A message for Stan Kroenke from Le Grove, sack Peter Hill-Wood and win the stupid Arsenal fans over

by & filed under Uncategorized.

Stan, if you care about the club, if you care about the traditional and the Arsenal way and if you want to get off to the perfect start, then sack the Vice Chairman, Peter Hill-Wood, he’s out of touch, disliked intensely by the fanbase, disrespectful to the people that pay his salary (us) and offers nothing save a shower of used fag butts he throws outside the Diamond club entrance on match days. And yes, we’ve all seen him.

He just called the AST stupid people, has never paid to watch a match, uses precious funds on his salary that could be used to pay for players and is probably laughed at by everyone of the Arsenal management behind his back, his mouthpiece is Britain’s most down market paper and he’s only at Arsenal because his dad was the chairman once, and if he’s looking down I bet he’s cringing. I met his dad, he was a nice guy. I never met his Grandad but like his dad, both were former Chairmen of Arsenal and both were county cricketers. They earned their corn, Peter inherited his.

If you want to excite the fans, replace him with the man who got sacked because he wanted you on board, David Dein. Remember him? A decent man, one who was good to me and my sons years ago, who is revered by most of the fans, brought Arsene Wenger to Arsenal, is respected by everyone in football, pays for his own tickets and would bring glory back to this club in a way that no one else ever could.

Do you remember when you first came along? Peter Hill-Wood said he didn’t want your kind, he’s as mad as a hatter, hated by the stupid fans and is constantly bringing Arsenal football club into disrepute. He is an embarrassment to Arsenal, like the mad relative you keep in the attic and feed on fish heads, he should be fired, if you keep him then by proxy you are condoning him and his insulting actions. And that Stan is not a good start and the way to win the fans over.

Do that and we will all be behind you from day one.

The other thing is I hope that Red and White keep their shares, autocracy is not healthy, debate and discussion is, I as a fan and a shareholder feel disenfranchised, I have for sometime felt that Arsenal is no longer my club, do the right thing and make me love my club again. A football club is more than just making money, it’s a community service, we want to feel we are part of it, if this club was being run like a business, then how come I’ve never had a dividend, how come Edelman was allowed to do such dreadful deals and how comes you are still paying the fish head? You wouldn’t run a business like that in America, would you?

As for tradition, we weren’t always tight fisted, in fact all of Arsene’s silverware was wrapped around big money signings, as for history, in the 30′s we were called ‘The bank of England club’ Why? Because we bought the best players, you don’t need to spend a £100mil, you just need to see we spend on the right players, get rid of the wrong ones and that then won’t cost much, who are the wrong ones? You watch the odd game, you have eyes, you decide!

Talking of our policy of scouring the world for footballs best young talent, how come we got Carlos Vela, who we’ve had for 5 years and the Mancs got Hernandez. They didn’t have to send him to Spain for three years and he has been banging them in all season, just a thought, perhaps we need to look at our scouting network, don’t get me wrong, I like Carlos, but right now even West Brom aren’t giving him playing time.

So the other day when I was getting frustrated at watching Bendtner (Bambi) and Chamakh (freebie) struggle to even get a shot off against Blackburn, I started to think about all the best forwards around right now, Messi, Tevez, Villa, Suarez, Hernandez and Rooney.

Then I thought about some of the great forwards of yesteryear like Keegan, Dalglish, Greaves, Ian Wright and Cliff Bastin! Well the one thing they all are, or were is smaller, so I got to thinking about our problems in front of goal, yes we have scored a lot but from all over the park.

Robin, massive talent and this year has again proved why we should keep him, but they said on Sunday he’s only played 104 EPL games, well Cesc has played 300, been there as long and has had a lot of injuries over the last three years, so Robin’s return is not great. What to do?

Give him some support, give him a goalscorer that could be in the Owen mould, put Theo up front, he’s not a winger, he has quick feet and knows where the goal is, then bring in a new winger and save ourselves a fortune.

With the games we have left I would give him a go, he could be the unknown key that could unlock the Premiership and out-fox Fergie, why not, he’s out-foxed us for the last 5 years.

Today I hope I’ve given Stan food for thought, I hope he reads it, Hill-Wood will though because I know that his press cutting service will pick up on anything that has his name ‘Peter Hill Wood’ on it, read it Peter and fall on your narcissic sword, because we all think you are a freeloading twit who thinks he’s above us real people.

Have a great day grovers, tonight we get to see the spuds crash out of the Champions league!

Here’s my wish list for the summer sign one of Howedes/Cahill/Mertesacker or Subotic, sign one of Matuidi/Inler or M’Villa and sign Benzema and I will bleeding wet myself next season.

  2. gazzap

I am supporting Bolton in the FA cup and Schalke in the CL. And Arsenal to win the title.

    RIP Danny. True gooner.

  3. Arsene Nose Best

Spurs set new record: highest ever aggregate defeat in Champions League over 2 legs for an English team – five goal margin of defeat.

Top post Geoff, Agreed with PHW and his drossy retarded self in our Club chairmanship…What a tosser, I’m an American and not thrilled with Kroenke owning major shares in Arsenal! And i don’t think David Dein should be worshiped or welcomed back! That being said, RIP DANNY, True gooner lost. Has to be said, was Danny forced to give up his 16%??? shady shady!

Wenger is loving this, status qou remains, we wont be spending huge and some dross will remain, Denilson has to go! and along with a handful of others.

But i sure am glad that with all of Chelsea and Spuds spending, they still suck! Now how is it that a rebuilding Manure are still in for 3 trophies? Reeks!

I doubt we will be getting Hazard, JET, Ryo may be slot in…I hope we get him though and can Kroenke demand 2 trophies from Wenger, please! That being said the striker i want in is Aguero! we need that pitbull upfront!

Schalke 04 for the manure, what a setup.

    DS,

I will have you know that one of my best mates is a complete fairy and I pride myself for never having called him a poof ;)

homophobe? there was a commie party secretary in Poland in the ’60s and when the subject was brought into duscussion he just said: a dude with a dude? Nah, impossible

  6. bennydevito

Do Spurs have a break now until they play us? Benzema looked good tonight, no way will we be getting him this summer.

  7. yangkamp10

Sad news about a true gooner passing. RIP Danny Fiszman, you’ll be missed.

Lets hope that those remaining can deliver a trophy for him this season, and the board can be inspired to get behind the team and the fans and restore us to the greatness we were only 6 years ago.

What a shocker. RIP Danny. With all this debate about Dein today it’s easy to forget that, while Dein’s genius was with building the playing squad – negotiating for and signing new players etc – the guy who really built the club off the pitch was Danny F. Thanks for the stadium Danny! I suppose this explains the timing of the announcement. Shows how much he cared about the club he built that he wanted to get his affairs in order before he went.

no worries Albo, you know I will be waiting…

and you know that I agree that given the self-imposed restrictions and misplaced loyalty AW has not done half bad, you know?

my beef with him is that he could do better!

Then in fact we have nothing to argue about. I too think there are things he could have done better, and certainly squad building decisions that he has got wrong. I have also never rated him as a matchday tactician (even when we were winning things). I do think he might be the only manager in the world who could have kept us this competitive on that budget though. (And as you know, I don’t believe the restrictions are QUITE so self imposed as many here believe. For example, I truly believe he should have spent in January, but in the wider scheme I don’t think we’ve spent all that much less than has been available)

I have read another interesting theory brought forward by one of the Arsenal Arsenal regulars, Gooner in Exile:

My guess is that DF wanted to make sure the deal was done before his passing as any inheritor may have tried to maximise wealth rather than do what is best for the club, if that was Fiszmans final act I think we should all be eternally grateful.

I don’t think this is the right time to discuss the latter…

    R.I.P. Danny!

    nite!

sure PHW is a chump and should go but he is not the guy that manages the team that wins nothing seasons after season.

Wenger is the problem and he needs to go, why fans are angry with him but just want him to change instead of leave is a mystery to me. Wenger is never going to change because he belives that what he is doing is right and belives himself and his methods successful, that is not the attitude of a person that is going to change.

  12. AA23

    And RIP Le Grove.
Albo killed this place tonight. Embarrassed the owners.
Start your own blog Albo, this place is beneath you.
It’s beneath any real Arsenal fan.
    Bye.

  13. Barrie Lee

    Wow.

Having read this I feel like standing up infront of my laptop and giving you a standing ovation. Even with nobody watching.

Absolutely fantastic read. I agree with every single word.

I truly and utterly LOVE Arsenal. My first ever game was seeing John Jensen smash in his first and only goal from the left wing right infront of my 6 year old eyes against QPR.

I have jerseys of every season. I still have Wrightys smeared signature on his photo I got as a junior gunner.

I could go on forever about how much I love this beautiful and classy club. However, I know these feelings are shared with so many.

Now having said that, if you were to completely invert those feelings? turn them inside out? create the opposite of my feelings to this club.

THAT would be how I feel about our chairman. He is a disgrace to every Arsenal fan who ever stood up and sang, whoever roared at a Clock End goal. He spits on us all and laughs through cigarette stained teeth.

As I’ve said in previous posts, he is raping this great club. His greedy, fat, wrinkled grubby hands are bleeding this club dry like a stone.

He has NO respect for the history of the team. NO respect for ANY of the fans. Who without us, his silver spoon would have rusted and crumbled in his ignorant and pompous mouth.

Kroenke. The Arsenal fans. ALL the Arsenal fans truly and desperately miss David Dein.

We all adore this man. HE IS ARSENAL. HE is everything good that is Arsenal. He LOVES this club. He always has and always will.

But you are a business man. A respect one Stateside. So allow me to address you respectfully as one.

Ignoring his love for this club for a moment. He is a genius and a pioneer. He saw the vision and intellect and all the fantastic qualities Arsene Wenger had when the rest of the world replied ‘Who?’

Together with Wenger they created the most exciting team the Premiership had ever seen. The most entertaining. The most loved by the neutral.

On top of this. It was his partnership with Wenger that created Manchester United FIRST real threat and this in turn began to shape a Premier League that would be forced to evolve.

He is the man who has helped Wenger bring success whilst maintaing our class, dignity and pride. He helped find and finalize fantastic signings without raiding a Sheikhs pockets.

You’ve told us you want to bring success back to this club? We want to believe you.

If you keep Peter Hill Wood, the man who publicly insulted you and looked down his nose at you, you will not see this club change into something you helped create.

If you bring back Dein. The man who opened the door for you. The team of Yourself, David Dein and Wenger would be formidable and extremely productive.

The fans would be ECSTATIC and a new boost in morale with us fans would undoudtedly lift the team.

The success would follow, hence, the money would follow.

I appreciate business is 1000% more complicated than just this.

But we all emplore you. This IS the right thing to do. The logical thing to do.

Since Dein left, we have year after year become weaker. Trophy wise, morale wise, squad wise and talent wise.

Nobody fears us. Everybody waits for us to fail.

In David Deins day. This was NOT the case.

Again. We implore you. Bring back Dein. He is an essential pillar in the structure of this great club.

‘I would never disrespect Bolton after all they have done for me but I am ready for the challenge. I still speak to Jack Wilshere after his loan spell here and when I watched him in the Nou Camp the other week I couldn’t help thinking, “That’s where I want to be: testing myself against the best”.

quote from cahill a good sign that he wants to come to arsenal and with our relationship with bolton we should do it

  15. David

Fizman clearly doesnt believe in Suger Daddies.

He believes in the “self-sustained” model and credit to him for it because he is indeed a visionary and had the balls to follow through with the Stadium and long term strategy plan.

While the plan is designed to make sure that AFC has a comfortable future it seems to lack the ability for us to be competitive against our rivals.

Kreonke is in place to continue this style of management and i forsee that he will be the hands off type of owner allowing Wenger some more free reign.

But what happns when Wenger decides to retire?

A less talented manager wouldnt be able to sustain this type of 2nd place is a trophy success.

It is new grounds that Arsenal FC is exploring and in many ways to be proud off.

But Im solidly and firmly with this one David Dein on this one.

Are we going to continue this experiment forever?

  16. Youssef

Hey Geoff. How much money do you think it costs to keep injured players? I mean besides paying their salary, I am sure that the hospital bills are enormous too. I wonder how much would be saved if some of the crocks like Rosicky were sold.

  17. SUGA3

    AA23,

haha! don’t you worry, LG is well alive and kicking and if the club shall continue with the failed approach, this place will soon have more hits than Arsenal.com and more props and stunts than Bruce Willis

the only thing that may kill this place will be the club starting to act like a club, not a charity for retarded kids who wrote to ‘Make a Wish’ foundation about their dream of becoming top footballers!

  18. SUGA3

    Barrie Lee,

and I could just stand up and give you the standing ovation for your contribution – post of the day without a shadow of doubt!

  19. gnarleygeorge9

Gotta do the Poo! Gotta do the Poo! Gotta do the Poo! No I’m not constipated  I’m talking about this weekends opposition. If we do the Poo, then we can topple you know who, 4 The Title

  20. SUGA3

    g’day gnarley,

there is also the small matter of negotiating the more tricky (IMO) tie againt out inglorious neighbours, who will be rested and willing to give their ugly fans something to cheer about ;)

    have to go, laters…

  21. gnarleygeorge9

    Suga

One game @ a time 4 me. It doesn’t pay to get ahead of ones self when it comes to winning a marathon like The Title. Some gooners got all jolly after only winning a “stage” over Barca & just expected Brum to just roll over in the CL.

  22. gambon

    We’re really gonna miss AA23 & Albo.

Take cescs with you while youre at it.

This place is beneath you, hahahaha.
