn’t make it into our side?

    Give over mate.

    The table doesn’t lie.

  49. Sabeel

    Top four mini-league:

    1. Arsenal 10pts +3 (goal difference)
    2. ManUtd 10pts
    3. Chelsea 9pts
    4. Man City 5pts

    …mental strength ..champions..lol

  50. OPG

Lol as I’ve said before can’t wait for the end of season so he can’t give these interviews, its all up to him in the summer.

  51. Confidentgoner

United could beat Barcelona with the way they play. They are going to plBarca with 5 midfielders and 1 striker with fast wingers – Valencia and Nani. Sir Alex is a master tactician and I expect him to cage Barca.

The ManU team though missing Tevez and Ronaldo, is still a very good team. Valencia is pretty fast, can cross the ball. Ok, Ronaldo was scoring for fun, but he never had defensive responsibilities. In this ManU side, Valencia helps his full back a lot and can assist. Then you have Chicarito, who heads very well for a small fella and times his runs behind the defense to perfection. Tevez was a workhorse, but didn’t score many goals. Chicarito, scores and is pacier of the two. Then you have Rooney et al.

  52. JJ

I guess Merson wont be writing for the Arsenal Magazine anymore… What a strange article… and what is up with the “MJ” shirt Wenger is wearing? Did they just photoshop his head in that pic?

  53. Catford

I have to agree with Man. Having loathed and despised Fergie for years, I now have huge admiration for him as a manager. The man is a winner.

  54. Confidentgoner

    Dial,

Do you like he diving cunts? I’d rather ManU than a bunch of cheats who play scintillating passes, never mind if they trouble the keeper. And don’t get me started about Messi. He is always never threatening until you reduce the opposition by one man and he has tons of space to dribble.

The only way Barca will win is if UEFA brings an idiot of a referee to officiate the match and here are quite a number of idiots in UEFA’ s books as match day refs. Colinas was the best and has remained unassailable since his retirement.

  55. JJ

I am with you Confident… If Utd look to be gaining the upper hand, the ref will intervene and swing the power. Most likely he will send someone off to help Barca out. Pepe and RvP spring to mind, also the Higuain goal that was not allowed.

  56. JJ

I will give Messi credit for one thing, he doesn’t do all that play acting stuff that the rest of those Barca cheats do. Quite unbelievable in its own right.

Pep is the only person I have respect for that whole camp. I honestly think he is a little bit embarassed at how they have won their last few CL games.

  57. kwik fit

    |Iam an ARSENAL fan a real arsenal fan for years and and years and years and years and years unlike Bastard and this cesc last game this is a fucking motional!

  58. kwik fit

PEDRO/GEOFF FUCK THEM I AM MR ARSENAL FOR A FUCKING LIVE TIME MY WORLD FINISHED AT NEWCASTLE SO GUYS STOP tRYING CUS MY LIFE IS GONE!

  59. OPG

I will not give you any names,” he said. “We are not specially buying on the flank. We have Walcott, we have Nasri, Arshavin and Bendtner.”

    He’s lost it!

  60. JAmonToast

A younger better version of Viera = Moussa Sissoko, cant believe he has not been snapped up yet.

This guy would easily get into our team over Song, he also has bundles of energy.

  61. xx

I DON’T CARE ABOUT ADE, PARKER, CHAMAKH. ALL I WANT IS FOR WENGER TO LEAVE. HE HAS NOT WON A TROPHY IN SIX YEARS. THAT IS SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE,EVEN FOR ARSENAL WHICH PUTS PROFITS BEFORE TROPHIES

  62. xx

I DON’T CARE ABOUT ADE, PARKER, CHAMAKH. ALL I WANT IS FOR WENGER TO LEAVE. HE HAS NOT WON A TROPHY IN SIX YEARS. THAT IS SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE,EVEN FOR ARSENAL WHICH PUTS PROFITS BEFORE TROPHIES

  63. Marco

    You said it OPG.

None of the above actually belong on the flank!

Oh i forgot , we dont have wingers anymore , so lets just chuck anyone out wide and hope for the best.

Jeez it’s gonna be a long summer.

  64. El tel

    Geoff/Pedro

If you get to read the night posts I urge you to do some banning.

There are Manc loving importers commenting on an Arsenal website and it’s all wrong.

They slag Wenger and our Team then praise everything Ferguson.

How dare they call Barca cheats and hope that the real Scum from Wankester beat them.

What bollocks as there has and never will be another Team who cheat ax much as the Wanks.

They know who they are they are the ones saying that Winning this title is the Wancs finest achievement, their best ever Team.

These are the same twits who would have declared it the easiest title to have won since Blackburn did it.

Ironic that the FA have started to act against Lord Fergies cheating antics now the season has ended.

Fuck them cheating cunts fuck their soft penalties and unpunished henchmen, fuck them and all their Northern allies who are on the payroll or just hate Londoners.

This title was a joke this season so let’s not overripe the cunts now they have won it.

I hope Messi and his cheating diving buddies fuck Fergie and his cunts so badly that it ruins them.

No matter how bad we played in losing this title there were enough games where dodgy decisions put paid to us, enough decisions to have walked this League.

If someone with a better memory than mine checked it out they could do a sum to show the points we had stolen.

I don’t buy those who say it doesn’t matter as drawing to Sunderland away to a goal scored way past the added on time and The penalties given against Newcastle plus the non offside goal against Sunderland at home in tight matches DOES make a difference.

We got shafted more this year by Officials than we did in the Eduardo leg break season and someone has to call the FA to task about it.

The Wancs won the League with a goal scored by Vidic who should have been sent off when he tipped the ball with his fingertips from RVPs head against us, he would have been banned against the Chavs and therefore wouldn’t have scored the winner and it would have weakened their Team.

Well done Wancester Utd, well done wee willy Fergusmoan. Now fuck off and lose to Barca.

  65. Confidentgoner

He is a talking crap. This man gets paid millions to come 4th, that is the biggest rip off on the fans. The current board and Wenger must go. This same excuse could be said of this team for the last 6 years. The faithful will still lap up the crap .
